Everyone was already gathering for the ceremony. The weather was thankfully good and there was no wind. The sun was setting, giving out a beautiful array of colors in the sky. Jessica's parents were busy talking to Adam's mom and meeting with coach Orion and Bombay, who had flown over from Chicago to attend. The Ducks were taking turns playing the baby and taking pictures with him.

"Everyone, please take your seats." The priest instructed everyone.

Adam was standing in the front, surrounded by Charlie who was his best man and Jesse, Guy and Fulton who were his groomsmen. On the other side, Julie and Connie wore matching dresses as the bridesmaids. Jessica started walking down the aisle, accompanied by her father. She wore a beautiful white dress and a fur wrap since it was cold outside. As she took her place opposite Adam, the priest began the wedding rites, calling for them to repeat after him.

"I, Adam Joseph Banks, take you, Jessica Ann Davis, to be my lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.

Jessica repeated the same vow, after which the priest said "I pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride." As Adam leaned in to kiss her, everyone started cheering and clapping. Unbeknownst to anyone, his father was watching from a distance, a faint smile plastered on his face, one full of regrets and pain.

"Hey, so, you think this will be us some day?" Noah asked Charlie with a smirk on his face.

Charlie blushed. "Woah, I think it's a little early for us you know, unless you're pregnant and I don't know!" He joked nervously and loosened his tie.

It was now the time for the reception and everyone drove downtown to the venue. The place was spacious and beautifully decorated in white and a 5 tier wedding cake stood in the middle. Slow music started playing and Adam and Jessica decided to have the first dance. They swayed to the rhythm, embraced, thankful that they found each other.
