Chapter 30
After getting back to the main region, Ash and the group are now back at the Castle with Peonia meeting Ash's other siblings. Ash turns to Delia and asks, "Serena, Gloria, and Dawn aren't back yet?"
"They are still on their journey." Delia says, "Only Lillie can come back because she found some time."
Lillie says, "So what are we going to do with Necrozma? I mean, it might be dangerous to send it out just like that Eternatus."
"I have been thinking the same thing as well." Ash says, "Do you have any suggestion? Mother?"
"I think we should put it in the danger zone just like Eternatus. Right now Eternatus is opened up to your other Pokemon, so there is no reason that Necrozma couldn't do it. Besides, Necrozma might still remember you because of how you were able to give him the light that he needed."
"Yeah." Ash says as he nods. Just then, he hears a phone ring and he says, "Rotom, please answer the call."
"Understand." Rotom says as he shows the call. "...hello, hello? You there? This is Ash's Rotom Phone, right?"
"Yes, this is Ash." Ash says.
"Brilliant! I asked Hop for your number. I'm glad he didn't pull anything funny, like giving me the wrong one..." The voice says and Ash says, "Who is calling?"
"Oh, sorry. Guess I should've said who was calling you, eh? It's me, Leon! Sorry if I took you aback! But rest assured, there can only be a pretty good reason for me to call you out of the blue like this. The former Champion of Galar has a favor to ask of the current Champion... And that's you, Ash!"
"Me?" Ash asks, "What do you want, Leon?"
"Come on over to Wyndon Stadium, and I'll tell you all the details! I'll head that way myself now—and I swear I won't take any detours or get lost!" Leon says as he ends the call.
Ash turns to his family and asks, "I wonder what is Leon talking about..."
Bea says, "Leon had also called us earlier, he also wanted us to go to the Wyndon Stadium, but we told them that we are going to wait for you before we arrive."
"I see." Alice says, "I think we should all go there to see what he is doing."
The others nod as they all go there, but just as they enter the stadium, they see Leon there and he says, "Ash! Everyone! You made it! Come on! Follow me to the Battle Court! We can talk there. You're ready, right?"
"What is it that you're making a big deal?" Peony asks Leon and Leon is surprised, "Wait, aren't you the Steel Peony? It has been years since I see you."
"You must be the famous Leon, it is an honor to meet you." Peony says, "I heard that my old bloke brother being arrested for doing something bad, so my darling niece asked me to be the Gym Leader again."
"I see. That will be great, I was just about to ask Elena about something, but if you can come, that will be brilliant." Leon says with a smile. "Now let's go."
As they arrive at the stadium, they are shocked to see all the gym leaders, Hop and Gloria are even there as well. Alice says, "Gloria! You're here!"
Hop and Gloria see Ash and Alice as Gloria hugs Ash. "Ash, Alice, long time no see. I heard from Ms. Ketchum that you two have been in the Isle of Armor and the Crown Tundra. How is it?"
"It is fun. Though you should have come with us as well." Ash says, "How did you do in the Kanto League?"
"I lost in the finals, but I am not complaining since I got further than my last time." Gloria says.
Hop says, "So Leon also called you three here, huh?" Hop is referring to Ash, Alice, and Elena, and they all nod.
"What is all this?" Ash asks, "I mean...why are all the gym leaders here?"
"Huh? You mean Lee didn't tell you anything? I've been really busy with my studies, so I actually turned Lee down at first, but... Well, that brother of mine doesn't give up easy!" Hop says.
"Ohhh, ex-CUSE me! Are we interrupting your private little chat?" They turn around and see Klara and Avery also walking towards them.
"Klara?" "Avery?" Ash and Alice exclaim in unison.
"Hey, you're...Klara and Avery, right? From the Master Dojo?" Hop asks.
"As I would expect from one related to the former Champion, you clearly have an elegant mind and formidable memory." Avery says.
"An elegant...what?" Hop asks, and Ash, Alice and Gloria sigh at his stupidity.
"We've been working really hard with my team since you beat us all into the dust before..." Klara says.
"And my efforts were rewarded gloriously! You are looking at the chosen leader of the Psychic Gym and Poison Gym!" Avery says.
"Does that mean Luna and Gabe decide to pass down their gym leader titles to you? No wonder I haven't seen them around." Marnie comes and greets them.
"Hello, Marnie. It is nice to see you as well." Ash says as they hug for a short while. "How are your gym leader business?"
"Tiring, but I am glad that we get to have a Dynamax stadium of our own." Marnie says with a nod.
"And it seems you are still the same." They also notice Bede, who is folding his arms looking at them, and Hop says, "Oh, you are here as well."
"I am the Fairy Type Gym Leader after all, why wouldn't I come?" Bede says.
"Anyway, congratulations to you two." Alice says to Klara and Avery.
"Feel free to keep heaping on the praise and adoration! It really is a fantastic achievement!" Klara says.
"Indeed, you can feel free to praise me some more. It's perfectly deserved of course." Avery adds.
"Th...That really is amazing! I hope you'll keep working hard to become stronger as a gym leader." Alice says.
"Alice..." The two of them mutter, and Klara says, "Well, you can bet your bottom I'll be going all out in this event! Just you wait and see!"
Avery says, "Indeed, rest assured that I will bring my very best performance to this competition. I will be a fearsome challenger to face down!"
"Suddenly I'm feeling all fired up for this thing! If everyone's taking it that seriously, I don't want to be the one to lose!" Hop says.
"Hee hee! Don't worry-I'll knock you out nice and cold!" Klara says. "Just what I like to hear!" Avery adds.
After chatting for a while, they hear Leon's loud voice, "All right, everyone! Sorry to have kept you waiting! First things first—I want to say a quick thank-you to all of you for coming running when I called! I really wanted to explain this in person, because I wanted to be sure I could get across to you all how great this idea is!"
This causes everyone to look at him with confusion. "Phew, would you take a look at this guy? Getting all serious on us in your old age, are you? What is this grand idea anyway, Leon?"
Leon glares at Raihan and he says, "Hah! Don't you start on me, Raihan! I'm really trying here!"
"Indeed, you should let Leon talk, brother." Gloria mutters.
"See, I've spent my whole life battling with myself to become the greatest Trainer... And then I saw how Ash grew so strong by competing against my little brother, Hop... and how much it made Hop grow, too. It really proved to me how much further you can go when you're battling against a proper rival!"
"Hrmph..." Bede mutters in a low voice that nobody can hear him.
"And now that I've taken over running the League from Chairman Rose... I'm thinking I want to bring even more thrilling battles to our wonderful Galar region! So for both these reasons, I've called you all here today to tell you that... I'm declaring the Galarian Star Tournament open!" Leon yells as the crowd is cheering.
"The Galarian Star what?!" Marnie asks in confusion. Piers just gives out a sigh, "Doesn't he ever tire of draggin' other people into his nonsense?"
"The Galarian Star Tournament will be an elimination tournament in Multi Battle format! I want all of you here to pair up with the stronger partner you can think of... then pool your power and work together to try to win your way through the tourney!" Leon says.
Ash turns to Elena and asks, "Elena, do you know about this?"
Elena shrugs and says, "Ever since I let the League work goes to Leon, I have been doing other business in the Marco Cosmos. So I am oblivious just like you."
"Okay." Ash says. "But it seems like we are having a Multi Battle format of a Champion Tournament."
"Indeed." Alice says.
After hearing the opening ceremony from Leon, they are now at the Lobby. Due to some Gym Leaders have other business to do, and the fact that the tournament only opens for the first 16 trainers to attend, Ash decides to pair up with Marnie first as they enter the tournament. Alice, Gloria and Elena agrees as they decide to sit on the seats to watch the battle.
Marnie says, "Thanks for choosin' me for this tournament. Morpeko seems real pleased to get to battle alongside your team, too."
"That's good to hear." Ash says as Pikachu also agrees. "So let's see who are we battling first..."
As they see the chart, they find that they are facing Milo and Nessa at the same time.
"Milo and Nessa..." Ash says, "They are the first two gym leaders that we faced back in the Gym Challenge."
"You're right." Marnie says as they go to the battlefield with the emcee announcing the trainers on both sides. Milo says, "Just our luck to be matched up against the Champion's team in round one, eh?"
"Come on, Milo. Don't tell me you're throwing in the towel already!" Nessa says back. "Together, I bet we can sweep aside any opponent - even if it's the Champion!"
"You can say that again. In that case, guess I'd better really put my back into it and show off a little!" Milo says.
"You're not the only one showin' off! I'll show you all the true strength of Spikemuth Gym!" Marnie says.
After they shake hands, they go to the other sides of the fields, and Marnie says, "Ash, we're gonna win this...together!"
"Of course, we are." Ash says as they are now facing against the two of them. Milo and Nessa send out their first Pokemon, Shiftry, and Golisopod. Ash and Marnie send out Scizor and Morpeko.
The four Pokemon are looking at each other and the referee yells, "Now let the match begin!"
And I will have to cut off the chapter here, and as you can see, the Galarian Star Tournament is finally here! I decide to go with the game version to let Ash pair with Marnie for the first battle. Some people have asked me if this is the sequel to Ash's Galar Story, I can say that it is, but with some minor things changed like Ash didn't know that his mother is an Arceus. And for the Harem in the Galar Story, I am still going to do it even though this is DLC, so Ash still has seven girlfriends and they still share Ash.
