Survivor Series: 15/11/1998

WWF Survivor Series was live at the Kiel Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The opening match was part of the tournament and saw Mr. McMahon introduce Mankind and his mystery opponent. After a grandiose introduction, promising a WWF veteran with a record setting win-loss record, jobber Duane Gill came out. The match barely lasted one minute as Mankind knocked Gill to the mat and rolled him up for a pin.

Al Snow's match against Jeff Jarrett began with Snow following Jarret's valet, Debra McMichael. Snow soon entered the ring and took the first advantage, using the ropes to aid him with a neckbreaker but mistiming a flying leg drop. After a succession of reversed pinfalls attempts by both parties and a DDT by Snow, both men were lying on the mat. Debra walked onto the apron with Snow's mannequin head to distract the referee and allow Jarrett to pick it up. Snow himself grabbed Jarrett's guitar and swung for Jarrett, but missed and received Head. Jarrett went to attack him again in the corner but a kick from Snow allowed him to grab the Head and smack into it Jarrett's face, allowing a victory via pinfall when the referee finally looked back. Snow faced Mankind in the quarter finals.[12][13]

Big Boss Man met Steve Austin on the walkway for their fight, with Austin throwing Boss Man into the steel steps before the match was officially under way. Inside the ring Boss Man used his punches to subdue Austin before choking him in the middle of the ring. Crowd support inspired Austin to fight back with a clothesline, shoulder barging his opponent into the turnbuckle before stomping a mudhole. After being Irish whipped against the ropes, Boss Man escaped the ring and when Austin caught up with him, he was met with a night stick from the Boss Man. The referee awarded the match via disqualification to Austin but that did not stop the onslaught from Boss Man's nightstick, much to the delight of Mr. McMahon.

The fourth tournament match, between European Champion X-Pac and Steven Regal, saw X-Pac's fast paced style take advantage over Regal until a mistimed bronco buster in the corner left X-Pac in pain. Regal pulled him out to fit a seated abdominal stretch on him. Regal's mat-based technical style kept X-Pac slowed down and without much of his arsenal. Regal ventured to the top rope with his opponent, utilizing a double-underhook suplex from the top turnbuckle to put pressure on X-Pac's fragile neck. X-Pac regained the offense but when he went for a top rope maneuver, Regal shook the ropes, causing him to fall to the outside. Regal pursued him and both men were counted out. On McMahon's orders, Commissioner Slaughter attempted to restart the match but as an injured and confused X-Pac was already halfway up the ramp and Regal pursued him backstage, the match was not restarted, giving Steve Austin a bye through to the semi-finals.

The next match, between Ken Shamrock and Goldust, began as a high-speed encounter with both wrestlers making many running attacks, until Shamrock had Goldust on the floor at which point he began to use a chin lock to slow him down. Goldust regained some momentum after standing up and, although Shamrock was able to reverse it initially Goldust soon had some advantage in the match. Things changed though when Goldust set his opponent up for the illegal move, Shattered Dreams. As Goldust made the run up, the referee jumped in the way to prevent the low blow which gave Shamrock the time to jump up to the top rope, jumping onto Goldust for a hurricarana, following it up immediately with an ankle lock that made Goldust submit.

In the last first round match, the Rock was to square off against a returning Triple H. However, Triple H did not appear (presumably due to his knee injury); instead Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco came out, and presented a "last minute replacement" in the form of Big Boss Man, who ran to the ring only to be rolled into a pin for the shortest match in WWF history, three seconds.

Next up was the Undertaker against a mystery opponent, most people thinking it was Kane.

In the arena, Undertaker's theme hit and out come the Lord of Darkness with Paul Bearer to loud boos from the fans as they walk down to the ring. The Phenom gets in the ring and his theme dies down as he waits for his opponent.

OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!

The fans pop loudly as fire explodes on the stage just as Dark Side plays, the lights change to the mix of blood red and dark blue, and the fans cheer loudly as the Bladewolf walks out. His demonic hellfire eyes locked on the shocked Undertaker.

Bladewolf walks down to the ring, taking his coat off along the way as he did so. He gets on the ring apron, staring Undertaker down before he steps over the top rope, flipping his hair back as he did so. The Bladewolf's theme dies down as the lights go back to normal and the referee calls for the bell, whoever wins this advances into the tournament for the WWF Championship.

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Right off the bat, Undertaker strikes with a hard right that knocks Bladewolf back a bit. Undertaker unloads with heavy rights at the start of the match, backing Bladewolf into the corner as he keeps up the assault before scarung the referee off. Undertaker runs at Bladewolf but is given a big boot that floors the Deadman. Undertaker gets to his feet and uppercuts the Bladewolf, making him stumble back.

Undertaker then grabbed Bladewolf by the head and rammed his head into the turnbuckle again.

Bladewolf staggered out of the corner and attempted to escape the Undertaker's deadly hands, but Undertaker kept on him and shoved him back into another corner. Undertaker swung at Bladewolf, but Bladewolf quickly kicked him in the stomach, then hits a few heavy rights to the Undertaker's forehead, enough to get the Undertaker leaning on the ropes. Bladewolf rebounds off the ropes and clotheslines himself and Undertaker over the top rope and both land on their feet before they look at each other and went at it once more.

Undertaker gets the upper hand as he uppercuts Bladewolf, sending the masked man staggering backwards. Undertaker grabs Bladewolf and whips him into the steel steps, sending Bladewolf flying over them and onto his back.

Undertaker walked over and grabs Bladewolf by the hair before ramming his masked face off the steel steps, sending Bladewolf down. Bladewolf then punches Undertaker in the stomach before he shoves Undertaker over the steel steps. Bladewolf got up despite the pain and leaps over the step to tackle Undertaker, furiously attacking him once more before he bounces the Undertaker's head off the announce table, then the steel steps, then the barricade before tossing him into the barricade. Bladewolf grabs the Undertaker once more and bounces the Undertaker's face off the announce table time and time again with more aggression and fury until Undertaker blocked the next one then elbowed Bladewolf in the stomach and brought his head off the announce table, sending the Bladewolf to a knee.

The Undertaker clears the announce table of it's contents then grabs his opponent by the throat, looking to Chokeslam him through it but Bladewolf begins elbowing the Demon of Death Valley in the side of the head then drives his elbow into Undertaker's back, forcing the man down to a knee. Bladewolf grabs Undertaker, hooks his arm and goes to lift him but Undertaker hits a sharp right hand into the ribs, then grabs his brother by the throat, lifts him up...AND CHOKESLAMS HIM THROUGH THE TABLE!

'Holy shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!' The fans chanted.

Bladewolf fought to his feet before he whirled around and uppercuts the Undertaker, making him stumble back. Bladewolf tackles Undertaker into the steel guard railing, causing the Deadman to yell out in pain. Bladewolf unloads with a fury of lefts and rights on Undertaker before he grabs him by the hair and rams his head off the steel, then tossed him into the ring.

Bladewolf slides into the ring and stares Undertaker down as the Deadman gets to his feet and turns around...INTO A SPEAR! Bladewolf got to his feet, grabs Bladewolf and gets him onto his shoulders...BEFORE HE HITS THE HOWL OF THE WOLF! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! THE BlADEWOLF BEATS THE UNDERTAKER!

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Dark Side plays as Bladewolf gets to his feet and flips his hair back. He stares down at his brother before he notices Paul Bearer coming to ringside...with a casket? Bladewolf stared with a frown when...UNDERTAKER SITS UP! Undertaker grabs his brother by the throat, lifts him up...AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM! Bladewolf laid there in pain as Undertaker ordered Paul to open the casket, which he did.

Undertaker picks Bladewolf up by the throat, walks him over to the casket before lifting him up...AND CHOKESLAMS HIM INTO THE CASKET! Paul shuts the lid and starts padlocking it with Undertaker before they push it up the ramp to the stage, this was looking very similar to Royal Rumble when Kane and Paul bearer did this to Undertaker.

Undertaker takes an axe and start putting holes into the casket, grabs gasoline and pours it all over the casket befor he takes a match and lights it. He says something in Latin, sounding demonic as he did so...THEN TOSSED THE MATCH ONTO THE CASKET!

"THE CASKET'S ON FIRE!" JR shouted. "The Bladewolf is in the Casket!"

Undertaker watches the casket burn with sick sanctification as the fans were shocked at this. Undertaker and Paul leave as officials grab fire extinguishers to put the fire out. Kane comes out to cheers from the fans, shoving everyone aside before he rips the burnt door of the casket off...BUT BLADEWOLF IS GONE!

Kane looks around, confused at where his little brother had gone...

Yeah, I had Undertaker do to Bladewolf what Kane did to Undertaker. Bladewolf will be back...in 1999. Will this burn cause him to become more demonic and evil than ever before? Will it change anything? or will it just piss him off and make him power powerful for when he returns?
