She stopped with the mowing and was standing there, wondering why Weiss' face was so red. She is as pale as a wall so it wasn't hard to notice it. And now she didn't know what to do. Should she just walk to them like a normal person or just keep staring at them? Last option was continuing her job but she only noticed now that she already finished it. Worst timing, that was it. Then she also realized how she appeared to the others at the moment. Is there even a chance that Weiss is blushing because of that and it's not happening because of the heat? Even if she found the situation awkward she really wanted to find out. That's exactly why she started walking their way.
Weiss couldn't keep her eyes off of her. What is happening? Why am I so nervous seeing her like this? And why are you coming our way? If she can't break the staring it will be sus. Ruby on the other hand just couldn't keep watching this. She grabbed the bag from the heiress' hand and the other girl had no reaction at all to this. It seemed she was occupied checking Blake out at the moment. Which couldn't even be considered 'checking out' as her eyes had no idea where to wander. The team leader just walked away, leaving those two awkward beans alone.
As Blake was still closing the distance between them, Weiss snapped her head to the direction where Ruby was standing at some point. Noticing that she wasn't there anymore. And the weight was gone too that was pulling her right side down. Now she got the chance of being alone with the faunus, but she didn't imagine it like this. And so out in the open. Someone might be watching them. Although, there is a possibility that Team JNPR has already learned about their relationship if that ginger blabbed it out.
"Hey Weiss! How are you?" She was so upbeat it was incredibly weird. It wasn't her personality at all. And why was she shouting? It wasn't even necessary as they were standing face-to-face, one meter away from each other. Maybe she went deaf from the loud noises. Weiss was still blushing, but trying not to force her eyes down.
"I'm doing great." Said awkwardly while holding her arm in front of the faunus. Showing her palm to block her view. She was looking at the window now as it seemed more interesting. "And how are you?" That was horrible. Somehow she forced that out but obviously she was fine. As long as she doesn't remember that time on the ship.
"I'm having an amazing day…" She started, touching Weiss' wrist gently. Holding it as she continued. "...now that you are here." Blake totally forgot what she had done to Weiss as she had no memories. She only heard it through other's perspective so it wasn't hard to push it aside. Especially when the heiress was blushing like crazy because of her. At least she thought that was the case. And oh she completely had the right idea. She couldn't let this fact out of her hands. She pushed Weiss' arm down, and seeing as she was staring back with wide eyes.
That confirmed everything for Blake as her mouth was bending up to a smirk. She picked up Weiss in one momentum, which caused her to release a high pitch sound from her throat as the faunus surprised her with this. And started running the opposite way of the house, God knows where. Actually, she was really fast. She was holding Weiss bridal style while rushing through a forest which happened to be next to the whole complex where they were staying.
"BLAKE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Weiss screamed as they were still speeding through the woods. The faunus herself didn't know exactly where she was heading to but she wanted some quality time alone with Weiss. After seeing her face, her whole day just got way better. Weiss noticed that she was smiling while running like a superhuman. Even her cap flew off from her head at this point, but it didn't seem she cared much about it. She looked really happy. Was it because of her? Only her presence can make her mood change this much? That is what happens when you are in love with someone? She couldn't keep these questions out of her head. She herself actually felt excited after processing that they were rushing through a forest.
They arrived near a lake where Blake stopped, looking around. Whether she was watching the beautiful view, or making sure that they were the only one here was a mystery. Weiss was waiting for the faunus to do something. Firstly, she should put her down already but it didn't seem like she was planning to. When she finally said something, looking at the pond.
"What do you think of this place?"
"It depends what you're up to." Weiss answered quickly. Her red face faded, showing her usual pale one instead. Blake only gave her a smile when she decided to put her down. She walked close to the lake. Water wasn't her favourite but just looking at it was fine. Well, she has to take a shower somehow, which is hard without it so she had to get used to it in her life. She picked up a flat gravel and threw it to the direction of the clean blueness. The gravel bounced on the surface of the lake. After the third time it sank.
When she prepared for the throw, almost every muscle in her body tightened. Only making it more difficult for the heiress to not look at it. Then she turned around but Weiss managed to look away in time.
"Wanna try?" She asked, while showing her a piece of stone that would do the job.
"No, I just… rather just watch. I'm not that good at it." Weiss said hesitantly. That was true that she wasn't the best thrower but the embarrassment she will get if she messes this up will be huge. But it seemed like it didn't really matter what you say to the faunus as she ran back to her, dragging her to the lake by her arm.
"Then I just have to make sure you become good." Said Blake with an enthusiastic tone while still holding Weiss' wrist, pulling her to the spot.
"No, you don't need to." She replied, not even giving this sentence a chance that it will work. She said it while looking up in the sky, rolling her eyes as how insistent the faunus can be. Although, this is fun. Didn't she wish for this?
When they stopped, Blake opened Weiss' palms, putting the gravel in her hand. And that smile was still there in her face, not disappearing for even a moment. Weiss has never seen the faunus smile this much. It was a change of pace she was really fond of. And as her fang appeared once in a while it was just absolutely adorable.
"Try to throw it horizontally so then it will have a better chance to bounce." Blake gave the advice while motioning with her body, presenting the throw. Weiss positioned herself.
"Just so you know, I'm not an expert." Weiss said, still preparing for it like it's a competition and has to take things seriously. That was one of her bad habits Blake wanted to change. Taking everything seriously is just not the right thing for her.
"I'm not either. But if you mess it up we just laugh at it." She informed Weiss, trying to loosen her up a bit. Already chukling, imagining her face as she throws it so weak that it sinks as soon as it hits the surface.
"YOU would laugh. It would just piss me off, seeing you laughing at me." She said, already ruining her position, to turn her whole body to the direction of the faunus.
"Why would it? If I would mess it up, I would just laugh with you. Isn't that the normal thing to do?" She said, closing her eyes while still smiling, making Weiss wordless. She was totally right. Messing something up is not the end of the world. Especially when it's about throwing a rock. But her entire life she had to meet the expectations. And if she doesn't, what will happen then….?
Nothing. She won't get punished for it. Not anymore. If she would mess something up, Blake wouldn't look at her differently. Blake messed it up when she was young. Weiss judged her for this. Although, the faunus' case was much bigger of a problem. But eventually, Weiss tried putting it aside and accepted it. Everyone can make bad decisions, but that doesn't mean you have to ignore that person as a whole and only concentrate to the fault they made. The person is not that fault, it's just a part of her. Making yourself forget that person you consider a friend because of one wrong thing, would be a mistake.
"Weiss…" Weiss came back to the world, looking in Blake's eyes. "You don't have to be embarrassed when you are with me. I love you the way you are. It won't change that if you do something wrong."
She doesn't have to live up to her father's demands anymore. And it just makes life way easier. What Blake said made her tear up, which caught the faunus off-guard. And what she did next made her even more so.
She pushed her whole body to Blake's and kissed her. She was standing on her toes to reach the faunus's mouth. Blake's eyes were almost popping out as she couldn't believe what Weiss just did. She thought it would never happen. You see what nice and honest words can do. Now she was the one who didn't know what to do. She just looked at the heiress' face as tears were coming out of her eyes. She finally made her happy instead of causing her pain.
The kiss didn't last long as Weiss pulled away not long after she made the contact. She was looking away, smiling. She didn't seem embarrassed this time. But she didn't need much to touch her and feel her abs so she rather pulled away. Blake wiped her tears away with her finger, making Weiss to narrow her eyes while she did that. The faunus' smile was up to her ears now. She didn't have much time to process the kiss as it was already over when she had a chance to do so.
"I…" Weiss started. Now that she did that it gave her courage to bring up that other kiss they shared on the ship. Blake was still holding one side of her face. "...I wanted to talk about… that kiss… on the ship." She finished it with a little stuttering, still looking at the floor. She seemed shy which she rarely was.
"I think it was charming." She purred, grabbing Weiss' waist with her arm that was once on her face. She already had a dazed expression. At least her thingy wasn't standing high yet. If Weiss will keep this up it might be. That can't happen so she has to stop now. Even if there is a possibility that they will deepen their relationship. She will have to tell her this eventually.
"Yeah, it— it was." Luckily for her, after this Weiss creeped her way out of her hold, positioning herself to finally throw that gravel she was still holding. Well, with that topic they didn't get one point to another as it is hard talking about it with the faunus, who seems lost in her if anything intimate comes up. And doing this while there is not much fabric covering her upper body is making her more nervous. Especially if this being accompanied by her flirtatious tone. She threw that rock without much thinking and it did bounce a few times before disappearing.
"Yess! I knew you were lying about not being a natural in it!" Blake shouted, jumping around like an idiot. Mostly to think about something else other than Weiss' body. She needed distraction and it was the heiress' successful throw.
"It was just luck." She said while the faunus was still jumping around, throwing her arms everywhere. "Now calm down and let's head back!" Weiss shouted, already heading the way they came from. Well, the thing is, she didn't know which direction that was.
"Blake…" The faunus stopped acting like a little kid to hear what Weiss has to say. "...Tell me that you know where we came from." There was hope in her voice, but that hope died soon after she noticed the faunus' shocked face. Of course she didn't pay attention when she was speeding through everything.
"Hey, at least we can spend more time together." She said, trying to cheer her up. It didn't work as Weiss showed her a blank expression.
"Amazing." She wasn't happy.
