Descendants 3 Chapter 30

Episode 21

Rumple left the celebration early that evening. Everyone hugged and reunited with their loved ones. Cars dove into town, now that everyone was awake. Some people have moved out when the curse hit with their fake names and were just coming back into town now that they were awake. Lena held Alice's hand while the two caught up on life since the curse.

The apartment owner allowed everyone to stay in the vacant apartments who needed it. Hope and Will got the keys to a smaller apartment. Lena and Alice went back to her shack that night. Lyra, Roland, and Melody went back to their apartment, as usual. Henry went with Jacinda/Cinderella and Lucy to their apartment. Regina visited Henry for a while before returning to her apartment that night.

Roger watched everyone all happy. He witnessed the witches doing magic. It was all real. Will wasn't crazy. Lyra was telling the truth. The town was cursed and they are all fairytale characters. They exist. They're real. All of them. And he's a part of it.

Roger stayed with Lyra that night, explaining how he needed up on the curse and her sharing her extraordinary adventures with Will and the descendants. He slept on the couch that night.

The witches practiced magic and talked in the town square for a while that night. They moved their conversation to the bakery, that was once owned by a witch. The twitches used their magic to turn the light on in the building. Leia joined them.

Namine learned that her magic was gone. That was price of bringing her back to life.

Marnie called her mom, trying to explain the situation without sounding crazy.

"I found other witches, mom." Marnie told her mom over the phone. Her mom warned her about evil witches but Marni assured her that these girls are good. "They're a little older than me. There are these twins who are 21. Namine who is so amazing. She's 16. And there's these other girls too. Uh, Tilly-"

"Alice," Alex corrected her. The witches all listened as Marnie called her mom.

"Right, Alice. And Candace and Elizabeth are here." Marni said.

"Who?" Her mom asked.

Namine leaned over to her. "That was part of the fake memories. You only met them once. Your mom never met them."

Marnie took a moment before replying to her mom. "Nevermind. I'm sorry for running away. I'll be back tomorrow."

"Marnie, you have been gone for four days! I haven't heard from you. I called the police!" Her mom said.

"I'm sorry mom." Marnie said again. "I can't explain what happened. It's like I was in a trance. There was this one bad witch. She lured me to her home and I didn't even think to call you."

"Marnie, where are you?" Her mom asked.

"You don't wanna drive all night mom." Marnie said. "I'll tell you in the morning." She hung up the phone.

Leia sat with them and placed her hands on the table. "So, where are you girls planning on staying tonight?"

Alex leaned back in her booth seat.

"Can't go back to Samdi's. I mean, Facillier," Camryn said.

"Or Gothel's." Namine said. "I feel like her spirit would be watching us."

"The apartments down the street are giving everyone a free night until we figure out where to go next." Leia said. "I say we all share one."

"Good idea," Camryn smirked. "I definitely don't want to be alone."

"Who are you?" Marnie asked Leia, leaning forward.

"I'm Leia," She reached her hand out. "Lyra's sister. Daughter of the Savior." She spoke in a playful way to be more dramatic.

The girls smiled for a moment before Namine turned the conversation. She sat up straight and asked, "We do we go next?"

The witches all faced her.

"Do we go back to our worlds? Coventry. Twilight Town. Oregon." Leia glanced at Marnie.

"My mom's dead," Alex said aloud. "There's nothing left for us in our world."

"Besides we grew up here, in the land without magic." Camryn said.

"Wherever we go," Alex said, "I don't want us to separate." She looked across the table of the few witches of the coven who were not corrupted by Gothel.

Namine nodded at them. "I've never met other witches."

"Me either," Marnie said.

Alex reached her hand out in the middle of the table. Namine quickly placed her hand over it. Camryn was next. Marnie put her hand over hers after a moment. Leia joined them too.

The witched looked over at Leia.

Leia raised her shoulders up and down. "If you'll have me?"

They nodded quickly in agreement.

Roger went back Weaver/Rumple's place later that night, after wandering this now magical town. He found Rumple in the middle of the room and a dead body on the floor. Charlie gasped and almost fell into the wall. Rumple explained that is wasn't him who killed Facilliar, the body on the ground. It was the wish world version of him.

Wish world Rumple appeared to Lena in Alice's shack that evening. He poked her foot to wake her.

Lena startled awake. "Wah!"

Wish world Rumple giggled and flailed his hands. "Rise and shine mini dark one."

Alice quickly woke up too. "Rumple?"

"It's something else." Lena said.

"I'm the Rumplestiltskin. The best one." He said with a bow. "Now I need that dagger so that I can get what I want." He sat at the edge of the bed.

Lena scooted herself away from him, staring at him bizarrely.

"What dagger?" Alice asked.

Lena gave Alice look.

"The dark one dagger of course," Wish world Rumple said.

Alice leaned forward. "Well it's not here."

"How are you even here?" Lena asked, trying to hide how terrified to was on the inside. He was the most unpredictable version of Rumple. A version of Rumple that lost Belle a long time ago. A version that didn't have a daughter or Gideon.

"Well, that wish Emma made was very powerful. It didn't just contain us in that world. Look at Alice. She came from a wish version of Hook. Now she's here in this place." He pointed his index fingers around the small shack. He seemed grossed out by the place. "And now, I'm here too. So, dagger?"

"Still not here." Lena said.

Wish Rumple sighed and placed his hands in his lap. He leaned over to the side, towards Lena. "Can't you summon it?"

Lena was surprised that he even knew about that. She shook her head and the side of her lip raised. "Not alone."

Wish Rumple read her face for a few seconds. He could tell she was telling the truth and sighed. "Well, I'll have to find it another way." A red smoke appeared, covering his body. He was gone in a flash.

Wish Rumple found the Dark One dagger by morning. The real Rumple found it missing from its case down at the precinct. Wish Rumple used this power to mess with Henry, luring him into his trap. Wish Rumple made Cinderella and Lucy disappear, forcing Henry on a quest to find them in the wish world.

Regina quickly volunteered to help Henry on this mission. Rumple agreed too, since this wish version of him caused this. Nook offered his help too.

Lyra and Lena both wanted to go. Lena considered staying for Alice. She just got her back and Nook's heart was still poisoned. After everything, there was still not sure for him.

"Are you sure you're not avoiding telling Will about his fate?" Lena asked her. They were at Lyra's apartment.

"Ugh, Lena. We have bigger issues right now." Lyra said.

"Yesterday, humanity was at risk. Today it's Cinderella and Lucy. There's always going to be something." Lena said.

She thought of a different tactic. Lyra handed her last vile of the waters of Dunbroch to Lena. "Stay here, and use to see your mom again. Or your brother."

"Which one?" Lena asked. She stared at the vile, considering the offer. "You should use it to see Melody or Neal Jr."

"I already used one to see Neal Jr. This is was second and last one. You should have it." Lyra said.

Lena jerked her head around, debating it. "No. Saraphina gave those to you."

"You have more family that you've lost." Lyra said, holding out the vile towards her.

Lena placed her hands over Lyra's hold in the vile. "I know. And my dad doesn't have much time left either, remember? He's still looking for a way back to Belle. I need to spend this time with him."

Lyra put her hand down and squeezed the vile.

"Alice won't be alone. I know the witches want to catch up with her." Lena said. "And Leia is certainly taken with them."

"Yeah," Lyra smiled. "I probably should spend some time with her too."

Lena nodded a bit. "Plus, you have the Golden Compass. If anything goes wrong, you'll know just by asking it."

Lyra's eyes suddenly lit up. "Oh. If you see Melody in that alternate wish world-"

"I know." Lena said, nodding her head.

Regina, Rumple, Henry, Nook, and Lena went through a portal to the wish world that afternoon from Hyperion Heights. Once through the portal, they got separated. Lena was with her dad and Nook in a grassy field. Looking for help, Nook quickly thought of his old friend at sea. He led Rumple and Lena to her cave. This was his world after all. He knew it better than either of them.

Lena quickly realized who there were visiting: Ariel. There was something very different about this version of her. She didn't have pain behind her eyes. She was a bit sad, but not like the Ariel she knows. This wish Ariel never married the prince. She never had a daughter and never lost her to tragedy. There was no Melody in this wish world.

As the day turned to sunset in the heights, these no longer cursed residents waited for news while still enjoying life in the town. Many people went to the Rollin' Bayou truck for beignets and other food. Roger found the witches in the bakery. The witches practiced magic inside bakery, to contain their spells. They let Roger observe and help them find certain spells in the spell book they found. They witches could almost form their own coven between Alex, Camryn, Marnie, Namine (even though her powers were gone), Alice, Leia, and Lyra. Later that day, they helped patients at the hospital.

Marnie called her mom and said that she was going to stay for another day. She finally told her mom where she was. "I'm in Hyperion Heights. Gosh, calm down. It's not like I left the country. I'm one state over."

Her mom was not okay with that and started the 3 hour drive from St. Helens, Oregon to Hyperion Heights, Washington.

Alice's heart began to hurt her while she was with the witches. She held her chest and bowed over.

"Alice?" Lyra rushed over to her. "What's wrong?"

"Something's wrong." Alice said.

"Well obviously," Leia said. "Can you be more specific?"

Alice grabbed the fabric of her shirt at her chest, twisting it up in her hand. "Papa." She muttered out.

Leia looked over at Lyra, worried.

"They're in trouble." Alice said.

The witches nodded agreeing to help.

"But how? We have no way of getting to that world." Alex said.

"Will has the knife." Leia said.

"No!" Lyra quickly said. She caught herself. "I mean, it only has one use left and we have to save that for-"

"This is an emergency," Leia reminded her.

"We're trying to save your best friend and your brother." Namine said. "Unless Will's your best friend-"

"It doesn't matter." Alice said. "He's the only one who can do this."

"He would need to use the knife both times." Lyra said. "One time to get us to people who can help and another to get to the wish world."

"Why not just go striaght to the wish world?" Alex asked.

"Yeah, why can't we all go to help?" Marnie asked.

"You're just trying to run away." Leia teased her.

"It's the only way, Lyra." Alice said.

"Wait," Namine said, pointing her finger up. "I remember Gothel talking about someone in town having a bean..."

"Well that's great, but who?" Leia asked.

Namine thought about for a minute. Who was it? Come on. She said it before. She was talking to Morgana about going back to her world and… oh what did she say next? She said she'd get that bean from… ugh who? That bayou girl. "Tiana!"

"Sabine!" Alex blurted.

They rushed down to Queen Tiana who was still at her food truck as if the curse wasn't broken. The witches asked her about a bean and Tiana remembered it. It came through with the curse, hidden in her belongings. She gave them the bean, but there was still a problem.

"This will only work once." Alex told Lyra. She held the bean in her fingers. "Do you still need to make that other stop before going to the wish world?"

Lyra nodded at her. "We'll need they're help. And I really want to see them."

"Who are you going to see?" Marnie asked.

"My parents." Lyra said, shifting her head to the side.

Alice lowered her eyebrows at her. "They're in this world."

"But there's no time to take a plane to them." Lyra said.

Alice waved her hand. "No. There's something much simple we could do."

Lyra looked at her, confused.

"Teleport ourselves there." Alice said, as if it was obvious.

"Oh yeah!" Leia said.

"You know how to do that?" Tiana asked them.

"Magic school." Leia said. "We learned all kinds of cool spells."

The witches got all excited and joined hands underneath the troll bridge. Lyra took Alice's hand who to Alex's hand, who took Camryn's hand, who took Marnie's hand, who took Leia's hand, who took Lyra's. Namine watched the girls off to the side along with Roger and Roland.

"Maybe we should call Hope too?" Roland asked.

"She's busy with Will." Lyra said. She looked back at the circle of witches around her.

"Remember," Lyra spoke, "You're only sending me and Alice over there. Marnie, don't even think about running away even farther from home than you already are."

Marnie smiled a little to herself.

"How long until your mom shows up?" Alex asked her.

"2 hours and 15 minutes." Marnie said.

"Wait," Leia said.

The witches looked over to her. "Why can't I come along too?"

"Because you are currently a toddler running around town and might remember older you if you show up." Lyra said, annoyed.

"Aw come on. I never get to time travel." Leia said. "I want to see Storybrooke. They all went to the enchanted forest shortly after Henry's graduation. I was two when everyone went back. I don't even remember SB."

Lyra widened her eyes and blinked, facing away from her.

Marnie chuckled to herself. This is how she and her little sister argue.

The twitches eyed each other too during this sisterly dispute.

"He's my brother too. Shouldn't I be there too?" Leia continued.

"Fine!" Lyra said. "You can come too!" She rolled her eyes and huffed. "Can we do the spell now and save our brother and Lena and Regina and Rumple and Nook?" She grit her teeth.

Leia beamed, nodding her head.

The witches cast the spell, repeating the phrase three times. The witches closed their eyes as they chanted. A bright light came from their hands and there was a zapping sound. When they opened their eyes, Leia, Lyra, and Alice were gone.
