My Hero Academia: Entreri Gaiden

Chapter thirty-one: An empire brought down low

To Uravity and Rocketti,

I must admit that I am impressed by how you didn't fail to deliver. I did indeed see the news, where Deku held that press conference asking anyone who has anything on Fine Wine to come forward. I also saw the part in the news that satisfied my itching curiosity. For what it's worth, I am sorry for the death of Rem Ojiro; I assure you I wouldn't have killed her regardless, I just wanted to know the answer to what I had asked because my curiosity had itched me so. I actually have a couple of questions for her, but unfortunately I'll never get the chance to ask any of them. Pity.

Anyway, to the point. You had kept up your end of the offered bargain that I had extended to you, and as such I shall keep up my end. By the time that you should have gotten this far into the letter, I'll have tossed into your backyard a personal journal that I had collected while I had been a part of the team that collected Eraserhead from his place. The personal journal had belonged to the late Nezu, a former principal of UA. The last entry made in the journal period contains the hint that the pro heroes seek.

In addition, I included a folded up sheet of line paper, written on which are the addresses of various locations and properties under the ownership of Fine Wine. Your best best to capture Fine Wine would be to stake out the address listed as number three on the list, this Friday starting after seven in the evening. You may also want to stake out the other addresses listed as well, just to cover all of your bases and to get a hold of as many of Fine Wine's men as possible. For what it's worth, I'll be wishing you and the other pro heroes luck in your endeavors.

Just to let you know, I'm not going to be a part of the festivities. I'll be my new life living on Ushishir Island by the time I suggested for the raid to capture my now former boss.

Happy hunting.

Entreri

Ochaco and Pony, as well as their respective husbands Izuku and Bakugo, looked over the letter, typed up and not hand written, taking in everything that it said, that it implied. It was Izuku who ran out into the backyard and found a personal journal laying on the ground, sealed up in a plastic shopping bag so that it didn't open randomly when it had been tossed in. The pro hero Deku brought it back inside, took the journal out of the bag.

Opening the journal, Izuku saw a sheet of folded up line paper fall out and land on the floor, with Ochaco picking it up and keeping a hold of it. "...Entreri's note said that the last entry that had been made in Principal Nezu's journal here contains the info that the police and pro heroes have been looking to get a hold of for the past decade and a half," Izuku said, "You think we can trust what Entreri had said?"

"If anything, we shouldn't analyze the stuff here," Bakugo suggested, "Call up everyone, then have a meeting over at the HPSC building. We'll look into it there, as well as come up with some sort of game plan to deal with that sorry turd Fine Wine."

Izuku nodded in agreement, and after that he and the other adult pro heroes proceeded to go about setting up another meeting with their fellows from the 'legendary year' of UA. Pony had also asked her father-in-law Masaru to keep an eye on Inko while she and all of the other heroes met with President Mera over at the HPSC building. It was going to be one hell of a meeting, to be sure, given that if the gift that Entreri had delivered to Uravity and Rocketti was true, then he really did bring Christmas to the pro heroes and police early.

And the best gift under the tree would be Fine Wine.

It took roughly forty-five minutes for all of the remaining 'legendary year' pro heroes to meet over at the HPSC building, with President Mera and two of his aids. Not only that, but Sekijiro was able to come as well to the meeting, bringing with him Shouta, Hizashi and Ryo. There, the heroes looked over the letter sent to Ochaco and Pony, as well as the list of addresses that was in Nezu's personal journal.

However, it was the last entry ever made in said journal that the gathered heroes was most interested in, as according to Entreri's letter it contains a hint that will help give them the identity of Fine Wine at long last. It was Shouta who read aloud the last entry that was in Nezu's journal, and by the time that he had finished reading the whole of it, a few of the legendary year heroes were expressing outrage, mostly the women.

"Are you fucking kidding me?!" Kyoka exclaimed angrily, "Is that Entreri bastard seriously saying that his boss Fine Wine is that perverted little troll Mineta?!"

"...I can potentially see why Komaru came up with the theory that Principal Nezu said in his journal that he had shot down," Kirishima began in a mildly somber tone, "I mean, Komaru told me and Kinoko about the same theory during dinner the night he had come up with it. He also mentioned how Principal Nezu had gently shot the theory down." The number three hero turned to look at Nezu's journal, which sat on the meeting table right in front of Shouta.

Looking to everyone at the table, Kirishima went on, "But if what Entreri is implying is true, then my son's theory will turn out to actually be correct."

"First off, we ought to figure out what to do," Izuku said, "Now we can't go acting on the info here yet. We don't have proof that Mineta really is Fine Wine yet. If we act now, not only will we be breaking protocol in several different ways, but if Mineta really is Fine Wine then he'll rabbit and be impossible to track down. Our best bet, as what Entreri says in his letter, would be to stake out the places listed on the sheet of line paper included."

Todoroki took up the sheet of line paper, gave it a grim look. "...He said the address listed as number three is where Fine Wine will be this Friday starting after seven in the evening. That will give us a day and a half starting now to get ready."

"We're also going to have to take precautions just in case this turns out to be some manner of trap," Fumikage pointed out while Dark Shadow was out and hanging next to him, "I mean, this info was given to us by Entreri, after all."

"But this is indeed Nezu's journal," Shouta said to his old student, "I recognize it full well as I had been reading it shortly before I was kidnapped. But I didn't get anywhere near far enough to see the hint that Entreri had pointed out." The underground hero let off a troubled sigh. "...If only I had gotten far enough to see that last entry myself. We could have potentially taken down Fine Wine a hell of a lot sooner, if it really is true that Mineta is Fine Wine."

Mera nodded in agreement. "Yes. We're going to need all of you heroes, plus many others, if we are to launch multiple simultaneous raids on all of the addresses on the list that Entreri had provided to us."

Taking a look at the list, Kinoko noted, "...Hey, the house where Mineta lives with his wife and that brat daughter of his who harassed Komaru isn't one of the addresses here. Wouldn't it be a good idea to stake that place out as well?"

Pointing to Kinoko in a commending manner, Ochaco said, "Yes, Kinoko. That would be an excellent idea."

"I recommend a team consisting of Sero, Kaminari, Kyoka and myself to keep an eye on Mineta's family during the raid," Kinoko suggested, "Then when we get the cue, we move in to secure them just to be safe."

Mina offered the pro hero Shemage a wry look. "...You want to be part of the 'secure Mineta's family' team because you're still mad at that Ichigo girl, aren't you?"

Giving Mina a wry look in return, Kinoko said, "I believe that it was your son who had dubbed that girl who sexually harassed my baby as, and I hope I have this right, an 'ultra-thot'." A few of the other pro heroes present snickered under their breaths when they heard Kinoko of all folks use a word like 'thot'.

Clapping his hands together, Izuku said, "Let's focus on the matter at hand. Now, given how many addresses are listed, I figure that we're going to need a total of five-hundred pro heroes and at least four times that number in police, which will permit fifty pro heroes and at least two-hundred police per address listed. We're also going to have to go ahead and add Mineta's personal home address to the list as well, along with putting Kinoko's recommended team on the job of keeping an eye on Mineta's family."

"A lot of the pro heroes are going to have to be sidekicks," Momo pointed out, "And we may even have to include a few interns from various hero high schools. If that ends up being the case then I suggest that any and all interns used have to be third year students only, although a few particularly talented interns who are second or even first years can also work, although I'll leave that up to the pros bringing them along."

Tenya nodded in agreement. "A fair assessment, Momo. I think those six boys who are UA third years that are regularly employed as interns by Kirishima's agency would qualify as interns who would work to help get the five-hundred count of pro heroes that Izuku recommend."

"I'm pretty sure that Kyoka will want to rip my head off if I either bring Marley along myself or allow it to happen," Kaminari said, "So I'm going to have to ask that he be kept out of things here." A lot of the pro heroes who were present agreed, and Kyoka did indeed confirm that she would physically harm Kaminari, as well as permanently revoke his sex privileges, if Marley was allowed to take part in the 'Fine Wine capture raid' as a whole.

As such, it was agreed that all of the children of the 'legendary year' pro heroes would be kept out of taking part in the raid. All that remained was figuring out which pro heroes to allocate to which addresses for the upcoming raid aimed to take down Fine Wine once and for all. Given that the address that Entreri in his letter had specified was the most likely location where Fine Wine would be at, getting as many top heroes there as possible would be key.

As such, it was decided that the first ten heroes for the fifty assigned to location number three would be Izuku, Todoroki, Kirishima, Tenya, Itsuka, Juzo, Momo, Setsuna, Mina and Shinso. That was all of the top ten if one counted how Mina and Shinso were in there unofficially due to the deaths of Togaru and Jurota during the Aizawa-sensei rescue mission. A number of sidekicks were put on the list, and all of the 'Manly Force' was also added, being assigned to Kirishima to lead during the raid.

It took a few hours, but eventually everything was prepared for the raid on Friday. Now all that remained was getting everyone who would be taking part in the raid ready to move out when the time was right. Given the sheer number of thugs and other criminals working for Fine Wine, this was going to be by far the most dangerous thing that Izuku and the others would be knowingly going into since they had graduated from UA.

They just had to pray that what they gleaned from what all Entreri had offered was genuine.

That Friday, shortly after seven in the evening, the men over at Mineta's primary warehouse hideout were gearing up for various jobs. As the men all prepared to do their day to day lives, Mineta himself sat in his office, going over some papers on his desk. "...Hmm, I may have to bump up how much rent the boys collect in the usual neighborhoods," Mineta said to himself, "And that rival gang from Osaka is inching in on turf that I want myself."

A knock at the door drew Mineta's attention, so he looked up and called out, "Who is it?" To his mild surprise, it was the female mixed heritage thug.

"Hey sir, three of the lads and I are about to head on out to go see that one wealthy old man you said would be 'making a donation to us', as it were," the female mixed heritage thug said, "Would it be alright if we grab Entreri and add him to our group for the job as well?"

"I would have no problem with that provided that he were here," Mineta began to explain, "But he had to take off to handle personal business. He said, or rather wrote on his dry erase board, that he found someone from his life before working for me who had made his life a living hell, so he wanted to get some revenge. Given the details he told me, I saw no problem with him going out to get his revenge."

The female mixed heritage thug nodded in understanding. "Yeah, I wouldn't blame him either. Oh well, I guess the team and I will go out as is." The female mixed heritage thug then took her leave, leaving Mineta alone in his office. As such, he went right back to going over his papers that he had out on his desk. As he went over his information, Mineta was perked up when he got a phone call suddenly.

Taking a look at the caller ID, Mineta saw that it was from his wife Raphtalia. A look of sincere amusement appeared on the criminal gang lord's face as he answered the call. "Hello, Raphtalia dear," Mineta said, "What's up?

"Oh, I just wanted to ask you about what we're going to do for Ichigo's birthday next week," came Raphtalia's reply, "I mean, it is going to be her sweet sixteen, so we need to go all out for it. Don't worry, Ichigo's in her room right now so no surprise will be spoiled."

Mineta chuckled in amusement at the notion. "...Yeah, we do need to go all out for our daughter. After all, she went through a lot when she got dragged along by Dynamight into that encounter with that terrible Big Beef fellow." Mineta still couldn't believe what all happened there, how his daughter was very nearly killed by one of his own most trusted men. Thank goodness he had Entreri, who was smart enough to make the right call even though it did end up costing Mineta one of his elites.

Leaning back in his chair, Mineta went on, "So I was thinking that we hire that top of the line party catering company to-"

"Oh, hang on sweetie," Raphtalia interrupted on her end, "There's someone knocking on the front door right now." Mineta shrugged, figuring that it was just the kind elderly man who lived next door to them. However, Mineta's interest was piqued a little when Raphtalia said, "Oh, it's that Shemage pro hero, dear. She also brought Cellophane, Chargebolt and Earphone Jack."

"Hey, is that your husband on the other end?" Mineta could faintly hear Kaminari say on the other end, "Lemme talk to him." Mineta then heard a brief struggle before Kaminari spoke up on the other end of the call. "Hey Mineta buddy!" Kaminari said, his voice carrying a none too happy hint to it but sounding amused in a sarcastic sense, "Long time no see!"

"...You don't have a son who my daughter bothered at school, do you?" Mineta asked in a mildly wary tone, able to pick up on the hints of displeasure in Kaminari's tone.

"Oh, Kyoka and I do have a son but your daughter didn't harass him," Kaminari replied in his same tone he's been using thus far, "And believe you me, Kyoka would be talking to you instead of me if your daughter did harass our son. But I'm getting off subject I'm afraid."

Something in the back of Mineta's head told him that something was up here, like a warning siren going off at max volume. Nervous, Mineta pressed on. "...So what's the occasion? I mean if you and the others give me some time, I can meet you over at-"

"Yeah, Imma have to stop you right there," Kaminari interrupted, "After all, the rest of us will be seeing you quite soon, given that Izuku and some of the others ought to be leading a little bit over two-hundred of their best friends in the police force right to your front doorstep in five, four, three, two, one-"

*BOOM*

Mineta had almost jumped out of his seat when he heard a large portion of a wall in the primary warehouse hideout get blown down all to hell, followed by hearing Bakugo shout, "DIE!" as the sounds of all of his men in the warehouse hideout at that moment going into panicked fight back mode could be heard. Mineta's heart sank as he heard pro heores and police rush right on into his main base of operations.

He had been found out. But how?

Acting right away, Mineta moved to get to a secret door in his office that would allow him to get away; having thought ahead of time, Mineta had the secret route to safety established in the event his base is found while he was there. However, right when he was about to open the secret door, a well toned and tall male third year UA hero course student burst out from where the secret door would be, sending Mineta stumbling back.

The boy had long dark hair, looking somewhat wild to give him the appearance of a wild and powerful warrior. "Yeah, Red Riot had me use my quirk Tunneling to check out everything in the ground underneath this warehouse," the third year UA boy said, "And wouldn't you know it, I had come across a secret tunnel that led to the door I had just busted through!" Mineta had tired to move to get away, but the third year UA boy grabbed him with both hands by the front of his casual dress shirt, lifted him up off of the ground.

At that moment, the door leading into Mineta's office was busted down, and five more well-toned third year UA boys came running in, assuming positions so that Mineta was surrounded on all sides. After the boys had surrounded the now exposed criminal gang lord, Kirishima came stepping into the office, a none too happy expression on his face as his eyes met those of his disgraced former classmate.

The number three hero gently shook his head in disappointment. "...Not cool, Mineta," Kirishima said, "Not cool at all. This is all bar none the least manly thing that I've ever seen. And here I was thinking that you couldn't have done anything that would top the crap that you had gotten up to back when the two of us were still in UA." To his interns, Kirishima said, "Good job, Manly Force. We'll keep a hold of him here until things outside are taken care of."

"Yes sir, Red Riot sir!" the Manly Force all replied in unison, all of them aside from the one that was holding Mineta saluting the number three hero. Mineta couldn't believe what was going on at the moment; he had been found, caught unawares at his primary warehouse hideout, and was now under the custody of his former classmate Kirishima. And who knows what other of his properties were found and now being raided by the police and pro heroes?

After all, at the very least Kaminari, Sero, Kyoka and Kinoko were with his wife and daughter, so they must know where pretty much all of his properties and other locations he owned were located. The exposed criminal gang lord knew that everything was now over for him. There was no getting out of this for him. This whole unfortunate mess very strongly reminded Mineta of what happened to him in the past, where he was expelled from UA.

His life was ruined before, and now it had been ruined again.

It took roughly half an hour of fighting, but eventually the thugs at Mineta's primary warehouse hideout were subdued by the force of police and pro heroes who were there. There were a few injuries on both sides, including a few that would require treatment at the hospital. But luckily there were no serious injuries, and no one had been killed. The pro heroes and police counted that as a serious win.

Due to how many criminal thugs were at Mineta's primary warehouse hideout, a lot more police vans for transporting arrested criminals had to be brought in for the quirkless thugs, while thugs that had quirks had to be taken to specialized prisons for villains; due to how the wording of the law worked, the quirked thugs all qualified as villains, which is a very serious step up from being a simple criminal.

While all of that was going on, Izuku was talking to Bakugo, Todoroki and Commissioner Naomasa when Kirishima came walking up to them. The number three hero let out a resigned breath. "...I still can't believe that Fine Wine turned out to be Mineta of all people," Kirishima said, "I mean I knew that he wasn't all that manly if his past when we were in UA is anything to go by, but to become a criminal gang lord?"

"What we found just here alone ought to be enough to put Grape Head away for life," Bakugo said, "But even as we speak the teams sent to the other locations are uncovering more and more evidence, arresting more and more of Grape Head's men." Bakugo looked over to the cop car in which Mineta sat in the back seat, handcuffed and contemplating what life had for him now that his life had been ruined for a second time.

Looking back to the guys he was with, Bakugo said to Kirishima, "That boy of yours has one hell of a sharp head on his shoulders, Kirishima."

"Yeah, Komaru's theory that Principal Nezu mentioned in his personal journal turned out to have been right on the mark," Izuku said, "You ought to be proud of Komaru."

Kirishima offered an amused smirk. "...Damn straight I'm proud of my son."

"Well heroes," Naomasa said, "I ought to get Mineta down to the station. I'll be needing a few pro heroes as guards for the initial questioning when I get him down there." He looked to Izuku and Todoroki. "...I was thinking the numbers one and two would be sufficient."

"I'll just have to send a text to Reiko letting her know what I'll be up to," Todoroki replied as he went about informing his wife what he's going to be doing. Similarly, Izuku called Ochaco to let her know what he'll be up to. Many still couldn't believe it; with the arrest of Minoru Mineta, the nightmare that had been plaguing Japan for the past decade and a half had finally been brought to an end for good.

Now all that remained was cleaning up Mineta's mess.

END, CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

Author's notes;

There is going to be a lot of fallout from what went on here, as well as things revealed, to unpack. There's also the fact that Fuyuki hasn't returned to his family yet, and what all will be stemming from that will be a lot to get through. So don't go thinking that Mineta's downfall here is the end of things. On the contrary, there's still plenty to get through.

Later, skaters.
