FRIEND
They all received strange looks. Everyone wondered who they were.
The curiosity grew as each reverently waited their turn to place a rose on the coffin.
Eventually their identities became the subject of much discussion. Some wondered if they were there as genuine mourners. Others suspected they were there to gloat.

"And," he said after greeting them, "how did you know Hans?"
Hogan and his men exchanged a glance. Then they smiled fondly. "Schultz? He was our friend."
And he could tell they meant it.
