Prologue:

I've seen everything that I could possibly ever think to see, every branching path and every narrative ends in a way which I don't like: with either nothing of note happening, the clown getting out, or there being a weakness that could help him get out. (It shows flashes of the previous endings over top of "Agent Shepherd's" face including: Stu and Bryce in the hospital, Needles Kane driving towards Calypso in Twisted Metal II and Mr. Grimm collecting Calypso's soul before it cuts back to him sitting on his car hood.)

Every effort that I've tried to put in to make sure he doesn't leave falters as well: the man who screams and the junkie would just do whatever they want while dad's little girl would be the closest but it would take down everything I needed to succeed. (It shows Banshee stuck in the Harbor City morgue interspersed with him planting a bomb in his chest, Twister's skin melting out mixed in with a bomb and a surgery to her brain and then the entire blimp crashing down into the city causing a giant crater to form in the middle as "Shepherd" would look out into the distance towards the city in front of him.)

Sometimes you just have to do things yourself in order to get the results that you want: me replacing Calypso. The path before me has been set in blood, a lot of blood; but it isn't set in stone. (It shows "Shepherd" looking towards the destruction and chaos that is Harbor City, the sky is lit with red with fire and the screams of dying people permeating the air around it. "Shepherd" then looks to his future to reveal flashes of him looking at Needles on a throne in the blimp before it cuts back to "Shepherd" and his wicked smile. It then cuts to him driving towards Harbor City, intent on him finishing the job once and for all as it fades to black)

Arenas:

Suburban Terror- "One of his old hunting grounds, I'm not surprised he's hunting here first. Too peaceful for his own good."

Junkyard- "He is the weak link, no matter what he escapes. If I win it will never happen, ever."

Ghetto- "I have to catch up, I can't let anyone else win"

Harbor Shopping Plaza- "I'm coming for you Calypso, one way or the other"

Harbor City- "I'm stuck abiding the rules of this sick fuck's head but I will find a loophole for me to exploit"

Rooftops- "They say it's always lonely at the top but...I like the view from up here"

Stadium Slaughter- "You think with the state of his mind that everything would be harder...but it's not, it's only more demented"

Middle:

(Shows the final destruction of Minion, with "Shepherd" looking at the wreckage in the stadium, crows fly over the fire) If only Marcus Kane over here knew what was ahead of him he would've let me take care of business instead of trying to fight me and delay the inevitable. Hell he probably would've just thanked me and let me be on my way. It's sad really, I could sense a possible kindred spirit in him… (It shows "Shepherd" walking up to Minion and sitting his foot on his neck, slowly taking away his breath as the body goes limp before it flashes to Minion's previous ending and Twisted Metal: World Tour popping up. It then cuts to a close up of "Shepherd's" face and a wicked smile as a giant crack sound illuminates the stadium and Minion's corpse lies there unmoving.)

Halfway there, everything's coming together. I have tried so hard to make sure that Calypso would fail, that he would fall. I'm restricted by the rules of his mind: I couldn't just run in and sweep the area and kill everyone because his evil is way too strong….I'm in his world. I created monsters from humans with tragic backstories so that they would fit into the contest, with the hope that the programming would work to my favor so I wouldn't have to dirty my hands...but that also failed… (It shows a flash of "Shepherd" taking Calypso's soul in a ring before it cuts back to the present looking at his ring with absolutely no color to it, before it flashes the previous experimented contestants overlaying across his face before it cuts to normal, showing a look of extreme disappointment.)

With me taking over the throne from Calypso, I would make sure to never let him get out. The conclusion of escape seems inevitable otherwise and the idea of Needles escaping from the prison that is his mind would lead to disastrous consequences for all of us. We can't kill it as it's become too strong but I can at least play permanent prison warden in his mind. (It shows fantasies of "Shepherd" sitting on the throne surrounded by bodyguards as it pans down to Needles in the prison chained up and tortured repeatedly by guards with flashes of what seems to be a hellish landscape flickers back and forth before it cuts to an apocalyptic future with Needles in a gas mask. It then cuts to him getting back into his vehicle before driving off into the city to finish the fight.)

Arenas II:

Railyard- "Calypso saw ahead of the game that it wouldn't be good so he sent Black to take care of business...only if he knew that it wouldn't end up working."

Death Port and Docks- "We will all perish if he escapes! Do these people know that?"

Carnival of Darkness- "This is where his home is, his HQ. But he's too strong here, I have to get him where he's weak.."

SCenter- "Now this! This is prime real estate to blow up! I can't believe I am actually "liking" where Needles is going with his arenas..."

Sewer- "You don't need to know where I came from, you gotta keep the suspense going...at least for now..."

Prison Yard- "I should've just looked to the local prison for test subjects to be honest, there's so many of them…"

Harbor Military Base- "I have to do what has to be done"

Harbor City Airport- "The monster will never escape, escape means the collapse of reality for us all…"

Ending:

This is where it all ends...everything ends. There will be no more chances of escape, no more weak links, no more Twisted Metal...no more nothing! I entered the blimp with nothing more than a foresight of the future and a dream and I took what I wanted. Calypso was no more. I won the contest but since I didn't wish for anything as I knew he would twist it around. Only an idiot would ask for something instead of taking it. And take it I did, I got what I wanted and immediately took his soul. (It shows "Shepherd" driving into the blimp with his vehicle before it cuts to the guards walking their way over when they see that there is no driver. It then pans over to behind the throne where a giant hand emerges from behind Calypso. The hand forcibly attaches itself to Calypso's forehead as a piercing red light emerges from behind him, with the soul of Calypso coming out of his body, the husk of what remains shriveling up.)

The guards begged for their life...I declined their generous offer. After I settled in the man who I've been waiting for arrived. (It shows the guards crying and collapsing on the ground and begging for their life with audible wails being heard. Everything remains still before the screen suddenly shakes and it turns into a bright red light before it cuts to all of the guards on the floor as burnt husks. It then shows "Shepherd" walking out from behind the throne and kicking the dead Calypso's corpse down the steps with "Shepherd" and his ring glowing before sitting down. It then pans over to show the husk of his destroyed vehicle before Needles crashes into the blimp and slowly drives forward out of the shadows.)

The clown creepily inched his way towards my throne room as if he was expecting some sort of rightful handout. The look in his eyes was priceless, as it went from excitement to disappointment at his predicament instantly. He got out of his truck and just stared at me in anger, though the smile on his mask said something...different. (Needles drives his giant ice cream truck into the blimp ready to take his wish when he sees the lifeless husk of Calypso at his feet with "Shepherd" sitting on the throne. The new Calypso and Needles proceed to stare at each other in silence, with Needle's eyes having the look of disappointment before it cuts to him getting out of his truck, machete in hand. It then pans over to the both of them just staring at each other from a distance.)

"Your wish belonged to Calypso...you will get nothing from me. The contract is void, go home to where you belong." ("Shepherd's eyes became red as the world proceeded to collapse around the blimp, with Harbor City sinking into the ground and the souls of the guards who died rip themselves out of the husks of their bodies and with extreme force push Needles and the Ice Cream truck out of the blimp. It then cuts to the outside of the blimp, where it shows Needles and his Ice Cream truck falling into the dark abyss below. It then cuts to show Needles back at Blackfield Asylum smashing his head against the nearby wall as "Shepherd" laughs and a figure of what seems to be Black standing right next to him before it fades to black.)

(It then shows a different world, a CGI cartoonish sort of world before it fades into the penthouse of a giant tower. It pans over the place to show what seems to be a carnival with a bunch of clowns jumping around, with the most prominent being a smaller man garbed in a striped shirt and purple pants, covered in face paint with a giant blue triangle going down the upper half of his face and and wearing glasses with the name tag: "Melvin". Melvin then turns around to reveal the tallest clown with his head on fire and in a blue ringmaster uniform. It then shows Melvin getting off and walking up right next to the ringmaster, swaying back and forth as he walks while the ringmaster overlooks the destruction going out in the city in front of them.)

"The preparations are prepared for next year's Twisted Metal! You should come and take a look at what the others have prepared! Tell me what you think!" Melvin said in his annoyingly high pitched voice. (It shows Melvin and the ringmaster walking into the ringmaster's office to show a banner above that says "WELCOME TO TWISTED METAL: ROAD TRIP" and a globe in front of him pierced with throwing darts. It then cuts over to the Ringmaster, revealed to be Needles Kane smiling deeply and patting Melvin on the head before walking back to his spot to overlook the carnage happening outside.)

(It then shows the door shutting behind Needles Kane, before Melvin stops to take a look at the globe, now shining to show a reflection. The reflection turns darker before it reveals a black silhouette figure with huge red eyes glowing only to cut back to Melvin himself.) "Sweet Tooth is now...Ours..." (It then shows Melvin's eyes glowing red before it pans quickly into them before once more, finally, cutting to black and the credits rolling over, "Bad Stone" by The Crystal Method playing.)

Note: Finally, years of work are done having built up to this moment. I apologize for taking so long into the later chapters, life stuff mixed with a lack of motivation and inspiration have messed with me for a long time but I'm finally glad to have actually finished one thing in my life instead of jumping back and forth between fifteen different projects and completing none of them. I want to say thank you to those who have commented and gave feedback, even if it wasn't the most positive. It's not the best thing ever written and I know it's not 100 percent accurate to Twisted Metal: Harbor City especially with the recent leaks coming out on YouTube but I wanted to thank everyone for reading it and enjoying it! You guys are the reason I forced myself to push forward to finish it. Also shoutout to Akarenger and Malakai Quest for feedback and story inspirations, you guys are great. I'll try to come up with a new story soon which I'll try to pitch several before choosing one so check my profile for that if you like and in the meantime I am out. I hope you guys have an awesome day and I hope you guys like the finished product!
