Chapter 30
"Mommy, I want uncle sushi!" Momo kicked her feet to prevent having PJs put on.
"Uncle sushi is not home yet, princess, so let's be a good girl and get dressed extra pretty for him when he gets home. Ok?" Kagome tried to pursue her child.
"NO!" Momo kicked her mother's hands away and ran out naked.
"Momo! Come back!" Kagome ran after.
Momo giggled while running through the hallway completely naked, as she had discarded her pull up sometime ago as well.
"Oh my? Sweet Momo, we mustn't run about naked, darling. It is far too cold for such things." Inukimi chased after her grandchild.
"Kagome? Do you know that?" An angered Kagome cut off toga.
"YES! I KNOW! MOMO! COME BACK HERE! YOUR GONNA PEE ALL OVER YOURSELF!" Kagome picked up the pace chasing her.
"Ewww! Why is Momo naked!" Uryu said, watching his little sister run away from Kagome, Inukimi, and Toga.
"Momo?! How about if we put on a pretty princess nightgown?" Inukimi tried to ask.
"NO! I WANT UNCLE SUSHI!" Momo ran into the kitchen.
"Kanna! Please grab Momo! If she gets sick, Sesshomaru will probably kill you!?" Kagome tried to trick the bored Kanna, who was eating cereal at the kitchen table.
"I don't know about that? It's weird grabbing, touching, holding, or even just acknowledging other people's kids. It comes off kinda pervy if you ask me, you know? Like why would I want someone touching my kid? I don't even know why'd you ask a stranger to pick up your naked baby. That's just so irresponsible. And I'm not some random pervert person-" Kanna was cut off by the unified yelling of her name.
"KANNA! SHUT UP!" The three adults yelled.
Kanna rolled her eyes and went back to eating.
Dinner was spent annoyingly for the young Rin, who was constantly pestered by an unnerving Sesshomaru.
They decided to walk back to the cabin to walk off their Mexican meal.
"I'm just saying after so long I told you about said joke. Also, let's not forget that you knew ahead of time that there'd be a punishment? So you holding out this long acting like it was real and your not just messing with me is just silly." Sesshomaru said as he walked the long path.
"And I'm just saying you are literally driving me insane! I said I was sorry like 1000 times!" Rin groaned, annoyed.
"Just admit that you are trying to mess with me? I already know that's the case?" Sesshomaru looked to her for his answer he was sure of.
"Ok! Fine! I said it on purpose! Now can you please please please! Let it go!" Rin begged with a face of frustrated annoyance.
"Oh my god!? You really were thinking of some other guy? You've never even kissed him! What the fuck makes you think he's anywhere near my level!" Sesshomaru became angered.
Rin rolled her eyes and hid her triumphant smile under her palms. He was practically digging his own grave of insecurity, and she loved it!
"Oh speak of the devil, and he comes rolling up." Sesshomaru rolled his eyes.
"Evening, Mr.Taisho! Hey, there, cutie. Need a lift back to your cabin, sir?" Shippo asked Sesshomaru while looking at Rin.
Rin blushed and began fidgeting with her gloves.
"Ugh, hi.." she shyly waved.
"Seriously? This is exactly why I don't get involved with your idiotic generation. No, you annoying little pest. Don't presume ever to speak and or look in my direction again, by the way." Sesshomaru threatened.
Rin looked appalled at Sesshomaru. She then elbowed him and looked back at the scared and confused Shippo.
"I'm sorry, just ignore him. He's constipated, and a little cranky is all." Rin smiled, trying to push Sesshomaru away.
Shippo blinked, confused, and shrugged off the weird encounter.
"Really? I can not believe this. Why didn't you try and go back with him? Fulfill your fantasies." Sesshomaru mocked.
"Can you please let it go already! Have you really never ever said the wrong name before!? I mean, seriously, give me a break!" Rin yelled.
"My case is a very different one! I didn't know their name, to begin with." Sesshomaru said quickly, realizing how that doesn't make him look too good.
"Wow! Your right, so much better." Rin teased.
Sesshomaru smiled and couldn't think of anything to say to help himself.
Just as he was about to speak, Rin held onto his arm and cuddled in close.
"I really didn't mean to hurt your feelings. So if I did, I'm sorry." Rin said softly and honestly.
In truth, teasing him was one thing. But if she had genuinely offended and or hurt him, then she'd come clean and apologize.
Sesshomaru was caught off guard; something about what she had said meant more to him than he'd ever care to admit.
There is a rider coming. They could potentially harm her. Move her quickly.
Sesshomaru heard his thoughts like an echo.
"Hey, stop being weird, alright? It's in the past... Can you just stand over here, please?" Sesshomaru tugged Rins arm aggressively behind him.
Just then, two young teens sped past on snow bikes. The young girl yelled sorry as the boy just laughed and sped up.
"Oh wow! Thanks! I could've.." Rin was flustered for having nearly escaped death.
"Don't think about it. You ok?" Sesshomaru checked her to make sure she was okay.
Rin nodded and smiled at him. "That was great timing and becoming all gentlemanly and what not. Also, I really was teasing. I was never thinking about Shippo. It literally took all self control in me not to say your name the whole time." Rin blushed, holding his hand.
Sesshomaru smiled. He held her hand within his own and began walking with her under his arm.
"I guess the only way to find out if your telling the truth is to put it to the test? Let's see how many different I can get you to scream out tonight?" Sesshomaru smirked as he walked her up the porch.
Rin blushed and leaned up to kiss the lips that sent shivers down her spine. Just as Sesshomaru began to lower the lids of his eyes to place a chaste kiss upon her soft lips, the door was swung open madly.
Inuyasha and both boys ran into Sesshomaru and Rin and fell into the snow.
"What the hell! Why are you just standing there like that, ya jackass! Rin, I'm so sorry you ok!?" Inuyasha immediately tried to lift the young girl onto her feet.
"Forgive me. I should have come in through the damn window, you miserable excuse of a man!" Sesshomaru growled out, tossing his brother a few feet behind him.
"Wow? Uncle sushi is super strong?" Renji said, watching his father fly.
"That or dad's pink hair turns him into a half girl?" Uryu said, sitting in the snow.
"Why were you guys running out? It's freezing, and you both are not covered up!? Come on." Sesshomaru lifted both boys.
"NO! It smells like poop in there!" Renji and Uryu screamed.
"Inuyasha, what the fudging fudge is going on? I swear I'm not in the mood for this sheet!" Sesshomaru yelled at his sore brother in irritation.
"What the hells your problem!? Why are you so beachy!" Inuyasha yelled back.
"Inuyasha, unless you wanna go skydiving courtesy of my fist, you'll answer me!" Sesshomaru glared while covering the boys in his sweater he'd taken off.
"You don't gotta uncle sushi; it's not that cold," Renji said, trembling.
"Uncle sushi, why do your clothes always smell good?" Uryu asked.
Sesshomaru smiled at his nephews and walked back onto the porch.
"Momo was running around naked and started poo running," Inuyasha said, rubbing his sore lower back.
"Oh no! It sounds like I better get in quick!" Rin ran inside.
"Poo running? Do I even want to know what that means? Why was she naked to begin with? Are you people truly this incapable of taking care of your own children?" Sesshomaru asked, angered that he and Rins's moment was interrupted.
"Hey! I'd like to see you handle the kids when they want someone specific to do something for them. It's impossible! Plus their kids. Who cares if they run around naked sometimes and accidents happen." Inuyasha held his nose as he entered the cabin.
Sesshomaru rolled his eyes and walked in, setting down Renji and Uryu.
"Rin! It smells so bad! Hide in uncle sushi's closet!" The boys yelled and ran upstairs.
"Now, just a minute young masters! Make sure you do not track any remnants of your sister's poo with you!" Jaken ran after the boys, careful not to step in any mess.
Sesshomaru could swear that he'd been slapped in the face with a bag of burning shit. The odor so much stronger than he'd assumed.
He tried covering his nose and mouth casually at first. He then felt his head spin in pain from the odors around him.
What the hell it was he was smelling; he had no idea! But it seemed as if there were multiple scents that disgusted him.
We must leave this scent; they challenge you by marking the room. That, and it smells horrendous.
Sesshomaru could no longer concentrate. He began to gag and stepped back outside, hoping that the fresh air would help calm him.
He was so wrong...
Sesshomaru upchucked over the banister violently. His stomach felt as if it was being pumped. This torture on his body continued for 3 minutes straight.
Jaken and Kanna quickly cleaned and sanitized. They also made sure to open the windows, so the scent of cleaners didn't give their boss a migraine.
Once clean, Rin brought the now cleaned Momo to her uncle in a cute princess style nightgown that he had purchased her.
"Are you ok, uncle sushi?" Momo asked embarrassingly.
"Yes, uncle sushi is fine. I just ate something bad at the restaurant, is all. You look, beautiful princess." Sesshomaru grabbed her from Rin, immediately falling back onto the couch.
"Sesshomaru! You ok? Rin, can you please take Momo and the boys to bed?" Inuyasha asked.
"No, daddy, I wanna stay with uncle sushi!" Momo whined.
"Uncle sushi might have a jelly monster in his tummy. He has to get it all out, and then in the morning, you can play all day with him, ok? Daddy promises." Inuyasha kissed her head and sent her up.
Momo agreed and said Goodnight, along with wishing her uncle a goodnight.
"I'm sorry, I could've dropped Momo. I-" Inuyasha cut off his brother's apology.
"You'd bust your own head open before you'd let Momo get hurt. You ok? Guess I forget that you wouldn't be used to this kinda thing?" Inuyasha handed him a cold, bottled ginger ale.
"Yeah, guess not...I'm sorry about what I said earlier. I didn't mean it." Sesshomaru said, placing the cold bottle to his head.
"Don't worry about it. Sometimes it really does look like Kagome, and I can't handle them." Inuyasha joked lightly, trying to uplift his brother's spirits.
"Yeah, but most of the time, you guys are killing it at the whole parent thing." Sesshomaru practically whispered as he was beginning to feel nauseous again.
"Hey, let's get you upstairs; you really don't look too good?" Inuyasha tried to place a hand on his brother's shoulder.
Sesshomaru pushed his brother's hand away and ran while covering his mouth back outside. He vomited twice more before it finally ended.
Your lack of self control is such a miserable sight.
Sesshomaru wondered why he was putting himself down for no reason.
He crouched down back against the railing. Letting the cold air whisp his hair around to calm him his aching stomach.
Inuyasha sat beside him and took in his brother's appearance. He looked bothered? Confused? Tired maybe?
"Hey? You know how I always come to you for help or advice or whatever? You know you can do the same, right?" Inuyasha asked.
"Thanks, I'll remember that for later." Sesshomaru was breathing heavily.
"You want some help up?" Inuyasha asked.
"No, I'll be fine. I honestly think I just ate bad meat or something. I'll be fine. Go to your family." Sesshomaru opened the bottled drink his brother gave him and took a long swig of it.
There was nothing wrong with the food you consumed. You are simply not used to such intensified scents. It was not merely the smell of the girl's secretion but the scent of the entire cabin and people within it.
Sesshomaru hit his head against the post lightly. "Now is not the time to be talking to yourself," Sesshomaru whispered to himself.
He stood up and grinned lightly at the irony of saying that out loud so he'd stop speaking to himself.
He walked inside slowly, heading up the stairs.
"Jaken, warm bath non scented please." Sesshomaru said as he began to undress.
Jaken assured his master he had it drawn already. He then proceeded to gather his master's discarded clothing.
Sesshomaru lowered himself into the warm waters and was immediately handed a warm towel to have over his face.
Sesshomaru accepted and began to relax.
"Hey, Jaken? Is Sesshomaru busy? I just wanted to check on him?" Rin asked Jaken, who was setting out his master's sleepwear on the bed.
"Master Sesshomaru is relaxing at the moment; he shall be well taken care of, I assure you," Jaken said loud enough for his master to hear.
"It's fine, Jaken; let her in; you are excused for the evening." Sesshomaru said through the bathroom door.
"Of course, sir. Goodnight" Jaken closed the door behind him.
Rin walked into the bathroom and sat on the tub. "Hey, you. You ok?" Rin held his hand, stroking the top with her thumb.
"Hey, you." Sesshomaru mimicked the action on her hand.
Sesshomaru removed the towel from his forehead and sat up, looking around.
"Something wrong?" Rin asked as she saw he was frantically looking for something.
"What is that? Can you smell that?" Sesshomaru asked, sitting up more.
Are you truly incapable of realizing that it is her scent on your own?
Sesshomaru shook his head and leaned into Rin.
"No? Smell what?" Rin asked as Sesshomaru leaned in closely.
"It's you? Your hair. Your skin. It...it smells amazing." Sesshomaru inhaled her scent deeply.
He nuzzled against her neck and laced his fingers through her hair. The scent was heavenly and sweet. Calming and comforting.
Rin blushed bright pink; she held his shoulder as he continued to inhale her. She had never had someone love her natural scent so much. It was turning her on in a weird way to feel so desired.
"You smell amazing. What is it." Sesshomaru nuzzled her more aggressively. His exhaling breath hitting her skin.
"Ugh, nothing? It's just my sweat, I guess?" Rin said embarrassingly.
Sesshomaru pulled her closer, his hand tight around her hip. He hadn't realized what he was doing until Rin pushed him away.
"Hey, stop already! You are acting weird... I mean... I liked it and all... but I can't tell if you are messing with me? Like was that your way of telling me to shower?" Rin asked, feeling self conscious now.
"NO! No, I'm sorry that was loud? Umm, I just.. after earlier your perfume, or? Sweat, I guess? It was just a really relieving smell. This is the first time since I walked in that my stomach wasn't turning." Sesshomaru said, suddenly realizing he was naked.
"Oh, well, thanks... I guess?" Rin smiled at him. She leaned in to give him a kiss when she was stopped.
"What is it? You just said!-" Rin was cut off.
"I swear I'm not toying. I just haven't brushed my teeth yet." Sesshomaru made a disgusted face.
"Oh...Sorry." Rin stood away from the bath so Sesshomaru could get out.
Sesshomaru pulled a towel around his waist and began brushing.
"Is Momo ok?" Sesshomaru said, muffled while brushing but still understandable.
"Yeah, she just had a little too much apple juice," Rin said, leaning forward and backward on her heels.
"Apple juice?" Sesshomaru questioned and then spat.
"Yeah. It's the natural laxative for your niece and nephews. That and popcorn? Goes right through them for some reason?" Rin giggled.
"Interesting?" Sesshomaru said before gargling with his mouthwash.
He spit the green liquid and rinsed out the sink when finished. He turned around to face Rin and smiled.
"Feel better now?" Rin asked as she slowly moved closer.
"A lot." Sesshomaru allowed her to come into his arms.
He held her close as she wrapped her arms around his waist.
She looked up for a moment and was greeted with a soft and sensual kiss. When Sesshomaru pulled away, Rin was still caught in the tingling feeling it gave her.
"See now you wouldn't have still been on cloud nine had I not brushed." Sesshomaru teased.
Rin rolled her eyes and hugged his wet form. "Your insufferable sometimes, you know that?" Rin giggled.
She wondered for a moment if Sesshomaru even realized they were hugging. Not wanting it to end, she remained silent.
Sesshomaru held her close amongst the chaos, fear, confusion, and complete disgust. She had remained forever comforting. He hadn't known why and, in truth, didn't care. He simply wanted to hold her.
Hold her, and remember this scent for the rest of his life.
"I was gonna grab a shower? Care to join?" Rin asked, looking up at him.
"No!" Sesshomaru said louder and more aggressive than he meant. "I mean, I really don't know what's going on with me...but do you think you can just stay with me for a while? You can use my shower in the morning." Sesshomaru caressed her arms gently.
Rin blinked up, confused and slightly frightened. She then smiled and kissed him softly. "Yeah, ok." Rin smiled.
Sesshomaru felt immediate relief. He held her tighter against his person and began kissing her passionately.
Rin stretched her arms around his neck, standing on her tiptoes, giggling into their kiss. Her innocent giggling making Sesshomaru smile.
Sesshomaru broke the kiss and touched his forehead to hers. Silently apologizing that he didn't believe his body was up to any 'physical activity' tonight.
Rin understood and hand in hand with him to his bed.
"You want your pajamas?" Rin asked as she seen him simply drop his towel and collapse in bed, waiting for her.
"No, I don't think I can honestly handle anything pressing against my stomach tonight." Sesshomaru said, not realizing how alluring he appeared.
Rin smiled and bit her bottom lip; she then began to shed her clothes. Dressing in his left out underwear and shirt.
Sesshomaru smiled and patted the bed next to him. Rin jumped on his bed and apologized after.
"Sorry! I forgot about your stomach?" Rin kissed his stomach a few times quickly. "All better!" Rin snuggled into him.
Sesshomaru only chuckled lightly. He held her close and inhaled her scent as he slowly drifted to sleep.
Each day after Christmas, Sesshomaru and Rin found a way to sneak hidden moments with each other.
Rin realizing how much she was truly loving each and every stolen moment decided that tonight. New Years night, she'd confess her true feelings. Tonight would be the night she told him. She was in love.
December 31st The Taisho family decided to spend together and out. Sesshomaru, happy to oblige them, planning on making the most of his time with his family. He hadn't been working these past days, and he knew it wasn't something he could keep up.
He knew he'd remain true to his vow and make sure that when able, he'd visit his family and make more of an effort to see them on the weekdays.
The weekends, however? He would most definitely be there! Every Saturday after work, he'd take the kids from Inuyasha and Kagome, have them sleepover with him, and then Sunday, return them and stay for dinner.
He just knew his first few weekdays would keep him tiringly busy. And so Sesshomaru made sure to enjoy this day with his family to the fullest.
The morning started with a buffet style breakfast where the kids loved watching Jaken serve on Sesshomaru and argue with the cooks about how it isn't good enough.
After they walked out to an open play area, the resort had for kids. The Taisho family watched as the three joys of their lives played and made friends with other kids.
From there, they went sledding. Where Sesshomaru often held all three kids on his person. The kids loved these moments most because of how fast their uncle could take them without being scared.
They enjoyed sledding for a long while before resting by an outdoor campfire enjoying uncle sushi hot cocoa.
Bringing the kids back to the cabin, allowing them a nap before their small New Years' party, gave the adults time to rest and get cleaned up themselves.
Rin busied herself with preparing mini meals for the kids for when they woke. She then tried to tidy up a bit until she felt strong arms pull her away from her task.
She yelled, playfully laughing as his arms tickled her midsection.
He pulled them into the hidden hallway that housed the bathroom Yachiru cried in so many nights ago.
His kisses were loud and passionate, his hands tender and exploring.
Rin smiled into their kiss, gladly helping to undo clothes quickly.
Sesshomaru hummed into their kiss as he felt her hands undoing his pants as his fingers glided between her legs.
He could feel her becoming more and more moist each time his fingers slid up and down.
"Sesshomaru? What if someone comes down?" Rin broke their kiss primarily for air. She decided, while trying to catch her breath, she'd voice her worries as well.
"They are all showering, they'll be a while, and if anyone happens to come down sooner, it won't be a problem. Just as long as your quiet." Sesshomaru smiled and dove back into her mouth.
Rin loved how he took control; she loved how his tongue glided across her mouth and tangled with her own.
She pulled Sesshomaru free and began to stroke hardening length.
This only made Sesshomaru less patient. He used his nails to cut a hole in her leggings, ripping them apart just enough to accommodate himself.
"Really? Why do you always have to rip my clothes?" Rin huffed angrily as Sesshomaru lifted her by her backside.
Sesshomaru shoved into her without warning, meaning Rin quickly covers her mouth as her eyes rolled in the back of her head.
"Because your clothes are always in the way," Sesshomaru smirked, watching her reaction to his size.
Rin braced herself using Sesshomarus's left shoulder; she kept her hand over her mouth to keep from making noise.
Sesshomaru pounding into her center repeatedly. He was driving her mad. Suddenly fear hit her when her name was called from above.
"Rin!? Hey, Rin, I'm heading to the market? You wanna come?" Kagome called out loudly.
"Answer her," Sesshomaru whispered into her ear. His pounding becoming more brutal and vigilant.
Rin swallowed a moan and answered back as best she could.
"Ugh, no, no, thank you! I'll stay in case the kids wake up!" Rins body shook from the amount of pleasure she was feeling.
Somehow the thought of getting caught was arousing her even more.
"Ok, if they do, wake up before I'm home. Please make sure they all take baths. I want them clean for the new year. Hey, have you seen Sesshomaru?" Kagome began walking down the stairs.
Rin gasped and quickly swallowed it. She tried again to speak clearly as Sesshomaru was not letting up.
"Ugh? What? Him? Ugh no! I haven't, Hmm, seen him! So so sorry!" Rin felt her inner walls tightening.
Sesshomaru smirked at her. He had raised her shirt high enough to gain access to her breast. With one rough tug on her nipple and nip at her skin, Rin came hard.
"Ok? I guess I'll just-" a screaming Rin cut off kagome.
"OH, GOD!!" Rin let out, and Sesshomaru began quietly chuckling as he covered her mouth.
"Rin! What! What's wrong!? Where are you!?" Kagome panicked.
"I'm fine! Just a spider...A really big scary spider..." Rin exhaled heavily.
Sesshomaru let her slide down the wall to the floor to recover as he rolled off his condom.
Rin stared and tried to catch her breath. She could hear Kagome squeal and run out of the cabin.
Sesshomaru stared for a little while before setting himself appropriately.
"I should go change? It looks like I ripped my pants." Rin smiled.
Sesshomaru smiled and held his hand out to her.
Rin accepted and stood, slowly she wrapped her arms around him, resting into his chest.
Sesshomaru inhaled her deeply. Ever since that night, he couldn't stop. He'd found some way to make sure that he'd have at least one if not multiple exchanges between them so that her scent could calm his body.
"I need to speak with you this evening if Kagome and Inuyasha have not already," Sesshomaru whispered as he began kissing her softly again.
"Sure. Is everything ok? Like is it a bad conversation they're having with me? Did I get in trouble?" Rin teased with that smile that melted Sesshomarus's icy walls.
Sesshomaru smiled into their kiss. He held her tighter and broke away.
"Depends on how you see the situation, I suppose?" Sesshomaru was about to speak again when his father's loud voice called out for him.
"Sesshomaru!? Hey, you down here?!" Toga called out.
"Yeah? Down here, what's going on?" Sesshomaru sighed, annoyed.
His refusal to let go of the charming girl was broken swiftly when Toga could be heard only footsteps away.
Rin busied herself with nothing while Sesshomaru walked out seemingly unbothered.
"What are you doing back here? Come on, and I wanted to run something by you and give you a few pointers on how to work over Mr.Kuchiki." Toga said with energy.
"Yeah, ok. What is it you want to go over?" Sesshomaru said, tucking his shirt properly in his pants.
Toga gave the scene another look and became angrily suspicious. "You never answered? What brings you two back here?" Toga rose and angry, accusing brow.
Rin blushed and was about to speak when Sesshomaru spoke easily enough for both of them.
"Bathroom? Why? Curious of what comes out of my ass all of a sudden, Toga? And how the fuck am I supposed to know what the spawn of Kikyo is doing. Probably trying to steal something for all you people know." Sesshomaru retorted.
Toga looked to Sesshomaru, shocked. Just before he spoke, Rin angrily stepped in.
"Hey! I thought we were past the whole spawn of Kikyo thing! Are you seriously only gonna be human in front of the kids? And stealing, really? I was looking for you because Kagome was asking about you earlier, jerk." Rin crossed her arms.
"1 I am human to those who deserve it! 2 That's what nanny's do! That and sleep with the guy they work for. 3. I don't trust you! And you and your demon spawn mother can back to hell where yous come from!" Sesshomaru yelled back.
"You seriously need to let your past go! You'll age quicker!" Rin stuck her tongue out.
Sesshomaru smiled smugly as Toga tried to break up the argument.
"I think I'll be fine on the aging front. Oh! And by the way? There's a hole in your pants, nanny." Sesshomaru smiled victoriously.
Rin grabbed her rear and eeped embarrassed. She looked confused and mortified and ran away.
Sesshomaru smiled and looked to Toga, who was confused and still suspicious.
"What? I don't trust her." Sesshomaru shrugged and walked to the living room.
Toga shook his head and continued in conversation with his son.
"Oh, Sango, they are beautiful! I'm so sorry we aren't there! We'll be there as soon as possible though count on it!" Kagome and Inuyasha said to their friends on FaceTime as Sango had gone into labor.
They exchanged their thanks and wishes of wellness before hanging up making plans for January 3rd.
Rin didn't give too much attention as she kept sneaking glances at her secret lover, who'd she be revealing her true feelings for soon.
She was nervous and excited and felt extremely awkward. She thought about how the relationship would work out, being that she worked for his younger brother.
Would she trade takin on care of Renji, Uryu, and Momo to be with Sesshomaru? Rin felt sick for a moment. Her stomach was turning from nerves and uncertainty.
She breathed and drank some cold water to calm herself. She was more than sure she'd never have to choose. Deep within her heart, she knew, just knew! Sesshomaru was the one.
"Get him! Get him uncle sushi! Quick he's up there! Don't let him win!" Renji and Uryu yelled in excitement as their uncle played their Fortnite game.
Sesshomaru sat cross legged on the floor and felt the excitement build in his core. His body moved with the excitement as he felt that had his physical person shifted and moved, the virtual character would as well.
He aimed, shot, and looted one player giving him the advantage over the last, after healing himself and drinking a large blue drink. He shot the virtual player dressed as a ninja and won the game!
"Yes! Suck it! Now it is we who shall dance upon your corpse!" Sesshomaru handed the controller to Uryu, who made his video game character do the Gangnam style dance over his friend.
Rin laughed from the kitchen as she was cooking a special New Years meal. She had told everyone that she wanted to do something special for the kids. But in truth, she wanted to do something extra special for Sesshomaru. She cooked and baked something she hoped would put him in a good mood.
"Sesshomaru, you realize again that it's a six year old kid; you just said suck it too, right?" Inuyasha mocked.
"Who cares? I won, and he lost, and that's that." Sesshomaru smiled.
"Come on; uncle sushi, let's play again!" The boys both tried to keep their uncle from rising.
"I'm sorry, guys. Uncle has to walk around a little now." Sesshomaru smiled. He got up and was sore.
"Uncle sushi, why are you so the best at everything good?" Momo said, asking for him to lift her up.
"I don't know? Why are you the best at everything that has to do with me loving you?" Sesshomaru asked as he lifted her, adding to the pain in his lower back.
"Momo, how about we give your uncle a break?" Inuyasha tried to get her.
"No, DADDY! This is my uncle sushi!" Momo held his neck tightly.
"Yeah! Stop being such a pink loser, Inuyasha." Sesshomaru stuck his tongue out childishly and hugged Momo tighter.
Momo giggled and enjoyed her special time with her uncle.
"So is everything worked out for tomorrow than darlings?" Inukimi asked while sipping on some tea.
"Yeah, should be ma," Inuyasha answered her.
"We, of course, will still have another party later for our sweet girls, yes?" Izayoi asked, brushing out Kagome's hair with her hand lovingly.
Kagome smiled, she knew she and Izayoi didn't always see eye to eye, but she truly was like a second mother to Kagome. She loved her and valued Izayois time in her life more than anything.
"What do you guys talking about?" Rin asked as she overheard the conversation from the kitchen.
"Ah, man! Rin, I'm so sorry! I totally spaced! We are leaving the day after tomorrow. We are gonna celebrate Kagome and Momo's birthday here and then for their real birthday back at home. Is there anything you wanna do here before we go? I was supposed to tell you this yesterday. I'm so sorry!" Inuyasha said.
"No! Don't worry about it; I go where you guys go!" Rin smiled. It would seem her plan to tell him things tonight was the right idea after all.
"You sure? I'm more than sure Sesshomaru can arrange for you to stay a little longer if you want? It'll give you a chance to hang out with that boy here that seems to like you?" Toga offered kindly.
Rin blushed as Sesshomaru rolled his eyes. "No, that's ok. Turns out he isn't as charming as I thought. Besides, I think theirs someone else." Rin blushed.
"Oh? Do share, sweetie." Inukimi looked to her with intrigue.
"Well, I can't say too much...It's still pretty fresh. But I really like him. A lot." Rin blushed and stole a glance at Sesshomaru.
Kanna rolled her eyes. Before she could say how obvious it was that she was talking about her boss, Sesshomaru slapped her upside the head.
"Ow! What was that for! I haven't even said anything yet!" Kanna yelled while rubbing the back of her head.
"Precisely. Maybe now you'll think about that aching pain in your head before attempting to open your mouth on matters that do not concern you." Sesshomaru spoke threateningly and low.
Kanna looked away and kept quiet, not wanting to see what would happen if she had continued despite his warning.
"Well, I'm happy for you, Rin! That's great!" Kagome beamed.
"Yeah, same. I hope our leaving early doesn't interfere with you guys?" Inuyasha said with concern.
He was genuinely happy for the young woman who helped raise his kids for so long.
"No, It'll be fine." Rin smiled. "Thanks, everyone! You all are really great!" Rin smiled with a light blush.
Sesshomaru feeling uneasy by what she had said, decided it be best to put space between them.
Jaken handed him a drink, and Sesshomaru made his way to sit at the piano. He set Momo down on the lid as he began to play her a song.
"Uncle sushi! Can you play little star!" Momo asked excitedly, squeezing her doll.
Sesshomaru smiled and began to play a fancier version of twinkle little star with Momo singing.
"Oh, sweetheart! I adore it when you play! You've always played so beautifully! Would you please sing me my favorite song, darling?" Inukimi asked with puppy dog eyes.
Sesshomaru sighed as he knew that was going to happen. He smiled at his mother and agreed.
He cracked his knuckles and thought back to a song his mother enjoyed him singing.
His fingers began a soft tune on the keys. He then began to sing the song Honesty by Billy Joel.
Rin looked up in shock and smiled widely. The way he carried every note, the way his fingers played the tune.
Rin felt herself immediately melt in complete adoration.
His family smiled as he sang. It had been so long since any of them heard their son truly sing the way he is now. Whereas before, he could be caught singing random melodies throughout the day.
When Sesshomaru finally finished, everyone clapped loudly. Momo, the loudest, immediately hugged her uncle by jumping from the lid of the piano.
"That was even better than the fox song uncle sushi!" Momo smiled.
Sesshomaru smiled back and thanked her. He hugged her and kissed her, setting her down.
"Oh wow, you are an amazing singer," Rin said out loud. She had meant to think it and tell him later.
Sesshomaru rose a brow and thanked the young girl. He then went back to ignoring her.
"Oh, maybe you boys could sing something together again! I please! That song you boys used to sing! It was so beautiful!" Izayoi begged.
"Come on, mom, dinner is almost ready. Besides, I don't even know what song you are talking about." Inuyasha lied. He was sure, however, that Sesshomaru had forgotten it.
"The Reason." Sesshomaru said, looking down at his finished drink. "She's talking about The Reason, the one we use to sing after mom and dad got back together from separating," Sesshomaru spoke as if talking to the cubes of ice in his cup.
"I didn't know that's why you guys left. I thought ma was just taking you traveling with her again?" Inuyasha said in a broken tone.
"Nope. The second time I was held back in school was because mom and dad got into an argument and were getting divorced. Had it not been for that mom, I'm sure they would've gone through with it." Sesshomaru jested to Izayoi while smiling lightly.
"I didn't know." Inuyasha felt guilty. How many things had his brother known about and dealt with on his own? "If that's the song she's talking about, I still remember how to play it..? Do you?" Inuyasha tried to offer a smile.
Sesshomaru spun back around to face the keys to the piano. "I don't recall it being fairly complicated." Sesshomaru smiled as he began pressing one key repeatedly.
Inuyasha laughed and grabbed an acoustic guitar that sat on a stand for looks he assumed.
Tuning and readying, he sat on a chair that Toga put out for him.
Their father and mothers beaming with love and pride, once again began recording their boys.
Sesshomaru began,
"I'm not a perfect person

And the reason is you," Inuyasha sang, feeling the hurt in Sesshomarus's heart by simply seeing his eyes soften.
His chest tightened, seeing his older brother in such a way. How long had he been hurt with no one there?
Both men began to sing together.
"And the reason is you."
"And the reason is you," Sesshomaru sang with purpose. He'd never allow the vile images he solely remembered ever to happen again.
"And the reason is you" Inuyasha could feel himself becoming more emotional. He knew just by looking at his brother that Sesshomaru was making a promise to him.
"I'm not a perfect person" Sesshomaru smiled softly at his younger brother.
"I never meant to do those things to you," Inuyasha sang back his apology.
"And so I have to say before I go," Sesshomaru began again.
"That I just want you to know," Inuyasha sang loudly.
"I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be

I've found a reason to show
A side of me you didn't know
A reason for all that I do
And the reason is you" Both men harmonized and sang to the other.
Once the song finished, all excluding the children, had tears; they refused to cry. It wasn't a sadness. It wasn't a hurt.
But to see such an honest and true love between brothers was something so touching and real they couldn't help but feel at peace. Their family was whole again.
Inuyasha rubbed at his eyes, making Sesshomaru send him a teasing grin.
"All choked up there, little brother?" Sesshomaru smiled as Momo hopped back into his lap.
"No! I just got some dust in my eye!" Inuyasha snapped.
Sesshomaru smiled and set Momo down. "I know; I love you too, little brother." Sesshomaru walked away, stilling when he noticed Rin crying like an infant. "What the hell happen to you?!" Sesshomaru asked, shocked and confused.
"YOU AND INUYASHA LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH!! THAT WAS THE SWEETEST THING IVE EVER SEEN!!" Rin balled out.
"Ok? Is someone going to handle the crying nanny?" Sesshomaru said boredly.
Rin ran up to him and held onto his body tightly, crying into his expensive shirt. Sesshomaru raised his hands in disgust.
"Someone get this thing off of me!" Sesshomaru said, uncomfortable by her public display of affection.
"YOU ARE SUCH A SWEET AND LOVING PERSON!" Rin cried out, hugging him, making everyone in the room laugh.
"Please get you people's nanny off of me." Sesshomaru said, hands still in the air.
"We can't force her, Sesshomaru." Inuyasha mocked.
"Yeah, it's not like she's our slave or anything?" Kagome teased.
"Just hug her back?! She'll let go then." Toga made fun of his son.
"You've got to be kidding me? Get off of me, nanny now!" Sesshomaru said more aggressively.
"NO! I WON'T!" Rin stopped crying.
"I'm not above hitting a woman; you know that, don't you?" Sesshomaru retorted.
"Rin, he isn't kidding. You should really let him go now." Inuyasha said, worried for her safety now.
Rin sniffled and wiped her nose on his shirt, making the kids laugh. "I don't believe it. He'd never hit a girl." Rin said with her tears now drying.
"That is disgusting! Do I look like your human tissue!? What is wrong with you!" Sesshomaru yelled.
"Oh, calm down; it's just a little snot." Kagome tried to calm her angry brother in law. "Rin, I don't think he's kidding? Haven't you ever talked to your mom about everything?" Kagome asked.
"No. She doesn't know I work for you guys. I never told anyone before who I worked for." Rin said, blowing her nose by untucking Sesshomarus shirt.
Sesshomaru angrily pulled his shirt open and threw it at her face. "Keep it!" Sesshomaru said angrily, now in only his undershirt.
"Well, if your ever curious, feel free to ask your mom for the details." Kagome smiled as she walked into the kitchen.
"Oh, come on! I guarantee you never fought her!?" Rin said as she went back to preparing a special sweet treat.
"Oh sweetheart, you allow the appearance of my son with the children to cloud your judgment. Just remember, sweet girl, we told you before as his family that he is an asshole." Inukimi said, smiling go at Sesshomaru.
"Love you to ma." Sesshomaru said jokingly.
"You know we love you, darling. It's just you have a bit of a mean streak in you." Izayoi said, stroking his head. "Thank you for your beautiful songs, though, and it was so wonderful to hear you singing again." Izayoi kissed his cheek and held him.
It pained her just as much to lose him during that year her husband and friend, and now lover split apart. Sesshomaru would call her at least three times a day and act like nothing was wrong. Always promising he'd be home to her soon.
Izayoi wiped a stray tear. And walked to the table to seat herself.
Sesshomaru didn't acknowledge her affection when she left. He simply allowed her the comfort of holding him close, knowing that was all she needed.
"Yep! Only girl in the world Sesshomaru didn't get along with." Toga joked, slapping Sesshomarus back harder than he meant.
Rin rolled her eyes and ignored it as she set dinner on the table. "Well! Everything is ready! Everybody dog in!" Rin presented her Italian feast.
"Hey! Italian, your favorite! Maybe you can let her hug go since she made your fave food?" Kagome teased.
"Doubtful. Just keep your nanny away from my person." Sesshomaru sat angrily.
Momo climbed up his leg and sat in his lap. Hitting his mouth with her pigtails. Sesshomaru smiled into her hair and started to kiss at the back of her neck repeatedly.
"Stop, uncle sushi!" Momo said with bright laughter. "I'm tickley!" Momo said, lifting Sesshomarus fork with salad on it guiding it to his mouth.
Sesshomaru smiled as she dropped most of it on his clothes and got the dressing all over his lips and chin.
"Why, thank you, that was so yummy." Sesshomaru smiled.
"Your very welcome!" Momo kept feeding him.
"Momo come sit next to mommy, let uncle sushi feed himself, please?" Kagome begged.
"No, that's ok, I gotta do it. Uncle sushi needs uncle sushi, love! Right uncle sushi?" Momo put the fork down and tried to give him to drink, spilling lightly on him.
"Oh my, that was cold! Yes, and I love your love! But maybe for right now? You can eat your own food? I'll be fine on my own." Sesshomaru tried to encourage her leaving.
"Nope!" Momo said, shoving more than a fork full of salad into his mouth. "Now eat your yummy grass, uncle sushi." Momo patted his head.
Sesshomaru choked while laughing at his niece. He waved everyone to calm down and that he was fine.
"Momo? How about if I feed uncle sushi? I promise I'll do a good job." Rin smiled, lifting her and placing her in her own chair beside herself.
"Why nana Rin? Do you love uncle sushi?" Momo gasped happily! "Are you gonna have babies with him!" Momo said excitedly.
Everyone spits out the drink or food in their mouth, coughing and trying to regain composure.
"Your gonna have to let uncle sushi use your supreme taco with his pepper if you want to?" Momo said while she spooned some cut up spaghetti into her mouth.
"I hate you, Sesshomaru... I hate you so much..." Inuyasha palmed his face.
"Wow... Not gonna lie? This has become the most awkward meal of my life." Sesshomaru said, riling his tongue around to get the leftover lettuce from Momos forkful earlier.
Rin froze in embarrassed silence. She had no clue what to say or do.
"Momo! Darling, let's not talk about that ever again, ok sweetheart!?" Izayoi said nervously.
"Sesshomaru, you can not be so careless with the kids like this?!" Toga said angrily to his son.
"Me? I'm sorry, are you blind? She hugged me and offered to feed me! That's why Momo thinks this! I never did anything with the spawn of Kikyo to make anyone think I like her!" Sesshomaru said aggressively to his father.
"He's right, my fault... So sorry..." Rin blushed. She began to wonder if he wasn't acting about his hatred for her, though.
"Uncle sushi? Why do you hate nana Rin? She's a good guy? You only hate bad guys?" Uryu said while eating a meatball.
"Can we please not talk about this anymore?!" Kagome became angered. "Rin, I'm sorry about this. Please don't take this the wrong way when I ask you not to interact to friendly with Inuyasha's brother anymore. Kids! Nana Rin and uncle sushi are not a mommy and daddy. That's a very not nice thing to say to people. Now apologize to nana Rin, and don't talk about things like that anymore. Sesshomaru, please let's keep this friendly?" Kagome begged her brother in law.
"Not a problem. I gotta go change, though, because my wet crotch is becoming irritatingly cold." Sesshomaru excused himself from the table.
Rin wanted to call after him, but she didn't.
She listened to what Kagome had said and did as she was told.
So much for a romantic dinner.
