Chapter 30: Learning the Enemies
Ash, Lillie, and Alice are now in the Lumiose City, with the fake news from the Rotten News Company, they are forced to wear their disguises so that they won't be chased by the people who believed in their fake news. They head to Cafe Soleil and they see Diantha waiting for them while drinking coffee.
"Ash, Alice, Lillie, there you are." Diantha says after they take off their disguises and locked the whole cafe.
"Hello, Aunt Diantha, how were you doing?" Ash asks, and she says, "It is quite fine until the news from the Rotten News Company appears."
Ash says, "They were the ones who tried to ruin Serena, but they failed in the end because of Team Volt...though I was surprised that they escaped the jail and now they were trying to target us Team Rainbow Rocket."
"Indeed, this is intolerable." Diantha says with a frown, "So who are the people in this company? Did you have any idea?"
Ash says, "I know that there is the main culprit, Calem Xaiver. Brock, Misty, Iris, May, and Max are probably the other ones inside since Misty lost her job as a gym leader, while May and Max were disowned by their parents. Brock is probably jealous of me because of how he wasn't able to get a girlfriend, and Iris just thinks that I was a kid and I don't deserve all the glory."
"But somehow I feel that there are actually more." Alice says, and Ash says, "You're right about that, so besides our meeting of what we are going to do in the 25th Anniversary Festival, we will need to know who our enemies are."
"Will it be possible if we also join in the conversation?" Just then, Boltera, Dawn, Serena, Clemont, Sophocles, David, and Delia arrive, and the others are shocked. "How did you get here so fast?"
Delia says, "We have three inventors who are capable of making Teleporters, so that's how we can get here as fast as possible."
"It is good to see you again, Mom." Boltera and David hug their mother as she nods.
When they are upstairs into their house, they took out the newspaper with all the criminals that escaped. "With the previous six that you mentioned, there are a total of 18 criminals are on the lose.
"And what are the criminals?" Ash asks, "And why are they targeting us?"
"I should guess that the first one is a man named Viren, do you know about this man?" Delia asks, and Sophocles says, "I remember that man, he is a greedy, egotistical man who will do whatever it takes to get what he wants, regardless of how unethical or even illegal his plans are."
"We arrested him with the help of Team Aqua and Team Wither, considering that he is ruining the lake and the forest when we found him in the Alola Region." Ash says. "So he might join in this gang."
Clemont says, "And there is a criminal known as Hunter J, I assume that you know this woman?"
Dawn says, "Hunter J? She is still alive?"
"Of course she is still alive." Ash sighs, "She has been targeting me for years, with the help of Team Storm and Team Alpha, we managed to arrest her...if she escapes the prison, then I should say that we need to worry about her cement beams."
"Cement beams? What are those?" Clemont asks, and Dawn says, "They are kind of weapons that can trap Pokemon or humans inside the cement, making them petrified."
"That sounds terrible." David says.
"I know." Delia says, "The third one is a man known as Hito. He was arrested by Team Jet because he is using illegal storms to destroy the plane. Apparently, he was the one who set up the bombs on East's plane, making him handicapped."
"Why would he do that?" Boltera asks, "What has East done to him?"
"Apparently, he just doesn't like East as he was the one who passed the test of flying a plane in the same year as him. Unable to fly a plane, he can only resort to revenge on the person who passed." Ash says, "That is human nature."
"The fourth one is a person named Faba...wait, Faba?" Lillie gasps in surprise, and Ash says, "Oh boy...looks like good old Faba is here for revenge on you, huh?"
"I know...I am not afraid of him." Lillie says. Serena asks, "Who is that man, and why do you seem like you know about him."
"He was originally the chief of the Aether Foundation, and he is a traitor, he helped those people to kill my whole family." Lillie says. "After learning how I was alive, he tried to have me let him join in the Team Ultra. I refuse since I know that he wants to dethrone me as the leader of Team Ultra, so I arrested him."
"I can't believe that happened..." Sophocles says.
"There is also a person that I was never expecting to escape out of jail as well, Jupiter. A former Team Galactic Commander." Diantha says. "She was Mars' best friend, but after Mars becomes the Vice Commander of our new Team Galactic, let's say that their friendship broke and Jupiter tried to attack them with all the other grunts by her side. In the end, she failed and she was arrested."
"What is Mars going to feel after hearing that she escaped prison?" Dawn asks, worrying for the girl.
"I don't know." Ash says. "And we also have the owner of the Brilliant Bakery, Elline, you know this name pretty well."
"Don't call me Elline, my name is Boltera." Boltera says with annoyance, Ash says, "Sorry, cuz. But I just want to mention both you and Elena have ruined his company together."
"But this Toku person really doesn't want to give up on doing illegal business, huh? Maybe both he and Calem are two peas in a pod." Boltera says.
"Do you think that Calem might be the one that ruined your childhood?" David asks, and Boltera says, "That won't be impossible, just like at the age difference, are you telling me that I was being humiliated by a 10-year-old student?"
Diantha says, "We are not sure, but after the police searches for any evidence, we find that the proof leads to the Rotten News Company."
"Then maybe it might be Calem's father who did the dirty work." Ash says, "But let's not talk about this for now. We still have six more people to discuss."
"Exactly." Serena says as she continues to look into the news, "Oh boy...do you remember the two of them?"
Ash looks into the photo and he groans, "That might be explained why they would escape the jail... It's Jessie and James."
"Who are they?" David asks, "Sounds like they have been causing you trouble."
"They have been stalkers to steal my Pikachu ever since my day one of the journeys. And they manage to follow me wherever I go until I manage to put them in jail of the International Police with the help of Team Shadow, Team Magma, Team Plasma and Team Yell."
"But they escaped the prison, which means they are going to annoy us again." Serena says while the others groan.
"Now let's go to the next one. We have the so-called Princess Belle..." Ash says with a sigh. "Do you remember her?"
Sophocles says, "She was disrespecting with the trials and also the Pokemon, I don't like her."
"Everyone is feeling the same way." Alice says, "Team Revival and Team Skull are the ones who arrested her since she was disrespecting the Fossil Pokemon as well as the trials that were passed down by the Tapus."
"The fact that she is coming out makes things very hard for us." Ash sighs. "What is the next one?"
"This one is Dr. Ferrara." Delia says, "Alice knows him very well."
"I know, he tried to ruin us Team Frozen by using his Ice Type Pokemon." Alice sighs. "Not only that, he and his henchmen were in the process of stealing all the frozen food from across the world to bribe the Pokémon into joining them."
"That sure is really cruel." Clemont says, "I mean...wow, how much frozen food does that amounts to?"
"I don't know. The eleventh one is a girl known as Speta, she was the former Team Flare member that tried to ruin their name by bombing the places."
"Though I wonder how did she make those bombs?" David says, and it earns a lot of glares from the others, "Sorry."
"I know as an inventor, you want to know all the secrets behind some weapons and also machinery, but you have to know what time is right to do such thing." Ash sighs. "Oh well, we are going to the final one."
"Yeah...Hakano, a boy who was said to steal a Klefki. He was brought into the court with Team Justice is on the plaintiff's side. And knowing Minami, she won't lose a case and Hakano was arrested."
Dawn says, "Let me guess, he escaped from prison so that they want to ruin you guys...and that is related to all 18 teams as well."
"If you think about it, that is no doubt the reason why they hate Team Rainbow Rocket." Ash says. "But we are not going to let them do anything they want."
Delia says, "Which is why I brought David, Clemont and Sophocles here. The three of them are good at computer and they had managed to find the fake photos."
"Good, now we just need Bolver to do his broadcast in his own news company so that they won't be able to use the same tricks on us." Ash says as Bolver says, "Well, I have already done it before we come."
"That was quite fast." Alice says as they are now looking into the news, the people are now going back to their side as they are booing the Rotten News Company of how they are faking the news. Not only that, but there are also the media who is interviewing Glinda, the Cerulean City Gym Leader, and she says that Team Rainbow Rocket is innocent and the fact that Rotten news Company has never given her an interview, which means that the words are fake.
"Looks like things are getting better and better." Ash says with a smile, "Though I wonder what is the next step of the Rotten News..."
"I just hope they are not going to give us any trouble." Delia sighs.
In the said company, Calam is banging on the table and he says, "I can't believe they were able to overturn the people like this!"
He stands up and then walks to the window, seeing how the people are gathering around the company demanding answers, he says, "I thought that we could get away with this, but it seems like we have underestimated this Ash Ketchum."
He bangs on the window this time and he says, "First, you killed my father, and then you stole my girls and sent me to prison...I will show you what it feels like to be called Ash!"
Then he starts to laugh hysterically and his voice echoes throughout the whole company.
Here is a new chapter, and as you can see, I reveal the enemies in this story that are going to help the traitors getting their revenge. Now you can guess who Calem's father is, and which girls did Calem like and why would he say that Ash stole his girls? In the next chapter, we will be getting into the Team Galactic and continue the whole thing for the next five chapters.
