A/N: Hello everyone, I am back with chapter thirty of this story. Here, our trio head to Terracotta Town, but first, Domino talks with Gertrude.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon
Gertrude sat up in the bed. Domino had been hiding in her bedroom closet and came out when Gertrude called her. Domino and Gertrude stared each other down.
"So, what do you want?" asked Gertrude annoyed.
"You know damn well what I want." answered Domino.
"Look, come back in the morning and come in through the front door." groaned Gertrude.
"Where are they?" asked Domino bluntly.
"My family is asleep." answered Gertrude matter-of-fact.
"That's not what I meant." stated Domino.
"Well then speak clearly." replied Gertrude.
"Jessie, James and Meowth." said Domino.
"I don't know." shrugged Gertrude.
"I know they were here." said Domino.
"How do you know that?" asked Gertrude curious.
"You know how deep our influence goes." answered Domino.
"They're clearly not here now." noted Gertrude.
"I know that." said Domino.
"Then why are you here?" asked Gertrude annoyed.
"Because I know you know where they are." answered Domino.
"Sorry, dear, my memory is going in my old age." said Gertrude smirking.
Instead of anger, Domino replied with a sinister smile.
"Maybe your granddaughter knows." mused Domino.
"Leave Jeanette out of this." warned Gertrude.
Domino began heading for the door.
"I just want to talk with her." said Domino coldly.
"Hold on." said Gertrude weakly.
"That's more like it." replied Domino.
Domino walked back to Gertrude.
"Now, let's talk." said Domino.
"Can I ask you something first?" asked Gertrude.
"No." answered Domino bluntly.
"Why are you so blindly loyal to Giovanni?" asked Gertrude.
"I said no." replied Domino annoyed.
"Have you ever questioned him?" asked Gertrude.
"Of course not." answered Domino huffing.
"Loyalty is good, but blind loyalty is dangerous." warned Gertrude.
"Spare me." groaned Domino.
"Do you know why you killed Gus?" asked Gertrude.
"I was ordered by the Boss." answered Domino.
"Do you know Gus murdered Madame Boss?" asked Gertrude.
Domino was shocked.
"Then I guess he deserved death." answered Domino.
"Giovanni was behind it." revealed Gertrude.
Domino felt a chill run down her spine.
"Gus called Giovanni on the phone after he did it." added Gertrude.
Domino balled her fists.
"You're lying." spat Domino.
"How I wish I was." said Gertrude.
"Stop it." said Domino.
"That is the man you're serving." said Gertrude.
"Stop it." replied Domino.
"You're a pawn. Giovanni is using you." continued Gertrude.
"Stop it." said Domino trembling.
"He doesn't give a damn about you." said Gertrude.
"Stop!" cried Domino.
Domino punched Gertrude right in the face.
"I warned you." said Domino angrily.
"You hit like a pussy." replied Gertrude.
Domino wrapped her hands around the throat of Gertrude and began to strangle her.
"I told you to shut up." said Domino.
"I've had an Arbok use Wrap on me that was tighter." said Gertrude.
"You just don't know when to suck the fuck up." said Domino seething.
Gertrude struggled as she was being strangled.
"The Boss respects me!" cried Domino.
Gertrude tightened her grip.
"He is not using me!" declared Domino.
Gertrude's face turned redder and redder.
"He loves me!" exclaimed Domino.
"Giovanni doesn't give a shit about you." said Gertrude.
Domino stopped strangling Gertrude and pulled out her pistol.
"No, this would be too easy." said Domino.
Domino turned the pistol around and pistol-whipped Gertrude.
"Is that all you have?" asked Gertrude.
Domino was shaking in anger.
"I'll show you." answered Domino.
Domino walked into the kitchen and looked through the drawers until she found a hammer.
"This will do." said Domino.
Domino returned to Gertrude.
"Any final words?" asked Domino.
Gertrude weakly looked at Domino.
"Giovanni will never love you." answered Gertrude.
Domino raised the hammer and proceeded to brutally bludgeon Gertrude to death.
"Goodbye you old hag." spat Domino.
The next morning, our trio were still on the bus. Jessie, James and Meowth awoke still waiting to get to Terracotta Town. They were also unaware that Gertrude had been murdered the night before. Finally, they reached Terracotta Town. They exited the bus stretched. Grabbing their belonging, they entered the town.
"So, what do we do?" asked Meowth.
"Get ready to leave." answered James.
"Fine by me." shrugged Meowth.
"What do you think?" asked James.
Jessie didn't answer.
"Um, Jessie." said James.
James noticed Jessie looking at the Contest Hall.
"Jessie..." began James.
Jessie snapped her head.
"You didn't compete here." noted Meowth.
"I know." replied Jessie flatly.
"You miss contests, don't you?" asked James.
"Sometimes." answered Jessie.
Jessie shook her head.
"But my contest days are behind me." added Jessie.
The three passed a diner.
"Hungry?" asked James.
"With what money?" asked Jessie.
James pulled out a small bunch of cash.
"It's not much, but we should afford a small meal." answered James.
"Where'd you get this?" asked Meowth.
"I'd figure my parents would notice if I...borrowed some money." answered James.
"Yes work." said Jessie impressed.
"Let's eat." said James.
The three went inside and ate. Meowth had pancakes, James had bacon and eggs and Jessie had several dishes. She was eating for two after all. They were finishing up when the door opened. A man entered and nobody really paid attention. That is, until James noticed exactly who the man was.
"Guys, don't freak out." said James softly.
"Why?" asked Meowth.
"Did you notice who that was?" asked James.
"Not really." answered Jessie annoyed.
"Look." whispered James.
Jessie and Meowth looked over and realized why James was worried.
"Is that that guy a Rocket?" asked Meowth worried.
"He's the jerk Tyson who tricked us into helping catch the Red Gyarados." answered Jessie.
The waitress came over to him.
"Need time." said the waitress.
"Sausage, scrambled eggs and black coffee." ordered Tyson.
"Right there." replied the waitress.
"What do we do?" asked Meowth.
"We have to get out of here without being noticed." answered Jessie.
After a few minutes, the waitress brought Tyson his order.
"Here you go." said the waitress.
Tyson took a sip of his coffee.
"This is cold. Heat it up." demanded Tyson.
"Okay sir." said the waitress annoyed.
Waitress returned a minute later.
"Better, but still low quality." said Tyson disgusted.
The waitress scowled.
"What do we do?" asked James worried.
"We need to quietly slip out with being noticed." answered Jessie.
"Easier said than done." noted Meowth.
The three looked over at Tyson who hadn't noticed them.
"We could just slip out." proposed James.
"He might notice us." warned Meowth.
"We need a distraction." said Jessie.
"Where are we going to find a distraction?" asked Meowth.
Jessie looked over at the waitress.
"I have any idea." said Jessie.
Jessie beckoned the waitress.
"Can you come over here." requested Jessie.
The waitress came over.
"Yes ma'am." replied the waitress.
It was obvious the waitress was suppressing her annoyance.
"That guy over there and us have a history." began Jessie.
"I'm so sorry." said the waitress sympathetically.
"We'd like without him noticing us." continued Jessie.
"And we need a distraction." added James.
"I think I can help you." said the waitress smirking.
"Thanks. We'll put a nice tip for you." said James.
"This will be a tip enough." said the waitress.
The waitress went back and returned with a cup of coffee.
"Okay sir, here's a fresh cup of coffee." said the waitress.
The waitress pretended to trip and spilled the coffee on Tyson.
"You bitch!" cried Tyson.
Tyson jumped to his feet and began using napkins to clean the coffee off.
"Sorry sir." said the waitress, suppressing a smile.
"Thank you." mouthed Jessie.
Tyson marched off to the bathroom to clean up while cussing out the waitress under his breath. Him being in the bathroom allowed Jessie, James and Meowth escape. With Tyson already here, there's no question how many Rockets were already in Terracotta Town. They flagged down a taxi and had it take them to the harbor.
"Of course, there's Rockets here." grumbled Jessie.
"How did that find us?" asked James horrified.
"There are Rockets everywhere." answered Meowth.
"I wonder if we'll ever be able to get away from them." sighed James.
"We'll get away in Hoenn." said Jessie.
"Or Sinnoh." added Meowth.
"I'm honestly starting to doubt that." groaned James.
None of the three talked.
"Um, don't need or stuff?" asked Meowth.
"We can get new belonging." answered Jessie.
"Um, our Pokemon are there too." noted James.
Jessie leaned up.
"Can you stop at the Pokemon Center first." requested Jessie.
"No problem." answered the cabbie.
A/N: That's where we'll end things. So, Domino has claimed another victim in Gertrude while our three don't even know about it...yet. They're more occupied with more and more Rockets coming after them. next time, we pick up where we left off and you won't want to miss the end. Please review.
