Patricia's POV

We had to think quick!

Barbie's life was in danger.

"There!" Cassandra pointed to the spot where a small car could be seen in the depth of the river.

I was about to dive when I heard a voice from behind.

"What are you doing here?" he asked as he crossed his arms.

"Sir, please... our friend is in danger," Renee said.

I didn't waste a second and dove into the water.

I quickly held my breath as I swam as deep as I could.

Down there I saw her.

She was struggling to open the door of the car.

There was a huge lock on the outside of the car.

Grabbing my baton I hit the lock with full force causing it to break.

Right then Barbie passed out.

I didn't have much time left.

But then I saw a handcuff on her wrist that was attached to the door.

Using my baton I broke the handcuff.

Then I grabbed her waist and carried her to the surface.

Just as I reached the land I began to cough up water.

I quickly placed Barbie on the ground.

Ken's POV

Barbie was rescued

But she wasn't breathing!

I quickly rushed to her side.

"Barbie, come on! Open your eyes," I said desperately.

She was still unconscious.

Then I began to give her CPR and gave her heart message.

"Stay with me, Barbara!" I whispered as I felt my tears rolling down my face.

There was no change in her state.

But I didn't stop

I didn't want to give up on her.

I broke down crying.

Why did this have to happen to me??!

I leaned in and kissed her forehead.

"I love you. Please don't leave me," I whispered very quietly.

Right then Barbie began to cough up water.

She was alive!

She was breathing rapidly trying to catch her breath.

Without thinking twice I pulled her in a hug and broke down crying.

Barbie's POV

What in the world?!

Was I dead?

I knew one thing. I was so cold.

I tried to catch my breath.

I was all wet. My friends were there trying to help me.

Then suddenly it all came back to me.

Right then Ken pulled me in a hug and broke down crying.

"Don't ever do that to me!" he shouted.

I smiled as I hugged him back.

"Ken, where did you go? You just disappeared when we were searching for Barbie," Renee asked.

Ken pulled out his phone and showed us a picture.

It was a picture of Mr. Brown handing my backpack to Elena Delaforse.

"That man...he was working with this witch!" Ken snarled angrily.

"We'll think of a plan to get back your stuff. Don't worry," Patricia said to me reassuringly.

I nodded.

"Thank you, guys. But let's head back," I replied dryly.

I wasn't feeling good.

I lost the jewel and the riddles.

How could I find the singularity now?

I was about to get up but Ken grabbed my arm and then he gave me his sweater.

"It's freezing! You need this," I said.

"You need this more. You might catch a cold," Ken replied.

I got into the car and then Cassandra drove us back.

During the drive I didn't say a word

After we returned I was too tired to do anything.

I showered for about one hour and then changed my clothes since they were all wet.

I sighed as I collapsed on my bed.

Right then there was a knock on the door.

I sighed. "Come in."

Right then Renee came inside.

"Hey...you okay?" she asked.

I nodded in response but then she crossed her arms.

She wasn't buying it at all.

"Barbie, I know you long enough to know when something's up," she said as she sat near me.

I sighed in defeat.

"You're right. I'm not really okay. I failed my grandfather. I got fooled really easily and led my guard down," I began to ramble.

Renee put her hand on my shoulder for comfort.

"Barbie Roberts I know never gives up no matter how hard it is. Fun fact, she told her sister that no one's perfect. Yet here she is... blaming herself for not being completely perfect," Renee said positively.

I chuckled at the last part.

But then I looked down a bit sadly.

"Tell me... what's bothering you?" Renee asked pleadingly.

"It's just that I...my whole life is messed up! I love my job as a spy. I love what I am doing. And I love how I try my best to do the right thing...but all it's gotten me so far is being chased around from city to city, Dunbar trying to capture and take my life, and how so many others are after me because of my inheritance," I yelled out.

I began to breathe heavily.

Renee pulled me in a hug.

"It's gonna be okay," Renee whispered.

"N-no... it's just too heavy to carry," I replied.

"If this is too heavy for you to carry, we'll do it together. We're all a team, remember? You don't have to go through everything alone. We'll get through this... together," she replied warmly.

I took a deep breath as I tried to calm down.

It was good that I have friends who always support me.

"Thanks, Renee. I needed that," I replied.

Right then a plan came to my mind.

"Renee, remember when Cassandra said that Mr. Brown is a literally a criminal?" I asked.

"Yeah," she replied. But then she noticed my smirk, "I know that look! What are you planning?"

I chuckled.

"If he wants to play it dirty...then fine... but how bad would it be if cops come along and arrest him if the evidence against him gets in public?" I chuckled mischievously.

Renee smirked. "I'm purrfectly sure it would be a meowzing and a sweet revenge!"

Right then my phone rang.

It was my mom.

I picked it up.

"Hey mom, is something wrong? It's kinda late," I said worriedly.

"Barbara, I was reading Chelsea her bedtime story then I got out to get her some water when I heard her scream... I got back as quickly as possible but she was gone!" my began to explain.

I gasped in shock!

I was beginning to panic.

"M-mom, what are you saying? Where's Chelsea?" I asked.

"Her room is also messed up!" she exclaimed.

I gasped in horror.

Today just kept getting worse.

"Mom, do you think it's...him?" I asked worriedly.

"N-no! There's a note left on her bed...whoever it is they want that singularity," she replied, "honey, I have to go."

After my mom hung up I tried to process what happened.

"Barbie, what happened?" Renee asked worriedly.

I was still shocked.

I couldn't even breathe!

"My s-sister...they took Chelsea," I replied.

A/N: Hehehehe

Oh my evilness!
