Hello just a reminder that in my story Chat blanc akumatization has nothing to do with the one on the show . You won't need to read that part again but in case you want a refresher on what happened you can always just read chapter 19
"Hope I'm not late for the family dinner," Lila smirked as she calmly entered the room.
Gabriel was the first to respond to her. "How can you be late when you weren't even invited?"
She boldly walked forwards while the others stumbled backward trying to create as much distance as possible from her. Although she lacked the height and the posture that gave old Hawkmoth his threatening look, she certainly knew how to be menacing. Her smile was malicious and wrathful, her steps were chilling calm and marked by the sound of the infamous Hawkmoth cane hitting the floor. With an overconfident smirk, she answered, "Don't worry because I'll be on my way as soon as I get what's mine."
She pointed to Adrien. After waiting so long, she would finally have what she wanted... and she wouldn't let anyone get in her way.
Gabriel took several steps forward placing himself between Lila and her main target. She tried to go past him, but he grabbed her arm and threatened, "Don't you dare come near my son."
"Adrien will be mine!" Her arms swung the cane in one anger-filled movement proving how mad she was at him. Luckily, Gabriel dodged it.
The Adrienette couple took one look at each other before their adrenaline took over. They realized they had to take the opportunity and run out of the dining room so they could transform and stop Hawklila? Lilamoth? Whatever she was.
While they ran, Lila laughed in Gabriel's face despite him being able to hold off each of her attacks and keep her way from Adrien and Marinette. She took another swing and asked, "Do you really think you can stop me?"
He knew he didn't need to stop her. His plan was to just buy enough time for Marinette and Adrien to transform and come back to defeat her. After successfully avoiding another of her charges he asked, "Do you really think you can get away with this? Attack me in my own house?"
Hawklila grinned proudly. "You're just jealous that the student finally surpassed the master."
Gabriel slid past another of her swings and forced her to the ground. "Don't give yourself too much credit."
Even after being thrown to the ground, she still kept her confidence. "You always like to act so superior to everyone, don't you? Today I'll show you I'm better. I will do what you failed to do all these years and get the miraculous."
Lila attacked him with the cane and hit his leg. Despite the pain, he still confidently got up and asked, "Foolish child, do you even have any idea what that wish can do?"
She smirked as she revealed her plan "It can erase you, Marinette, and her bratty child... not to mention finish Ladybug off and still leave enough power to make Adrien love me forever."
He grabbed her cane and used it to push her against a wall. "Not even the miraculous wish is powerful enough to make him love you."
Furious and trapped by Gabriel, she had no other choice. With little struggle, she managed to free one arm long enough to use it to grab the cane and release an akuma.
Gabriel barely had time to react before he heard her voice whispering inside his own brain. Her tone was creepily soothing and inviting. It was almost impossible to resist. "I know how much you miss your wife and how much you care for your grandchild. I can bring her back without any trouble. All you have to do is bring me Adrien and the miraculous."
Lila smiled, convinced she won him over with her lies. Just as she was about to declare victory, Gabriel screamed, "NO!"
He fell to his knees with a proud smirk as the akuma flew free. Hawklila didn't miss the opportunity and chose to akumatize herself instead. Her suit barely changed, but her power increased exponentially.
Gabriel, a little too confident in himself, continued to smirk as he got up... ready to continue fighting. His plan didn't assume she would be clever enough to akumatize herself. Despite that, he continued calmly because she was too immature and had no experience as a miraculous holder. Ladybug and Chat Noir were on their way and now that Lila used her power to akumatize herself, she had less than five minutes. No matter how he looked at it her time was limited.
While Lila was running out of time to stay transformed. Marinette still hadn't even transformed. After running out of the dining room with Adrien, they had to find somewhere to transform. Fortunately, he knew the mansion well and took her to a panic room where they were safe to change into their superhero form. However, before she could say the magic words. He grabbed her arm.
"What?" Marinette asked him, but quickly understood what he wanted to say but couldn't. As his partner, she knew him well enough to see the struggle in his eyes as he fought the urge to tell her to stay back and not fight. When he opened his mouth, she was prepared to explain why she needed to protect Paris. To her surprise, he begged, "Please... be careful."
She smiled as she took his hand and promised, "I'll be super careful... but you have to be careful too. Okay?"
"Deal," Adrien replied. Her promise meant a lot considering his first instinct when they reached that panic room was to lock Marinette inside to keep her and Kitten safe. He knew it was wrong and impossible to try to stop his lady. If she wanted to fight Hawklila then he would gladly be by her side protecting her.
Ladybug started to run towards the action with him following her. Both were confident that Lila would finally be defeated.
They ran together, but their thoughts were different. Marinette wanted nothing more than to free Paris of that liar called Lila, while Adrien wanted to get his revenge on Hawkmoth for akumatizing him and making him hurt his lady. The time spent since Chat Blanc hadn't been enough to stop Adrien from wanting to make Hawkmoth pay. Granted, the blond knew Hawklila wasn't the one to akumatize him, but she worked with the original Hawkmoth which meant this was his first chance in weeks to get close to knowing who the real villain of Paris was.
Meanwhile, the battle inside the dining room continued strong with new akumatized Hawklila barely winning against the former Hawkmoth.
"Cataclysm," Lila yelled in complete frustration over the fact that she still hadn't defeated him. She didn't think she would need her akumatized powers until she had to face the heroes. Nevertheless, she was confident in the powers she chose. She gave herself the possibility to use any power of the miraculous at will. Of course, it came to the downside that she could only use a single power at a single moment.
Gabriel managed to dodge the first attempt to destroy him with her cataclysm but the second proved far more dangerous and he only survived thanks to a piece of a broken plate he used at the last second.
Taking another charge, Hawklila said, "You can keep fighting but sooner or later Adrien will be mine."
"I raised Adrien well enough to not fall for opportunists like you." He smirked and began cleaning the plate dust off his jacket. After finishing, he placed all his force into his hand as he counter-attacked. The punch landed on her midsection, but she just laughed. That suit protected her more than he hoped.
Still laughing at his weak attempt, she began using mirage to create multiple copies of herself, all saying exactly the same. "It's funny how you say you raised Adrien. From what I saw, you're always busy working. His driver is more of a father to him than you."
Gabriel didn't dignify his response as he let his countless attacks on the copies show his true anger. She kept creating more copies as he kept destroying them. Still, in her smug tone, the copies mocked, "With a dad like you, no wonder Adrien is always missing his mom."
Gabriel seemed absorbed in destroying her copies, so Hawklila tried a direct shot to his shoulder. Luckily, he avoided it and realized which one was the real Lila. In a swift move, he grabbed her by the arm and lifted her in the air. If he really wanted, this would have been his chance to get his miraculous back and show her he was more powerful. However, he had to stick to his plan. After hearing running approaching, and the sound of a yoyo, he did the unimaginable and released her. He boldly took a hit that would be easy to defend. It hurt physically, and mentally, to be thrown against the wall... especially when he had the perfect opportunity to end the fight. But it would be all worth it if, in the end, his plan worked.
"It's all for Adrien," he whispered to himself just as the Parisian superheroes walked into the room.
"Didn't no one teach you that crashing family dinners is rude? " Chat Noir joked before noticing his beaten-up dad on the floor.
Lila mocked. "Look... it's mommabug and her pet dog." Not being one to mess around and finding herself outnumbered, Hawklila used her akumatized version of a lucky charm to create ultra-powerful laser beams.
Marinette didn't have time to try to understand what the villain's power was before she had to dodge. It wasn't even slightly surprising that Lila chose her as her first target. The only good part was that while she kept her distracted, Adrien could help his father.
Chat struggled between giving his lady cover or helping his father. Ladybug was handling it pretty well on her own, so he decided to help his civilian father. "Sir, are you okay?" he asked as he held his hand to help Gabriel up.
"Yes, thank you. You two got here just in time. I don't want to think what this girl could have done if you haven't been here." Gabriel took his son's hand to get up, realizing that he might have pushed his plan too far. His broken rib certainly screamed that to him.
"Don't worry. You're safe now." The cat hero assured with a smile that, for a split second, reminded Gabriel of Emilie.
He was looking at Adrien when it all seemed to happen in slow motion. He shouted, "Lookout!" and pushed his son out the way of the beam that Lila shot in their direction. He was prepared to take the hit, but luckily, Ladybug was able to pull him to safety with her yoyo.
Chat Noir got up from the ground, annoyed that Lila was trying to hurt his whole family. Without hesitation, he extended his staff into a fighting position and, with the most serious tone Ladybug ever heard, told her, "My Lady, take him to safety. I got this."
"It seems like the little kitty finally grew some claws," Lila provoked. In her mind, taking care of Chat Noir would be almost too easy. Just as the hero prepared his attack, she called a cataclysm.
Not one to hold back, Adrien also called his own cataclysm. Still using his menacing tone, Chat Noir launched forward and demanded, "Where's the old Hawkmoth?"
Lila laughed as she avoided his attacks, "Who cares about that old boring grandpamoth? I, Hawklila, am the improved version."
Gabriel would have laughed at Lila's arrogance if he wasn't so worried about what she could do with a cataclysm to his son. Honestly, he didn't even want to leave him alone with her, but Ladybug pulled him out of the room without giving him much choice.
Marinette knew she needed to return to her kitty as soon as possible, but first she needed to make sure his father was protected. Marinette trusted Adrien would keep his promise of being careful while she was away.
Luckily, although the mansion was big, she found the panic room she and Adrien used to transform in before, and hid Gabriel in there.
"Here. You should be safe in here," she explained, already ready to leave.
Gabriel hesitated for a second. He knew he shouldn't do this. Mayura was there watching over him. But his father's concern, mixed with guilt, momentarily took over his rational brain. Before he could realize what he was doing, he grabbed the hero's arm and pleaded, "Ladybug, don't let Chat get hurt."
Without time to wonder about the added interest in her partner, Marinette showed her heroic smile and assured, "I would never let her hurt my Kitty." Finally, she was ready to go, but once again he gripped her arm. "What?" she asked.
He answered, "Lila tends to attack to her right, leaving her left side unprotected. Don't wait too long on the attack because she might counter-attack. Please, be careful and don't get hurt either."
Taking into account Gabriel's advice, Ladybug rushed to the dining room. She found that Chat Noir had successfully managed to pin down Lila to the floor while she was gone. The cost of that success as it turned out was his belt and an expensive chair.
Adrien was proud of himself as he was about to take the butterfly brooch from Lila. "Last chance to reveal who is the real Hawkmoth. "
"Fine, I'll tell you. Come closer," she agreed. Adrien leaned close enough to hear her whisper. "His name is... CATACLYSM!" His only salvation was Ladybug pulling him with her yoyo.
Completely proud of herself, Hawklia returned back to her feet. After seeing what Lila almost did to her prince, Ladybug went on the attack with a punch to Hawklila's left. It worked so well that she boldly decided to try to grab the butterfly brooch. Hawklila, despite the pain, noticed the hero's action and counter-attacked hard.
She threw Ladybug across the room and slowly began approaching the hero with an evil grin. Unlike Marinette, who wasn't scared and ready for round two, Adrien watched Hawklila prepared for another attack and decided he couldn't do it anymore. He refused to watch one more second of Lila hurting the ones he loved. So to everyone's surprise, the blond took one bold action. He slid off his ring, revealing his identity. With the confidence that only Chat Noir could muster, Adrien Agreste teased, "You want me and my miraculous, Lila? Then come and get me."
Her eyes almost glowed as she sprinted, trying to catch up to the blond. Marinette couldn't believe Adrien chose to reveal his identity to Hawklila. Just because the other Hawkmoth knew their identities, it didn't mean he should be revealing it to everyone. Now... she had to go save him.
Believe it or not it was only supposed to be one chapter . But once again I wrote too much. I was already going to 5200 words
So I had to split the chapter into 2 parts. The next part, my favorite and the one where Gabriel´s plan really becomes clear, just needs a few touches so I will post soon
