In space. explosions filled the vast black sky, missiles, and plasma beams fired from every area. It was war in no other way of description.
Hayate and Mirage's Siegfried flew around before both shot down several enemy Lucifer units and then proceeds to fire missiles at an enemy Uraga class battleship.
"Hayate! Behind!" Mirage called out to Hayate on the comms as the young blue haired pilot turns to see three enemy Lucifer units flying behind and fire their Quantum Beam Cannon multiple times at the two.
"I got it!" Hayate exclaimed as his Siegfried transforms into Gerwalk mode and flew over a Lucifer Unit that flies pass through before getting destroyed by the blue Siegfried that transforms into Battroid Mode and fires its Railgun pods.
Hayate's Siegfried soon flew away with Mirage's as both just fired and flew away from incoming attacks from enemy units that came out of nowhere.
Meanwhile at Ragna. The battle in space occurred while the citizens of the planet are getting evacuated to the Island city.
"please this way!" Kaname hollered out to the evacuating citizens as she with Freyja, Makina and Reina are helping the military troops of Ragna in doing so. "please evacuate in a steady line!"
"there's nothing to be afraid of! Macross Elysion and the Delta Platoon will keep us all safe!" said Makina while helping an elderly couple evacuate to the Island Ship.
"please be calm and evacuate orderly!" Freyja exclaimed while having Qlulu riding on her head.
Kaname and the others keeps on evacuating the citizens before they heard a loud explosion from above. They look up and sees a large explosion occurring in space that seems to have come from an enemy cruiser that exploded.
"everyone…" Kaname muttered out before hearing her comms coming online.
"this is Ernest! How is it going with the evacuation of the civilians?!" Ernest called out while in the background, Kaname could hear explosions.
"this is Kaname! The evacuation is at 73%! We're still needing some time to evacuate everyone!" Kaname replied before she hears a loud engine roar, and she turns to look to see Ken's Stealth Class Cruiser hovering out of the seawater near the Island ship and slowly flies straight to the sky. "Captain Siriunis' cruiser is leaving? Is Scarlet controlling it?"
"Kaname!" a voice shouted out to Kaname who turns and sees Mikumo running to her with a panicked face.
"Mikumo?!" Kaname looks at Mikumo in surprise as the Mysterious Venus went to her while looking tired from running. "what are you doing here?! I thought I told you to stay on the Island ship with Captain Siriunis! He is in no condition-!"
"he's gone!" Mikumo stated. "Ken left the medical room when I left for a few seconds!"
"w-what?" said Kaname in confusion before she gasped and looks at the Stealth Class Cruiser that is flying into space. "don't tell me!"
Within the Stealth Class Cruiser ship. Ken walks in the hallways of his ship after getting out of the medical room. The man wears his pilot suit on while having a supportive oxygen mask strapped to his face while wearing his helmet.
"damn…..it's…..hard to breath…" Ken muttered out while huffs his breathing as he looks to have a rather hard time trying to intake oxygen into his lungs even with the oxygen mask on. "what is going on….with this body of mine?"
Ken walks to the hangar of his ship before he leans his body against the hallway's wall and slides down to the floor. The young man seems to be breathing even harder while sweating hard. The amount of sweat that he is exerting out is covering his whole face that soon had purple tattoo marks appearing all over it.
"guh!? W-what is this pain?!" Ken grunted out as the purple tattoo marks just appeared all over his face and let out a pulsing-like glow that repeated endlessly. Ken nearly screamed in pain as the purple glowing tattoo marks started to pulse and glow hard on his body that shows even under his pilot suit.
Ken wheezes out his breathing before he reaches his right hand to grab the part of the pilot suit that is covering his artificial left arm and just rips it off. He holds up his artificial left arm and pressed a button on the back palm area that opens a small compartment underneath the forearm area with a click sound.
Underneath the artificial arm's forearm compartment area is a small rectangular plastic box that slides out. Ken grabs the small plastic box and opens it, within it is a pair of small syringes filled with green and blue liquid each.
Ken grunted as he grabs the blue liquid-filled syringe and directly injects it through his suit and on his left thigh. He pressed the top down and the liquid gets directly injected into his blood system.
"ugh…gahh!" Ken grunted out in pain as the purple pulsing tattoo marks stopped pulsing and just left behind traces of themselves all over the man's face.
Ken huffs his breathing as he got back up and stands straight before inserting back the syringe into the plastic box and placed it away inside his artificial left arm.
He soon breathed normally but kept the oxygen mask strapped in his helmet. Ken started walking to the hangar again while tying up the shredded part of the pilot suit to prevent it from overexposure when he heads out in space while leaving his artificial left arm open.
"Meltys" Ken spoke out as his voice is filled with anger and rage.
In the battle at space, Arad's Siegfried flies by as it fires all its weaponry at an enemy's Northampton class battleship and destroyed it before flying away from Lucifer units that chase by.
Arad clicked his tongue in annoyance as the enemy Lucifer units fired their weapons at him, but he dodged easy but was soon confronted by one in Battroid Mode while having its Plasma rail gun beam pointed at him.
"damnit!" Arad grunted before the enemy Lucifer unit was shot down and destroyed by a charged-up red Quantum Beam that came from above it. Arad looks in surprise before he sees missile raining from above and destroyed each enemy Lucifer units that were on his tails. "what?"
Arad turns and sees Ken's Durandal flying over his Siegfried and zooms through the battlefield while being followed by his Messiah and several V-9 ghost units.
"Ken's Durandal, Messiah, and V-9 Ghosts!? Scarlet, huh?!" said Arad in surprise as he sees the Black VF along with the others started shooting down and destroying their enemy's units and ships one by one.
Arad sees the action before he sees several monitor screens popping out from the side of the cockpit that showed Hayate and the others.
"Major! Captain Siriunis is on his Durandal!" Mirage exclaimed as Arad made a surprised noise. "not only that, but his Cruiser also just exited Ragna's Atmosphere!"
"what?!" Arad turns to look, and he sees the Stealth Class Cruiser of Ken's entering the battlefield as it launched out more V-9 Ghost units while firing its weaponry at incoming nearby Lucifer units. "that stupid! I told him to be on standby with how his condition is!"
"me and Chuck will give him some support!" said Hayate as his Siegfried with Chuck's flew straight to where Ken's Durandal is.
"right'o!" Chuck replied in agreement to the action.
"wait!" Mirage shouted out as Arad sees her unit flying behind the two. "I'm coming too! I'm your captain!"
"geez, today is such a day" said Arad with a small smirk before his Siegfried flew and chase the tree.
Ken's Durandal flew around in space with the Messiah which was equipped with a Super Pack, both units firing their missiles before their plasma rail gun.
Explosions littered space as they shot down several enemy Lucifer units before flying off straight to an enemy's Northampton class ship then fired their missiles at the area of the command center and cause it to explode.
Ken grunted within his unit as his body feels taxed to the limit because of the high acceleration he's doing to his Durandal.
"not yet! Not yet!" Ken shouted out as his artificial right eye moves around fast and the man soon steers his unit to fly up in dodging fired plasma beams from several Enemy Lucifer units that are chasing after him. "even if Scarlet is not here to do the whole control!"
The Durandal and Messiah flew high in space before they transformed into Battroid mode while aiming their plasma rail gun down at the incoming enemy Lucifer units. The two charged their weapons before firing a combined shot that instantly pierced through 5 Lucifer units in two shots and caused them all to explode.
Ken huffs his breathing as he sucks in as much air the oxygen mask is giving him before he turns to look at the one Macross Class battleship that is within the enemy's fleet direct center. He looks at it and could guess very well that Meltys is on board it.
"Meltys.." Ken growled out as his artificial right eye's pupil glows red before his Durandal transformed into Fighter mode and then flew straight for the battleship with the Messiah and several V-9 ghost units following by.
Meltys sat upon the commander seat within the Macross Class battleship as she oversees her raiding fleet in attacking before she sees a screen that showed Ken's Durandal and Messiah flying straight for her.
"that Durandal and Messiah.." Meltys muttered out before smirking while chuckling a bit. "those units are rather nostalgic to see…" she pressed a button on the screen as the Macross Class Battleship undergoes transformation to attack mode while its plasma turrets fired at Ken's fighters. "but I don't intend to lose to the likes of you."
Upon her word, dozens more of Lucifer units flew straight for Ken's Durandal and Messiah as they started firing in giving cover for the Macross Class battleship that is still undergoing transformation.
Ken's Durandal and Messiah flew away while the V-9 Ghost units gets shot down by the enemy Lucifer units which chased after the two.
Meltys chuckles while still smirking as she taps her finger to a monitor screen two times that showed an image of another screen with the title of 'AVP 2.0' that was red before turning green.
"chess is all about patience before striking after all." Said Meltys with a chuckle. "when your opponent's guard is down. That is the right moment to strike."
Ken flew his unit as he grunted in annoyance because his Durandal fired and shot down a Lucifer before another one came in chasing after him.
"damnit!" Ken grunted as his ammo were running dry soon. He quickly pressed a few buttons on the front screen as it was connecting to his Cruiser's systems. "there's no choice!"
Upon Ken's Stealth Class Cruiser that was firing at incoming enemy Lucifers. In the hangar bay, the remaining V-9 ghost units launched out before the Koenig Monster that was in the storage chamber area docked by and is soon launching out with no pilot on board it.
Ken flew his Durandal away as his Messiah follows by while still being chased by enemy Lucifer units that started to get shot down by Hayate, Chuck, and Mirage's Siegfried that came by.
"you guys.." Ken muttered out before seeing several monitor screens popping up in his monitor that showed Hayate, Mirage, and Chuck in them.
"Captain! You're just off doing crazy things!" said Hayate to Ken. "do you hate doctors or something!?"
"with your body's condition. I'm amazed that you still hanging on, Captain!" said Chuck with a surprised look.
"you two be serious!" Mirage shouted at them before she looks at Ken. "Captain Siriunis, you were given orders on standby! You are not well prepared for this battle!"
"lecture me when we finish this battle and finish Meltys off" said Ken before he grunted in pain as his vision started to blur. "n-not now!"
"Captain?! What's wrong!? Do you feel something wrong?!" Chuck called out to Ken whose hearing started to go deaf.
"just by looking you can already tell, can't you?!" Hayate shouted out before several beeps are heard from everyone's cockpit and Arad's face appeared on another monitor.
"you guys! Get out of there!" Arad shouted out loudly. "enemy's Macross Class battleship just transformed into attack mode and is going to fire its Macross Cannon right at us!"
"what?!" Hayate and the others exclaimed in unison while Ken couldn't hear anything, but he could feel that it was something bad.
Meltys watch as her Macross Class battleship finished its transformation into Attack mode and is now charging its Macross Cannon before firing straight at the defense line of Ken and the others.
"this should dwindle your number" said Meltys with a smirk before she made a small noise when she sees the Macross Elysion flying through and fired its Macross Cannon that collided with her own ship's. "going for a stalemate?"
Everyone in space watches as the two Macross Class battleship fired their Macross Cannon's beam at each other that resulted in a powerful exploding shockwave in space that decimated several VFs from both sides.
The Delta Platoon had flew off and got into a safety line from the explosion, so did Ken's Durandal and his Messiah.
"everyone alright?!" Arad called out to his team on the comms.
"yeah!" Hayate replied first.
"all accounted!" Mirage added in next.
"Captain Siriunis!" Chuck shouted out as everyone's faces appeared in the cockpit of the Durandal. They all see Ken whose oxygen mask that is strapped within his helmet is filled with blood that is bubbling from the man's breathing.
"Captain!" Mirage shouted out.
"i-I'm…fine…" Ken wheezes out before he coughs out more blood that just turns his oxygen mask even redder. He takes out the blue syringe from inside his artificial left arm and directly injects its content into his body from his right thigh again. The man grunted as he looks to be breathing a bit normally.
"you're clearly not!" Arad exclaimed before he hears a communication line getting through and Scarlet's image appeared on Ken's monitor screen.
"what the fricking hell just happened while I was gone?!" Scarlet nearly screamed in outrage. "I went off to get a message directly to Lady M, and when I get back. I find that bitch Meltys attacking Ragna and seeing you just getting choked on your own blood! Do you need brain surgery or something?!"
"K-Koenig Monster….o-online…f-fire it…Scarlet" Ken grunted out as he looks to be fading into the unconscious.
"I already know!" said Scarlet as Ken's Durandal and Messiah transforms into Fighter mode and flew off to the Stealth Class Cruiser. "but I'm getting you to the ship's medical bay first!"
Everyone watched the Durandal flew away before they turn and see several Defold portals opening in space with dozens of NUNS battleships flying through them.
"the cavalries are here!" said Chuck.
"about time!" Hayate added in.
"everyone! The enemy's ships!" Mirage exclaimed as everyone sees the enemy's battleships retreating into several Defold Portal as their numbers were now diminished while the reinforcements were large. "they're retreating!?"
"oh hell you won't!" Scarlet screamed out on everyone's monitors. "I won't let you escape this time, Meltys. you bitch!"
Upon Ken's Stealth Class Cruiser, the Koenig Monster flew out and transformed into Gerwalk mode while landing on top of the ship.
The Koenig Monster being controlled via remotely by Scarlet who aims the 4 rail cannons straight at Meltys' retreating battleships before firing several shots that instantly caused four large explosions in space.
2 Guantamo Class, a Northampton class, and the right arm side of Meltys' Macross Class battleship were engulfed in the explosion that completely obliterated them. The Macross Class battleship is the only one that survived while losing the right arm area in the process before it disappeared into a Defold Portal and fled.
"damnit! I missed by a few Meters!" Scarlet curses before the Koenig Monster jumps off and transforms into Fighter mode then flew off.
Meanwhile in the cruiser. Ken was brought into the medical room as he is getting his pilot suit taken off by two RAFAH units. His helmet was taken off and so is the strapped up Oxygen mask that instantly splattered out Ken's blood everywhere on the bed.
"god damnit, Ken!" Scarlet voice out as she appeared in her hologram form. "I told you to just rest and stay put like the doctors told you! Just look at yourself now!"
"M-Mel..tys…." Ken muttered out before coughing a few times.
"she got away again" Scarlet replied with a frustrated face. "that bitch…she must've planned for this attack when we retreated from Al-Shahal!"
"t-track…her…" Ken spoke out before his vision started to blur and darkens but he could still see Scarlet even in the smallest glimpse.
"I'll do whatever I can to track her down." Said Scarlet to Ken with a firm and tense face. "but I need you to rest, alright?"
Ken looks at her in the darkening vision before he slowly nodded, and everything went dark.
The battle in space is over as Meltys' fleet retreated when the NUNS reinforcement came to arrive.
We turn our attention back to Ragna and in the Island ship where everyone who was evacuated inside were told of the battle that ended.
"thank goodness!" said Freyja with a relieved smile.
"everyone pulled it off good!" Kaname added in.
"we won!" Makina cheered with Reina who did the same.
Everyone was all cheers and joy, except for Mikumo who seems to be frowning with sadness in her eyes.
Mikumo placed a hand over the Fold Quartz Crystal of her necklace which she takes off and holds in her right hand. A tear fell near Mikumo's heels as it came dropped right to the purple gem.
A meow is heard as Mikumo glance down and sees Don near her, the Mercat looks at Mikumo with a small frown on his face.
Mikumo looks at Don before she looks away and then walks off, leaving Don and everyone behind while going to who knows where.
