"I need you to sign this." Brianna drops a piece of paper in front of her dad. "It's for a school trip."
"What kind of trip?" Bobby looks down at the paper. "Chicago?"
"Yeah, some overnight thing." She explained, biting into a cookie. "Art exhibit." She mumbled with her mouth full.
"Overnight? This says you're leaving Wednesday and not coming home until Sunday."
"This museum exhibit is a big deal." She shrugged.
Bobby sighed, scribbling his signature on the page. "Better be a big deal. Bring me back some of those ... um ... " He snapped his fingers.
She nodded. "Monster killing stuff." She took the paper from him as soon as he raised the pen. "I'm gonna take the car to school that day, so I can drive home whenever we get back from the trip."
Bobby nodded, picking his book back up.
Brianna handed the signed sheet to the skeptical-looking office secretary at the school.
As she stepped out of the office, Ryan was waiting on her.
Stopping at her locker, she stuffed her backpack in on top of her pompoms.
"Shouldn't you be taking that with us?" He asked her.
"I have another bag in the car. Full of stuff I actually intend to use." She led the way out of the school.
Derek was leaning against the Camaro, waiting for them. "All good?"
"Hell, yeah." She said, dropping into the passenger seat. "Ryan, you drive the first stretch."
"Are we even going to go see this museum?" Derek asked, laying across the backseat.
"Of course we are." She laughed. "Right before we find a bar to get drunk and play pool.
"Got the week all planned out?" Ryan asked, pulling out of the schoolyard and onto the road leading out of town.
The cell phone on the dashboard started ringing.
"Hello?" Brianna answered.
"Bobby let you get a cell phone?" Sam's voice came across the phone.
"It wasn't so much as 'let'. I went to the mall and came home with it." She explained.
Sam chuckled. "What're you up to this weekend?"
"Taking a trip out of town."
"Where to?"
"Just going to drive East until I find a place to stop."
Derek leaned over the backseat to listen in.
"Watch out for monsters." Sam warned her. "We're just North of Chicago if you happen to drive that far East. Dad took off, left us somewhere with a school district."
"Pretty sure the school district was more for you than Dean."
"Yeah. Speaking of, Dean just pulled up. I'm sure he'll call you later."
"Bye, Sammy."
"Chicago is a pretty big place." Ryan pointed out.
"Not when you know all of their tactics."
"What is it that the Winchesters do?" Derek asked from the backseat.
"Stuff and things."
Ryan shot Derek a look in the rearview mirror.
His boyfriend shrugged.
