A/N: How's it going everybody!

Here's Part II, and the tide changes.

Verdant Rain Moon, 1186
Garreg Mach Outskirts

The battle between the Student Army, and the now possessed-Imperial Army continued to rage on. As the battle went on, the tide of the battle was beginning to change sides.

At first, the Student Army was the first one to get the upper hand in the battle, thanks to their well-thought-out plan. As it continued, the tide slowly turned in favor of the possessed-Imperial Army, thanks to its reserve troops, as well as reinforcements, courtesy of Myson.

"Your late Myson…" Cornelia sighed, upon seeing the familiar insignia that adorned the uniform of Myson, and his men.

"I am not late." Myson sternly replied to the Gremory. "I take my time in gathering my men. Just be glad that they are charging without orders."

"They're blind followers anyway." Cornelia huffed, as she continued to observe the battle.

The Battlefield

"Reinforcements coming!" Ingrid called out, but there was something that she observed about the reinforcements. "Strange that they're not wearing the usual Imperial uniform. Could this be where Cornelia's true allegiance lies with?"

Deciding that there were more important things to deal with, Ingrid let out a small lighting spell from her hands. The lightning was meant to be a signal for a squadron of both Falcon Knights, and Wyvern Riders both armed with bows to fly on ahead. This squadron was meant to be sent in; incase reinforcements were to arrive to aid the Imperial Army.

As the squadron flew ahead, their arrow shots managed to take out a number of soldiers, including those who were charging ahead.

Cornelia's side

"Another reappearance?" Cornelia began. "I do hope that this Edelgard girl managed to prepare for such a task…"

"Indeed, she did." Hunter smiled grimacingly, before he turned to the Ballista squadron that was donated to the Empire. "Fire, now!"

The ballisticians obeyed, and quickly loaded the ammo, before aiming, and firing the siege weapons. The quick speed of the ballista meant that the flying squad had no time to react, and were quickly, and mercilessly shot down. Those who have survived, knew that they had to retreat, but even as they did, some of them were still shot down.

Seeing the results, Cornelia could only smile. 'Perhaps that girl was useful for something after all.'

The Battlefield

Seeing that their squadron was a short-lived success, and the charging reinforcements still greatly outnumbered them, Niya knew that they had to fall back.

"Everyone, fall back!" She called out loud, before the army began to retreat back beyond the Monastery.

Why were they retreating to an area beyond the Monastery you ask? Well, beyond the Monastery is a peculiar set of rock formations that stretched for miles. Unlike the rock formation that made up the arena, these rocks were mined for use within the Monastery, especially during the current situation, given the Monastery's state during the Empire's first invasion six years ago.

These rocks would help the Student Army split the forces apart, spreading them considerably so.

Cornelia's side

"They're retreating," Myson realized, before turning to his group of mages. "But not for long. All of you, cut out their escape!"

"With pleasure." One of the mages nodded, before he fetched a stone from his pouch, before tossing it into the air, his fellow mages doing the same.

"Now!" He ordered, before he, and his fellow mages shot a burst of flame towards the rocks. The rocks caught fire, and burned as they soared towards the air.

As soon as Myson gave the command, Hunter spoke up. "Perhaps we should join the fight?"

"I like the way you think." Cornelia smiled softly, before she turned to Myson. "Do you perhaps want to join in?"

"A chance to see those pitiful ones fall in person? I shall." Myson finished, with a sinister grin.

"Excellent." Hunter simply smiled, before he conjured up a sigil.

"What's that about?" Hapi questioned, seeing the blazes in the air.

Hapi's question would soon be answered as the flaming rocks disappeared for a while, before eventually descending down, the rocks getting bigger, coating the sky in a burning crimson, heating up the lands as they reached closer to the ground.

Now, the stones have become Meteor, a destructive, fire-based spell, that a very select few can naturally learn, let alone master. Professor Hanneman was one such individual who could learn the spell.

The Meteors finally collides to the ground, shaking the earth as its massive size penetrates into the ground, its flames roaring well beyond from its stony center, scorching anyone who dared go near it, which included a few unfortunate soldiers of the army who rushed ahead, horses rearing up in panic at the sight of such a blazing inferno.

With one plan brought to an abrupt halt, Niya turned back, to see that while she, her former students, and a good number of knights and soldiers have managed to hear her call, and rush back, a good number of soldiers and knights too occupied with the fight to turn and run, remained, one of which included the Seiros Captain, Everon.

It was at that point that everyone knew that, with the chance to turn the tide back into their favor, this was one of their last stands. It was now the time to defend for as long as they could. To defend until the very last one of them falls.

Seeing everything turn to her favor, Cornelia could only smile, as she spoke out "Crush them all…" with a great sense of satisfaction in her voice, as the possessed army began closing in.

With that in mind, Niya was the first to charge back into the fight, with everyone else following suite, the sound of horse hooves, and metallic greaves signifying the agreement with the former professor's decision, with the riders now forgoing their mounts, favoring to fight on foot.

Later

Despite the Student Army's best efforts to repel as much as they can, with every soldier they killed, a fresh batch would take their fallen comrade's place. Some of those who have fallen were actually knocked into the very same hole that some of them helped make earlier.

Many of those who favored the bow went from firing an arrow, to using their bow as a melee weapon, in order to stagger some of the marching reinforcements, before grabbing an arrow, jamming it into them, when one of them came to close.

Before long, the space that the Student Army had left slowly began to shrink, with some so desperate to thin the gap, they rush on ahead, sacrificing themselves by using their lances as a sort of pole to leap over, and meet those in the back of the marching battalion head on. One of these groups included a few Paladins, who leaped over using their horse, the steed's weight crushing some of the soldiers they have landed on, at the cost of their own life.

Magic has also begun to dwindle, with spell casters realizing that they were slowly running out of uses, meaning that they had to switch to their secondary weapons if they were to continue the fight. The same applied to those who had been using healing magic to aid the fight.

"None of this is going to mean a damn thing if we don't get any closer to her." Felix grunted, as he slashed another soldier.

"We just need to find a way to get closer." Niya spoke, before turning to Linhardt. "Linhardt, can you still use the warp spell?"

"Warp? Yes, I still can."

"Good, now warp me as close as you can to the other side of this battlefield, I'll do what I can to get to Cornelia. Maybe I can end this, if I end her."

"No need to go so far child." Came Cornelia's calm, yet mocking voice. "I'm right here."

"At least you know how to make this convenient."

"Hunter." Edelgard firmly began. "You traitor! I shall have your head when this is over."

"How confident of you to say such a thing, when you yourself is aiding them." Hunter smirked. "Also, did you forget the reason why I began to work for you in the first place?" He finished by pointing a finger towards Hubert.

As Edelgard began to ready herself, Hubert stepped forward. "Lady Edelgard, I implore you stay back. It is time I settle this myself."

"Very well brother." Hunter simply finished, before the two brothers engaged each other.

With the brothers busy, Edelgard turned her attention to Cornelia.

"Two versus one?" Cornelia started. "I like these odds."

"Famous last words." Niya spoke. "Now, it's time to end this."

As the trio engaged each other, Myson on the other hand, simply stood back, using his dark magic to engage anyone in combat, all of whom met a similar fate in death.

"I care not how this battle is to turn out." Myson called out to his comrades. "We cannot allow our grand ambition to be stopped by these beasts. We will return this world to mortal hands... May this filthy race of beasts wither and die..."

As more and more Seiros Knights fell to Myson, he angrily declared out "I'll take you all down, here and now... For the sake of the new dawn."

Meanwhile

"Give it up brother," Hunter taunted, as he fired another Miasma spell. "It is better to just accept your fate."

"I have no interest in ever taking orders from the likes of you." Hubert spoke, dodging his half-brother's spells, while countering with his own. "If anyone between the two of us is to accept their fate, it will be yours."

"As foolish as ever…"

Elsewhere

"Ah, such a shame... I always thought we'd end up being good friends. But here you two are as my enemy... I'm afraid it's time for the both of you to die." Cornelia seductively said, dodging her two opponents' attack. "I must say though, for a pair who almost killed each other just a while ago, you two are surprisingly doing good together."

"Though our views are different, the crimes you, and all your allies have done are too great to ignore." Edelgard spoke out.

"Enough chit-chat." Cornelia said. "Show me if you all are capable enough to dodge this." Cornelia spoke a short chant, before a sinister, dark mass enveloped the area, with auras of pink and purple taking the form of gleaming eyes, before exploding in a flash of dark spikes.

The two girls barely dodge the attack, causing a striking pain on their body. It was the spell, Death Γ.

"Not fast enough I see…" Cornelia shook her head in shame. "I expected you both to be better than this."

Elsewhere

"No…" Myson cursed, as he felt his body getting weaker. Though he had killed a good number of Seiros Soldiers, he was eventually bested in battle when Ordelian Heiress, Lysithea casted Hades Ω. "A curse upon those damned beasts..."

"Myson, no!" One of his subordinates called in a panic. "Everyone, Myson has fallen. Retreat! Our goal cannot be sacrificed!" When he finished, everyone who was loyal to Myson warped out of the battlefield.

"Cowards!" Cornelia called out, before turning her attention back to the duo.

"The mages are retreating?" Dedue observed. "I suppose they have their preferred loyalty, and it is not to the Imperial Army."

"At least that takes care part of the problem." Leonie spoke out.

"Quit yammering, all of you!" Felix snapped. "We still got our hands full."

"Felix is right." Seteth nodded. "We must focus back to the battle."

As Lysithea was about to return to the fight, she noticed something peeking out of Myson's robes. Crouching down, and reaching for the object, she managed to grab a rolled-up scroll. Though rolled up, the scroll has streaks of writing on it that Lysithea couldn't make out. She would've analyzed it further, but decided that it could wait, as the fight was still ongoing, so she tucked it in, and continued on.

To be continued…

A/N: And we're clear!

Sorry for being late, busy with studies, like the usual.

As quickly as Myson came, he was killed just as quickly, which is fitting since who even was Myson anyway? No, seriously. I genuinely forgot who Myson was, until I stumbled upon his page in the wiki, before deciding that he could be added, since he's not important anyway.

Also, we finally have the brother vs brother fight after all this time.

Next time, we see the end of this battle, and someone actually relevant dies. Until the next chapter, BYE!
