Chapter 30 Dark Type Training
Ash and Alice are bringing the others to see how Terry trains their Pokemon, as they get into the woods, they get to a tree as they press a secret button, the others are surprised to see an entrance.
Once they get into the entrance, Gladion asks, "Why is this being like a spy movie? I mean...why are you doing this in secret?"
Terry says, "We are the International Police, and we can't reveal ourselves to the public about our true identity. That's why we will stay here for our next plan."
Ash says, "We are the ones that create this place, but anyway... if we are here, you mustn't reveal the secret of this base to others. That's the rule of the International Police."
The others nod as they go into the room where they see an Alolan Raticate gnawing a wood. Ash greets the Pokemon as they can see there is a Ketchum Gem on this Pokemon.
"This Raticate belongs to me." Ash says, "It is a good helper when we are doing something like cutting the woods with the teeth of its."
"The Wood is made for the targets so that we can use them to train ourselves." Alice says.
"I never knew about that..." Max says, "Targets will be great if you want to train with the aim."
As they continue further inside, they see a bird Pokemon resting in the room. Ash walks towards the Pokemon and he says, "Hello, Moltres, how are you doing?"
Moltres wakes up and it does a squawking sound, and Ash smiles, "If you are confused, this Pokemon is Moltres."
"But why is it black with purple flames?" Iris asks, "I mean...when did it become a Dark Type?"
"It is obvious considering Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres have their own Galarian Forms. This Pokémon's sinister, flame-like aura will consume the spirit of any creature it hits. Victims become burned-out shadows of themselves."
"Burned-out shadows? Sounds dangerous..." Bonnie says as Ash says, "Relax, my Moltres won't be doing that to you. But Moltres will help me with the heat of this room, as we will need a better environment to train ourselves."
"Okay..." Kiawe says, feeling a sweatdrop from the Pokemon. "So it is a Dark and Flying Type instead?"
"You're right, with Zapdos being Fighting and Flying, it is obvious that the Articuno has to be Psychic and Flying in Galar." Eve says, and Serena says, "We have never seen an Articuno like that before."
"You'll see it when we go further." Ash says.
Once they are at the weapons room, they can see a Mightyena growling at them. Ash smiles and says, "Don't worry, Mightyena, they are my friends, you shouldn't do anything to them."
The wolf Pokemon just nods, and Terry says, "Mightyena is the guard dog of this place while Ash has Houndoom in school, well, Eve is taking care of Houndoom while I was taking care of this Mightyena. So it is not a surprise."
"I know what you mean." Eve says. "There are a lot of gadgets that the International Police needs to use, and for example: Galactica Jet."
Eve takes out a backpack jet suit, "This is the suit that can give you a fly, but we have to be careful using it and we have to make sure there is enough fuel inside."
"And we have this Record Bubble, we can use the microphone to create bubbles, and when it pops, you can hear the message inside." Ash says.
"There are also a lot of them, but we shouldn't talk about it for now." Alice says as they go to the next place.
As they are at the window, they see a Honchkrow is resting. Ash says, "This Honchkrow is my Pokemon as well, he will fly around the place to make sure that nobody will find this hideout."
"But what if this hideout is found? What are you going to do?" Clemont asks, and Terry says, "Honchkrow will use Confuse Ray on the person who spots that, and then the trainer will think that all of it was just imagination."
"Are you sure that will work? I mean...it is just Confuse Ray..." Mallow says. "I know why you are worried about it, but trust me, it is the only way without damaging them."
"Honchkrow is also good at battles as well, probably has the same arrogance as the one with Paul." Ash says as the Sinnoh ones try not to laugh at the statement.
"Anyway, let's not disturb Honchkrow as he has to stay up all night." Alice says. "He probably just woke up from his daytime sleeping."
As they head to the next room, they are at the battlefield and they can see two kinds of Pokemon fighting. One is a Liepard, and the other one is a Fox Pokemon that the others haven't seen before.
"I am pretty sure it is obvious, this is the battlefield of the International Police training. And looks like both Liepard and Thievul are fighting against each other again..."
"That Pokemon is called Thievul? Is it another Pokemon from Galar?" May asks.
"Liepard is a stealthy Pokémon that sneaks up behind prey without making any sound at all, while Thievul, has a lithe body and sharp claws, it goes around stealing food and eggs." Ash says.
"They are good at stealing, that is what you are going to talk about, right?" Lana asks, and Terry says, "When Ash goes on a mission, he would have them steal their secret plans and these two Pokemon are capable of doing it."
"Sometimes they are also capable of stealing robbed stuff from the robbers so that we can put it back to where it belongs." Alice adds.
"That really sounds cool. So is it a Pure Dark Type Pokemon just like Liepard?" Cilan asks, and Ash says, "That's right. And these two really like to fight with each other. According to the Galar Pokedex, they fight for their territories and they are also fighting for being the strongest thief."
"Are you serious?" Brock asks, and Ash sighs, "Believe me, I was also asking the same question to the two Pokemon."
They see that Thievul is using Parting Shot, and Serena asks, "Isn't that Pangoro's signature move? Parting Shot? It causes the user to lose Special Attack and normal Attack..."
"Oh, according to what I have researched, Pancham, Pangoro, Silvally and Thievul can learn the move." Eve says, and Gladion says, "Silvally can learn this move? Maybe I should try it on him."
"I am sure you will, if your Silvally is level 85, then it can learn it." Eve says, and Gladion just checks his Pokedex, and he says, "I still have more levels to go..."
Ash says, "Now let's go to the training field." As they get to the place, they find a Scrafty is training Head Smash on the target that was created by Raticate. Ash says, "Scrafty, how are you doing?"
The Pokemon turn around and he uses Leer on Iris and Cilan, Iris asks, "Is this the same Scraggy from Unova?"
"Of course, after that happened, it has been training very hard and eventually it evolves." Ash says.
Iris sends out her Haxorus as Scrafty recognizes as the Axew, so they go to play together as Ash says, "Even though it trains really hard, it just likes to play as well, and he really misses Axew as well."
"I can tell." Cilan says. Alice notices the target board and says, "Scrafty is learning Head Smash recently, it is a move with the recoil damage, but he is trying to make as less damage as he can."
"That sounds really great." Bonnie says.
As they continue walking on the road, they look at the window and they also see Honchkrow conversing to a Mandibuzz before leaving. Ash says, "Oh, Mandibuzz is also a Pokemon that helps to search the area along with Honchkrow."
"But since it is unable to learn Confuse Ray, so that it uses Whirlwind to knock out the people to make them fly as far from the place as possible."
"That sounds hurtful." Max says with a wince. "And because this place is very hard to find, I guess it is fine?"
"Yeah." Terry says.
"And the final Pokemon is this one." Terry says as he gives Ash a Pokeball, and Ash sends it out, which reveals an Obstagoon.
"Hey, isn't that the Pokemon that Piers used, the one that he called Obstagoon?" Sophocles asks.
"Obstagoon is actually the evolution of Linoone in Galar." Alice says, and this causes them to shock. "Linoone can evolve again? And it becomes a Dark Type?"
"Of course." Ash says. "In Galar, Zigzagoon and Linoone are Dark Type. After evolving, it is a great blocker."
"Blocker?" The others are confused at the term, and Alice says, "He means that the Pokemon learns a move Obstruct. This move enables the user to protect itself from all attacks. Its chance of failing rises if it is used in succession. Direct contact harshly lowers the attacker's Defense stat."
"Okay..." Serena says. "So that is all the Pokemon, right?"
"Yeah, now let's get out of here." Ash says as they leave the hideout as they are back in the forest.
As they are going back to school, they see a Pokemon running in front of them and it is black with green arms, and it has a scarf on it. "What is this Pokemon?"
"This is the Mythical Pokemon, Zarude. It is a Dark and Grass Type Pokemon that I took care of for Ash." Eve says.
"You really take care a lot of the Dark Type Pokemon, Eve." Serena says.
"I know. But with the pink scarf, it is known as Dada form. This Zarude's special strength stems from its love and care for an orphaned human child that the Pokémon has raised since the child's infancy."
Ash says, "The orphaned human child that was mentioned is a boy named Koko. Let's say that he was my friend whose parents died from an incident and a Zarude found him and raise it on its own."
"Wow..." The others are in awe at the story, and Delia comes and says, "How is the Hideout?"
"Well, all of my Pokemon is doing great inside. So mom, I thought that you were going to call Dad."
"I did, and he would come to Quest Town's Gym to find you." Delia says with a smile. "I also asked Valerie and Wulfric to come as well."
"Even my mom and Dad? Why?" Alice asks.
"You'll learn why once we go there." Delia says. "It will be better if we get there before sunset."
"What is Quest Town, is it the next town?" Bonnie asks, and Eve says, "Quest Town is the next town, and it is also where Ghost Type Pokemon likes to gather."
This causes shivers to the trainers as some of them dislike Ghost Type Pokemon. Ash says, "The gym leader of the town is actually my sister Golly, and don't worry, she will be glad to greet all of you."
"But what about the Ghosts?" Serena asks with shivers.
"They won't harm you unless you provoke them." Ash says as they bid farewell to Eve and Terry as they are going to the Quest Town.
Here is a new chapter, and this ends the Dark Type Chapter. The next one will be four chapters of Ghost Type, with the usual Golly and Shadow, Allister, and an OC that I will create for the story, even though you already know when I write the story RPA High Dark Version. And what will they encounter when they get to Quest Town? I hope you like this chapter.
