Naofumi had returned to his room he briefly looked around his room but when he spotted it, the four bags full of different outfits that the crazy lady made, on top of his nightstand which then he was reminded of the other event that happened at the tailors his this body's hair grooming which let him unlock a new shield by feeding the it his this body's hair. quickly he opened the stats for the new shield as he was unable to read it earlier as he was constantly distracted

'So certain shields are locked behind levels I wonder what it will be' He thought seeing it 'Now onto to the other power I gained today' he thought
Naofumi then raised his this body's tiny lithe hand and then pointed it towards the monster egg then copied exactly what the orb taught him
"I am the Hero of the shield who commands the origin of power. I have read and deciphered a law of nature. May the power of nature defend me! First Guard!" he yelled and could hear his this body's childish voice coming from his this body's mouth but Naofumi wasn't paying attention to that instead he was focused on his egg which shined a deep green his spell worked though it was kinda useless currently but whatever it should become much more useful when the egg hatches.
'I should probably try to get different spells hopefully I can get one that is offensive' Naofumi thought but that thought was soon dashed as he untied his coin pouch from his this body's hip as it a lot lighter
'that damn tailor even with her discount all of those outfits were still expensive at least I have more than enough money to eat comfortably and to pay for this room but probably not enough for excessive expenses and I would imagine magic would be expensive But magic would be soo cool to learn ' Naofumi began promptly to shake his head at that childish thought but he also kinda agreed with that thought he shook his head 'I don't need to learn more magic currently but it would be cool also you don't know how much it is to learn more magic ' he once again thought again his mind was fighting with himself until he just yelled out to himself
"Ugh I'll try to find to find a magic shop tomorrow to see how expensive magic is!" seeming done with his internal conflict Noafumi let out a huff then walked over to his bed reached down took off his tiny boots and then jumped up to get atop his bed then crawled into his covers for a thankful restful night
Naofumi was awoken by the noise of something cracking quickly removing his covers he hopped off his bed to find the noise though when he hopped down he once again forgot his new height and tumbled when he hopped down
But he got up and walked over to the origin of the noise which of course was the monster egg and when he arrived he saw the pieces of the egg slowly fall until
'Hya" a high pitch noise came forth and the egg imploded showing the creature inside which was a small pink bird-like creature
Then suddenly it flew towards Naofumi's head before promptly landing atop snuggled between his two raccoon ears Naofumi was quite stunned at the sight and the strange feeling of the bird-like creature cuddling his ears
"Wha-? " Naofumi stuttered out
"Pia, Pia" the bird thing cried out as it flapped its wings atop of Naofumi's head hitting his ears in the process
"H-Hey S-Stop T-That!" Naofumi called out with a blush Naofumi then reached up to pick up the small bird which had perched itself atop his head but before he could grab it he once again felt it messing with his ears this time thought it was rubbing its tiny head against the inside of one of his ears
Suddenly Naofumi started to giggle at the situation and feeling and with that, his blush grew brighter but after a while of giggling Naofumi finally stopped and reached up to grab the little pink bird his face was entirely red
"N-No more O-Of That," he told the bird in his hands with a lecturing tone
"Hya!" the bird squawked out taking that as the bird understanding him Naofumi then slowly began to calm down and think about what just happened
'I giggled… what is wrong with me? This body all of this is this body's fault' He thought to himself but his wallowing soon ended as he once again heard the bird squawk looking down he could see the bird looking at him
"What do you want?" he asked the bird
It just responded by a squawk
"Yeah I guess we need to find the slave trader to see what he knows about you," Naofumi said to the bird, and with that he put the bird on the bed and put his boots on, and right then he heard it, his stomach growled out "Well I guess we'll do that after we eat huh?"
"Kya!"
