"Mike, I think I found your guy."

Bill Tanner's words sounded divine on that cold Monday morning. Looking up from his desk filled with R&I files of potential matches for their suspect, he met the African American Detective's enthusiastic eyes.

"Here, take a look at this and let me know."

Accepting the DMV picture and file, Mike reached for his black reading glasses and saw his partner get up from his desk to join them in the office. Maybe his gut feeling had been right after all. Today would be a good day to get some much-needed answers.

"That's our guy, Bill, great job…Dylan Harris. Twenty one years old. Lives in Oakland. Six-two. One-hundred eighty pounds. One prior for distributing alcohol to minors."

Steve stepped around his desk and leaned over to look at the picture.

"Sounds like he fits the bill perfectly….So you're twenty-one years old and you get a teenage girl pregnant…", the young Inspector muttered and rested his hands on the large desk, before staring at Jeannie's picture deep in thought, "And whether this was consensual or through rape…"

"You'd be in a lot of trouble.", Mike continued, as his eyes remained fixed on the innocent looking young man in the file.

"Enough trouble to panic perhaps. And get rid of the evidence. In the worst way possible."

Steve's words made the other two detectives fall quiet for a minute. It was Mike who finally broke the silence.

"Bill, put out an APB on Dylan. Possibly armed and dangerous. Steve, let's make copies of his picture and hit the streets again. I want to ask around if anybody has seen him lately. If he's looking for Chantal, he has to be hanging around on the west side someplace. Make sure we hit up all the homeless shelters too. Oh, and did you get anywhere with the file on Chantal?"

Nodding, as the tension in the small office spread like a wildfire, Steve straightened back out and pointed at his desk.

"I already put out an APB on her this morning. I talked to Scott Sorrensen a minute ago, he said he covered all the information on our case in his staff briefing as well. I just hope that Chantal doesn't consider running away or going into hiding altogether. Especially if she heard on the news that we supposedly found her."

"Well, the chance is there, but we have to find her before Dylan does. Whatever it takes. Something tells me we're not going to like what he's after her for."
