Fading Memories
Chapter 31th
Loreile needed to stop them quickly. "I am telling you both to stop already or I will leave this house with the boys Jethro? I am sick and tire of all of your wreckless crazy shit for when it comes to the Cartel and your god damn job!" she cried out.
This time she was going to lose again with her battle. "I am going Loreile and I just don't care what you do with leaving? I need to kill this bastard once and for all?" he cried out with his response.
Even though Tobias was shaking his head at the ugly scene. "Don't you think Jethro that we should think about going after him tonight with Loreile upset like this?" Tobias said with putting in his two cents into the conversation.
"Let's go already," he ordered with taking his rifle and checking inside the barrel for the ammo.
Tobias Fornell had no choice but to listen without leaving the house. While Loreile went upstairs to have Madeline pack up the boys' things, along with herself. Loreile was going to head for the safe house knowing this was going to happen in the first place. She had spoken with the manager a week ago without saying a word to her husband that she was going to come here safely.
She was sick and tire of having her husband put them in the line of fire. She called the Evergreen safe house connecting her to the manager's office Daniel Royson now in charge. He had been working late for a change with all of the new patrons entering the safe house. He needed to finish up the endless paperwork before heading home for when his office phone was ringing. And the caller I.D. his old friend from the Marines Lt. Loriele Ann Baskins Gibbs.
"Loreile, what's going on to have you calling me at this hour of the evening?" sipping the last of his coffee and danish.
"I wanted to let you know that I am taking you up on the offer now needing the protection for my family tonight along with the D.O.D. agent posing as the nanny."
He signed. "Alright, I will get the two-quarters ready. When are you going to get here since I will let the front gate know?"
"Within the hour Daniel. So have the passes ready so that we can enter the entire safe house without anyone sounding the alarm?"
"I will get right on it now making the end of my shift extremely interesting!" he exclaimed with a deep breath into his lungs.
"Excellent old friend," she said over the phone with Madeline listening to the last of the conversation.
Tobias Fornell and Leroy Jethro Gibbs had reached the waterfront of lot B. They had parked the vehicle in one of the empty parking lots.
Both men needed to be careful. Even though Gibbs was wearing one of the special goggles in order to see in the dark. Carrying their weapons in their hands. Tobias was extremely worried about his friend having to be losing out on his wife leaving as with the two boys. Even though was pregnant with their third pregnancy.
All of a sudden they heard a noise as if someone was running in another direction.
Tobias stopped his friend with his arm. "You don't think it's him by chance?"
"I have no idea Tobias just who it might be running?" Gibbs said with his heart racing in his throat. They had started to move with Alejandro and his three associates were running away until the trap is set.
Leroy Jethro Gibbs touched his left arm as per orders by Director Vance where ever he was getting into trouble. The signal was being directed to the communications center of NCIS and the software program of the Senior Field Agent Timothy McGee at home.
Gibbs saw someone running into a small building on the waterfront. He fired three times to miss him. "Come on?" he said with his usual tone to drive his friend crazy.
Inside the building, Alejandro and his friends were waiting. Once Fornell ran ahead of him with his rifle. Gibbs screamed for him to wait. "TOBIAS WAIT! All of a sudden three shots were fired into Tobias' head and chest killing him instantly.
"OMG!" Gibbs cried out as he fired blindly. When he's hit himself into the leg. "PLEASE GOD I DON'T WISH TO DIE?" HE screamed as he touched his left arm again...
"Hold it right there Gibbs?" Alejandro Riveria needed to say to his long-time enemy. "Take his weapon away from the bastard and move him to the room we prepared to question him.
"How dare you kill my friend. When I get the chance I am going to kill you, Alejandro?" he screamed as one of his men kicked him into his bleeding wound leaving a trail of blood...
Back at NCIS Communications center. One of the employees working the board was receiving the GPS tracker on Special Agent Gibbs.
Agent Victoria Tyler came in with coffee for her friend Communications specialist Angela Davis. She looked on her face wondering..."What's wrong Angela?" she placed the coffees onto the table.
"This is a signal coming from Special Agent Gibbs transceiver. It's been turned on as if he's in trouble."
"Damn! Can you get the coordinates for where he might be located. Director Leon Vance needs to be advised?"
Angela went to work with bringing up the software onto the screen and the coordinates. "I have them Victoria. He's in trouble as it shows that his vitals are dropping. He's down by the waterfront."
"I need to call Vance now. This is a serious matter?" she exclaimed with pulling out her cell phone to call Vance.
He was sitting on his living room couch relaxing while his girlfriend Melissa just left for work at the Pentagon working for the next two days.
He was agitated mostly after a long hard day at the Naval Yards. His cell phone was sitting on the coffee table vibrating. "Damn!" It was Victoria Tyler. It had to be serious to have her calling at this time.
