Later on that night
After having her bath and putting on her PJ's. The nighttime routine was almost complete.
Brooke put Angie's straight brown hair into two large tied the hair together with a scarf to preserve it. Once she was finished she handed Angie a mirror.
Angie stared down at herself.
"You are so beautiful inside and out." Brooke said.
Angie placed down the mirror and climbed into bed.
Brooke put the purple monkey right beside her.
Angie's bio parents had been long gone for awhile now and she hadn't brought up the topic to Lucas or Brooke.
Which concerned the couple but they knew when the young girl was ready to talk about it she would.
"What's going to happen to me.? My parents aren't coming back. How long am i going to stay here.?" Angie questioned. Looking to Brooke.
"That depends on you and what you want. You're social worker is fully aware of you're parents visit. She also knows they aren't coming back." Brooke replied.
Lucas entered the room and walked over to where they were.
"This arrangement was meant to be temporary. That is what Brooke and I agreed to but things have changed. We want to give you time and get you help so you can begin the healing process with all of this." Lucas added in.
"Before we ask the question that we need an answer to. What matters to us the most is making sure you are happy. Healthy. And fufilled in every way." Brooke stated.
"Just ask me now!" Angie proclaimed.
The couple looked to each other then back at her.
"Do you want to stay with us.? For the three of us to become a family.?" Lucas asked.
"Yes. I do." Angie confirmed.
With that say out loud. There was nothing more needed to be done. Brooke and Lucas took turns reading from her now favorite bedtime book. When she fell asleep they tucked her in and turned out the lights.
Leaving the bedroom hand and hand.
Hours Later
In the morning
Lucas awoke to find himself alone. He left the bedroom. Checked in on a sleeping Angie then made his way downstairs.
He smiled as he saw Brooke dancing around to the music playing from her phone. As she made her way over to the dining room table and started to eat.
"I see the morning sickness is 're up early today." Lucas said.
"I am so hungry and was too full of energy to sleep. So i figured i'll snack a little make breakfast and probably lunch too. Then i was thinking on you're lunch break we could go baby shopping. And tell everyone about the babies. What do you think.?" Brooke asked.
"I love the sound of that. I'm ready to celebrate this pregnancy." Lucas replied.
