Chapter 30: A Happy Happy Birthday!

A/n: Short chapter today. I only had less than a day to write this so I could get it out on time. Basically, me and the other QQ fanfic writers are writing bday chapters for the quints!

Anyways, hope you enjoy this chapter, albeit its really short.

3rd Person Pov.

Fuutarou woke up to nothing laying on top of him. This was surprising because every single day, the quints would be all over him and he wouldn't be able to move.

He looked over to his side.

'Ah, so that's where they were.' Fuutarou thought to himself.

The quints were sleeping next to Fuu instead of on top of him.

Fuutarou reached over to his nightstand and grabbed his phone. He checked the time, the date, and all the notifications he missed overnight.

Fuutarou noticed the date. May 5th.

"Oh shoot. It's their birthday." Fuutarou muttered.

He forgot to get a gift this year due to his leg absolutely being destroyed.

He sighed to himself. "Hopefully I can give something else."

As Fuutarou laid in bed, he felt something cling onto his arm. He looked over to see Nino sleeping peacefully while hugging his arm.

"Now this is what I'm used to." Fuutarou chuckled to himself.

Nino slowly opened her eyes.

"Mmm, Ohaiyu Fuu-Kun~" Nino cooed.

"Ohaiyu Nino." Fuutarou greeted back.

Slowly, the rest of the quints woke up. They greeted Fuu and he greeted them back.

"So what do you girls want for breakfast?" Fuu asked.

"Omurice! Omurice!" Yotsuba said.

"Alright then, I'll go try and make some." Fuutarou said, grabbing his crutches, and hobbling out of the room.

The quints watched Fuutarou leave the room.

Nino sighed. "He never said happy birthday."

"I'm sure he just forgot, he's had a lot on his mind lately." Ichika suggested.

"But how could he forget? It's our birthday's after all." Nino asked.

"Hey, I'm bummed out too. Hopefully he does something later." Ichika laid back down.

Fuutarou started cooking the omurice. He was currently cooking the omu part of the meal.

Fuu continued to cook until he was done with 6 omurice's for all of them. He then grabbed the ketchup bottle and sprayed a message on the top for each omurice.

"Alright! Breakfast's ready!" Fuutarou called out.

The quints shuffled out of his room. They all looked a little grumpy due to Fuu not wishing them a happy happy birthday.

Miku was the first to take a seat. The rest of the quints sat down after her. They didn't look at their food yet as they were looking at Fuu, waiting for him to say something.

Fuutarou was still in the kitchen.

"Hold on, I'll be right there." Fuutarou told them.

Fuu grabbed his crutches and slowly walked over to the table. He took a seat and looked at the quints who were still staring at him.

"Is there anything you need to say to us?" Ichika asked.

"Uhmm, look at your omurice?" Fuutarou shrugged.

Ichika rolled her eyes. She decided to listen to Fuu before she tried to squeeze a happy birthday from him again.

When she looked down, she say the words "Happy Birthday!" written in ketchup. To top it off, some ketchup hearts were also drawn in.

Ichika's face immediately lit up when she saw this. Fuutarou noticed that all of the quints were immediately happier when they saw his message on the omurice.

"So you did remember!" Yotsuba exclaimed.

"Of course! How could I forget." Fuutarou smiled.

"Though I wish I could've gave you girls more. But you know, my foot." Fuutarou said.

"You didn't have to get anything else. This is enough." Nino put a hand on Fuutarou's hand.

"Anything you give us is enough. We don't need anything more." Itsuki said next.

"Are you sure? You girls did a lot on my birthday so I want to give something back." Fuutarou was asking.

"Fuu-Kun, we're sure. Just being with us is more than we could ask for." Nino said.

"I still want to give something more though. Even if it is really small." Fuutarou said.

The quints all looked at each other. "There may be one thing."

The quints were surrounding Fuu as they stood in front of the movie theater.

"So you just wanted to watch a movie?" Fuutarou asked.

"No behind the movie theater." Nino pulled Fuutarou to see the back.

Behind the movie theater, a carnival was there. Lots of people were moving around and having fun.

"I see, well then. Shall we go?" Fuutarou asked while walking ahead.

The quints quickly caught up with him.

"Alright! Let's go!" The quints all exclaimed.

Fuutarou and the quints made their way to the carnival as fast as they could.

When they arrived, their first move was to get tickets so they could ride anything they wanted.

There were lots of rides everywhere. The smell of food and sweets filled the air. The noise was loud, with lots of chatter, screaming, and fun.

First move was to ride the roller coaster there. Yotsuba wanted to go on it first so everyone followed her.

"Come on! Let's go!" Yotsuba pulled Fuu.

They approached the line and entered it.

"So the carnival. What made you girls want to come here?" Fuutarou asked.

"Why not? Anywhere with you is great." Yotsuba gave a thumbs up.

"It's just that, you know my leg and all. I'm kinda holding all of you back and slowing you down." Fuutarou said, looking at his cast.

"Hey! Don't worry! Like what Yotsuba said, anywhere with you is great." Itsuki smiled.

The line kept moving forward until they reached the front.

"Alright, how many of you?" A guy asked.

"Six." Fuutarou answered.

"Six... alright got it." The man said, looking at the car.

The cars came back around and Fuutarou and the quints got on.

"Alright, everyone ready?" The man asked out loud.

"Yep!" Everyone on the coaster yelled.

"Ok! 3! 2! 1! Go!" The man pressed the button.

The coaster launched forward and everyone was pulled back. The car went up a hill and quickly went back down. Wind was blowing into their face.

"Woooo!!!!" Fuutarou yelled out loud.

After what felt like a blink of the eye, the car arrived back at the station.

"Ok. You all are good to go." The man released everyone restraints.

Fuutarou and the quints got out of the car and slowly walked away.

"Alright, what do you girls want to do next?" Fuutarou asked.

The rest of the night was filled with lots of fun. They rode all of the rides and tried all of the food offered at the carnival. It was now late at night and they were all tuckered out.

Fuutarou walked up to the quints who were tired on a bench.

He took a sip from his water bottle and closed the cap.

"Water?" Fuutarou asked.

The quints all said yes. He tossed his used water bottle to Yots and he tossed 4 other bottles to the other sisters.

Yotsuba looked at the bottle.

"What are you waiting for? I don't mind if you drink it." Fuutarou said.

"You sure?" Yotsuba asked.

"You've kissed me before. I don't see why not." Fuutarou told Yots.

"I guess so." Yotsuba drank from the bottle.

Fuutarou took a seat next to the sisters.

"Man, I'm tired." Fuutarou sighed.

"I am too." Yotsuba laid her head on Fuu's shoulder.

"That's new. Haven't heard you say you're tired." Fuutarou chuckled.

"Hey! We did a lot today!" Yotsuba exclaimed.

"But it was fun. Which is the main thing." Fuutarou said.

"Yes it was. Yes it was." Yotsuba relaxed a bit more.

The six of them sat there for some more time. It was nice just to relax there, under the stars.

"Happy birthday girls. Hope you enjoyed it." Fuutarou said while smiling at them.

"Thank you Fuu/Fuu-Kun/Fuuta, of course we did!" The quints all exclaimed together.

A/n: Alright, sorry for the lateish update. The quints birthday was yesterday in Japan but it's today here in the us. So it's technically still on time. Anyways, sorry for the rushed ending. I wanted it to be longer but I was running out of time.

Again, sorry for the rushed ending, maybe I'll update this in the future.

I hope you enjoyed this short chapter for the quints bday. Even though it was short and boring, I hope it served as something.
