Hello everybody Zelda777 here with another chapter of The Eternal Love of Twilight. I hope you all are enjoying the story so far. I'm sorry for not publishing often. I have been working a lot lately so I will try to write as often as I can. So enjoy.

Midna woke up before Link. So she got up to check on Twila.

I hope she's alright. Midna thought as she opened the door to her room. Oh yeah, Twila starts with her tutor today.

"Twila, time to get up."

Twila woke up and looked at her mother. "Why do I have to get up so early."

"You start with your tutor today," Midna replied.

Twila smiled. "Yay, I couldn't wait until I get to go to school."

"Come on, I will take you to your tutor."

"Wait where's daddy at," Twila asked? "I want to tell him goodbye."

Midna looked at her. "You really love your daddy don't you?"

Twila nodded her head. "Yeah, I do."

"Why do you love him?"

"It's just that he is a really cool dad to have."

"Oh, you really think I'm cool." Link said behind them.

They both jumped and turned around.

Midna glared at him. "How long have you been standing there?"

"For about 15 minutes." Link replied. "Mainly hiding in the shadows."

"So you heard the entire conversation," Twila asked.

Link nodded his head. "Yeah, pretty much."

Twila hugged Link. "I love you, daddy."

"I love you too my little girl." Link replied. "Have fun with your tutor. Daddy will pick you up this afternoon after I get done with the work that I have to do."

"Okay."

Once Twila walked into the room Midna turned to Link. "I'm sorry for asking Twila why she love's you."

"No it's alright I was actually wondering the same thing."

"Really," Midna asked unsure if she heard right.

Link nodded his head. "Of course I know I look different but I wasn't sure if it bothered her."

At that moment Chief Elder Vegt appeared.

"Your Majesties, there is someone who claims to be the prince of the Zora's but I'm not sure what the Zora's are supposed to look like."

Link looked to Midna and she nodded her head.

"We're on our way to the throne room so would you bring him there." Link asked.

Chief Elder Vegt bowed and left.

"Let's get to the throne room, my queen." Link said lovingly.

"Of course my King."

Link and Midna walked hand-in-hand all the way to the throne room. Once they got there they sat on their thrones. As they sat down the guard walked in with the Zora.

Midna looked at the guard. "Why is he bound?"

"You see it is for the protection of the people of twilight and your safety as well." The guard replied.

"Who are you?" Link asked, "What is your name?"

The Zora bowed. "Your Majesties, I am Prince Hakem the son of King Hiri of the Zora."

"You understand why we brought you in here bound." Link asked.

Prince Hakem nodded his head. "Of course it is for the protection of the royal family."

Midna looked to Link and he nodded. "Tark you may unbind him but stay close to him."

Tark nodded as he took off the bonds. Prince Hakem rubbed his scaly wrists.

"What seems to be the problem, Prince Hakem?" Midna asked.

"Nothing is wrong," Prince Hakem replied. "My father just sent me to see what your response to the terms of the alliance."

"Really," Link asked. "I was about to send a letter to your father about the matter."

Prince Hakem looked to Link. "If I may, I will take back your response to my father."

Link nodded his head. "Of course you may. Tell him that we accept the terms of the alliance."

Prince Hakem nodded his head and was about to leave.

"Tark send two of your troops to escort the prince back to his homeland."

Tark bowed and nodded. "Yes, your majesty right away."

Tark left with the Zora prince.

"Well, that saves me some time." Link said once everyone left except for Midna.

"I didn't expect King Hiri to send his son to us," Midna replied.

Link shook his head. "Me either."

Meanwhile In Zora's Domain

"Your Majesty, Two guards have returned with Prince Hakem." The guard said.

"Send them in," King Hiri demanded.

The guard nodded and the guards walked in with Prince Hakem.

"Father, King Link, and the Twili people accepted the terms of the alliance."

"Is this the royal guard?"

Prince Hakem nodded his head. "Yes, King Link sent them to escort me back home."

King Hiri looked to the guards. "Thank you for escorting my son home."

The guards nodded their heads. "Just following our orders."

Once they left King Hiri noticed his son's wrists. He asked him about it.

"What happened to your wrists?"

"When I got to the palace the guards put me in chains until the King could see me."

"Why did they do that?"

"They said it was for the protection of their King."

"Oh, they were just protecting their rulers." King Hiri finally said. "For him being a light dweller they are surely protective of him."

"I think that he is also pretty wise." Prince Hakem added.

Back in the Twili Palace

Link was waiting for Twila to get out of her tutoring so he could take her with him to meet Midna for dinner.

I hope she didn't give her a hard time. Link thought as the door opened and his daughter walked out.

"Hi, daddy," Twila said giving him a big hug.

"How was class?" Link asked.

"It was great, Ms. Avra taught me about the sacred beast of twilight," Twila replied.

"Oh, really."

Twila nodded her head. "Yeah, she told me that when Zant was in power the sacred beast with the help of a cursed Twili stopped Zant."

"Do you know who those two are?" Link asked.

Twila shook her head. "No, she didn't tell me that yet."

Link nodded his head. So she doesn't remember that I carried her on my back in the realm of light when she was tired.

"But she said she would get to it eventually."

"What do you think of those two?" Link asked curiously.

"I think they were probably a great team and were pretty cool too."

"That's nice."

They walked in silence for a little bit when Twila looked around and saw that they weren't heading back to the royal chambers.

"Where are we going?" Twila asked.

"I can't tell you." Link answered.

"Why can't ye tell me?"

"I just can't."

"Please can you tell me?"

"I said no."

"Please," Twila begged.

"I'm not going to tell you again." Link replied. "I told you no."

"Okay," Twila said clearly giving up.

He has never told me no. She thought.

Once they made it to the Royal kitchen. Midna was waiting for them. Midna walked to Link and whispered. "Did you tell her?"

Link shook his head. They sat down together and Zert walked up to them and bowed.

"Hello, Your Majesties and your highness," Zert said. "What can I get for you today."

"I'd like the usual." Link said."

"Me too," Twila said. "What about you mommy."

"I actually don't know what I want just yet."

"How about you get her this right here." Link suggested to Zert.

"Of course your majesty I will take this to the kitchen and get your food to you as soon as possible."

"Don't worry we're not in a rush," Midna said back.

Once Zert left Midna turned to Twila. "So how did you like your tutor?"

"She was pretty nice," Twila replied. "Why do you ask?"

"Well here is something you don't know about her." Midna said, "She was my tutor when I was your age."

Twila looked at her shocked. "Really."

Midna nodded her head. "Yes, but what she is teaching you now is a little bit different than what I learned about because there is a lot more history that happened before you were born but after I graduated."

"Like the sacred beast and the cursed twili," Twila asked.

Midna looked to Link and her eyes said it all.

Link shook his head and told her she didn't know that it was them who were the sacred beast and the cursed twili. (A/N Those of you who don't know Link and Midna can communicate with each other without speaking when they want to.)

Valt walked up to the table and bowed carefully trying not to drop the food. "Your majesties I brought your food."

Valt set the food on the table and looked to Twila. "Your highness you've gotten bigger since I last saw you."

"I'm five years old now," Twila replied.

"Really, that's pretty young for a twili."

Link knew what Valt was implying. The Twili can live for centuries at a time.

"Time sure does fly doesn't it your majesties."

Link and Midna both nodded their heads. "Yeah, it feels like yesterday that she was only two years old."

"Well, I will see all of you later," Valt said as he bowed.

Once he was gone, Midna looked at her food and noticed it was the only one covering it.

"Did you tell him to cover my food up?" Midna asked Link.

Link shook his head. "No, he probably did it on his own."

"What did you tell Zert to get me?"

"I told him to tell Valt to surprise you with one of his new dishes he gave me during one of my meetings."

Midna took the lid off and noticed that it looked like something she hasn't even seen.

"Is it any good?" Midna asked.

"Well it tasted really great to me and I knew that you would like it too." Link replied, "Just try it."

Midna picked up her fork and cut a piece off and took a bite of it. She chewed it for a little bit and her eyes started sparkling.

"Man this is very good." Midna finally said just before she put another bite in her mouth.

"Can I try a bite?" Twila asked.

Midna gave Twila a bite but she spits it out really quick

"That is way too spicy for me," Twila said.

"I should have warned you." Link said to Twila, "But, I knew that you would keep on bugging me until I let you try a bite."

Twila just looked down. Midna looked to Link coldly. Once they were done with their meal Link called the waiter.

"Would you bring in what I asked you to prepare?"

Zert nodded and bowed. Once he left he looked to Twila.

"Twila there is something me and Midna have to tell you." Link started, "It's something very special to me and Midna both."

"What is it? What is it?" Twila asked.

"Well, first things first, happy birthday." Link answered as Zert placed the cake on the table.

Twila squealed. "I thought you forgot about my birthday."

"We would never forget your birthday." Midna said, "Secondly, we want to let you know that you are going to have a baby brother."

"What really?" Twila asked after she stuffed her mouth full of cake.

"Don't speak with your mouthful." Midna scolded. "You need to eat with more decorum."

"Your mother is right Twila." Link added, "You are a princess and you need to show the people that you are royalty."

Twila nodded her head and took a smaller bite of cake.

"Now, that's better." Link said.

"What do you think about having a baby brother?" Midna asked.

"I think that it would be fun to have a baby brother," Twila replied.

"That's good to hear," Link said. "You will have a lot more responsibilities as an older sister."

"That's fine with me."

"Well, I think it's getting late." Link said, "You need to go to bed early so you would get up for your tutoring."

Link and Midna got up and pushed their chairs in and Twila did the same. Once they finished that they left to go to the royal chambers. First, they took Twila to her room and put her to bed.

"Good night my little princess," Link said.

"Good night dad."

Twila turned over and fell straight to sleep. Link turned off the light and shut the door.

Man, she must have been exhausted. Link thought as he made his way to his and Midna's bedroom.

"How is she doing?" Midna asked.

"She fell straight to sleep." Link replied.

"That's good."

"I hope we don't have any problems with our new son as we did with Twila."

Midna looked at him. "What do you mean?"

"That we don't lose him like we did Twila."

"Oh, now I see what you are saying."

Once Link was changed into his night robes he and Midna crawled into bed and Link fell straight to sleep. Midna on the other hand couldn't sleep.

I'm so happy that Link and I are married. Midna thought as she was lying down trying to sleep. Tomorrow is our 15th anniversary.

Midna started thinking about what she would have done if she wasn't able to Marry Link. Well, that is until she fell asleep.

The Next Morning

Link woke up before Midna. So he got up and started his meditation. Then all of a sudden Link felt himself teleport. When it was finished he saw himself back in the Sacred Realm where the Goddesses of Hyrule were sitting before him

"Link, Hero of Twilight, also the King Of Twilight," Din said.

Link looked at them and was confused.

"What am I doing here?" Link asked.

"We have called you here to let you know that the Mayor of Ordana Bo has passed away and Ilia wants you to speak at his funeral," Nayru replied.

"I'm not sure if I can make it because as you know I am the King of Twilight." Link said, "I have responsibilities with my Kingdom."

Farore looked at him. "We know, but if you change your mind I'd like to give you a magic spell."

Link felt a radiance flowing throughout his body. Once that was complete he looked at them confused.

"What happened to me?"

"The spell that I just gave you allows you to create a portal directly to Hyrule." Farore replied, "You and your family are the only ones that can go through the portal."

"I will ask the Elders if I can go to the Realm of Light to attend the funeral." Link said as the vision faded away.

Once he was back in the Twilight realm he saw Midna with him.

"What's the matter, love?" Midna asked.

"Do you remember Bo?"

Midna nodded her head. "Yeah, what about him?"

"He passed away last night and Ilia wants me to speak at his funeral."

"How do you know this?" Midna asked.

"When I was meditating the Goddesses of Hyrule told me about it," Link replied. "I told them that I have responsibilities here."

"Then what did they say?"

"They gave me a magic spell that will allow me to create a portal to the Realm of Light."

Midna looked at him. "That kind of magic spell will be dangerous if someone forces you to open it to attack Hyrule."

Link shook his head. "They also told me that only me and my family will be able to walk through the portal."

Link and Midna walked together to Twila's room. Once they got there Link opened the door and Twila was already up and getting ready for her tutoring.

"How long have you been up?" Midna asked.

"Not long," Twila replied. "I'm really excited to see my tutor again."

"Well, what are you waiting for." Link said, "Let's get going."

Twila ran and grabbed Link's hand. Link, Midna, and Twila walked together all the way to Avra's room. Once they got there, Link knocked on the door. Avra opened the door.

"Oh, Your Majesties, you are here early," Avra said bowing.

"I'm really sorry, but Twila couldn't wait to start her tutoring," Midna replied.

"That's alright."

"What are we going to learn about today, Ms. Avra?" Twila asked as they closed the door.

"Hey love," Link said. "Were you ever that excited to go to your tutoring lessons?"

Midna shook her head. "No, because I hated to go to tutoring."

"Why?"

"Because I was always trying to cause trouble," Midna replied mischievously. "But my dad forced me to go."

"So you were pretty much a problem child."

Midna nodded her head. "Yeah, you could say that."

Link and Midna both walked in silence for a while. When Midna spoke first.

"So are you going to ask the elders?" Midna asked.

Link nodded his head. "Yeah, but I'm thinking that I should go alone."

"What, why?"

"Twila probably wouldn't want to miss her tutoring," Link replied.

"Yeah, that's true," Midna said.

Chief Vegt walked into the throne room just as Link and Midna both sat down.

"Ah, Chief Vegt there is something I would like to discuss with you." Link said.

Chief Vegt bowed. "Of course your majesty."

"I need to go back to the realm of light."

"Why?"

"The mayor of Ordana passed and his daughter whom I am friends with would like me to speak at his funeral." Link replied.

"Are all three of you going?"

Link shook his head. "No, not this time."

"That's okay with me but after the funeral, you should come back."

"Thank you, Vegt."

"If you don't mind my asking your majesty, but when are you leaving," Vegt asked.

"I'm leaving right now." Link replied.

Vegt bowed and left.

"Midna if Twila asks where I am tell her I'm on a business run."

Midna nodded her head. "Of course, you don't want her to know that you are going to go to a funeral."

"Yes, exactly."

Link concentrated and opened the portal to the realm of light. Once he went through Midna watched him until the portal disappeared.

Please be safe. Midna thought

In Hyrule

Link was overwhelmed with the brightness of the sun that he had to cover his eyes until he grew accustomed to the light.

Man, I am so used to the twilight realm that I couldn't see in the realm of light. Link thought as he made his way across the bridge the leads to Ordon Village. Once he walked into Ordon village and an arrow came straight at him. Link waved his hand to the side and the arrow fell to the ground. Two guards walked to him and he knew who they were.

"Long time no see Rusl and Talo." Link said taking off his mask.

Rusl was glad that Link came.

"Link you're here," Rusl said.

"Yes, I am here for the funeral."

Talo looked to Link.

"Where have you been Link?" Talo asked.

"I have been in the twilight realm."

"Why have you been there when they attacked us."

"I am King of the Twilight Realm."

"So you are a traitor."

"Leave him alone Talo." Rusl interrupted.

Talo just lowered his head. "Nobody would leave their own home just to live in a land they haven't even known until they experience it."

All three of them walked in silence all the way to Ordon village. Once they arrived Ilia saw Link and ran to him. She bowed.

"There's no need to bow because I am not King of this realm," Link said.

"But you are a King," Ilia replied. "I'm glad you could make it."

Talo shook his head at Ilia. "So you are alright with him being King of the people who attacked us."

"What do you have against the Twili?" Ilia asked. "If you remember a Twili also helped Link defeat the ones who attacked us."

"How do you know that's true?"

"Because I have seen her."

Talo just shook his head and kept silent the rest of the time that Link was there.

Rusl looked to Link. "So where are your wife and daughter?"

"They stayed back because Twila has tutoring lessons." Link replied, "Plus, I don't think you know who will allow her to enter the village."

"Don't worry about Talo." Ilia said, "Ever since his mother passed and Malo moved to castle town he's been on edge."

"Oh, I didn't know that his mother passed away."

Link and Ilia walked in silence to the burial grounds. Once they arrived everyone in the village was waiting to see who the speaker was going to be. Rusl stepped up to the podium.

"First of all, I'd like to thank all of you for coming." Rusl started, "Today we will remember the life and legacy of Mayor Bo. Link the Hero of Twilight who is now the King of Twilight will give his story of Mayor Bo."

The crowd murmured under their breaths as Link walked up to the podium with his mask still on. Once he got to the podium he took off his mask which receded into his crown.

"Today we will remember Mayor Bo." Link started, "First of all, Mayor Bo was a kind and gentle person. When I didn't have a home he welcomed me into the village with open arms.

"Throughout his life, he built up this village into what you see today. I hope this village will find someone else whose heart is like Bo's. There will never be another Bo, but hopefully, there will be someone who will build upon what Bo has started."

Link stepped back from the podium. Rusl stepped back to the podium and cleared his throat.

"Thank you, Link for that story. Now let's proceed to the burial."

Everyone got up and the pallbearers grabbed the casket and they carried it to the gravesite. The residents of Ordon village followed behind the casket until they arrived at the site. Once the burial was complete Link and Ilia walked back to the village.

"Thank you for coming," Ilia said.

Link nodded his head. "No problem."

"Tell Midna I said hello."

"Okay, I will."

Link opened the portal to go back to the Twilight realm.

"Goodbye Ilia." Link said as the portal closed.

Once he got back to the palace he noticed that something wasn't right. There were Argoroks everywhere.

"Ah, the Light dweller returns back to his kingdom," A voice said.

"Who are you?" Link demanded.

"Come to the throne room and find out."
