As they ran, Lincoln knew it was only a matter of time before Diane found him. After running for some time, Lincoln and Dot stopped to catch their breath.
"I can't believe that worked!" Panted Lincoln. He held the Aqua Gem up to look it over. "Abby's gonna be pleased to have this back." Lincoln smiled.
Suddenly, Lincoln noticed something. The Aqua Gem was emitting a green light. It looked like some letters were appearing. Lincoln looked above him and noticed a hole in the roof of the tunnel. A beam of sunlight was shining in. Then, he had an idea. Lincoln positioned himself better and held the gem fully under the light.
A big green light appeared on the ground in front of Lincoln, surprising Dot. And Lincoln had indeed seen letters, but it was actually a map with something written on a specific spot. "Here lies the diamond's worth." He read. Lincoln couldn't believe it. He had figured out the riddle! "Baking Light! Sunlight is baking light! It's hot!" He cried in ecstasy. Dot hopped around in joy. Lincoln couldn't wait to tell Abby.
Suddenly, he heard a voice. "We gotta find that kid!" It was Diane! Lincoln gasped. "We gotta hide!" He whispered. Dot suddenly grabbed Lincoln by his shirt sleeve and dragged him behind a rock. Lincoln understood. "After you lose them. Find my sisters and Abby. I'll meet you guys at the hub." He instructed quickly.
Dot nodded and darted towards Diane's voice. "That deer! It's with him! After it!" Lincoln saw them run the other way after his friend. "She'll be ok. She's fast." He thought.
After two minutes, Lincoln checked to make the coast was clear, and when he knew it was safe, he ran back to the hub.
