Everybody was packing and getting ready to move to their new destination. Eric to Africa. Michael and I to Milwaukee. Steven and Jackie to Chicago.

We were hanging out in the Formans basement. Matthew was with Michael's parents so he could spend more time with them before we move.

"Donna, look, there's something really important I need you to do for me." Eric told her as he sat on the back of the couch.

"Eric, I don't care if you're going to Africa. I'm not doing that." Donna shook her head and watched TV.

I suppressed a laugh as I flipped a page of my magazine.

"Just, please, don't let my Mom plan this fancy send off for me, okay?" Eric begged. He was going to leave for Africa in two days and didn't want his mother to make a fuss over it. She definitely would anyway, no matter what Eric requested. "I can see her planning this embarrassing farewell with, like, music and banners and, like, doves."

"Oh, but, Eric, Momma loves her baby," Laurie teased her brother as she came downstairs with Fez. "Her little baby is going to leave the nest. Forever."

"It's only for a year."

"Try telling her that," She muttered, rolling her eyes and then her face had softened for him. "I think I'm actually going to miss you."

Eric didn't expected that as it caught him off guard. "Really? Thanks, Laurie. I'm going to miss you, too, I guess."

"Eric, I just want you to know that, uh..." Fez started to say, but couldn't finish it because he got too emotional. "Oh, here comes the waterworks!" He wiped a few from his eyes.

"He's mostly the sensitive one in this relationship." Laurie cringed at her husband trying not to cry.

"I can't believe I have to take vaccine shots," Eric groaned. "I do not do well with pain."

"Oh, relax, Forman, you'll hardly feel a thing." Steven comforted. He sat on his chair and was reading a magazine, too.

"Man, but I hate needles." He pouted like a scared child afraid of going to the doctor.

"Steven's right, Eric. It'll be over before you know it. Did you give birth to a baby?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. To have him stop worrying and complaining over shots. It annoyed me to be honest.

Childbirth was the most excruciating things I ever went through in my entire life. Sure, the baby was worth it and I'd love to have more, but pushing another human being was very hard and intense.

He looked at me strangely knowing it was impossible for males to give birth. "Uh...no."

"Then you really don't know pain." I shook my head.

Eric sighed. "You're right. You win."

The next day at Grooves, Leo came walking in. Haven't seen the old, senile guy in forever. My brother and Leo was really close to each other.

"Hey, Hyde, man. Rachel." Leo greeted us.

"Hey, man."

"Hey, Leo."

"Listen, I want some tunes, so I need to find a record store."

I tried not to smirk and glanced over at my brother in amusement.

"Leo, you're in a record store." Steven pointed out.

Leo looked like he suddenly got transported here. "Woah, that was fast, man!"

I couldn't help, but to laugh. Ah, good old Leo.

"Hey, Leo? Steven did something to Jackie." I told him as a surprise unable to contain my excitement.

"What?" He looked at my brother. "You got loud girl knocked up or something?"

Steven tried not to smile and I knew he rolled his eyes behind his shades.

"No! He proposed to Jackie!" I revealed, letting my excitement out.

"You proposed to her? I always knew you were in love with loud girl! Congrats, man!" Leo happily said and patted onto Steven's shoulder. "When are you two going to get hitched?"

"We haven't set a date yet, man, but you'll get invited." Steven answered.

"Thanks, man!" Leo grinned. "I can't wait to be your Best Man!"

With that, Leo walked out of the record store. I gave a look to my brother with a raised eyebrow that Leo claimed to be the Best Man first.

"You're seriously not going to make Leo be the best man, are you?" I asked, but it sounds more like a plead.

"No," He scoffed. "Even Forman can do a better job of that. Leo will forget about this conversation the second he walked out of the door anyway."

After thinking about it, I nodded my head in agreement.

After work, I picked up Matthew at Kitty's and went home. Maybe when I'm in Milwaukee, I could find a good and trustworthy babysitter or even send him to a Daycare Center while Michael and I would be at work. Kitty reminded me of Eric's 'secret' going away party and that I have to be there. I promised I would because there would be no way that Eric would leave without getting a goodbye from me.

I started to pack what Michael and I have into suitcases and moving boxes. He was with Eric getting vaccination shots for Africa as a way to repay him for getting rabies shots. I didn't fully understand, but I learned quickly about Michael that I shouldn't ask too many questions that I didn't want to know. Steven and Jackie could keep the apartment while they still have time left before they leave for Chicago.

When he came back, he'll watch over Matthew while I say goodbye to Eric. He already had his own goodbye when he took the shots with him. I went to the Formans not liking to think too much about Eric leaving, that the gang was splitting up, but I know it's all for the best.

All of us was already there and we got told by Kitty (who was more excited about Eric's going away party than the rest of us) to go into the garage and stay quiet. Red just got finished talking to Eric and Donna would be waiting outside for him at the Vista Cruiser.

We all tried to stay quiet and listened to Eric and Donna's private conversation.

"Does anyone know what they're saying?" Fez whispered.

"Shhh!" All of us had shushed him except for Steven and Red who rolled their eyes. They acted like they didn't care.

"Listen to me, Donna. I love you so much. You know, you're my best friend. And I...I love you." I heard Eric profess to Donna making me smile.

I'm glad and happy for Eric that he was with Donna in the end instead of me. He was happier and more in love with her. I was just in love with the idea of being with my crush. And that's all that he was to me.

Eric Forman was my very first crush. The first time I thought I was actually in love was when Michael Kelso came along and my heart changed about him. We had our first child together. And maybe some more in the future.

"I love you, too, Eric," Donna said. "And I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"For this," She yelled louder for us. "Okay, guys!"

Well, that was our cue.

Red pressed the button to open the garage door. We all walked out smiling for Eric. Kitty and Donna's father, Bob, was holding balloons.

"Surprise!" We all happily yelled walking out of the garage.

"Mom," Eric groaned. Him and Donna was sitting on the hood of the car and got off to greet us. "Oh, you know what? Who am I kidding? I wanted this!"

At least he was finally accepting it. Kitty always loved to baby and fuss over Eric.

"Oh, Eric!" Fez cried and hugged him.

"It'll be okay, Fez," Eric comforted as he patted on his back. "It's only for a year."

Fez let go of him to pout. "A very long year," He sadly sighed. "I hope you'll get there safe."

"Thanks, man." Eric appreciated and clapped him on his shoulder.

Next was Steven's turn and he handed Eric a brown paper bag.

"Here you go, Forman. A little going away gift."

"Oh, thanks, man," Eric opened it and got confused. "Hyde, this bag is empty."

"Yeah. I heard about the stuff they have over in Africa. Fill that bad boy up, send it back to me."

Of course Steven would do that.

Eric smiled and they hugged each other and then Jackie approached to him after Steven stepped away.

"I know we have never been very close." Jackie began.

"That's an understatement." Eric muttered.

"But now that you're leaving, I think I'm actually going to miss you and that makes me sad. I wish we could've been better friends. I'm just gonna miss you is all, okay? So, just take care of yourself in Africa."

Eric looked surprised at what Jackie said and I was too. Even I felt touched.

"Okay, I will." He replied.

They didn't hug or anything, but gave each other respectful nods and kind smiles which was better than anything.

Then I came to Eric for my own goodbye and I hope I won't cry in front of everyone else, and especially, him.

"So, this is really it, huh?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, looks like it."

"This is so surreal. All of us are leaving. Promise you'll visit Michael and I in Milwaukee after you get back?"

"Yeah, of course. And I love to see Matthew, too. You're a great Mom, Rachel."

I smiled, appreciating his compliment. "Thanks, Eric. You were my first crush ever, you know? My first love even though that sounds cheesy, but it's true."

"Yeah, you told me that before," He fondly smiled at me. "I really liked every moment that we had while we dated."

"Me, too." I remembered.

"You were the one who got me out of my depression. And I saw you more than just being Hyde's sister. Maybe we could've made it."

"Maybe," I agreed thinking we could still be in a relationship right now probably. But the more I thought about it, I like my life just the way it is. "But I like how things are right now."

"You're taking care of yours and Kelso's baby." Eric pointed out.

"And you're going to Africa." I also pointed out.

"It feels like I'm doing something with a purpose in my life."

"I hope you really like it over there and that you're happy and safe. I'll miss you."

We hugged each other and I whispered in his ear knowing he'll like it.

"May the Force be with you, Eric."

Eric just looked at me and a broad grin came onto his cute and adorable face and then he hugged me much closer this time. I wrapped my arms tighter around him, too.

His mother came to say goodbye for last and Kitty hugged him until she wouldn't let go. Red had to pull her away from him. He didn't say goodbye to Eric, but maybe they had a father and son moment earlier in private. Red wouldn't do something like that in public to everyone. Bob brought out a band for Eric's departure.

Donna and Eric got in the car together.

"So long, Point Place!" Eric's hand waved with his head out of the driver's window.

Then he started his car, but it wouldn't work. Red made all of us push the car from the back and out of the driveway. Eric tried to start it again, and with our help, he managed to drive away in his Vista Cruiser.

"Well, that's everything, I think!" Michael said and we looked over at all of our packed stuff. "We should put this in the van."

It's been some days since Eric left for Africa and we're about to leave for Milwaukee today soon. Steven, Michael, and I lifted the heavy boxes and suitcases to put in the van. Jackie would help, but she didn't want to and claimed that she should tend to Matthew instead. I didn't have a problem with that and neither did Steven. I think he really likes the image of her holding the baby anyway.

I hope that meant I'd get some nieces and nephews soon.

After we were done, Michael and I was going to say our goodbyes to them. Jackie handed Matthew to me and I held him close to my chest. He was wide awake, making his usual cute baby noises.

Michael and Steven was saying their own goodbyes and had a 'guy hug' while I was talking to Jackie.

"Well, I guess we'll see each other soon, Barbie," I used my old nickname for her. In the beginning, I used to really hate Jackie, but now I'm friends with her. I surprise myself that I'm sad about leaving her. I'd never thought she'd become my sister-in-law. "I can't believe I'm going to miss you. I mean, who else will I have in Milwaukee that'll boss me around and make me listen to ABBA?"

Even though their music was grating to my ears, thanks to Jackie, I found myself liking a few of their catchy songs.

"You know I'll miss you, too, Rachel. We did promise to visit each other so that's what we'll have to do."

"Good. You better treat my brother right." I added protectively.

"Of course I will, Rachel," She rolled her eyes. "We're going to get married. And don't tell Donna this, but I've already decided you'll be my Maid of Honor."

"Really?!" I asked in excitement and disbelief.

"Yeah! I can't have Donna's man hands holding my ring so I trust you."

Wordlessly, I hugged Jackie even though I had my baby in the way.

Then we switched and I talked to Steven. Michael and Jackie had their moment as they talked to each other.

"Can I hold Matt?" Steven asked which was a first. I was surprised.

"Really? You never wanted to hold him before."

"Yeah, well, I know I won't see the little guy in a while so I should say goodbye to my nephew."

He replied making my heart swell and I tried not to cry as I pass my son over to my brother. He held Matthew in his arms and spoke to him. "Alright, kid. Don't give your Mom a hard time, okay? Listen to her and do whatever she says. She loves you a lot and so do I. I'm the cool uncle," I rolled my eyes at that. "As for your Dad, take it easy on him. He's not that bright unlike your Mom-"

"Steven!" I scolded while laughing.

"When you're older, I'll tell you everything you need to know."

To make it even more touching, he kissed Matt's forehead. Something I personally never saw him do before. Steven really was getting closer to him.

"So, I was thinking that the four of us could get together on next Saturday to catch up after we got ourselves situated. You guys can come over to us." Steven was talking to me now with Matt still comfortably in his arms.

"Okay, that sounds good," I approved, nodding my head. "Then next time, you guys can visit us. Deal?"

"Deal." He settled the arrangement and I hugged him as much as I could with my son being in the way.

Later, Michael and I was in the van and we already said our goodbyes to Steven and Jackie. They were going to leave soon for Chicago and we're already driving on our way to Milwaukee listening to a song from the Grateful Dead, the band that brought us together.

It's the start of a brand new life.
