Vegeta and I sparred, high in the air above the castle grounds. I was glad to no longer have to train with Bardock or King Vegeta. My husband and I pushed each other harder in training than anyone else. Even weeks after the wedding, it's still strange to call Vegeta my husband. He increased his speed, throwing punches and kicks quicker than I'd seen from him before. I pushed myself harder, and blocked every strike. He gave up after a few moments of trying to connect with me and I went on the offensive. He blocked the first few, but eventually I was able to land a punch.
I struck him in the ribs and he groaned in response. I chuckled, dropping down to the ground beneath us for a break.

"I'm leaving on a mission in a few days." Vegeta said, panting, landing next to me. I walked over to the shade of the giant tree and collapsed, sprawled out in the grass. "There's a planet that needs to be cleaned up."

"Oh?" I breathed, catching my breath. He laid next to me, stretching out in the shade. "No wonder you wanted to train so hard today."

"I always want to train hard, Newo."

"Why do you always call me that?" I asked. "You have since we were kids."

"It's just a...a term of endearment." He said, frustrated.

"How long will you be gone?" I asked. I hated it when he left. Nobody around here was kind to me, except Gine. I'd undoubtedly spend a good portion of the time my husband was gone with her.

"I'm not sure. You know how these things are, Kira." He said, sitting up. "You're full of questions, today."
"You know I hate it when you leave." I responded, staring at the sky. "What does it mean?" Vegeta chuckled.

"What does what mean?" I sat up and looked at him.

"Newo." I said.
"It's...a lot to explain." He said. I crossed my legs and clasped my hands together in my lap, eager to hear about it. Vegeta sighed. "There's a legend of an old Saiyan King. He was madly in love with two women, and married them both. Together the three of them led the Saiyans through our most glorious era. He referred to them as his Heart and his Sage... and called himself their Warrior. Their names were Newo and Evagria… It's been said that one day he would be reincarnated and lead the Saiyans to greatness once again."
"Do you believe that?" I asked. He shook his head.

"It's just a legend." He said. I chuckled.

"So which is it, then? Am I the heart or the sage?"
"You're impossible." He said.

"C'mon, say it!"

"You're my heart, Kira." He said, his cheeks turning red. I leaned over and kissed him.

"You're blushing." I teased.
"No I'm not! The Prince of all Saiyans doesn't blush!" He snarled. I laughed, standing up.

"C'mon, let's get back to training...you have a planet to conquer."

*******If you've made it this far, I just wanted to say thank you for sticking around for 30 chapters! I'm sorry they haven't been as long but they will get longer again soon! If you're enjoying it I'd love to know!********
