Alright, don't say I never give you anything. This must be my fastest update ever.

Anyway, I know it's quite short but I wanted to give you something nice as a gift for responding so well to the last chapter. You guys are sweet. That being said, next chapter is going to be lenghty and filled with major stuff I've been wanting to write about for months, so prepare yourself for that.

As you can see, we're in a name transition. I named this story "Dragonis" almost 3 years ago thinking dragons would have a whole lot more protagonism in this story than they actually did. I feel the name doesn't reflect anything about this story, hence why I'm changing it. The new name comes from one of Lana del Rey's songs, "God's and Monsters" which I feel fits my main character like a glove - can you guys see it too? Anyway, I'm keeping both names as the title for the meantime, so people don't get all confused.

Hope you guys like this chapter. Please review and ask questions, I love those and make me write so much faster.

"Give me some of yours?"

"No"

"I'll share mine."

"I don't like lemon"

"Natali, please!"

Natalia rolled her eyes, letting out a sigh and stretched her hand so the cone of ice cream she was holding would reach Eponine's satisfied face.

Without wasting a second, Eponine took the strawberry cone out of her hand, smiling brightly and passing along her own cone so Natalia could hold it. Before her sister in law could bark at her to use a spoon, she was already licking the creamy substance, making Natalia groan in annoyance. Was karma getting back at her after doing the same to Simon all these years?

"You'll get all your germs in it!" she cried with a resigned look on her face.

"I don't 'ave germs. You do" Eponine shrugged lightly, barely paying attention to her and enjoying the flavour "zis one's really good."

"Then buy this instead next time"

Eponine rolled her eyes, but kept on smiling as they walked by the streets of Diagon Alley. Even with their gabardine short and skirt on and those almost identical linen sleeveless shirts, they could feel sweat form on their skin despite the fact they had just left the ice cream parlour.

They were in process of exchanging their ice creams back when Eponine raised her brow.

"Why is zat boy looking at us?"

Although Natalia knew who it was she would see when she raised her head, she couldn't help but blushing. It came handy that she had spent the last couple of weeks tied to the pool and so her tan not only made her look amazing, but also prevented Eponine from noticing the pink on her cheeks. If only there was a way to conceal that smile that fought to form on her face, turning the corners of her lips upward and making her face hurt from the effort of suppressing so much excitement.

Ten meters away from them stood four boys, just outside the Quality Quidditch Supplies shop. They looked straight out of an ad that promised summer fun, that with their tight jeans, short sleeved t-shirts and slightly open shirts. Of course she only had eyes for one of them. It was no surprise that his look was the more careless out of the whole group and yet he managed to be the best looking one of them all.

It didn't take too long before instead of just one, four pair of eyes were settled on the pair of witches. Remus waved, smiling.

"Oh, my friend Remus is there" Natalia said with genuine joy, grabbing Eponine by the arm and dragging her along "Let's say hi"

Eponine didn't complain and instead went along with it. She appreciated any sort of human interaction from outside the Yaxley's household, which she should start referring to as her own household now. Even if that interaction came from her sister in law's still in school weird friends.

"Remus!" Natalia cried gleefully, standing on her tallest tiptoes and wrapping her arms around his neck.

Under her touch she felt he stiffen a bit, as he always did whenever she'd hug him, but she felt his boney hands over her shoulders after a second as he said "Hey, Talia".

She felt herself smile mid-hug, he was the only person who called her that.

They separated shortly after, and scanning the small circle the six of them had created, she smiled at all the other boys. Peter Pettigrew seemed surprised, which was understandable, considering she never smiled at him. By the end, when her eyes rested on Sirius's face again, she made an effort not to linger too much on him… and she almost made it – she noticed he had this odd smile on, and she raised a brow.

"Hi boys" she said simply, as she looked away from his face.

Little Peter had to look around to check if his friends were reacting the same way as he was. Never before had he heard such an amicable tone on her towards… anyone, let alone them. Still, it seemed as if no one was really that surprised. Even James acted as if was an everyday thing.

They all mumbled an equally polite response.

"Yaxleys" Sirius nodded their way.

His smile was already gone and his tone wasn't too different from all those other times he had said her last name in front of other people. But things were different now. The two of them knew it. It was confirmed through one short look they shared before she turned her face towards the girl standing next to her.

"This is Eponine"

"I'm 'er new sister"

"In law" added Natalia

Ignoring her, Eponine directed herself towards the boys: "So you all go to 'ogwarts?"

"Yup, seventh years" James winked, obviously proud of the fact they were now the oldest at the school.

"Are you Simon's friends?"

That surprised everyone in the group. It was like those questions' children make that make sense and are logical but are in essence so ridiculous that grownups can't help but raisen their eyebrows and making witty comments about it. While Peter and James looked extremely and midly horrified respectively, Sirius and Natalia had to cover their mouths with their fists and look elsewhere to drown their suppressed giggles.

If there was anyone in the castle that was the antithesis of the marauders, it was her brother. In fact, she remembered he had beaten their arses once or twice before.

It was Remus, the less affected by the question, the one who answered. He honestly didn't care that much about Simon Yaxley – there were worse snakes than him.

"No, we're in Gryffindor. We're not really that… close to Slytherins."

"That's one way to put it" James muttered under his breath.

"And yet you're friends with Natali"

"Just Remus" Natalia explained simply, looking at her.

James snorted, looking down at his feet in order to avoid the raised brows that were directed his way after that. Mostly everyone seemed confused by his action, except those two who looked at him like they could take his head off any second.

Eponine and Peter forgot all about it between seconds.

"So what are you guys plans for today?" Remus asked slowly.

That brought Natalia back to earth and she took her eyes off Potter. Despite the fact her annoyance wasn't completely dissipated, she smiled.

"Um… well I'm supposed to go to the Menagerie but I can't go by myself because I have to carry a lot of stuff and Eponine won't come with me"

Turning to look at her in the eye, the other witch raised a perfect eye brow. As she usually did whenever she wanted to say something quickly and without effort, as it was the case whenever the two would have an argument, she addressed Natalia in French: "Je jamais dis pas que-

"C'est une boutique d'animaux. Tu n'aimes pas des animaux"

"C'est vrai mais-

"Je ne voulais pas te déranger"

And although such words seemed off coming out of her sister in law's mouth, especially when they were meant for her, all Eponine could do was nod and say: "Ah, bien, merci then"

"Didn't you say you needed to get some things from the Menagerie?" Remus asked Sirius.

With a shrug, he nodded.

"Just to get some owl treats"

James had to roll his eyes.

"Well, why don't you go with her?" Remus asked.

Peter tried concealing a chuckle by covering his mouth. In his head, he could already see the killing glare Sirius would send him for what he had suggested – wasn't Remus supposed to be the smartest out of them all? Even he knew by then that despite being a girl, Natalia Yaxley disgusted Sirius beyond –

"I guess" Sirius sighed, looking bored.

Peter couldn't believe his ears. With his mouth slightly open, his eyes drifted towards Natalia, expecting at least her reaction would make sense.

"Could be worst" she sighed as she rolled her eyes. Then, she turned to Eponine "Can you wait here?"

Once again, Peter was shocked.

Eponine gave a one shoulder shrug as an answer and Natalia turned to look at Sirius with a face filled with impatience.

"Well? Let's go."

He rolled his eyes and turned to his friends.

"I'll see you at the Leaky Caldrum in ten"

Without waiting for an answer, he marched behind Natalia Yaxley, his frame about a meter or two behind hers. Meanwhile, three pair of eyes followed them; Eponine's ice cream was starting to melt, so that took her attention instead.

Once they were out of the picture, Remus, James and Peter all looked at each other, trying to understand whatever on earth had happened. James smiled slyly and ran a hand over both his friends' shoulders, patting them on the back – he counted on the fact they'd find out soon, if they hadn't figured it out yet.

Then, they gazed over at Eponine with a slight frown on. Who would've known the Marauders would be in charge of babysitting a French married witch on a hot afternoon at Diagon Alley?

They continued walking within a distance of each other for another fifty meters or so, but they found not use in masking their smiles anymore. Still, they remained without saying a word to each other.

When they passed Potage Cauldron's shop Natalia felt a hand wrap around her waist and drag her towards the small alley besides it. With her back glued against his chest she felt herself giggle as he buried his face on the crook between her shoulder and neck. She placed one of her hands over his own, which were wrapped around her stomach; the other still held the ice cream, which she struggled to keep away from them so they wouldn't end up stained and sticky.

"Could be worse, huh?" His warm breath tickled against her skin, and she had to giggle even more.

She knew all those giggles probably made her sound stupid, but there was no way of stopping them. Especially when he started kissing her neck.

"Stop, I'm sweaty" she complained as she laughed, but not a bone in her body wanted him to stop. Still, she guessed it was the polite thing to say, after all, girls weren't even supposed to sweat in front of guys.

"I like that" he muttered against her skin.

She closed her eyes and allowed herself to enjoy feel each goosebump.

When he got to what appeared to be the end of the trail of small kisses he was leaving over her shoulder, she separated her body from his just slightly and crooked her head, just so she could take a look off his face. When his eyes were on hers she leaned in for his mouth.

He removed one of his hands from her waist and placed it softly on the side of her face. They were now fully facing each other. His back was now fully resting on the wall and her chest was fully resting on his own.

"Strawberry?" He raised a brown in one of those odd moments in which their faces weren't glued together.

"The ice cream" was her almost out of breath response, as she leaned in to keep doing as they were.

He smiled against her lips. Guess it meant he liked it.

With a hand against his chest, she pulled away five minutes later. Her eyes were dark and her face all flushed, and so was he. She could feel his breath against her face and knew he felt hers in turn.

"We should go back"

"Yeah we should"

Despite their words, neither made any attempt to actually follow through.

When he leaned in to prolong their make out session, she stopped him by pushing him with her index and middle finger. She had a sly smile on and Sirius had to roll his eyes.

She took a lick off her now melting ice cream. Not once did she take her eyes away from him.

"Come on" she said casually while turning, without giving him a second glance.

Behind her she left a worked up seventeen-year-old boy with a look of full disbelief on his face. Naturally, his eyes drifted to her shorts. He didn't even know what hit him.

They didn't even enter the pet shop. If asked, they'd say he had gotten his owl treats and that she hadn't found what she needed. After all, Eponine was pretty much clueless to everything, and Sirius had decided it was about time his friends found out. Yeah… he dreaded the teasing, especially after everything he had said about her all those years, but those were his closest friends. It wasn't like he was letting people outside the marauders know.

During their walk towards their friends, they walked side by side, shoving each other playfully with their elbow or shoulder every now and then. He even stole what was left of the ice cream cone and swallowed it whole as she bit on her lip and shook her head, pretending to be annoyed.

"And what is it with you hugging Moony? Trying to make me jealous?" He asked with his mouth full, spilling some crumbs here and there, and winking at the end.

She looked at him with a face that reflected disgust, trying to understand what on earth it was he had articulated with all that food on his mouth. Of course it was all pretend; she had grown up with two brothers, one of them being the embodiment of male brute force, so speaking with a mouthful was hardly repelling to her. Besides, with a face like his, was there anything Sirius Black could do that would make her disgusted by him?

"Of course. All my actions are aimed to get a reaction from you."

"Yeah, you're that desperate" he winked again, swallowing the last of what had been her ice cream and running a bit ahead so her fist wouldn't catch his arm.

Although they had agreed on keeping things between them secret, at least from society, they weren't a secret to anyone who could've seen them there. To those strangers who passed them by, the pair were no different from other teenage sweethearts – all they were missing was the holding hands.

Right before they reached the pub in which the rest of the group was supposed to be waiting for them, and making use of the fading daylight, he looked at both sides to make sure there were no one that could possibly recognize them. When he made sure there wasn't, he pulled her by the upper arm into a final kiss, slamming his body against hers just slightly.

"We're still on for next week?" he asked against her face.

She nodded and reminded him to write with the details.

Before he knew it, they were apart again. It made sense. There was a lot of people around Diagon Alley at that time of day.

The group was sitting by one of the tables on the corner and none looked exceedingly happy. Peter was even sweating quite a bit, which Sirius knew was a sign of him being in distress. He guesses said distress could be attributed to the witch sitting across from him, whose lips kept on moving as she looked around the room – complaining about something no doubt.

None of the girls stayed for butterbeer. Although it was clear no one wanted Eponine there, Remus had asked Natalia if she wanted to join them for a few drinks; it was in his nature being polite, besides, he wanted to catch up with her. But Natalia refused kindly and said her brother was picking them up. Poor Peter even sighed out of relief – if there was something worse than being stuck with one intimidating and complaining witch, it was to be stuck with two.

As his friends told him immediately after the girls left, Eponine Yaxley had done nothing but complain about British customs and British fashion and pretty much everything British. They all agreed that if she had attended Hogwarts, she'd have surely been sorted into Slytherin.

"That was a nice thing to do" Commented Remus casually, as he took a sip out of his fresh pumpkin juice. Upon the clueless faces of his friends, he explained: "Going with Natalia to the shop. Thought you didn't get along"

Without looking at him, as he continued to eat his chips, Sirius shrugged and said: "She's not that bad"

"She's like an angel compared to her sister" Peter added, wide eyed.

Apparently, Eponine had asked him if he was twelve years old and then stared at him for the rest of the day James said he wasn't. As if the guy didn't have enough confidence issues when it came to girls he had to be introduced to the bluntest witch in town.

The whole table cracked up and Remus decided to drop the subject for the time being. Still, both Sirius and he knew that it wouldn't be too long before they would be talking about her again.

"Remus knows, you know?" James said casually, as the two walked towards the spot where they had hidden the portkey. Peter and Remus had just left them – they were taking a muggle bus.

Sirius cringed slightly.

Of course he knew that already, and he was fine with it, but that didn't mean he was looking forwards to the future conversation they'd surely have next time they saw each other. In that conversation he'd have to confess having lied to Peter and him for the last couple of months and turn his back on all the things he preached about Slytherins being all the same and how he wanted to get away from all of them. He had come to terms with the fact he'd have to do it – didn't mean he wanted to.

"Come on. He'll understand. After all, out of all of us, he's the one who likes her the most- after you, of course" he offered a crooked smile and a wink.

Sirius rolled his eyes as he buried his elbow unto his best friend's ribs. Unlike when he had been playing around with Natalia earlier in the afternoon, he didn't hold back on the strength used.

"Nah, I know he won't mind. It's just I never saw myself doing this."

When it all had started it had been just a fun and stimulating way to kill time all while getting on the nerves of a purist he despised – because what better way to lift a finger to the pureblood society than spoil one of their predilect daughters? Just the thought of someone outside of the two of them knowing their relationship extended to anything else but barking at each other would've sent him into panic, ready to obliviate whoever it was necessary. And now he was telling his friends.

Still, he knew it was stupid to keep hiding it from them. Not only was it disloyal to his best friends but it lacked of sense – he was committed to keep seeing her, he had made that clear the previous week when he basically begged her to take him back, his friends were bound to find out now.

Besides, people knowing he was with her wasn't that troubling anymore. She wasn't as much of a bigot as one would initially think. Sure, she said controversial things now and then and he felt like hexing the life out of her when she did, but she didn't know any other way. All she needed was a push in the right direction. The girl loved David Bowie, for Merlin's sake! Which reminded him…

"You're still alright with next week?"

"'Course. We'll have to endure the talk with mum, though"

Their apprehension to that was reflected on both their faces.

This conversation was proof that James was a bloody loyal friend, or else he wouldn't have agreed to any favours that implied hearing his mother talk about birds and bees. So of course when he asked for something back, Sirius was quick to agree to anything.

"What is it?"

"Can you please convince her to write to Jane?"

"Are we talking about the same person? It's like convincing my mother to go out for tea with a muggle. She won't write her unless Jane apologizes first."

"She said that?"

"No. We haven't actually been talking about Abbott." He winked, making James groan in disgust "But that's the way she is. And Abbott did say some nasty stuff last time they talked so…"

"Don't tell me you're taking sides on a chick fight" James chuckled, rolling his eyes "I'm sure they both have their reasons to be angry, but they need each other. Jane's dad says she's been down lately"

"Well yeah, she doesn't have any other friends."

James snorted, playfully: "Right, like your girlfriend is miss popularity."

"Not my girlfriend" said Sirius, rolling his eyes, but there was a smirk on his face.

By the end of the day, few wrestling matches later in which he resulted victorious, James made Sirius promise he'd try talking his non-girlfriend into making amends with his own fake girlfriend.
