Chapter Thirty

Jin POV

We were in handcuffs again. We stood waiting at the door with our hands behind our back. Abigail stood with her arms crossed over her chest as two burly men backed what looked like a Uhaul up to the door. She hadn't told us much, but from the scene before me, she was selling us. We had no idea where we were going now, and Namjoon was anxiety ridden about it. It meant that even if Kelly had found Jimin and Tae, and if she somehow found this place, we wouldn't be here anymore. We were back to square one and I didn't know what to do.

I stood firmly, trying not to look as scared as I was. Namjoon was trembling next to me, fighting his own battle against his nerves. The large sliding door to the trailer was opened and one of the men motioned to Abigail. She opened our door and I was roughly grabbed by the arm by one of the men. He pulled me forward and shoved me towards the trailer.

"Get a move on, we've got a long haul." He said gruffly and I struggled to understand him. I'm sure Namjoon had managed to though. We sat together in the farthest corner, watching as the door was slammed shut and locks clicking into place. A faint light flickered on the ceiling, still allowing us to see somewhat. The engine sputtered into life and I looked over at Joon. His jaw was clenched as we felt the men get into the cab.

"What now?" I whispered and he met my gaze.

"I don't know." He said honestly. "Kelly won't find us now." He tried to pull against his handcuffs but to no avail.

"Maybe we can escape?" I suggested and he slowly nodded.

"We can't rely on her, I'm sorry I put so much faith in her." He sighed, leaning back as comfortably as he could. I wished they had removed these cuffs, it would have made this trip a little more bearable. The trailer lurched forward finally, making us both almost fall over. My heart was racing with dread and anxiety.

Jungkook POV

I knew we had rolled at least twice. The last thing I could remember clearly was a large truck coming at us, running the red light. It had connected with the front end of the car, on the passenger side. It spun us around and caused us to roll over, finally coming to a stop against the side of an overpass. I opened my eyes finally, my ears ringing and the horn of the car screaming relentlessly. Disorientated, I looked around, desperate to find everyone. I tried to lean forward in my seat, only my seatbelt was locked in place. I reached down, trying to find the button. It was buried in broken glass, and other debris from the car. I cursed under my breath and managed to crawl out from under the belt, pausing for a moment as a wave of dizziness overcame me. I reached up to my head, and blood came away in my hand. Shocked and still delusional, I looked around the interior of the car. I was the only one who had managed to stay conscious. Kelly was leaned against the mangled door, bleeding from her head as well. The airbag had exploded, and its fine particle dust hung in the air. Hobi was in the passenger side next to her, his airbag had also gone off. He was limp in his chair, blood coming from his ears. I was beginning to panic, and I looked over at Jimin and Taehyung next to me, both unconscious as well. I began to hear voices outside, people approaching the car.

"Hello? Can anyone hear me?" I heard someone ask, but my limited English made it confusing. I tried to open the door but it was crunched inwards. The window however was shattered and I scrambled through it. Dizzy and amped on adrenaline, I stood, shaking as I saw a small group of people around the car.

"You should sit down." One reached for me but I backed away, hurrying to Hobi's window. Kelly was coming around now and she looked around confused. Hobi wasn't waking up, and blood was dripping from my head onto the car door and my hands. It only fueled my frenzy more as I ran around the car to try and wake Taehyung.

"Jungkook?" I heard Kelly cough and I looked over at her wildly. "What happened?"

"We crashed." I said, my words slightly slurred as I took Tae's hand, squeezing it tightly. "Taehyung? Please, wake up!" I gently shook his shoulder and he groaned, leaning forward. His seatbelt was locked against his chest and he opened his eyes finally. His eyes grew wide with fear and he looked over at Jimin, who was still not waking up.

"Hobi?" I called out but he was also unresponsive.

"Hobi? From BTS?" I heard someone ask and I felt a new flame ignite in my chest. I ran over to the side of the car. I reached in and grabbed his wrist, still feeling a pulse, but it was weak.

"Kelly!" I hollered, just as she stepped around the side, her hand to her head as it dripped blood. I could hear the faint screaming sirens of an ambulance and police cars in the distance, rapidly approaching. Taehyung had managed to shove his door open with a few well placed kicks. He was pulling Jimin from the wreckage and lay him out on his back. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get the passenger side door open. I heard the shutter of a camera go off and I looked up to see a few people with phones and cameras out. I moved over to Taehyung as he continued to try and wake Jimin.

"Kim Taehyung?" I heard another voice and I looked up just as a flash of light blinded me. "Jungkook?"

"Can you not see we've been in a serious car accident?" Kelly's voice was angry as she stepped between us and the cameras. I rushed back over to Hobi as groups of people continued to gather. Police were finally on the scene and were rushing over with large mechanical jaws. Kelly's hand grabbed my wrist and tried to pull me away as the ambulance men jumped out of their vehicles.

"No, Hobi!" I yelled, tears finally running down my face. "Hobi, please wake up!" I felt new arms pull me back, and I immediately recognized them as Taehyungs. I turned around and leaned my head into his chest, his arms wrapping around me tightly as I sobbed into his shoulder. I hugged his back tightly, my entire frame shaking.

"Kookie, he'll be alright." Tae's deep voice was gentle but a little shaky. His hand on the back of my head was soft and reassuring.

"Where is Jimin?" I asked, suddenly noticing he wasn't with him.

"In the ambulance, they're stabilizing him." Tae said and took my hand, leading me towards the large vehicle. Blue and red flashing lights and high pitched sirens overwhelmed my senses and I forced myself to breathe evenly. I could see Jimin on a stretcher, being wheeled into the back of the ambulance, Kelly watching him. I jumped as a loud crack of metal snapped behind me. I whirled around and saw the passenger side door being stripped from the car. A paramedic was right there, assisting the men in moving Hobi out onto a stretcher.

"Let them do their job, it'll be ok." Tae's voice said, sensing my tension. Picture flashes were still going off everywhere as people were realizing who we were. I watched as Hobi was being loaded into a second ambulance.

"He can't be alone." I said, pulling against Tae's hand.

"Go with Hobi, Kelly and I are going with Jimin. I'll find you at the hospital!" He said and let go of my hand. I bolted towards the ambulance instantly, and got there just as they were about to shut the doors.

The ride in the ambulance was loud and chaotic. They had an IV line in Hobi's arm, an air mask around his face, and dozens of leads taped to his body. I sat quietly on the bench next to him, holding his hand tightly. The paramedics moved around me in an organized team. Some tried to talk to me, but I couldn't speak much. I wiped tears from my face again, struggling to stay calm. Memories from the past 7 years were replaying in my head, flashing in front of me like a movie. From our concerts, to dance practises, to our tiny dorm in the very beginning. The past couple of months threatened to take it all away from us. I heard a machine begin to beep loudly and it made the paramedics move more frantically. One removed the mask over Hobi's face and instead attached a small bag to it, manually squeezing it. I lowered my head, leaning my forehead onto my hands clasped around Hobi's. I closed my eyes and tried to drown out the shrill background noise.

Once we arrived at the hospital, it was all touch and go. The doors were thrown open and I didn't even get a chance to ask where we were going. Hobi was rolled out quickly and rushed inside straight away.

"Jungkook!" I heard Taehyung's voice behind me and I whirled around. He was limping up with Kelly next to him. I ran towards him, throwing myself into a huge hug around his torso. Tears were streaming down my face again as he stopped to hug me tightly. We stood like that for several moments before I finally let go.

"Jimin?" I asked and Kelly motioned towards the hospital doors.

"They wheeled him inside." She said. She had a bandage around her head and I could see the black eye forming on her left side. "Come on." We moved inside quickly and doctors directed us towards a small waiting room. Now that my adrenaline was more or less wearing off, I was becoming aware of my own injuries. My head ached, and dried blood was stained on my clothes, arms, and nose.

We sat down in the small chairs in the quiet room. I looked over at Taehyung and saw that his face was bruised and had several scratches from the shattered glass. His left arm had a large bruise forming from where he had hit the door panel. Kelly was just as beat up, a large burn on the inside of her arm from the airbag and bruises. Us three had gotten lucky, managing to walk away from the crash. But Hobi and Jimin...I was panicking inside. I reached out and shakily took Taehyung's hand, who held it tight. He looked over at me, his dark eyes red from unshed tears. I could feel his hands shaking too, he was just better at controlling it than I was. All we could do now was wait, and hope.
