Kagome backed away, squinting through the strands of billowing hair to stare at Sesshomaru. With each scoot, he stepped closer, unafflicted by her rising fear. He's about to kill me… isn't he? I need to think of a way out of this mess! But how?
"I'll not ask again. How do you know that name?"
She swallowed and held a hand up. "Hold on a second! You're seriously freaking me out right now! Geez, you're jumping the gun!"
He arched a brow. "Jumping the what?"
"F-figure of speech…" She said, releasing a breath. "You might not believe me, but I know all about Inuyasha. I also know about you, Sesshomaru."
He lowered his clawed hand and crossed his arms. "Enlighten me, and perhaps I might show some leniency."
God, she only hoped. Kagome sweat dropped. "Okay… well…" How could she begin this explanation? From the very beginning? Whose point of view? "From… from… Myoga!"
Now that caught his attention. "You even know that name?"
She nodded quickly. That was her answer! Right there! "Yes! In fact, I know a lot of information about your family…" She quickly added. "He… was close to your father and fell in love with a human princess by the name Izayoi!"
"Was? From my understanding, they are still close to this day, human. And that is not information that is privy to one such as you," He said, and paused for a moment as though deciding his next approach. "I'm afraid I'll have to report this matter once I return…"
Kagome bit her lip. Still close to this day? Then that meant… their father was still alive?! But how was that possible? "I… I just have one question… No, make that two." Actually, make that a million…
"Speak."
"What… is today's date?"
