Welcome Back.

darkwalker11: "great chapter this is by far my favorite fanfic cant wait for the next chapter."

Response: Thank you, that really means a lot. I'm glad you enjoy the story so far.

thesuperone342: "Awesome chapter, man. It's good to see Harper's POV and it's written well, too. I was curious to see how it was written. Is Logan going to be a major character in this arc and is there going to be a scene where Matt almost kills him? Also, how did the Big Four survive the destruction of the island? And since the Storm Bringers are from another reality, can they be from the reality of my story? I can change the Norse pantheon in my story to fit the way they will be portrayed here since Zane won't have a lot of involvement in Magnus Chase besides maybe a few scenes. Anyway, good chapter as always, can't wait to see the next one.

PS: Aiden beats the shit out of Matt when?"

Response: Thanks man. I like having her perspective as well, along with flashbacks to develop her even further. And no, Logan won't be a major character, because we're about to go on another quest, and he won't be on it lol. You'll find out how they survived soon, and yeah they can be from the reality of your story. Aiden won't beat the shit out of Matt, but Harper will lol.

NiHaR OP: "ahh they sabotaged camp and are quite possibly trying to break Typhon out of his prison, Krios x matt fight is gonna be osm"

Response: Yeah, and probably. You'll see the Krios fight this chapter, and it's gonna be good.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters (except the OC's) Percy Jackson & The Olympians, Heroes Of Olympus, or Trials Of Apollo. All of that belongs to Rick Riordan.

Now then, on with the third chapter. How hard can it be to fight a titan?

3. I Battle A Titan

I had envisioned myself a few times fighting an immortal.

Sure, I had fought Ouranos while he was in another body, and blocked a hit from Typhon...also in another's body. So I never really counted those, since they were handicapped in some way.

Well right now, I was charging at a full fledged immortal. A titan with all of his power, and believe me, it was immense. Words can't describe the overflow of aura that I felt when sensing it. It didn't intimidate me though, it only made my strike more fierce. Fear had been weaved out of me in training, my father had made sure of that.

Remembering the weak kid I used to be, it was laughable.

I particularly remember an evening in school...

Oh gods, speaking of school, I had missed an entire year, or at least a few months worth.

Now I know what you're thinking, Matt you're a demigod, you don't have to go to school, silly!

Well believe me I don't want to, but I made a promise to my mom that I would at least finish high school. She didn't want the fact that I was the Son of Hercules to change anything about my normal life. Well...it did, but I tried to keep the promise about school. As much as I hated it, I would complete it for her.

And now, that may be ruined. I don't know how I'll make up for lost time, maybe they have a program or something, or maybe I can manipulate the mist a little...

No, that would be cheating. Then what would your promise be worth?

Either way, I remembered a time in school when I had been weak, it was back when I still knew Joshua.

We had been in the gym, playing basketball. I was never good at it, but Joshua was, and he never made fun of me for sucking, so I went along with it, and had a good time most days.

Anyway, we were almost done with a game, there were a few other of our friends playing, when the boys from the next grade up came in, and started punking us.

"Outta the way, shrimps." One of the kids had said. Of course using the dumb insult shrimp.

Joshua and I had turned around. Joshua and I were relatively the same height at the time, and this kid was nearly a head taller, so we were outmatched physically.

"We're almost done, man." Joshua said.

One of the other kids stepped forward, "Well we're cutting you short."

I raised my hand in mediation, "Guys, just let us finish, you can have the court then."

They glared at me, then smirked.

"Sure, Matt. Hey, how's your dad?"

I clenched my fists, "Shut up."

The other pushed me to the ground, "What did you say, bitch?"

I stayed there, not wanting a fight with these guys. But my anger was flaring. Looking back on it, I'm glad I didn't attack them, because if I did, I would have lost control and killed them.

Joshua threw the ball on the ground and got in their face, "Hey, what was that for?!"

They grabbed the side of his head and threw him to the ground, kicking him in the stomach shortly after.

Joshua let out a groan of pain, I yelled, "STOP!"

One of the teachers called out at them, to see what was going on. Of course they played dumb.

They mockingly helped us up. Saying, "Oh they just fell miss! It was an accident!"

Of course they bought it, Joshua and I did nothing.

They smirked at us, "What were guys doing again?"

I shamefully said, "Leaving."

Joshua tried to protest, "Matt!"

"Josh, let's just leave it. We can finish the game some other time."

He hesitated, looking at the size of the older kids, then slumped his shoulders. We walked over to the bleachers, our gym period soon ending. The sad part was, we always let them have their way after that. If we were playing on the court or on the baseball field, and they wanted to play instead, we would let them take it. After all, they were bigger and stronger. We were defenseless.

I hated how weak I was at that time, knowing what I know now. It probably seems like a stupid thing to remember and dwell on, but it surprisingly crossed my mind a lot. Partly because of my weakness, and partly because of Joshua.

Man, I wonder what he was up to.

Any memory of me had been erased from his mind, thanks to Hera, but I couldn't help but wonder what he looked like, or where he was.

That didn't matter though, I could dwell on failures later, I had a titan to fight.

Time seemed to slow as I leapt at the Titan. I brought out Viribus from my neck, hefting it to the sky, focusing on storm clouds and lightning bolts.

As I did this, Krios did not stand still. He unsheathed his battle axe and brought it to his side, ready to swing. As it was sitting there though, I noticed it get brighter and brighter, eventually becoming so white in color, that it was blinding. I wasn't sure why it was doing that at first, until I remembered that he was the Titan of the Stars. That meant he could probably control their energy or something, and create heat like blasts. Wow, I had never considered that, I just thought this was going to be a melee battle. But apparently I was wrong, Krios had an ability.

This would be interesting.

I felt storm clouds gather in the sky, swirling around like a typhoon, producing a dozen flashes of light. One of them shot from the gray and soared towards my club. Within an instant, it connected, and I felt the powerful crackle of blue lightning on Viribus.

I let instinct take over, my mouth widening, letting out a primal roar. Krios' face was hidden, due to the ram shaped helmet. But I imagined his face was one of effort, due to his spiking aura surging right now, and that axe...it was charging, literally ready to burst, just like Viribus.

Let's see who wins this struggle.

I brought down Viribus and he swung his axe, the two met each other with a thunderous boom, equal to a atom bomb. Long and powerful bolts of lightning echoed across the sky, striking the water and causing holes to appear in it. What water was left that was, because the shockwave of our clash had cleared the area for miles. It was like Poseidon had decided to dry the land of water, and pull it back. It was insane, the foreseeable horizons were sand and rock, no water at all, any sign of aquatic life gone or dead. Percy would hate me right now, but I couldn't think about that.

We held our weapons firm as they pressed against one another. My club emitting bolts of lightning like a hell storm, the wind picking up and blowing dirt up from the ground for miles upon miles. Krios' axe also radiated power, a continuous white surge of star energy emitted from it like a beacon, racing across the newly formed wasteland.

If I was watching this as an outsider, I would have been in awe. With just one clash, we had cleared the entire foreseeable sea of water, creating tornadoes and thunderclouds, his white energy surging across the area made it look like an angel had crashed on Earth. The battleground was literally a wasteland of storms and sea ruin, the perfect plain to go all out in.

I felt myself making no gain against him, we were equal right now. I was grunting with strain, and he was too, I could hear him through the helmet. I couldn't see his eyes, but I glared right into where they would be.

"Surrender, Son of Heracles! You cannot win!" He yelled over the power clash.

"I could say the same for you, Krios! Your aura is filled with effort! Don't play dumb with me!"

He growled, and forced our weapons lower to the ground, opening an opportunity for him to headbutt me. Expecting this, I reared mine back, but it was a mistake. He knew I would expect that, so he instead removed a hand from his axe and brought it toward my face with fury. Ten million tons of force behind this blow, I would have to block it.

So I did. I was forced to drop Viribus and bring my hands up in an X position, shielding my face. His large fist connected with my forearms, sending a sting up my arms, and shooting me backwards.

I kept my feet planted in the ground, skidding back hundreds of feet, until coming to a stop. I registered the throb in my arms. He had hit me with a good bit of strength, and he was very, very strong physically. I knew that Atlas was the Titan of Strength, so I couldn't imagine fighting him at his full power if a blow from Krios was enough to make my arms throb.

The red aura had faded, because I had let it. I had gotten much stronger in my base, and had mastered the red aura to the point where I usually used it in bursts. It's more efficient that way, father had taught me.

I felt a pang of anger at the thought of him. How dare he lie to me.

Then again, a part of me knew he was kind of right. I mean, my training was for the benefit of the world, and my friends. Would I have really gotten stronger with only two months of training? No, it had to be a year. But still, that didn't change the fact that he lied to me, and that the others back at Camp were no doubt worried about me...and pissed at me.

I couldn't really blame him. He had delivered, he had made me stronger.

And I was going to use what he taught me.

I looked up and saw Krios only a few feet away, glowing with white energy. I knew what would come next, I had discovered he could control heat similar to what stars possessed, so he could no doubt emit that in an attack. I waited a split second, and forced myself to the side, rolling on the flat sandy ground. What resulted was my expectation, Krios had shot a white beam of energy in my former direction, it shot across the horizon with light speed, uprooting sand and creating a deep straight line of black. I was glad I had dodged that one.

I used this as an opening, quickly kicking his back, forcing him to one knee. He grunted and attempted to swipe me with his arm in a baseball like swing, I ducked under and delivered a downward punch to his neck. It was to my advantage that he had on light torso armor, I could target pressure points and weak spots, which was also a part of my training. An unorthodox way of fighting, meant to attack the weak points of one's body. It was an eastern style of fighting that my father had picked up on his travels, and found useful against opponents that were stronger than him.

I reared my fist in the air and struck again at the spot between his neck and shoulder, hitting it with ferocity. I felt the muscle dent and I heard his loud grunt of agony. All good things for me.

But he wasn't going to go down that easily, he caught my next strike with his hand and twisted mine, nearly breaking it. I yelled in pain, feeling a tight surge of heat shoot up my arm. I had to do something or he would snap my wrist. So I grabbed his helmet and kneed it with my other leg, only for it to do nothing. My hand continued to struggle against his, desperate to break free from his insane grip.

I thought of a quick solution, I used my other hand to grip his neck in a rear naked choke. Or well...a half rear naked choke. I squeezed, my bicep pressing against his exposed neck, using all of my strength. It took far longer than I wanted, but eventually he released some of the pressure on my wrist. I snatched it away, prepared to use it to enhance my choke hold, but just as I was about to attempt this, I felt my bicep get extremely hot. It was like a normal person getting splashed with boiling water, it was quick and intense. I had no idea what was happening, until I looked at his neck and saw a white glow emerge from it. He was using his powers to burn my arm, and the worst thing, he could use it in certain parts of his body, just like I can with the red aura.

Damn, this just got harder.

It got to the point where I couldn't take it anymore, so I retracted my arm from his neck, not letting down my guard, I quickly went for a jab at his stomach, only for him to block and return a front kick MMA style, sending me rolling back. Within a second though I kipped up, not allowing much distance to pass.

He chuckled, "Quite a grip you have." He looked around him, trying to find something. I was confused, what was he looking for? Was it his axe? I think he had dropped or dematerialized it at some point, so what was he doing?

Soon he found what he was looking for. He reached on the ground and picked up Viribus. I gritted my teeth, no one is allowed to use that but me.

"Put it down!" I yelled.

He held it with curiosity, "What is this made of exactly? Celestial Bronze is barely enough to block a strike from my full powered axe, yet this club remains perfectly fine."

For some reason I didn't want him to know it was made of the Adam Tree, so I quickly jumped at him. He became alert, and out of nowhere, a white flash appeared in my eyes, and I was sent hurdling back to the ground. I crashed in the sand, groaning at the pain in my face.

He looked at it closer, and he gasped.

"I-Impossible, this...cannot be!"

No, he hadn't figured it out. For some reason, he could not figure it out, I couldn't let him!

"It's just wood! That's all it is!"

He looked at me, I imagined his eyes were wide beneath that helmet. He raised Viribus and pointed it at me.

"This material is from the Adam Tree. The very first tree created by Gaea, the center of all plant life! It's power is beyond comprehension!"

I was surprised, beyond comprehension of even the Titans? Just what the hell was up with this tree? I was curious at what it looked like to be honest.

"What is something like this doing with a fool like you?! We thought the tree was dead! But no...this is proof it still exists! I must tell master!"

Oh gods, Master...that could only be one person.

"What does Ouranos want with the Adam Tree?" I called to him, now on my feet.

"That is none of your concern. All that matters is that the tree is still alive."

The thought of Ouranos getting his hands on the Adam Tree...didn't sit well. What would he want from it?

Krios began to turn around, "I must return this to master!"

"No you won't!" I shouted, tackling him in the back, Viribus flew from his hands and tumbled in the air. We fell and rolled across the plains like two children fighting.

We both got up and exchanged powerful blows. It was a sequence I can barely describe. We struck and punched one another, blocking and parrying attacks, some landing on him, some landing on me, the pain shooting through my body again. We maneuvered around the sandy wasteland like a superhero movie fight. Swerving around rocks, shattering them with our blows, and just causing general destruction.

Finally I threw his hands away and gripped his chest in a bear hug, stopping us in our tracks. I lifted him and squeezed with all of my strength, gripping my hands together as tight as they would go, my fingers interlocked.

I yelled in effort, trying to crush him. He attempted to wiggle his arms from my grip, to no avail. I roared and squeezed harder, allowing the red aura to encase my arms, boosting my grip one hundred fold. I heard some ribs break inside of him, golden ichor emerged from his nose, flowing from his helmet, and he yelled in pain. I grinned in success, thinking I would do some real damage here.

"YOU CAN'T ESCAPE ME, KRIOS!" I yelled, my voice gruff and loud.

He roared, desperately yanking his arm from my grasp, slipping away further each time. I tried to keep it up, but he was getting through. I heard more immortal bones break in his body, to which he grunted loudly. I felt ichor pour on my face, dripping from my chin and on my arms. He moved his head to his right arm.

I was confused at this, why is his head that way? Then it hit me.

He was using his blood like oil, to get his arm out.

It was too late before I realized. Him still suspended in the air by me, he brought out his arm and thrust his elbow quickly in my face, shooting a sting up my head. He struck numerous times, many hitting me in the nose and causing my eyes to water, blood trickling from the left nostril. I could barely see.

With a final blow, he elbowed me in the forehead, causing me to drop him.

He groaned in pain, gripping at his sides.

"You've got fight, demigod. I'll give you that. But this is where it ends!" His axe materialized in his hand, and he swung it at me faster than I could blink, It glowed white like a shooting star, and connected with my side. I felt a terrible pain in my kidney area, my body being flung across miles of land. I curled into a ball, so I wouldn't just be a ragdoll in the air.

Within a few moments, I stopped tumbling. I laid there on the sand, facing the gray clouds above. I felt my side throb and sting with immense pain. I winced, barely raising my head to look at it.

What I saw nearly made me throw up.

My side had been split open like a tree to an axe. Blood oozed from the foot long gash, the thick red substance everywhere. I gasped at it. It definitely looked worse than it felt, although it didn't feel so good either.

I had to get to Viribus, it was the only thing that could fix me. Even ambrosia would take a while, leaving a nasty scar. With Viribus, it will be healed in seconds, and only leaving a thin white scar line.

I looked straight, my vision a little blurry, I saw Krios stalking toward me, still a hundred feet away, but closing in, his axe spinning in his hand.

I had to get to Viribus, I had to move.

Move, dammit!

"Get up, bastard. Get up now!" I grunted to myself. Gripping my side in an attempt to stop the bleeding. It helped a little, but the cut was so long, blood still weaved through my fingers, dripping on the ground.

"Get up!" I shouted at myself, but my body felt like the earth was sitting on it.

"That's a nasty wound, Matthias. Don't worry, you won't have to suffer much longer." Krios said sadistically as he walked toward me.

"Not a chance you sick fuck, I'm gonna end your arrangement with Ouranos."

He made it to me, kicking my hand away, and pressing his boot to my wound, making it sting like the sun was touching it. I yelled in agony, and he laughed with pleasure.

"You shouldn't have messed with us, you should have stayed in your little Camp, it would have been so much easier for you..."

"Shut up. I'm gonna kill you just like Jason Grace did, and I'm gonna end this war."

He bent down and delivered a jab to my face, causing more dots to appear. I felt his large hand grip my hair in a wad, pulling on it slightly.

"Oh who am I kidding, you shouldn't have gone back to Camp, this is too much fun! And besides, it's not like you have anything to go back to."

"Bullshit I don't. I have friends! I have people that care about me!"

He chuckled, tightening his hold on my wound, keeping the blood from escaping, but squeezing so hard it hurt even worse.

"You've been alone for most of your life, Matt. And you just left these so called friends."

I gritted my teeth, "I had no choice. I had to get stronger! In order to defeat assholes like you!"

"And how's that working out?" He gestured to my wound, it was not looking good. I had to get to Viribus somehow...

"Just wait, I'll be up, and when I am, I'll kill you."

He laughed again, a deep laugh that echoed in his helmet, making him sound like Darth Vader.

"Face it, Matt. You've been gone too long, your friends have moved on, they've forgotten about you."

"That's a lie."

"No it's not. Shall I show you what we've been witnessing recently?"

I shook my head profusely, "Don't touch me!" But it was too late, he had already pressed his thumb against my forehead.

My eyes focused on the new sight before me, I was back at Camp. It looked the same as it always did. I felt a strange sense of peace. Knowing that this was home, my true home, and that as long as it existed, there was hope.

But the next sight that I saw, did not make me feel very good.

I saw Harper, and yeah, that made my heart leap a few feet. She looked beautiful as ever, not changing much, if this was a recent vision like Krios said, but she did seem a bit more...mature. I don't know how to say it, but she was slightly different, just not physically very much.

I saw her walk towards a tall boy with wavy blonde hair. It was as blonde as Annabeth's, and the guy wore basic summer clothes. He looked like a son of Apollo.

They started talking, and she had a look in her eyes that I didn't like, they were almost...flirtatious. At one point I heard her call him cute and he told her his name was Logan Barnes. He also mentioned how his family had been killed by two strange looking men.

Hold up.

First of all, my girlfriend is flirting with a dude and calling him cute. That alone is enough to make me feel like shit, but the fact this guy's family was killed by two strange looking men...

It was them. The men I saw Ouranos talking to, I knew it was.

I expected anger and jealousy to fill me, but surprisingly...the only thing I felt was guilt.

I mean, what did I expect? I'd been gone for a year. Were we even still a thing? Did relationships hold out that long when one half of it is across the world? I knew it would happen, I knew she would move one, but it still hurt to see.

If this was recent, then...that sucked. Things would be awkward no doubt when I went back. I didn't even hate this Logan guy. It wasn't his fault. The guy's family had been killed by those men, which only tells me that Ouranos is having them do awful things. It lets me know the level of ruthlessness I'm dealing with.

I'd have to think about this later, I needed to heal my wound, I needed to get this bastard off of me.

I broke the trance, popping from it and seeing Krios' helmet in my face again.

"You see? You have nothing!"

"Shut...the fuck...UP!" I yelled, crashing my hands together right in front of his face in a thunderous clap. The force sent him flying in the air, my body now freed. I got up quickly and jumped after him, holding my side, not allowing any more blood to escape. The pain was still awful, and I felt my teeth grind the whole time.

I made it to where he was, still disoriented, he couldn't block my next attack. I brought both fists above me and interlocked them.

"TAKE THIS!" I roared, bashing them down on his back, forcing him to the ground in an instant. He crashed down with a loud THUD! Sand exploding everywhere like a small bomb.

I landed and rolled in front of him, making a beeline for Viribus, which sat not far away on the sand. I was so close...

I ran and ran, until I heard a shout behind me and a boom from the ground. Krios had launched himself at me.

Damn it! I need to dodge-

"AGHHHHH!" I yelled in agony as the worst pain I've ever felt spread through my body. I felt myself being lifted into the air, my back towards the ground and my front facing the sky. Something was in my stomach, surges of immense pain shot at every movement.

I finally managed to look down, and saw a horrifying sight. I had been skewered by one of Krios' horns. He had launched himself from his position and stabbed me with the left horn. It had gone all the way through, and he was now hoisting me over his head, deepening and widening the wound.

I was in bad shape. These two wounds would kill me, I was losing too much blood. I had to get to Viribus. I couldn't hold out with a hole in my stomach. The only thing keeping blood from pouring out like a waterfall oddly enough, was Krios' horn.

"You little shit! You broke nearly all of my ribs! I'll kill you!" He yelled as he thrust me upward and downward, only making it worse.

"AGHHHHHH, AGHHH!" I was screaming with pain, this was the worst thing in the world. I was going to die if I didn't get my fucking club.

With my draining strength, I grabbed the horn in my stomach with both hands, gripping as hard as I could manage. I began to twist and pull it fiercely, I was going to rip this thing off and shove it down his mouth.

As I twisted and pulled, he yelled in pain just like me.

"NO, YOU STUPID MORTAL! I'LL RIP YOUR SKULL APART!" He punched me in my right side several times to get me to let go, but I wouldn't budge, no matter how many times he hit me. Each blow created shockwaves, rippling the sand and forming craters all over.

"I'm gonna return the favor, Krios." I managed to growl, knowing just where I would hit him. If I got this thing off that is.

It wouldn't budge, I needed the red aura. But as I tried to conjure it, it wouldn't come.

Dammit, now's not the time!

It flickered around me, but didn't stay. I needed it to stay!

I ignored Krios' continued grabs and punches at me, focusing instead on my friends, on Harper, on my father, the things that made me angry. I let them consume me, take me away, take control, but still having power over myself. It was like I was sailing. Ultimately the ocean has the final say, but the Captain still has some sway over it.

With a primal shout, I tugged the horn as hard as I could, the red aura enveloping me completely. I heard it crack, and then soon, SNAP!

It had come off completely. Krios howled in pain, I pushed myself off of him, feeling very woozy, my stomach throbbing and stinging like it had been impaled with a hot iron.

I grabbed the stunned Krios by the shoulder roughly, and brought his horn in my hand back far enough to the point where i knew it would succeed.

I thrust it into his stomach.

The horn went clean through, stopping halfway inside of his muscular frame. Ichor leaked from the hole, dripping onto the sand. Krios said nothing, he just shook and held the horn, dropping to one knee.

"Y-You'll pay...for...that." He croaked.

I couldn't muster any words, I was about to die as it was. I walked over to Viribus, twenty feet away, picked it up just in time before I fell to the ground, the dizziness taking me over.

I pressed the ancient wood to my stomach wound, there was a moment of delay, then I started to feel a lot better. It was like I was regaining my strength, every ounce of blood lost seemingly returned to me. I looked down and saw the hole disappear, my normal skin remaining. The only thing left was a faint white dot.

I then pressed it to my side, and it too healed quickly, leaving only a thin white scar in it's wake. It only looked cool in my opinion, So I definitely didn't have a problem with it.

I hefted Viribus, smiling at the trustworthy weapon.

I then looked in the sky, and muttered, "Thanks grandfather." I was thanking him for the weapon, because it just saved my life.

I thought it was over, until I heard a gruff voice call out behind me, "What are you thanking him for? This battle is not over."

I turned to see Krios standing upright, ichor still coming from the wound, but he stood tall, his axe in hand, ready to continue.

I was in shock. I mean, he was a titan, a full powered one at that too. But a stab through the gut? That wasn't enough?

He roared in anger, the white light glowed from him, making me cover my eyes, it was so bright. It surged everywhere in a condensed fashion. He could destroy this planet if he wanted to, but no, he was saving his energy for me. That was not a good thought.

"How are you not dead?" I asked.

He scoffed, "You cannot truly kill me, fool. Even so, I am not done yet, I won't let a mere child beat me."

"Fine then, I can do round two." I gestured to my healed wounds, "I'm all up for it."

He growled, then disappeared in a white flash. I immediately searched my aura radar.

…There!

I turned to my right and blocked his blow with Viribus, his battle axe meeting it in an epic clash. We didn't stay that way for long, I spun around and swiped at his head, to which he parried upward and tried to sweep me with the axe. I jumped, bringing Viribus over my head, quickly summoning a lightning bolt to it. The bolt connected and I brought it down on Krios, he shook from the electricity but didn't waver, still swinging at me through the lightning.

I backed up and spun Viribus in my hand, picking up wind to the speed of a tornado. Lightning coiled around it and shot at Krios with two deadly arcs, both connecting with his shoulder and causing him to stumble and grunt.

I took this chance and closed the distance, kneeing him in the bloody gut. He grunted and swung his axe at me, to which I sidestepped, feeling the crater form beside me, I jumped on the delay and jabbed Viribus at his helmet with all I had. The club connected with a loud gong and sent his head flying the other direction in recoil.

He eventually fell to the ground, I pounced on him and attempted to throw haymakers at his face, only to miss every time. He was dodging by moving his head around with great speed. I noticed that my attack with Viribus had cracked his helmet. I wonder what he looked like under there...

I needed to land a blow and rip it off, so I thrust my knee into his stomach wound, causing him to yell. I responded by swinging my elbow and connecting with his chin, the metal clanged off of my elbow, and it dented slightly.

I wasn't so lucky the second time. He dodged my elbow and headbutted me in the forehead, causing a sting to shoot to my brain, rattling it and making me see double for a moment. Krios wasn't stupid, so he took this chance and grabbed my legs. I felt myself being slung around and slammed to the ground numerous times, like that superhero movie The Avengers. I was getting hulked.

Each crash my head slammed into the ground, ringing my ears and making my vision go black momentarily. I finally regained my senses and caught the ground with my hands. We were in a parallel position, my head was on the ground, hands at either side of it, while my legs were straight in the air, held by him.

I quickly spun myself around with my hands like I was breakdancing, and focused the red aura into my legs only. It must have worked, because I burst free from his grip. I flipped up and landed on my feet. Feeling successful, I wasn't expecting the punch to the face.

He had immediately hooked me in the jaw, causing me to soar thirty feet away and crash on the sand. I groaned, feeling the throb in my jaw, right where my scar was. Damn, I knew I shouldn't have made that flip.

I still tended to do things that aren't necessary, and that takes valuable time away. I would have to do better in the future.

Krios walked behind me, and before I could get up, he kicked me in the back, popping a few bones and making it feel sore. I yelped out, the sound echoed across the wasteland.

"You filthy freak. You've caused me, a titan, to go all out! How shameful! You have no idea what I am going to do to you!"

"You talk too much." I said, and turned up, bringing the back of my hand across his neck, hitting it hard. He choked, grabbed it with his hand in shock, and stumbled back. I took this chance to rip his damn helmet off and end this, because I had to try, I wasn't just deciding to end it because I was winning by a mile, because that's not the case. He almost killed me.

No, I was going to try and end this because it had to be done, and I wasn't sure how much longer I could go, or what injuries I might sustain.

I let the red aura form around me, and that's when I went on a rampage.

Yelling in anger, the sounds of my battle cries long and loud echoing across this entire former sea, I let loose on the stunned Titan.

He was already wounded, so I targeted his stomach, thrusting Viribus through it and summoning lightning. The bolt connected and entered his body, frying any immortal insides to a crisp.

I began to unleash a flurry of strikes on him. My punches brutal and many, connecting with his jaw, face, chest, everything. Before I knew it, he was bleeding all over, lightning was flying, the red aura thick and dark, I was letting it all out, and Krios was paying for what he's done. He never even screamed or yelled in pain, because he didn't have the option, he was too overwhelmed by my assault.

After a few minutes of my onslaught, his aura weakened and fading, I kicked him swiftly behind the leg in the soft spot, dropping him like a sack of potatoes on his kneecaps. Ichor was everywhere, it was on me, Krios, the ground, Viribus, I mean everywhere.

He tried to speak, but it only came out as incoherent gibberish. I groaned in sudden pain, the blows of his did damage alright, and I couldn't just shrug them off. I needed to finish this now, while I still had the upper hand.

I brought Viribus to my side baseball style, and swung it at the side of his helmet as hard as I could, knocking the other horn off. It flew and spun in the air until it was out of sight.

I bashed his helmet in more, and more, and more, and more until it was an unidentified piece of metal, crumpled and beaten to the point of no return, ichor spewed from the eye and mouth holes. I wondered what his face looked like right now. It probably wasn't so handsome.

"All the shit you titans have done, and now one of you is going to get what's deserved." I grabbed his misshapen helmet, "I figured after Percy beat Kronos you guys would have stayed away. But no, you had to do something as stupid as work for Ouranos. I mean, I get he's your father, but he's pure evil."

Oh who am I kidding, this guy doesn't care. He tried to kill me, at any given chance he would rip apart an innocent child and not think twice about it.

This reminder fueling me, I yanked his helmet off with extreme effort. I'll admit, it wasn't easy, especially since I had rearranged his face, but I managed after a few seconds, straining my muscles to pull it off.

When I did, I held the helmet in my hand and looked at the beaten Titan.

His face was like a watermelon that had just been shot by a shotgun. It was misshapen, dented, and most of all...very bloody. Gore and muscle tissue hung from his face, ichor dripped like it would from a cup. And huh, I had no idea Titans had muscle tissue.

Idiot, how do you think he's so buff?

Either way, he looked downright unrecognizable as a humanoid. I couldn't even tell what it was supposed to look like before, I had bashed it so badly. He sputtered incoherent words, ichor fell from his mouth, a few strands sticking to his lip in a disgusting rope.

I bent down a little, kind of enjoying the sight of an asshole defeated and bloody.

"What was that, Krios? You were saying something?" I put my hand behind my ear mockingly, to which he spit ichor in it.

I growled in anger, wiping it from my ear.

Hold it back Matt, don't let him get to you.

I only smiled wickedly at him, "Now you're gonna pay. Guess a Titan crumbles before a demigod, who would've known? Cause Ouranos sure didn't."

His misshapen eyes widened at the realization that his father, his master had sent him to his death.

I bent down and said into his bloody ear, snarling a gruff threat "When you get to Tartarus...wait for Ouranos, cause he's gonna be joining you soon. You can give him hell then."

I got up, gripped Viribus, and brought it down on his head. Ichor flew everywhere, the gore hanging by a thread fell to the ground in lumps. I bashed and bashed and bashed, yelling loudly with roars of animal instinct, like a Lion. The Lion that I was, because I am.

I am the Lion.

I finally stopped after I was satisfied. Only a pile of golden liquid and pieces of brain remained next to his neck stump. Within seconds, his body shone a bright white, then disappeared with a crack.

I was blinded by this, and taken to another realm it seemed.

I was in a field of fallen soldiers, all bloody and lifeless. A few were on pikes, dangling in the air by their backs, just like how I was a few minutes ago when Krios stabbed me through the stomach with his horn.

The sky was a blood red, storms billowed in it, white lightning danced across the sky like I had never seen it. In the distance, I saw Manhattan, crumbling, the screams and wails of people echoing across the bloody battlefield.

Every one was dead but me it seemed. I looked around to find a sign of life, and finally spotted it.

Over to the right, I saw the African Savannah, just like in my earlier vision. The air was orange and peaceful, like a perfect sunset. A male lion and his cub sat at the watering hole, yet again. And that man...yes, he was still there. He had on a black suit and a top hat. His eyes were hidden in darkness and he had a mustache, hiding his mouth.

I saw the Savannah fade away, and a booming voice erupted with laughter across the entire scene, making my ears sting.

"MATTHIAS BECKETT!" It was Ouranos, I saw his face appear in front of me, only...dear gods, holy shit.

It was the Ouranos. The Original Sky god.

Why am I so surprised? because it wasn't in another's body. No Malachi, no face in the clouds, instead it was...a being.

He was ten feet tall, muscular, dressed in a grey toga, his long white beard and hair whistled in the wind, his eyes glowed blue, the mist and wind seemed to cling to him. He looked like Zeus did when he went into full power, only older and more...intimidating. Yes, even more intimidating that Zeus. This was...malevolence, the aura indescribable, nearly making me explode.

He laughed wickedly, his face contorting into one that made me shiver with chills, but I remained firm, the wind blowing me back slightly, my wind whipping in my face.

"OURANOS!"

"YOU THINK YOU STAND A CHANCE? YOU HAVE SUPRISED ME BY KILLING KRIOS, BUT MARK MY WORDS, YOU WILL NOT BE SO LUCKY NEXT TIME!"

I felt myself surge with anger and rage, I felt the red aura coat me with it's awesome power in the shape of a lion, roaring at Ouranos.

He laughed loudly, "COME LITTLE CUB, COME IF YOU DARE!" He held his hands to his side, lightning bounced off of him in all directions, the wind now unstoppable.

I yelled, and what came out was not my voice, it was a Lion's. No, ten thousand lions. The sound was as loud as his booming voice, as hundreds of Lions roared at him.

I felt myself get stronger, and I leapt at him, ready to fight.

Just as that happened, I was thrown from the daydream. I saw the sandy wasteland, and the now bright sun, where my storm clouds had already dissipated. I felt myself get dizzy and I fell to the ground.

What seemed like hours passed, the sun cooking me like an egg the whole time. But I lay there, not even attempting to get up. I was just...there, just laying there for an hour or so.

But any thoughts that I was having were interrupted by an eagle cawing.

An eagle?

I opened my eyes to see a large eagle staring down at me, it's head tilting to the side.

"K-Kyros?" I muttered with confusion.

Kyros cawed and pecked my nose, causing me to get up and groan, looking around in sheer confusion.

"How did you get here?" I asked the bird.

"I brought him here." A deep voice said behind me.

I turned around to see my father standing there, walking towards me.

He got to me and held out a hand, "Quite a battle you just had."

"I can get up." I tried to wave him off.

"Viribus can heal, but don't think that stab wound is completely cleared of pain."

He was right, I felt a sting shoot up my body, making me slump to the ground again.

"Take my damn hand, son."

I grabbed it and he pulled me up, I stumbled a bit with dizziness, but composed myself and kept my balance.

"You just defeated a Titan at full power. I gotta admit, that's damn impressive."

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I felt that fight all the way to my Island."

"And you didn't think to help out?"

"Course I did, but that wouldn't mean shit now would it? You had to beat Krios on your own, to prove you have what it takes." He said this while poking my chest for emphasis.

I thought about what he said, and the reasons for his lying to me.

"You're right."

"What?"

"You were right, about...everything, okay. I'm sorry I snapped and left, It was childish and stupid."

He studied me for a second, chuckled, then sighed.

"Come here." He said, motioning me a few feet away. We both sat down on the sand, side by side, Kyros next to him.

"Matt, I thought about it, and...look, you have nothing to be sorry for."

"But I was-"

"I know, just let me finish. I was angry because well, you're right. I haven't experienced friendship or love in a long...long time. I've been on the fucking island for so long, I forgot what it was like to be a teenager."

I stayed silent, listening to every word he said.

He continued, "You have friends that you care about, and you miss them. I understand now, and I realize I was a bit too harsh on you. I-I'm sorry for lying. That wasn't the right thing to do, I should have told you up front how long it would be. But instead, I got caught up in the idea of you becoming such a badass that I lost sight of how you would feel. For that, I apologize."

I nodded, reading his words as sincere, because they were. I sighed, "And I'm sorry too. For whining on occasion and bitching about training. I should have known you had your reasons and listened better to you. For that, I apologize."

He clapped me on the shoulder, "No harm done. Oh, and...one other thing."

I turned to him, "Yeah?"

He looked down in...nervousness? Wow, I had never seen my father like that.

"I'm sorry for what I said about you and your girl. It was wrong of me to judge you guys as having a instinctual relationship. Hell, you obviously care about her or you wouldn't be so determined to get back to her. I just...well, romance isn't my strong suit, so I guess I really don't understand it."

My heart sunk at his words, remembering what I had seen.

I didn't want to say anything though, I wanted to leave things off on a good note.

So I just muttered, "Don't sweat it father, I understand."

He nodded, "Thanks. Now then, what exactly happened? Any information on Ouranos' next move?"

I racked my brain, having to think hard due to the likely concussion I had received, but then I remembered it.

"The Adam Tree."

"What about it?" He asked, an eyebrow raised.

I told him about how Krios thought it was dead and how Ouranos had to know it was still alive.

His eyes widened, he began to shake his head.

"What would he want with it?"

"I-I'm not sure, but we need to leave, now."

"Why?"

"Because I have information too."

"Okay..."

"It's Hephaestus. He was one of the figures Ouranos whispered to."

"Has he made any moves?"

He shook his head, "No, but...no one has seen him, in a long time. The other Olympians are suspicious."

"Do they know he spoke with Ouranos?"

"I don't think so. That's why we need to see what the hell is going on."

"And if something's up with him?"

"We snap him out of it. Or...kill him."

I didn't like the sound of that. Killing a titan is one thing, but an Olympian? Especially the blacksmith god? That was a different story.

He walked away quickly, Kyros following him, me shortly behind.

"Wait! Where are we going?"

"Back to my Island, to prepare."

"For what?"

He turned to me, looking directly into my eyes, "Our quest."

My eyes widened, "Quest? Y-You? And me?"

He nodded.

"But isn't that against the-"

"I already told you, I don't give a damn about the ancient laws. This is serious, and I'm going with you, you're gonna need me. Zeus will turn a blind eye."

"And if he doesn't?"

He looked down, his face darkening, "Then maybe he'll listen to reason."

"And if that doesn't work?"

"We run like hell."

I gulped at that, shutting my mouth. Unpleasant images popping into my head involving my grandfather.

"We're going to find Hephaestus, see what's going on with him, and show the proof to the gods that they aren't safe."

I nodded, we were now walking again, reaching the edge of the wasteland, just shy of the ocean.

"Where will we go after your Island?"

He looked into the distance, the breeze was gentle, almost peaceful, but we both knew it was the calm before the storm. We were apparently about to go on a quest, father and son. Who the hell knew what would happen.

I had a feeling it would be twice as dangerous as our first one.

"We'll go to Hephaestus' workshop, in the ruins of Mount St. Helens. Then Olympus."

"And then?"

He looked at me and smirked, "Wherever the wind takes us, Matt. You never know with this world. Hopefully you can return to your precious Camp."

I smiled at the thought.

Home.

I suddenly felt reinvigorated, I was about to do it all over again. And hopefully along the way, I would reunite with everyone.

My father stood at the edge of the calm water, Kyros perched on his shoulder, he turned to me slightly.

"You ready?"

I walked up next to him, more prepared than I had ever been. I had proven myself today, I had defeated a Titan.

"I'm ready." I said, confidently.

With that, we jumped from the ground, in the direction of his island.

One down, six to go. I thought.

Hephaestus, here we come.

(000)

Wow you guys, that was very fun to write. I think that might be my best fight scene yet. I hope you all enjoyed it.

To clear up any confusion, Krios was at his full power here, unlike in the books. He got this due to Ouranos, who granted him his old power. Also, I decided to give him a star related ability, as he is the Titan of Constellations.

Anyway, Harper's POV is next, I bet you guys want to see Matt's right away, huh? Well that's the beauty of dual perspectives, because it keeps you hanging, wanting more.

Thanks for reading, and I'll see you for Chapter Four!

Until Next Time.
