POKEMON: LET'S GO
Episode 31: Shipwreck, The S. S. Anne!
"Our heroes are aboard the S. S. Anne Anderson were enjoying the party until Team Rocket arrived to spoil the day. Will our heroes be able to overcome this crisis? Will our heroes be able to stop Team Rocket from succeeding in their evil intentions? Or will this mysterious person, Proton, succeed in his mission?"
The Supersonic attack confuses all the Pokemon on the ship, forcing the trainers to call them back and Chase somehow tries to calm down Pikachu. The grunts force all the passengers, staff, guards, Officer Jenny and even Surge into the basement and lock them there. Proton forces the captain to move the ship towards open sea, away from the harbour.
Team Rocket, considering themselves successful and equivalent to Proton, asks him about the details of the plan. Proton, however, shrugs them off and tells them that they were meant to distract the guards for him. He further tells them to stay away from his work and leave. Jessie takes it as her insult and becomes aggressive.
At the basement, the guards and Officer Jenny try to calm the people. Surge gives Pikachu a Persim Berry to lift up his confusion. Riley implies that they need to get out of the basement to stop Team Rocket. Chase asks Pikachu to use Iron Tail to break the door, but Elaine reminds him about the grunts and Zubat outside. Riley suggests being as subtle as they can while proceeding.
On the deck, Proton has many crates loaded with a lot of Pokeballs containing rare Pokemon moved up to be airlifted. Team Rocket Trio is kept bound and gagged at a corner. Meowth tries to cut his ropes with his sharp claws, but in vain. James somehow drops Poliwag's Pokeball and calls it out. Poliwag removes James's gag and James tells him to go and help the kids out of the basement.
In the basement, the group, the passengers and Officer Jenny face a clash of opinions. Suddenly, the ventilator grill falls down and Poliwag pops out. The group recognises it as James's Poliwag and are surprised to get help from the unexpected. A strategy is made that Poliwag will lead Chase's Pikachu, Elaine's Butterfree and Riley's Growlithe out through the ventilation pipes. The rest of the plan is told to the Pokemon. Chase has Bulbasaur use Vine Whip to make the Pokemon reach the ventilator. Before this, a little girl gives Pikachu her earplugs to keep him protected against Supersonic.
Poliwag leads them to the ventilator opening in the middle of the ship. Butterfree uses Sleep Powder that spreads in the whole ship, causing the grunts and Zubat to fall asleep. They then move forth to the deck, where Poliwag lets Pikachu take the lead.
Proton worries as no grunt has returned from a long time. Growlithe returns to the basement through the stairs. Pikachu, Butterfree and Poliwag approach Proton. Team Rocket Trio is glad to find the Pokemon out. Proton spots the Pokemon group and is surprised to find Pokemon outside. Butterfree uses Sleep Powder, but Proton calls out his Golbat to use Acid, defeating Butterfree in a single blow.
Growlithe reaches the basement door, making sure not to wake any guards. It then uses Flamethrower to heat the lock till it is red hot. It then uses Secret Power to break in. The passengers come out. The guards arrest the grunts. Chase, Riley, Elaine, Surge and Officer Jenny move up to the deck.
On the deck, Golbat has defeated Poliwag. James worries about Poliwag and accidentally reveals that it belongs to him. Proton calls them traitors, but do not worry much about it. Chase and group appears and Chase challenges Proton for a battle.
Golbat begins with Acid, Pikachu swiftly dodges it with Quick Attack and charges in with Iron Tail. Golbat blocks it with Wing Attack and then uses Supersonic. Pikachu is unaffected due to the earplugs. Pikachu uses Iron Tail, landing a critical hit and then finishes it off with Thunderbolt. The guards surround Proton and Officer Jenny demands surrender from him. He however escapes using a jetpack.
Meanwhile, the uncontrolled ship collides with a rock and begins to sink. The staff and the guards quickly start arranging lifeboats for the passengers. Pikachu finds the Team Rocket Trio bound in the corner. James asks him to use Thunderbolt on them. Pikachu does so and they blast off, before joining the group in a lifeboat. All the passengers leave in the lifeboat as the grand cruise sinks.
Sometime later, at the Vermilion Harbour Officer Jenny and The Chairman thank the group for saving the day. Surge also thanks the group and advises Chase to have a good night's sleep as he wants him to be fresh when they have their official Gym Battle next day.
