14 weeks

"Alright Alec, let's see how baby number three is doing, shall we?" Dr. Hackney asked kindly as he walked into the room. Magnus was a nervous wreck. He prayed everything was going well because the past few weeks have been stressful. Him and Alec found out an hour ago that Alec's injuries were healing beautifully. No more sprained knee or collarbone. Though he did have to get a few shots in his back and neck for inflammation, to be able to move unchallenged. His ribs were great, the only thing left to heal was his left wrist. Of course, it's broken. Thank God Alec was ambidextrous because he mainly used his left hand.

"Um, I have a question Dr. Hackney." Alec says in a perplexed tone. Dr. Hackney nodded as he did his check ups on Alec. "Am I still going to have a cycle throughout my pregnancy? Because I was on my cycle when I found out. I didn't have one when I was pregnant the first time."

"Every pregnancy is different. But what you probably experienced was implantation bleeding and is completely normal. It happens at a similar time in your cycle to menstruation, so it's often confused with having an early period. You told me that you had cramps correct?"

Alec nodded, remembering snapping at his fiancé whilst in the bathroom. Having cramps while on the toilet is horrendous.

"Early in pregnancy, you may experience mild or light cramping. These cramps will probably feel like the light cramps you get during your period, but they'll be in your lower stomach or lower back. You haven't felt any more have you? Because if so, we need to check you immediately. That is a sign of a miscarriage."

Alec shook his head. "No, I haven't had any cramps or bleeding. I was just curious because I didn't understand how I could be pregnant and have a cycle at the same time. Not to mention, I was taking my birth control, well except for one day." Doctor Hackney, continued to explain what would happen if he missed a day taking his birth control.

"You are showing pretty early being 14 weeks. Let's check the heartbeat of your big head baby." Hackney joked making the couple laugh. It eased the tension in the room. Well mainly Magnus' tension.

"Yeah, Magnus does have a big head."

"Hey!" You have a gigantic cranium yourself!" Alec was in full blown tears after that. Doctor Hackney moved the fetal doppler along Alec's stomach, letting the parents hear their baby's healthy heartbeat. "Uh oh, hold on."

"What?! What's wrong?!" Magnus practically screeched, holding Alec's hand tighter. Alec was calm, he already knew what the doctor was going to say. He could hear two sets of heart beats. He already had twins. So why not think Magnus would knock him up AGAIN with twins! The bastard!

It was going to take him a long time to get his body back into shape. Yay…. Fun.

"I'm hearing two heartbeats, meaning you two are having twins. I am going to set you up for an ultrasound to make sure everything is going smoothly. Go ahead and get dressed and I will see you after you are done with the ultrasound." Dr. Hackney left the room, leaving the couple to their own devices.

Magnus helped Alec sit up and get dressed. "I can't believe we are having twins! Again! I mean honestly, I don't think I can take anymore mini-us's than usual." Alec complained, smiling like an idiot. Magnus on the other hand was full of waterworks. Diving into his fiancé's arms. "I'm so happy! Our parents are going to flip! They are going to try to feed you every second. Especially Nadia. She did say she wanted a juicy baby this go around." Alec shuddered at the thought.

"Are you okay with this? You aren't going to freak out are you? I mean we already have two toddlers and three teenagers to take care of. How do you feel about having two more babies?" Alec quietly asked, feeling panicky.

What if Magnus didn't want this life with him anymore. Seeing that frightened expression on his baby's face, Magnus quickly kissed the life out of him leaving him breathless. "I told you that I am not going anywhere, I love our family and we will just take it day by day, love. You are not alone anymore." Magnus reassured him.

"I'm not saying we won't have ups and downs, because we will. I know we won't agree on everything, we can get through any argument as long as we take the time to actually communicate properly. Even if we have to walk away from each other to calm down. You are my husband, we got this darling." Alec leans in to kiss his honeybun feeling much better than before.

"Plus our parents are going to help us, not to mention your siblings and best friends. They are excited about having a new baby in the house, how do you think they will react when we tell them we're having twins again?"

Alec chuckled thinking about his baby crazy family. Since having them back in their lives, they tend to steal Riley and Sariah all the time. It was beautiful. The girls always kissed his stomach babbling about babies whilst they played with their dolls and stuffed animals. Before Alec could respond, the nurse came to get them. Magnus helps Alec into the chair, waiting for him to get comfortable before moving to his own chair beside Alec's head. Holding hands as the nurse took pictures of their babies, and sure enough…. Alec was pregnant with twins… this time it was boys…

"Welp, there goes a quiet house." Alec says exasperated. Magnus and the nurse burst out laughing at his nonchalant attitude. They made jokes almost making the nurse forget what she was doing. She enjoyed their banter and company. She then printed off numerous pictures for them. Magnus took pictures of the ultrasound sending them to their families and posting it on his social media accounts. After speaking with their doctor once more, they left heading home feeling calm and happy. Plus they needed to get started on their homework. Magnus had to work, so Alec was going to be left alone for a few hours until Max and the girls were done with school.

Alec had his headphones, school books on his lap and his notebook on the arm chair of the couch. His laptop in front of him on a portable breakfast table. Horus and Anubis were huddled by his side, faces on his stomach sleeping peacefully as their daddy did his work. He was so into doing his work that he jumped when Magnus kissed him. "I'm sorry for scaring you baby, but you weren't hearing me" he says after pulling Alec's headphones out.

"It's okay. Sorry I was trying to finish my assignments. I'm almost done though, are you ready for work?" Nodding, Magnus kissed him once more. "Yes, do you need anything before I leave?"

"No, I think I'm good. I could use another kiss though." Alec pouted cutely. Not being able to deny his love anything, Magnus gave him a couple of kisses before he left.

It was 12:30 when Alec finally got done with his homework. He made his way to the kitchen to feed the pups their snacks and grab himself a fruit salad. Early this morning, Alec put oxtails [with carrots and potatoes) in one of his crackpots and curry goat in another. Later he would make the rice and Jamaican patties. Alec was craving island food non stop, so instead of buying it, he made it himself. Not hard at all.

Alec then made sandwiches for the girls and Max. School was going to be out soon, and Alec knew Max hated school lunch. So he made sure his brother/son had food ready. "It smells yummy in here" Pops voiced walking into the kitchen with Nadia, Jason and Thalia. Alec chuckled seeing them reach for the crackpots to sample the food. "Um, excuse me. Wash your hands before sampling anything." Alec reprimanded.

They chuckled, but did as he said. Alec sat on one of the stools in the kitchen, eating his fruit salad. "Save me some Jamaican patties Allie, I know how you are when it comes to them." Nadia said scowling at her son. "Of course mom, I wouldn't dream of eating them all." Rolling his eyes, he made sure to make three boxes of patties. They all ate them, including the girls. Alec was reading one of his newest books, ignoring them entirely as they sampled the food. He was so entuned with his book that he didn't hear them calling his name. "ALEC!" Pops shouted angrily.

"What?!" Alec shouted back looking up from his book with a glare. He hated when he was interrupted, it breaks him out of his world he created in his mind. He was currently on book 4 of the Throne of Glass series and it was fucking amazing! "Why, oh why are you interrupting me reading?! You know how I feel about that! Ugh!" Alec was severely pissed off. He just wanted to finish this series, so him, Clary and Simon could have their weekly book talk and argue about it.

Pops smacked him on the head with his empty water bottle. "Watch the sass!" Alec rolled his eyes and sarcastically placed his book mark in the book and slammed it shut. "Is there a reason you so rudely interrupted me reading dear family? Is there anything I can help you with?" He asked sweetly, though his words were dripping with venom. He was again hit on the head with his grandfather's water bottle.

"Yes, you sassy asshole. We were asking how you were doing and are you happy about being pregnant with twins again." That cleared Alec's anger and he went on a rambling spree with them about the babies and showing them pictures of their hands and feet. They were in the living room when Max walked in with Clary and the girls. As they gushed about the babies, Alec went into father mode and began helping the girls out of their clothes and taking their hair out to breathe. It was time to finish making dinner, so everyone joined him in the kitchen and started arguing about baby names.
