Chapter 30

One was a tall black man who had a build similar to her Uncle Steve's, but he was taller. Even though he was gigantic, for some reason he reminded Ali of a teddy bear and she felt the need to go over there and hug him.

The woman was smaller and when she spoke, she had a Mexican accent. She also seemed to have the beginnings of a bruise on the side of her face.

Both were dressed in black training gear.

"Daisy, where have you been, I have been trying to find you. Wait... who is she?"

"Ali, Daisy's sister and I am sorry about your face. I didn't mean to hurt you it was just an instinct.

"Wait so you are inhuman?"

Ali nodded her head while both the woman and man looked shocked.

"I swear you have had to introduce yourself what, 3 times now."

Coulson was trying to defuse the tension in the room so May decided to help him for Ali's sake.

"Actually it's 4 now."

Daisy decided to introduce the two people in the room for them and pointed to each one as she said,

"This is Elena or Yo-Yo as we call her, and this is Mack."

"We came in here so that I could fight Daisy and May."

"Actually, we came in here so that you could see me train."

""I have already defeated Uncle Clint."

Everyone looked at her sceptically. Mack and Yo-Yo had accepted the situation and the little girl in front of them but hadn't yet realised the second man in the room until Ali had mentioned him.

"I'm sorry. Who are you?"

"Clint Barton. I worked for the old SHIELD and am Hawkeye."

Yo-Yo had asked the question but hid her awe better than Mack.

"You are an Avenger? Wow!"

Mack held out his hand at the end of his speech and Clint shook it. Yo-Yo wanted to see Ali's powers in action. She had seen them before but hadn't known it was Ali or what they were at the time. That was why she turned to Ali and knelt down in front of her. She looked up into Ali's eyes as she asked,

"Can you show me?"

Ali nodded her head, took Yo-Yo's palm this time and placed it over hers. Her eyes turned blue at the same time as the ice came to hover above Yo-Yo's hand. Ali shaped it into two parrots, and she made them fly and flap their wings. They never strayed far from the air above Yo-Yo's palm.

Those in the room could practically hear the birds squawking.

Ali lifted her palm up so that Yo-Yo's was forced up too. This made the birds flap their wings and sore higher into the air. They circled the room above their heads for a minute or two before disappearing all together.

Everyone was looking at the place where the birds had been in wonder. Ali had never done that before but for some reason had known that she could do it as soon as the idea came to her mind.

"Now can I spar with someone. Please..."

Ali had broken the peaceful atmosphere that she had created. Everyone was looking at her with exasperated smiles on their faces. Ali turned her puppy dog face onto each one of them and Daisy was the first to crack.

The other 5 in the room backed into one corner since the room was bare apart from the small blue mats on the floor.

Daisy, just like Clint did, was planning on going easy on Ali but before she could take one step towards her, she was already on her back on the ground in a hold there was no way she could escape from.

Everyone apart from Clint was looking at Ali who was on top of her sister holding her down in shock. Coulson had been warned by the girl herself never to underestimate her, but it seemed like he had because even he was surprised.

Daisy had been training with May every signal morning and had improved so much over the last months even to the point where Coulson would consider her only a few levels below May.

Ali got off of Daisy and Daisy stood up.

"We had started right?"

"Yeah, you had started."

May had a broad grin across her face as she said that. Daisy would almost always underestimate her opponent but maybe now she would learn not to do that.

"Again."

This time Daisy didn't hold back. She still only lasted about 10 seconds and didn't even manage to hit Ali once, but it was better than last time.

Out of breath and panting Daisy asked,

"Who trained you to be so good?"

My Mamma. You will probably meet her soon."

Ali seemed to smile at the last thought. Her Mamma would bring the rest of her family when she came. This would be the first time that her whole family would meet and be in the same place all at once.

"How about you fight me."

Ali's fighting stance and technique had seemed familiar to May but to properly know whose technique it reminded her of she would have to fight against it.

May managed to get a few hits in but for every hit May got in Ali got two more.

Their fight lasted for about 5 minutes before it was May who was pinned to the floor. There had been very few people who were actually capable of defeating May and now she had to add a ten-year-old to a list which consisted of adults who had been trained in combat since before they could walk.

"Good fight."

Ali held out her hand to May to help her up. May took it and pulled Ali down so that she was on the floor next to her.

"Hey, no fair."

May stood up and grinned at the little girl who was sprawled across the mats.

Daisy was the most shocked of all and so for the rest of the hour Ali gave tips to her sister on how to fight against May. In the end everyone in the room improved their fighting techniques including May and Mack. May now could last longer against Ali but was always still defeated.

Ali's fighting style reminded her of someone's, but she couldn't remember whose.

Nobody else in the room had ever met Natasha and so nobody made the connection. Coulson already knew and was dreading her imminent arrival.

Just before the hour was up an agent in black tactical gear opened the door. He looked around the room and spotted Ali. He kept his eyes on the girl and they seemed to have a staring contest as he said,

"A Quinn jet has landed in the landing zone and it isn't one of ours."

Ali flashed her eyes blue, and an evil smile spread across her face at the scared look that appeared on the trained agents face.

"We will be there shortly to speak with them."

Coulson nodded to the man before the man dashed out of the door.

The speed at which the man had ran sent Daisy, Yo-Yo and Ali into a laughing fit and even May had a smile on her face. The women had all been watching Ali while the man had been speaking and were laughing at how easily he had become scared by the 10-year-old.

Clint and Coulson looked over at Mack who just shrugged his shoulders and said,

"Don't look at me."

The 3 men reverted their eyes over to May who just shook her head and left through the door. The men followed her, and the girls trailed behind with smiles still on their faces.

The group went back to the corridor outside the lab and headed in the opposite direction to the way they had gone for the training room.

They followed the corridor round until it stopped and at the end there was a highly sealed door.

Coulson typed some things into a keypad to the left of it and scanned his badge to get the doors to open.

Once they did Ali ran out before anyone else so that she could hopefully protect her Grandad and Uncle from the rath of her Mamma.
