"Why are you hiding things Bella"

"I'll ask again Rose what the hell is Bella ? Is she even human?"

"Are we okay?...us I mean"

The drive to the reservation was a short one, her father talked about how truly tired he was , how sad he was that he wasn't able to provide closure to the families who lost their loved ones.

Bella felt a pang in her chest, her gut coiled with the familiar feeling of guilt. Here she was convincing or manipulating her father to get him safe while others died at the hands of the very thing she was trying to get him away from.

"I'm sorry dad" she murmured softly, biting the inside of he cheek in an attempt to stop her from telling him more. She didn't need to drag her father into their crazy world just yet or if ever —Charlie Swan was a simple man, he never cared much for money, even though he had plenty of it, he stayed in forks. His home town to care for his dying parents then he had a kid and wife. But his wife left him taking his kid too. He dedicated his life to his job, the sheriff of the sleepy town, where crime was low other than the occasional hiker going missing, random break in at the corner bodega. Yes Charlie Swan —her father , her very simple, gruff policeman father was simple he believed in facts and evidence. Supernatural creatures never even crossed his mind.

They say ignorance is bliss and in her fathers case it truly was—he was much happier with his simple life , he didn't need it to be uprooted more than he was when he estranged teenager daughter came to live with him after years of being separated.

She couldn't do that to him but she couldn't stop herself from feeling guilty either.

"It's fine Bells, these things happen I'm just sorry for those families you know?" He said quietly. They decided to leave the cruiser at the station and use her car , billy had a truck so if they needed to leave the reservation there would be a vehicle.

Bella nodded her head, she saw two blurs running side by side until they came to a stop abruptly.

'The border' she thought.

Passing quickly she could see the signs leading them into the reservation.

"You did your best dad" she said honestly.

Charlie let out a depreciating laugh "my best? then why wasn't it enough?" He questioned, she was sure the question was rhetorical but she answered anyway.

Turning down the path leading to Billy's home she shrugged, putting the car in neutral she patted his shoulder comfortingly. "Sometimes even our best isn't good enough... but that's okay"

"As long as you don't give up faith that doing your best will hopefully be enough someday" Her tone was serious, she stared deeply into her fathers eyes as she spoke trying to convey as much comfort as she could.

After a few seconds of silence Charlie gave her a smile.

"I'm supposed to be the parent here kiddo" he chuckled "making me feel like a chump" he joked successfully lightening the mood. Laughing along with her dad she glanced to Billy's door and saw Sam standing beside him.

"Nah it just proves you're a great dad"

"Well I must be if your spitting out profound wisdom like a fortune cookie"

Bella scoffed playfully " fortune cookie? Please I could give motivational speakers a run for their money" she quipped.

Getting Charlie settled wasn't a big issue , since the twins Rachel and Rebecca moved out billy had enough space to host his best friend for which Bella was grateful for however, he did give her a odd look when ushering her father inside the home.

"Sam" she greeted politely , they weren't in good terms well that's the polite way of putting it —the last time she spoke to the alpha she implied he fucked Renee —which albeit it funny tends to leave a bad impression on these temperamental creatures.

"Bella'" he said, his voice deep nearly a sounding like a growl which she expected but she didn't want to play to his ego right now.

"I'm surprised to see you here" she mentioned raising a brow in question. She didn't tell billy why her dad would've her just that he needed a break, so why the alpha was giving her a look like he could see her soul ? She had no fucking clue.

Sam folded his arms across his broad tan chest, staring at the pale girl, he didn't know what to make of her —people told him that she willingly hangs out with the leeches. Even after he gave her a warning to stay away—now she brings her father to Res without any real idea as to why.

"Well Billy told me you'd be coming around so I thought I'd give you some advice" Bella's face hardened immediately, her brow stayed up , but she shifted on her foot taking a step back from the alpha , not that she was intimidated —no far from it —she just needed to have a clear cut exit, she honestly hoped he wouldn't give her the same spiel about the Cullens again.

"Oh?" She prompted

"Those leec- Cullens are no good, I've heard you still stay in their company —they're dangerous Bella" rolling her eyes, she scoffed at the alphas warning. She really didn't need or want to deal with this right now.

She turned trying to leave when she felt a hand on her shoulder halting her exit " Sam I suggest you remove you hand from my shoulder if you want to keep it" she said eerily calm.

Her voice was hard, powerful and commanding—the alpha retracted his hand almost immediately, he felt the ancient magic in him flare ... not in dominance but submission. Confusing the alpha as to why would Bella elicit such a response from him.

Bella gave the alpha a scathing glare, her eyes boring into his brown ones , a flicker of blue flashed in her own.

"I know exactly what the Cullens are, and I know exactly what you are— don't mistake me for a hapless human Sam. I suggest you start doing your 'duty' and protect the people of forks from the actual problems and stop concerning yourself with the vegetarians in town." She paused she looked away turning on her heel.

Throwing the clueless alpha a bone.

"Two red eyed vampires are in forks and will try to feed or kill the longer they're here. So I suggest you concern yourself with the real 'Dangerous' creatures and leave the Cullens alone"

Pulling up to the glass mansion for the second time that day had Bella looking to the home with resigned sigh.

Her eyes trailing to the porch she spotted the blonde vampire, wearing unreadable expression. She exited the car the same time Jasper and Emmet came out of the woods.

"All clear" said Emmet with a wave, jasper gave a small nod toward Bella as he blurred into the home.

"Thank you both" said Rosalie, her eyes barely stayed on her brothers instead they trailed back to her mate who was getting out of the car.

"No problem Rosie, anything for family" said Emmet patting her shoulder as he passed into their home.

After few seconds the only two that remained was Bella and Rosalie , neither saying word but their eyes never left the each other.

Rosalie sighed softly at the heavy silence they found themselves in. For the first time since they started their relationship or even before the silence was uncomfortable, it felt unbearably thick so thick that it could be cut with a knife.

Ending their state off she motioned to the home behind her "Do you want to come up to my room? So that we can get started on that conversation"

"Still skipping the hello's I see" quipped Bella, shifting her position slightly from where she's standing she could hear the vampires mill around the Cullen home—trying to give the two mates as much privacy as they could given the situation.

Rolling her eyes, her lips staying in a thin line she kept her expression blank, trying not to retort harshly at Bella's attempt at humor. She inhaled an unnecessary breath.

"I'll see you upstairs" was all she said as she blurred through the open front door.

Pushing a hand through her brunette locks the enchantress looked up to the home with resignation and pushed away her gut feeling—that told her this wasn't a good idea.

Her instincts has served her well and usually she would follow it without question but now her instincts alarmed her telling Rosalie, that spilling everything to Rosalie was not a good idea she also knew that was her logical side talking ... her emotions was a different story , sang a different tune, her love for her mate urged her that this was a necessary step if she ever wanted their relationship to improve, if she ever wanted to move past this small bump in the road.

Safe to say Bella was split—but she knew her lover wouldn't take kindly to more lies just because she had a gut feeling, with no actual evidence.

'Evidence? That girl in the alleyway is more than enough evidence' screamed her mind in protest.

Against her better judgement she settled on ignoring the tiny voice to compelled her to reconsider.

She pushed through her chaotic thoughts, entering the home. Seeing the Cullens beside Edward give her a smile, strained but polite.

The only one who gave her some warmth was Esme —always Esme, she trusted Bella or so Bella hoped the rest were skeptical probably because of the way she acted when James arrived— her calmness was too real to be faked, her heartbeat too even to be false—she cursed her foolishness.

'I suppose they'll want an explanation too' she thought , her eyes drifted to Alice who confirmed her thoughts.

"Hi and bye I'm just going to" she thumbed upstairs

Carlisle stepped forward "of course Bella" he said with a nod, his eyes critical of her but not jumping to any conclusions just yet she assumed, knowing the man was a scientist and his love for discovering new things were endless.

"Yeah ..." she trailed off making her way up the wooden stairs, each step seemingly becoming heavier the higher she ascended, the hallways was dead quiet she expected someone to hop out any moment —like a old haunted house.

Walking at a sedate pace with Rosalie's bedroom in sight , she hesitated at the doorway for a few seconds remembering the last time she was in here she made Rosalie a promise ... showed her the beauty of her magic. Now those memories would be replaced with either a disappointed Rosalie, or a very angry one. Neither seemed to appeal to her much, especially since they weren't at the point where angry make up sex was an option.

"Are you going to stand the all night? Or are you actually going to come in? Don't be scared I don't bite"

"Well ..." she trailed off with amused chuckled at the unintentional joke, the vampire's tone wasn't teasing nor did it sound like a joke but given the situation and the fact that Rosalie was in fact a vampire that did really bite.

Scoffing at the chuckle she drew from the enchantress. "You know what I mean"

"I do" she confirmed softly. Realizing her humor was hardly being appreciated.

She stepped into the room shutting the door softly behind her. She shoved her hands in the back pockets of her jean, rocking idly on the balls of her feet.

Not knowing how exactly to start telling your mate that the guy that was currently after her managed to lure her into a trap before and threw her around like a rag doll , taunting her , making her bleed for nothing other than his own sick amusement.

It's not like she could just say 'yeah he's totally got me before, breaking a few bones, wanting me to beg it's cool'. She imagined it wouldn't go over well with Rosalie.

Nor would her forced nonchalance at the matter do her any good either. She was either going to be labeled as an idiot with a death wish or an idiot with no idea of self preservation.

"So... we need to talk huh?" Settling on the most cliche line ever even made her cringed inwardly at how ominous it sounded to her own ears.

Standing opposite the brunette, lifting a brow at the start of the conversation, biting her tongue for her mates stupidity at stating the obvious she gave her a solemn nod.

"Haiz... well I guess you better sit down then, it won't be a pretty picture"

A/N so Bells gonna Tell Rosalie what's what and all that... it could either be good with no changes or it could lead to something else

But I guess she's just a ball of mush when it comes to Rosie even though her instincts screamed at her.

Also we see Sam I don't like the guy thinks he's the shit when he's not even a proper alpha

Enjoy
