...

Ilaria

...

I gripped the hilt of my sword and prepared my shield beside me. My gaze fixed on him. His form, a dark cloud full of magnetic evil power. I walked to him. "I am aware, Ganondorf. I am insecure when it comes to decisions. Sometimes whatever I do turns into a bigger problem,"

He expelled a ray of energy straight at my face. I dodged strategically.

"I have no idea if whatever I do from now on will end up in a disaster. For me, or anyone else."

He teleported beside me. I sighed, unsheathed my sword and slashed at him. The cloud vanished and appeared far away.

"I have decided. No matter what happens, my priority now is to finish you!" I ran at him. The Master Sword glowing with power, my left hand burning in a golden glow.

Yes, you will finally give me a fight. Enough toying with you.

The cloud became solid.

'Direct hit!' I thought.

It vanished again and appeared behind me. He slashed with a white sword. Injuring my back.

I thought you had gotten stronger! Apparently not!

I shouted and ran at him again.

I hit and slashed, nothing worked.

Your father would have made a better job, unlike you.

Tears ran from my eyes. 'I can't give up, I can't... Hyrule is in my hands now!'

I continued to try and strike, deliver a single blow. But it was impossible...

Pathetic.

I froze.

Regardless of your emotions, you don't improve. How pitiful.

"Why?" My voice shook. "I have the Triforce, my father's blood, and his father's before him."

Because the Goddesses are liars. They have never helped you, they allow despair to fall in this land, despair not even their chosen ones can face.

The cloud of darkness materialized into Ganondorf and walked towards me.

"They were lies..." I whispered.

"Yes, all of the power, the courage, the wisdom, is pointless on its own." He said.

"But, you... You are the despair. I must bring you down!" I shouted.

"Even if you do, I will always come back. So will the royal heir and the hero." He said. "We are cursed, and I will break that curse."

I looked at him expectantly. "A curse... How?"

He paced. "If I gather the three pieces of the Triforce, I will be able to." He turned to me. "But I need your help."

I hesitated.

"For the sake of the Kingdom, your bloodline, for peace! Isn't that what you desire?" He bellowed.

I lowered my sword and looked at the ground. "Of course."

He gave me his hand. "We can end this legend together, Ilaria."

His words were convincing. I barely remembered that he has trying to kill me moments ago. I forgot how he toyed with me as we fought or twisted my emotions and feelings as we spoke. I reached to take his hand.

"I-I will hel-" I started saying.

I felt someone grab my hand. "Why don't you help me, better, my love?"

My hopelessness turned into happiness. "Alexander!" I yelled joyfully. I wiped away my tears and interlocked my fingers with his. What was I thinking? I shook my head. "Of course. We will fight, together."
