A/N: I've never seen a Shinto Ceremony so everything in this chapter was written after some researches.

Warning for an OOC future Sesshomaru and a lot of fluffiness - or what I think is a lot of fluffiness.

I'll let you be the judge. Enjoy!

Chapter Thirty-One: The Wedding Day

The morning after Inuyasha was abruptly awakened by Sota at the first lights because he said that they needed him to wash both himself and his son. Women were coming to help Kagome prepare and they needed the bathroom empty for hours. He glanced outside the window and noticed workers already decorating the shrine's grounds.

He groaned, that was going to be a long day.

By the time he had finished and reached the kitchen to get some food, he could hear squealing girls all over the place and prayed they would stop soon. How many women were needed to dress Kagome? He also noticed that the priest that was going to celebrate the marriage had already arrived along with some mikos and hurried to find a hat to cover his ears. Sesshomaru, who suddenly appeared in the kitchen, saved him.

"Little brother, good morning," he greeted him.

"Sesshomaru! Why nobody warned me that strangers were coming to the shrine so early?" he exclaimed. His panic was due to three years of Kagome drilling into him the importance of covering his ears in this era.

"Calm yourself, Inuyasha. You do not need to fret. I have brought with me the solution I had been talking about," he said while showing him a simple golden band in his open palm.

"A ring? What should I do with a ring? How is that going to conceal my ears?"

Sesshomaru fixed him with beady eyes and slowly asked him, "How do I usually conceal myself, little brother?"

Inuyasha seemed to realize that and chuckled, "Oh, yeah... but wait... why am I receiving this now? You said that people usually asked it at birth and I could have avoided this hideous hat months ago!" he cried.

Sesshomaru looked as usual unfazed "This is an exception, Inuyasha. I will retrieve this ring by the end of the day and give it back to the rightful owner," he explained. Technically, he was the rightful owner, just not yet.

Inuyasha wore the ring and went to look himself into the mirror. If he looked at his hands, he could still see his claws and with his tongue, he felt his fangs, but when he looked into the mirror, no claws, no fangs, no ears were there. Instead, the man in the mirror had a pair of human ears but if someone would have tried to touch them, nothing would have been found at the sides of his head. "Wow," he murmured, "I don't feel anything different."

And I felt nothing the moment I wore the ring.

"It's just natural, Inuyasha. This way you can still have your senses but appear as a human," Sesshomaru stated.

"That's cool! I wish I could have had something like this when I was a pup, maybe even change the colour of my hair. It could have been handy and spare me a lot of trouble and beatings," he pondered with nonchalance and lightness.

He didn't notice Sesshomaru looking ashamed for the first time in his life. By the time he felt a light pressure on his shoulder, it was too late. He looked at his older brother through the mirror and was surprised by the regret he could read in his eyes.

"Brother..." Sesshomaru tried to say but Inuyasha interrupted him, turning and holding a hand in front of him.

"No, don't say anything. It doesn't matter anymore, I'm not that pup, that hanyou anymore... I'm getting married, am I not? I have a mate and a son, a place in a village, friends. If things had been different I probably would never have met Kagome. Maybe it was better this way, I'd do it all over again just to have the chance to meet her," he said genuinely smiling.

It was true, life had been hard for him. As a pup, he had missed his mother too much and wished to found a place to call his own. He had known loneliness, fear and hunger. But Kagome had been healing his wounds from the moment she had broken his seal and the process had been so natural Inuyasha hadn't known until he was a completely different person. He knew this Sesshomaru had had centuries to atone his faults.

Sesshomaru nodded, remaining silent, realizing that the topic was closed. Inuyasha didn't thank him for the ring of the other things he had helped them through knowing that it would have probably offended Sesshomaru. It was another way his brother was trying to express his regret and sorrow for what had happened centuries ago for him. Maybe, Inuyasha pondered, their relationship in this era was better, as was expected from two brothers. Maybe, he thought again, throughout the centuries they would grow closer. And maybe, just maybe, he could start forgiving him.

"Very well, I think we can start dressing you both," Sesshomaru finally said, he was already dressed up and had brought Inuyasha and Muteki's clothes. "I am sure you still need help with this kind of clothes."

"Keh" was Inuyasha's only answer before following his mother to Sota's room, where the kid was already dressing himself.

In their room, Kagome was surrounded by squealing girls and was hoping not to get a headache before the ceremony itself. Besides the woman who currently doing her hair and make-up, the room was currently occupied by three schoolgirls, Rin, her mother and Sesshomaru's mother who had brought her something else.

The women were currently gazing at a couple of kanzashi and comb, both in gold and red that looked really ancient and expensive. "These also belonged to Izayoi-hime. They probably belonged to her mother and her family before her, since there is no sign that Toga could have commissioned them for her. I had them restored by Totosai, he has also strengthened them, that's why I didn't bring them last week when I brought you her dress," Kimi explained. "They go with the dress, but you can wear them for the ceremony too since your mother dress is a simple white."

"They are beautiful, thank you again, Kimi," Kagome exclaimed stunned.

Eri, Yuka and Ayumi, who still had to see her Uchikake, were more shocked than her. "Who was this Izayoi-hime? Was she a real princess?" Eri asked bewildered, the pair seemed too important to belong to a normal woman.

"You could say it, young girl," Kimi answered her. "Inuyasha's mother was of very noble origin. But just wait to see her Uchikake, you won't believe your eyes," she chuckled.

"You mean, you are not his mother?" Yuka asked befuddled.

"But you have the same hair and eyes; he said it was a family trait!" Ayumi continued for her.

"Ah, yes, yes, Inuyasha had indeed taken more after Toga than his mother," Kimi commented, "your fiancé reminded me of him when we married, so young," she told Kagome lost in memories. "But, anyway, young girls, I am not Inuyasha's mother, just his brother's," she answered their questions, "I was his father's first wife."

They gaped, then suddenly remembered they were there for another reason and started fussing about Kagome again; the stylist was already adjusting the kanzashi and comb in her hair.

"I can't wait to see you Uchikake now, Kagome, I'm sure you'll look fabulous, you are already beautiful like this," Yuka cooed. Kaori, who was next to her daughter, chuckled at her giddiness.

It was already midday when Kagome emerged from her room and Inuyasha was already waiting for her in his dark wedding kimono. Her kimono was completely white and the small white hood hid part of her face, he was still able to see her smile on her red painted lips. Side by side they started their procession toward the haiden, followed by their family, and bowed when they reached the tori gates and then again when they entered the room. Inuyasha had never entered the Higurashi Shrine but he could tell now that it was bigger than the one in the village or the other he had passed by.

When they reached the altar where the priest, with the two mikos at his sides, were already settled, Kagome and Inuyasha sat on two cushions. Kaori with her family took a seat next to Kagome, Sesshomaru, Shippo and their families next to Inuyasha; Muteki was currently with his brother.

To Inuyasha's relief, the ceremony went rather smoothly. First, the priest purified the shrine and then invoked the kami, asking for their benevolence towards the couple, then Inuyasha and Kagome exchanged the sake three times, each sip reflecting an oath. Finally, he read the vows and both of them made their offerings to the kami along with the priest.

In a blink of an eye, the ceremony was finished and Inuyasha and Kagome were married. He contained his sigh of relief, the whole thing had put so much pressure on him that he suddenly felt weightless. But despite everything, he felt happier than ever and seeing his mate like this, he suddenly realized why she had wanted all of this. Her mother and grandfather were crying happy tears as they left the shrine and, in all honesty, Inuyasha would have never denied them something like this, considering that he was going to bring Kagome away from them.

"You look so beautiful, Kagome," Inuyasha whispered, lightly touching her cheek with his knuckles. She giggled and then winked "Just wait. If you think I am beautiful now you're not gonna believe your eyes when you see me in the other dress."

"It means you will be the most beautiful bride of all the times, you are already incomparable right now."

Her cheeks reddened and Kagome kissed him despite the lipstick. "Thank you, koi. Now we're gonna take some pictures, before and after we change our dresses. I wanted to take some next to the Goshinboku too, come."

In the next couple of hours, Inuyasha thought they really were trying to test his patience. They had taken millions of pictures and they still weren't satisfied. Firstly, some of the couple alone standing in several places, different lights and poses. Then they had decided that it was time Muteki reached his parents - still pretending he was their little nephew - and they repeated the whole process. When it was the turn of Kagome's family, poses and places had to be changed because they were now in the need of more space. Of course, the same thing could be said when they had to take the photos with Shippo or Sesshomaru, or worst when they wanted to take a picture together. It was endless pain for him, especially because they were forcing him to smile every time and he felt his jaw was going to fall.

At one point, when Eri, Yuka and Ayumi were inside, Shippo had the brilliant idea to transform into his younger self and Kagome had squealed happily and required to take another bunch of photos with him as a kit. Shippo wasn't complaining either, that was all part of his evil plan. Inuyasha had taken his revenge thumping him hard on the head, claiming that it was only fair if he was going to pretend he was still young. Sota had managed to immortalize the precise moment and Inuyasha had declared this was going to be his favourite picture of the wedding.

When her three friends decided it was their turn, Inuyasha thought he could actually die. Wasn't better to slay demons?

Then everything was repeated when they changed their dresses. Nibori and Shippo had surely their fun laughing at him, the first one never missing one of his bored expression or sighs, he had brought his own camera for that.

Sometimes Inuyasha really had troubles believing he was Sesshomaru's son.

When they arrived at the hotel, the guests were already there and Kagome discovered that the list had incredibly increased since the last time she had read it. Apparently, her grandfather had taken the liberty to invite some of his friends and some of her father's old friends and colleagues she didn't see since his funeral.

"Grandpa!" Kagome hissed, "Was that necessary?"

Mr. Higurashi straightened his back and nodded, "Of course! I had to show my friends and your father's friends how beautiful you are today!" Then he started crying again, happy and sad cries, Kagome felt at loss and looked at her mother for help, who came closer.

"Father, come on, this is a joyful occasion," Kaori soothed him.

"She is so beautiful," more cries, "My Daichi would have been so proud."

Kaori patted his shoulder, "Yes, yes, he would. He would have been so happy for his daughter." Her mother's eyes welled up too. Kagome gaped at her... She should have helped her and was now crying along with her grampa.

"What's going on, Kagome? Why are they crying?" Inuyasha asked bewildered coming behind her with Sesshomaru.

"I don't know! I asked Gramps why he invited my dad's old colleagues and friends and he started crying, I asked mom for help and then she started crying too! I don't know what to do!" she came closer to her mother, "Mom! Come on, don't cry, I'm sure dad is happy right now, he wouldn't want you both to cry for him!"

Her mother wiped her tears with a handkerchief and agreed with her, finally managing to make her gramps stop.

"Perfect, now that we're good, can we go inside? I am sure everyone is waiting for us," Kagome clapped her hands excitedly, trying not to damp the good mood and definitely trying not to think about the people who couldn't be here today or she would have started the waterfall too soon.

The room was huge and full, making Inuyasha grimace because he didn't recognize the majority of them. Kagome assured him that she didn't recognize half of it either. All the eyes were on them and as soon as they stepped inside cries of jubilation filled the room, many people approached to congratulate them and comment on how beautiful they were. Before they could even reach their table, they had already been separated and while an old man managed to bring Inuyasha away, he sent her a look of desperation.

"Kagome! Kagome! There you are!" she heard shouting behind her, she saw Eri, Ayumi and Yuka coming towards her along with Kanako and Sayuri.

"See? What have I told you? This kimono is wonderful!" Eri exclaimed with dreamy eyes.

"I hope my wedding kimono will be equally beautiful" Yuka commented.

"You don't even have a boyfriend, Yuka," Ayumi noted.

"Yeah, yeah, but it's nice to dream. Besides, not everyone is willing to marry so young like our Kagome-chan here."

They all nodded.

"Kagome, where did you find something so magnificent?" Kanako asked, "You are a sight right now."

Kagome became an interesting shade of red and was about to answer when a voice behind her interrupted her. "I'll be damned if that is not the same kimono Izayoi-hime wore on her wedding day," the old man said. Kagome turned and found herself face to face with no other than a seemingly human Totasai.

"Totosai?" she asked aghast.

"Of course, young girl, who did you think I was? I am always the same," he nodded stroking his goatee. It was the first time Kagome saw him without his hammer or his cow. "Now, answer my question." The girls behind her were equally bewildered.

"Uh, yes, this was Inuyasha's mother's old wedding kimono," Kagome explained.

"Ah, you look as beautiful as she was, Kagome. I remember well, it had been centuries, but I remember well the princess and the master marrying," he stroked his chin again and then continued, "And how did you get it? I thought it had been lost after the princess' death." He narrowed her eyes at her.

Kagome was getting uncomfortable, he was starting to talk too much and she didn't know how to answer. Sesshomaru luckily came to her aid along with Nibori.

"Totosai," he greeted him.

"Ah, Sesshomaru, you're here too," the old youkai commented. Then looked at Nibori and asked, "And who are you?"

"That's my son Totosai," Sesshomaru answered, already annoyed by the senile old demon.

"Your son? How long have you been having a son? I thought that only your brother had children of his own. By the way, where is that hothead now?"

"Come, Totosai, let's the girls have their fun." Sesshomaru brought him away to Kagome's relief before he could say too much. She sighed and then turned to the girls again.

"He's always been like this, a little bit senile," she tried to explain, laughing nervously.

"We noticed," Kanako commented, "he said it had been centuries since the time he went to that marriage. I still have to understand what marriage by the way." She shrugged.

Kagome internally sighed, thinking about how the part about the centuries was actually the only sane thing of Totosai's insane speech.

Inuyasha, on the opposite side of the room, wasn't having better luck. He had found that the old geezer who had separated him from Kagome was a friend of her grandfather and had brought him and Shippo - Inuyasha had dragged the fox demon with him - to a table full of other old geezers, including Mr. Higurashi.

"Ichiro," the old man had exclaimed "it seems you have acquired a fine grandson here. He doesn't seem bad," he commented, testing his biceps. "He seems strong too. Good, good. In my times..." he started saying, not knowing that Inuyasha was not only older than him but also came from a previous era of the one in which he had been born, "you needed to be strong, young boy, people had to make sacrifices. You're lucky, young man," he concluded.

Shippo was trying to contain both Inuyasha's anger and his laughter. It was too funny.

"Why did you bleach your hair, young man?" another old fool asked.

"It's his natural hair," interjected Mr. Higurashi.

"Really?" the first geezer asked and then patted his shoulder, pityingly. "I'm sorry kid, I got my white hair when I was so much older, but to be so young and already have a head full of white hair." He shook his head and patted him again.

At that point, Shippo didn't last anymore and burst out laughing.

"You should consider trimming your nails too, young man," the second fool added, "they seem a bit sharp, you could hurt someone."

The conversation went on like this, with Shippo laughing his ass off and Inuyasha's vein ready to pop up.

Shortly after, much to Inuyasha's relief, they started serving dinner and the couple could be reunited. The whole reception turned out well, Rin and Kaori had done a wonderful job and Kagome thought she had to thank both of them later. They survived all the questions noisy distant parents and curious old family friends asked them, answering everyone in the same way since the questions were all the same 'How did you meet?' 'Why marrying so young?' 'Are you pregnant?' 'Who is your father, young man?'

After a while, they were saved by Koga and Ayame family that came to congratulate them and finally introduce the rest of their daughters. Inuyasha was glad he was unable to sniff their wolfy stink with the concealments charms, but he had to admit the couple did have beautiful daughters.

They surely took after their mother, he had commented, making each of Koga's child laugh.

Kagome had panicked a bit when she had heard her son's cries among the crows. Muteki had stayed with her mother or Sesshomaru until now, but when she finally reached the cries, he found him almost hysterical and once Muteki saw her, he jumped in her arms and didn't want to let her ago anymore. Luckily, he hadn't shouted the word "Mom" or she would have had to explain a few things.

Apparently, some old women had approached him starting to say how cute he was and trying to pinch his cheeks. Sesshomaru had swiftly avoided that but the damage was already done and he couldn't quiet down his nephew. Kagome brought him to her table and didn't let him leave her side, to whoever asked them about Muteki, they answered he was Inuyasha's nephew and he was close to them. It made her wonder if people were really blind because no one noticed how her son looked like her, but maybe they were blinded by his unnatural white hair and brilliant golden eyes.

The food was the best Inuyasha had ever had and Kagome had explained to him that both Rin and her mother had tried to think about everything he could love, from the best ramen and steaks to sweet dumplings, sushi and other plates Inuyasha had previously appreciated. He seemed to be in heaven as he ate and she giggled, teasing him a little about his expressions. He turned to her, she was currently trying to feed Muteki a little bit of rice and he thought again that she was the most beautiful woman that he had ever seen, the most beautiful thing ever happened to him, the second being the pup in her arms.

"What?" he asked.

"You're funny," Kagome answered, giggling again.

He leaned towards her and kissed her sweetly; most of the women in the room cooed at the sight and imagined a future son of them replacing the baby currently being held by Kagome.

Shortly after, someone was heard clearing his voice and asking for silence. Her grandfather had founded a microphone and was going to speak in front of all these people. Kagome groaned, this was the moment she was dreading more, she just hoped no one said something embarrassing.

"What is he doing?" Inuyasha whispered in her ear.

"Oh, I forgot to explain to you, koi, I am sorry. Usually at the end of the reception friends and parents of the couple like to make little speeches to congratulate them or remember something," she explained and saw Inuyasha turning suddenly ashen. "What?"

"Everyone?" he asked, she nodded. He turned to glare at Koga who was smirking at him, obviously planning something.

Don't you dare, he mouthed. He just hoped Ayame could stop him in time.

"Good evening to everyone. I am so glad you all came to grace us with your presence on this wonderful day," her grandfather started to say. "My beautiful granddaughter got married today. I've known Inuyasha for quite some years now and even if sometimes we still don't get along well, I couldn't wish someone better for her. They love each other deeply and they always had been there for each other, in the good and the bad. I'm sure it will be like this even now that Kagome will leave us and go on her way."

He wiped some tears and continued, "I'm sure that my son, had he been still between us, would have loved Inuyasha as if he was his own." He raised his flute and finished his toast. Kagome was already crying at that and Inuyasha was moved by the man's words; it made him felt a little warmer on the inside knowing that her grandfather was that happy Kagome had married him. They had always had their bad moments and sometimes he had thought that he regretted Kagome's going down the well the first time.

After her grandfather's toast, others followed. Sota was the next, he told some amusing stories about the young couple, such as when they were still unable to declare their love for each other or when Inuyasha used to come running home just because his sister was sick. In the end, he declared that he couldn't be more than happy, that Inuyasha was the big brother he had always longed for and that he hoped to be able to spend much more time with them. Her school friends followed, her mother too and Ayame managed to come to his aid stealing the mike from Koga's hands and making a toast in his place.

Inuyasha thought they had finally finished and he could now taste the big cake he was eyeing since the beginning of the dinner, but then saw Sesshomaru raising from his seat and requesting the microphone. He gulped, what did he want to say? He thought he had said everything this morning.

"Ladies and gentlemen," the dai-youkai greeted. This was something he would never have thought he could do, speaking at a wedding? impossible! Speaking at his brother's wedding? Even more impossible. "Some of you might already know me, but I'm here today as Inuyasha's older brother and I think is my duty to make a toast to both Inuyasha and Kagome. Firstly, I would like to give my thanks to Kagome, who without realizing it has profoundly changed my life." He looked at her straight in the eyes and then inclined his head slightly. "When I met her the first time, there was no love lost between my brother and me and I remember being a lot rude with her just because she was in his company. I am a lot older than Inuyasha and I always resented him because he was the son of my father's second marriage," Rin squeezed his hand encouragingly, "but Kagome is part of the reason I am here now, at their marriage. She made it possible for us to reconcile and I will be always grateful for the possibility you both gave to me. I know your life will be full of love and happiness, just as you deserved." He sat down again and they heard a burst of applause.

Both Inuyasha and Kagome were stunned, but Kagome knew what the real meaning of his speech was. He wasn't just thanking her, he was acknowledging all that she had done for him, convincing Inuyasha to come to West, opening his heart for forgiveness and letting him be a part of their life. Maybe he was right, she had really changed his life irrevocably and she didn't even know. One thing was sure, they would have never heard a speech like that coming from Sesshomaru's lips again, but she was grateful and told him that.

Inuyasha was currently speechless next to her, but Kagome knew he was just as grateful and that Sesshomaru would have known. Today was just the first day of the life Sesshomaru had so warmly spoken about and she couldn't wait to see what was waiting for them, but especially being able to witness the change that she could now see in the demon in front of her. Knowing that they were part of that change, knowing that they will likely form a bond like the one she had with Sango and Miroku touched her and let her know that they would never be alone again, Inuyasha would never stand alone again.

People keep toasting and all these warm words left him speechless, again, how was that even possible? How had everything come to this? Had Kagome made all of this possible? Yes, she had and more than once, while people congratulated them, he found himself kissing her fiercely and proudly. She was his, she was going to be next to him for the rest of his life and he would have done anything to make sure that no one took her away from him.

Last but not least, Shippo stood up to be the last one to offer his congratulation and Inuyasha was afraid of what he was going to say because Kagome was already crying and he hadn't been able to stop the waterfall, the fox demon wouldn't have helped since he already had watery eyes too.

"It seems that I'll be the last one to speak since there doesn't seem to be one person left who hasn't spoken yet," Shippo started. People around him giggled, Koga started to protest but Ayame stopped him again. "It felt like I've been preparing this speech for centuries and I still don't know how to word everything I'm feeling now," he continued and Inuyasha hadn't any doubt at this point that Shippo had spent quite some time working on what he was going to say. He had thought that the little kit had long since passed the age of tears and sentimentalism.

"Officially, I am here as a part of Inuyasha's family, but what the majority of you don't know is I'm part of Kagome's family as well. Kagome, Inuyasha, we've been through so much that at times it's difficult to discern between the tears, the laughs, the fatigue or relief. But I like to think I remember everything that really matters, I remember the fateful day I met you and when I look back I don't think about my father dying anymore, but about Kagome reaching out to me with her hand. I remember the first time you hug me, the first prank I played on Inuyasha," everyone laughed at that, "when we met Miroku and Sango, the first time I called you stupid because you weren't honest with Kagome about your feelings. I remember being a big family. The list may never end. I've been there next to you literally for everything so it just naturally I'm here now, finally." He looked straight at Inuyasha and smirked because he knew he had got on his nerves in these last days. "I'm not thanking you for letting me be part of this day, but I'm thanking you for everything that is gonna come because I know you'll be still here next to me."

Shippo's speech too was full of reference of what was to come and Kagome couldn't help but keep crying thinking about the man that was now talking to her, a man who was still a little kit not even able to fill her arms, someone who still sat easily on her shoulder.

Since he noticed his mate unable to speak, Inuyasha finally stood up and cleared his throat, "I know you'll always be in the way, runt. I can't even think about my life without hearing you whining about something, but I thank you. I thank everyone who came here to wish us a good life, everyone who spent a word right now and that had had a part in our life." He paused, then turned to Koga and said, "This may seem strange, but... yes, even you mangy wolf!" he added chuckling.

"Back to you mutt," was his response, laughing wholeheartedly and raising his flute in response.

After that Inuyasha had sat down again, having already said much more words than he normally would have said and let Kagome thank their guest again when the waterfalls finally stopped or maybe she had run out of tears, this one was likely the real reason.

When the reception was finally concluded and almost everyone had left, Rin and Sesshomaru approached them. She was giddier than usual, which worried Inuyasha, and Sesshomaru seemed to be back to being the usual ice mask.

"Oh, Kagome! You were so beautiful and everything went perfectly. I'm so happy right now," Rin told them with dreamy eyes. "I'm so sad everything is finished. But..." she retrieved something from her purse and said, "... we have one last gift for you."

She gave them a white envelope within which they found two train tickets to Kyoto and a reservation in a Ryokan that could be better suited to Inuyasha's liking instead of a five-stars hotel. "You didn't have your honeymoon the first time, so we thought we could fix that now. We're gonna look after Muteki, we already talked to him, he didn't even cry he just looked at me in that special way of his and said 'Okeii'. Don't worry about school either, it's just gonna be a couple of days," Rin continued.

"Rin! That's fantastic! But it's said here that we should leave in thirty minutes. How?" At that moment her mother and brother appeared beside them, each of them with a suitcase, Kagome imagined they contained everything they do for their honeymoon. "Thank you! Thank you!" Kagome hugged her mother and Rin tightly, extremely excited about the honeymoon she thought she couldn't have for several reasons.

Meantime Inuyasha was still trying to understand the meaning of everything that was happening under his eyes. "What's a honeymoon?" he asked when silence finally had settled. Kagome turned to him, laughed and then jumped in his arms "It means we're gonna leave for a couple of days and do whatever we want," she explained before kissing him.

"Whatever? hm? No kids either?" she shook her head and he smirked deviously. "I think I'm gonna like this honeymoon, koi."

A/N: How was it? I've been thinking about this part since the beginning of this story and I tried to do my best so I'll appreciate any feedback!
