Chapter 32 Duck Tracy the Private Eye

Takes place after chapter 30 -The Angel who Cried Wolf

and a little before the chapter 21- Headlock Number

Daffy Duck intro Prov.

Daffy was inside the Hospital and he needed a breath of fresh air!

This hospital sinks!

Even the Police Sinked!

The police where no help!

Whoever trashed Bugs Office and left Bugs in a coma!

Those people where responsible for this mess!

But it was a Toon who did the job so no Finger prints!

Daffy wanted to Look for the Culprit himself!

but Porky told him no!

And the Police tired to stop Daffy, as well, saying this was a job for the Police!

Well Daffy told Them they should do there Job Right and catch those A-Hole's!

Porky held the police back and told them Daffy was just grieving!

Ha!

Daffy knew he wasn't grieving!

So Bugs looked so lifeless in that bed with a oxygen mask on, bugs fur didn't even look brushed, Bugs had bags under his eye lids! Oh why couldn't that Despicable Rabbit Wake up already! This Rabbit couldn't be Bugs in that bed, Daffy didn't want to believe it!

Porky told Daffy it was ok to cry.

And that what lead to Daffy yelling at Porky, all with tears poring down Daffy's face.

' Why would I Cry?! Im glad That self Absorbed Jerk was gone! The way how he always eat'd carrot's all the time! Nibbling it like a addiction! Even carrot cake! He'd alway got all the Fans! Just by looking cute! They Loved him more then me! I worked harder then Bugs and would get more hurt then he ever did! Meanwhile! Ive had a gun pointed at me an survived getting shot at gun point, Blown up, lost in Bug's Tunnel's underground, and Thrown off building's! Oh! And How Bugs would act like none of that mattered! Bug's would smile at me and call me his 'Duck' (not Doc) or he'd call me 'My Daffy' ! Like I belonged to HIM! Or the few times he called me his 'Hero'! '

That's when Daffy ran out of the Hospital sobbing like a baby!

Daffy could hear Porky call out to Daffy.

' Wait Daffy come back! ' Porky called Daffy to come back.

But Porky didn't follow Daffy. Why well Porky didn't know how to calm Daffy down when he was like this and Porky didn't want to get hurt by Daffy. Porky really hoped Lola would come back soon. She was so much more better with getting Daffy to deal with his feeling's. But Bugs was even better…

Daffy was happy nobody followed him!

Daffy needed to yell at himself to get it together!

The sound of the tweeting birds and the sunny day in Hospital Gardens with flowers and trees. It all made Daffy angry and mad! how could the sky be so pretty and blue with clouds! when it should be raining— to match how Daffy was feeling! Not even Nature wanted to cry with Daffy! It was like nature told Daffy— Ha! Im have have good day, why not you? Daffy wanted go all Tasmanian devil and destroy the place! But before Daffy could make even more mistakes.

Just as more tears started to fall.

That's Daffy's cell phone kept on ringing.

Daffy dried his eye's an Answered the phone call.

' Who is this?! This is a bad time right now!? Im in crisis—-'

Betty interrupted. ' Daffy it's me Betty Boop! I found out Bugs Bunny was in a coma as well as some other Toons I know! and I want to help! I have a witness to the coma case! But nobody believe's him! Not even the police! '

' Im listening! Talk Girl! '

' I can get you to meet him! The other Toons I mentioned are—- '

But Daffy interrupted Betty.

' Where are you calling Toot's?!'

' At work at the 'Ink and Paint Club' in the bathroom? '

'Is it a locked One stall? '

' Yes? Daffy this is hardly the time! '

' No this is the time! I have a feeling your being watched! No more sensitive talking on the phone! both of you meet me at the Ink an Paint club! At 4 AM tomorrow before it opens! I have a key to the place an let you in! Try to get your witness there safely Ok! '

Betty didn't know Mugman personally.

' I don't know the guy personally but I know someone who does. '

' You must get him there at all cost! '

' But why so early in the morning? '

Truthfully Daffy Duck was Not Betty's first Toon Betty tried to call for help. Betty had tried calling many other Toon's before calling Daffy Duck. Betty First tried Calling Jessica Rabbit but she didn't pick up! Betty then tried show girl Red Hot Riding hood from Tex Avery, and she didn't answer!

Betty then thought there not as popular as they used to be maybe they might help! so Betty tried calling Alvin and the Chipmunks, Nope no answer! Betty even tried Yogi Bear!

Even the Toons who didn't go missing from her apartment Betty couldn't get a hold of! Like Pink Panther, the Magpies, Mighty Mouse. The Magpies flew far away to somewhere! Pink Panther who knows where he went! And Mighty Mouse wouldn't come out of his hole!

Betty also knew Calling famous Toons might not even work! Most likely they would NOT answer, but she tried anyway!

Like trying calling Bugs Bunny only to find out Bug's Bunny was in a coma to! Betty tried Calling Tom and Jerry nope no answer! Betty tried calling Garfield but he never answered.

Or Mickey Mouse only to get a voice answering Machine no surprise there! Why would that Mouse help her anyway! But none of those Toons answered there phone!

None of the Looney Tunes where answering ether!

Betty was soon losing real hope! Betty had called everyone on her phone number list!

It was the last Looney Tunes phone number in Betty's list!

And Daffy Duck answered!

Later Betty got Mugman's number from Bendy. Betty Boop was able to type message to Mugman at her work that she just talked to someone who could help and they wanted to meet him.

Mugman knew it might be trap like what happened to him before with Boris. but he trusted Betty Boop's judgement. So Mugman sneaked away from Alice. Mugman didn't want Alice anymore involved. The address was sent to him threw his cell phone!

Mugman couldn't get a Uber since it was so late at night but he had Google maps and he ran fast. Strangely Mugman made it early to the club before Betty. Mugs hoped nobody followed him. Betty lied to everyone telling them she had to work early for a event. Mug's had to wait about half an hour for Betty to come. Betty found Mugman. Betty showed the back way to the door of Ink and Paint. Betty knocked at the door of Ink and Paint.

And Daffy Duck opened the door

In hushed tone he spoke.

' Come in I hope you two weren't spotted! '

When both Betty and Mug's got in Daffy lead them to a back room the was only one lamp on. There was no windows. Daffy sat down in his comfortable leather chair. Daffy spoke in deep voice. Daffy never even noticed but this moment he never sounded so cool!

' This is dangerous time's we live in! —-

—-A group of Toons went missing in broad day light, Building's where destroyed —Not only that a great number of Toons are in Coma's with no word who did it!

This was not all a Coincidence! But I do, Believe this is a Organized Crime! Ive suspected a Group crime is at work! But till now Ive had no leads! Betty this is the witness you've talked of? '

' Yes. '

Betty said meekly.

Daffy in gruff voice stated. ' Well get to your side of the story soon Toot's! '

Daffy went to look directly at Mug's! The light of the lamp now Illuminating his Duck face!

' So Sonny Talk! And make it good! '

For a while Mugman couldn't tell who this hooded person was in a brown color hood.

Wait was this person who Mug's thought was?!

This Duck looked hadn't slept in weeks.

' Wait I know you! Your D—! '

But Daffy interrupted fast! And held out his hand in front of Mug's Face~!

' —-Stop! Right Now Im not that! You all will call me 'Duck Tracy' ! '

'….Ok… Duck Tracy!'

' Good now shall we! '

Both Betty and Mugs nodded there head!

It's a good thing Mugman was interrupted! Mugman would of said Donald Duck not Daffy Duck!

And then we would have a very Angry Looney Duck!

Mugman was at loss for words Completely unaware what was going on?!

However Betty knew what was happening. Daffy needed a way to cope with loss of Bugs. But Daffy was a actor! So right now Daffy was playing the part of Duck Tracy the Detective! 'Duck Tracy' was a part from one of Daffy's old Looney Tunes Movies. Betty knew Daffy was acting crazy right now. But maybe being 'Duck Tracy' would give the Confidence Daffy didn't know he had in real life! So Betty was wiling to play along with Daffy's act for now! Poor Betty she already put her hope in Popeye and that failed. What did Betty have left to lose!

Betty cut in.

' I'll start ~~it all started when a Little Game Toon Devil came my apartment with note from a long dead friend. He told us my long lost friend brought him to The Old Toon Town and now was in trouble. He was fighting for his life. I was told to burn the note but I didn't.'

' Did you bring it? '

' It's in my purse.'

Betty started to dig in her purse.

' Here it is. '

' This is just you address Betty? '

' Yes but I know who's hand writing it is. '

' Who is it? '

' Felix the cat.'

' Who? '

' You know Felix. '

' I can't remember him. '

' Wait! '

Betty dig'd in her purse again and pulled out a old photo of Felix.

And handed it to Daffy I mean Duck Tracy.

Daffy didn't say anything. but took a photo of both note and photo of Felix with his cell phone then handed back the picture.

' Anything else? '

' Olive Oyl remembered how to get to old Toon Town so she lead. Popeye, Underdog, and Casper to the old Town. All four of them left but never came back! '

Betty started to cry and Mugman being nice handed her Kleenex to wipe her tears.

' Wait?! did you say Casper? How could they capture a ghost! '

' I don't know? '

Then Daffy turned to Mugman.

' Now whats you story kid? '

' Well it all started when a unknown person was able to enter mine and my brother Cuphead's game world! Without being invited! I cant remember who this person was exactly. but I know they ether brainwashed me to forget there face! but If I saw them I would definitely remember them! He put my brother into a coma!

After my bother went into a coma from what I heard Bendy met up with Felix. Then Felix was captured. Betty told you the rest about that how Popeye, Casper, Olive Oyl, and Underdog went missing. Bendy called Me and Boris for help. We were going to meet up with Betty to save

But this person I do remember is not the same person I saw at the destruction of the parts of Toon Town! This person was black an very small but they had so much power! They toppled building's with just a wave of there wrist! Boris was there with me and distracted them from finding out, I was there! I saw what they did and there was nothing I could do to stop it! '

' What did they do? '

' This small Toon ripped the heart right of Boris chest! '

' I thought for sure I was going to be next! But then they melted away into a puddle and disappeared! But nobody but Betty believe's me! '

' I believe you kid! '

Mugman had his face clasped in his hands and looked threw his finger's at Daffy.

' Really?'

' This is no normal group where dealing with! You where lucky to get out alive! If one of them can enter a game world without being invited, destroy building's, capture a ghost —who can go threw walls, they take Toons Heart's and put the heartless Toon's into a coma! I will bring these Ass Hats to Justice! Now Betty think back, who else knows beside's You and this kid about what happened? '

' Well Bendy was with me the entire time. Pink panther was out and doesn't know what happened yet. The Magpie's they left so they didn't see Bendy yet. Mighty Mouse Doesn't know ether. '

' Betty think hard! Is Bendy alone at the Apartment right now! '

' No? Woody's with him? Why? '

' Was Woody there to see Bendy tell everyone about Felix missing? Or was Woody at the apartment when almost all your Apparent Tenants went missing? '

' Now that you mention it, I didn't see, Woody after while I cant remember when he left but he was there after the accident…'

' Betty, is Bendy really alone with Woody right now? '

Daffy suddenly stood up so fast his chair fell and crashed to the ground!

' Betty we have to go to your apartment right away! I believe your friend Bendy might be in danger! '

' Why? '

' No time to talk! We have to go now! '

Daffy gets to the door with Betty and Mugman behind him. Daffy Hesitates at the door. Daffy realizes he doesn't know how to really get to Betty house.

' Betty you lead the way I don't know how to get to your house… '

Betty crosses her arms and her face frown's.

' Not till you tell me why where going to my home! '

Daffy raised his hands a stated. ' Isn't it obvious Toot's! Woody the Woodpecker is clearly the culprit or at least working with the enemy! '

Betty sighed in aggravation and rubbed her face with her hands. ' You have no real proof Woody guilty! Ive have Woody as a Tenant of my apartment for a long time! Also Woody cant even talk anymore! '

Daffy Countered. ' Has he told you why he doesn't talk anymore? Has done any Suspicious Behavior?! '

Betty huffed. ' No he hasn't told me why! I assume it was a very tragic accident that made Woody not able to talk! Woody helps out around the apartment! Woody helps Olive Oyl cook! Or at least used to before Olive Oyl disappeared.

Woody always pays his rent on time! Woody even help's out with delivering the mail to the other people in the apartment! '

Daffy cried out pointing with his finger. ' Yes the mail! But you must Realize Betty Toons cant lose there voice like humans can they can just paint it back or buy a new voice box! unless they have something to hide! I bet Woody can talk just fine an has been hiding it this whole time! '

Betty just didn't want to argue anymore with Daffy. She didn't want to harass Woody but she needed to clear Woody's name of all Suspicion. Betty really hope'd Woody wasn't the culprit.

' Fine lets go to my Apartment! Daffy you can question Woody- but remember he's innocent till proven guilty! '

' Then lead the way Toot's! '

Betty started to walk fast. Betty ignored the rude anti woman comment. Daffy was a Looney Tune, she knew there was no point in arguing with him!

All this time Mugman followed them behind them. Mugman knew he could speak up and tell Betty was going back to Hospital to sleeping comatose Cuphead and Boris. But Mugman changed his mind. Mugman wanted to be there to help if he could! Mugman was tried of waiting with nothing to do— but hope for a Miracle! Mugman was going to find these people— and they where going to pay! This Duck who Betty called Daffy. This Daffy Duck might have crazy ideas and he's jumping to Conclusions. But it was new ideas to work with! Mugman had no idea's to go with! So these ideas where better then nothing! But by the time Mugman was done thinking while following behind Betty and Daffy Duck, Betty Boop spoke up.

' Well where here! '

Daffy huffed out. ' What a dump! '

—Betty gave Daffy the angry eye.— Daffy gave a grin and smiled.

' I mean It's nice place! ' And Daffy whispered to himself. —Yah nice place for rat's and mold to grow!—

They walked up the old step's. And came to Betty's apartment door. Betty open'ed it with her key's. Inside it was eerily quite. but that was to be expected many of the Toons who used to live in Betty's apartment where gone and missing. Poor Betty didn't even have time to grieve for her loss again. Betty called out into the apartment.

' Im Home! '

There was no answer, Betty walked into the now empty apartment.

' Woody and Bendy where are you I need to talk with two! '

Betty walked into the living room. All this time Daffy stayed in the hallway. Daffy motion with his hands for Mugman to stay in the closet. Mugman followed his direction's. Daffy hid himself from view has he heard Betty. Betty walked into he living room.

' Oh there you are Woody I found you! Do you know where Bendy is? ' asked Betty.

Woody was playing a puzzle game in the living room. Wood held up a note pad. That said —- Bendy went to the hospital —

' Oh I guess it makes sense His friend Boris and Cuphead are still at the Hospital. But I was hoping for him to meet someone! '

Woody wrote down on the notepad —-Who?—-

Betty then turned around and called out. ' Daffy where are you come out now?! '

If Betty would of been looking at Woody his eyes where risen wide like Saucers!

Then Daffy Duck came around the corner his glare was a cold stone face etched on his face this was not the —-screw lose— faking it— acting— anger of Looney Tune. this was anger unlike none other. Daffy knew this the was time for him to shine he had to make this Toon confess to his crimes! Daffy in his pocket had his cell phone on recored the recored would be sent to to his blue tooth. Porky Pig had the password to this account an if anything where to happen to Daffy. Porky could use this video recording as evidence! Daffy didn't tell Betty Boop the real reason why Daffy suspected Woody. In the past Woody hated Bugs Bunny. Why? Well if you didn't Know it in the past himself, Porky Pig, Bugs Bunny and Woody the Woodpecker they had the same Original voice actor 'Mel Balnc' ! Woody only wanted 'Mel Balnc' to voice him. Not anyone else! Woody was very selfish! Ok so was Daffy but Woody took it on a weird level. Woody also hated Mickey Mouse! Woody also clearly stated his hatred of the mouse! Woody hated being not a popular then Bugs and Mickey. Now so did Daffy but later Daffy was able to make peace with them. But Woody never made peace, nor did it look like he ever wanted to make peace! Daffy for years wanted to stay far away from this bird. When Bugs told Daffy they should congratulate Woody's new movie in 2017. Daffy told Bugs not to it to leave that crazy bird alone! But Bugs never listened and when and said congratulations anyway. Just like Daffy thought Woody ignored Bugs. Sadly in way Woody reminded Daffy of what He himself could of been like if Daffy didn't have Bugs in his life. Daffy's love for that Bunny overshadowed his hate sometimes. Not that Daffy would ever admit to that to Bugs! But now it was Daffy's chance to save Bugs!

' Hello Woody. '

In a shaking hand Woody wrote—- Hello Duck —-

Daffy Duck shook his head he was already tired of this bull-shit!

' Lets cut to the chase- Woody! We both know you can talk just fine! So just give me back Bugs heart now! And while where at it the other heart's you Stole! '

Woody stood up from the puzzle game and dropped the note pad. Woody then uttered words.

' Let us take this outside, Duck, I don't want to ruin Betty's home. '

Woody then jumped out the window. Daffy followed right behind out the window! Daffy grabbed the drain pipe and slide right down to the ground. The Chase was on! As Daffy chase Woody down the Toon Town street, Daffy Shouted back at Woody.

' Where is Bugs heart?! I know you did it! Give it back! It belongs to me! '

As Daffy Pursued Woody down every street corner it almost seemed like Daffy would catch him. Daffy then remembered he had his gun inches hammer-space still. Daffy also had his wooden Hamer but he figured this situation needed the big guns. If he could just graze Woody's legs with a bullet. Daffy didn't want to kill Woody he need Woody alive for questioning. Daffy aimed and fired- sadly he missed. Woody didn't make things better and taunted Daffy.

' Be careful someone could of gotten shot! '

Woody then ran up some stair's.

' I only wanted to shoot you! '

' You do know they could put you in jail for a unlicensed fire arm right? '

' It will be cosy jail for both me and you! '

' Can't we just talk this over! '

Without thinking Daffy yelled.

' No! '

This time Daffy was thinking right and hit latter to a fire escape of a apartment. the latter fell down right onto Woody trading him inside the holes of the Latter.

Daffy grabbed Woody by the neck and slammed Woody to the brick wall. Daffy was high in adrenaline from the chase. For a moment Woody looked scared Daffy looked like a real hunter hunting for his prey! The things you do when your crazy in love!

' Now Talk Woody! '

' What do you want me to say Duck? '

' Where's the heart's you stole and who'r are you working for?! '

' Firstly the only heart I stole was Mickey Mouse's heart! Not Bugs Bunny! And Im Working for the Forgotten Toon's who have no heart's! '

' You stole that Mouse's heart?! Are you crazy do you want the whole Disney Crew to be after you?! Why would you do that?! '

' I did it all for my little Rabbit! He thinks he can become friends with his younger brother with no consequences! That Rabbit is supposed to work for me in Universal not Disney! That Rabbit used to hate the Mouse just as much as I do! That Rabbit made friends with people who hated the Mouse-RAT! That Rabbit betrayed ME by forgiving that Mickey Mouse! Taking Bugs heart was just start of something so much bigger then I could ever know about! The Lost Toon's will rise again there already here using the stolen hearts to walk among us! '

While Woody was talking Daffy couldn't understand a word of it and Daffy would of won. Right behind he hand was his wooden hammer Daffy was going to Knock out Woody. But Daffy didn't know Woody was stalling for time.

' But Yes! Oswald the Lucky Rabbit you'll rule the day you ever betrayed me! '

Now I never explained how this spell works for those who never met Oswald the forgotten king. The Spell make it so you forget what you where doing for a while. But what Woody didn't know was that Daffy was recording the whole conversation! That recording is proof of Oswalds existent's. All Daffy would need to do would be to re-listen to that recording and have all the proof Daffy needed.

Daffy then held his head to his face

' What was I doing?! '

Woody grin'd an happily said. ' You where going to set me free? '

' No! Give me back Bug's Heart! ' Just because Daffy didn't remember Woody confessing to the crime- doesn't mean Daffy still wasn't Suspicious of Woody for taking Bugs heart!

' But I don't have it! ' Woody shrugged his shoulder's

' You ran away that means your guilty of the crime! ' Daffy's logic was spot on! For once in his life!

' If Im guilty then you shouldn't have left Betty alone. '

Daffy made a horror look. Betty was in danger and there was nothing he could do to save her!

' You wouldn't stoop so low! '

' No not me but the Toons who took Bugs heart would! I was just trying to protect her from them! '

' No you where just trying to protect yourself! '

Suddenly out of the corner of Daffy's site something was coming right at Daffy but Daffy wasn't going to take the hit this time Daffy dogged the attack! Only for the attack to accidentally hit Woody knocking him out cold. Daffy turned to look to his attacker. It was Felix the cat but white? But we all know it was really Alex!

Before Daffy could even try to talk to Alex. Alex used his black magic bag to grab Daffy by the torso then throw Daffy hard into a brick wall! Now most Toons would be hurt but Daffy was used to pain. And Daffy was losing it who was this?! It wasn't Felix! Daffy tried to shoot his gun only for the Black Magic bag to grab the bullet in mid air! Daffy continued to dogged the hands of the black magic bag! And strangely Daffy faired better then Bendy or Ponidexter against's Alex Magic Bag. But even Daffy knew he didn't know how to keep on dogging this Magic bag forever.

' Missed Me! 'Daffy yelped.

Daffy knew he could get away so the best option was retreat! But how to get away from this guy!? Wait the street is full of traffic! Daffy will just run into the street and jump a moving car. Daffy wasn't scared he was Loony Tune he could do this! Pain was only the beginning if he was to save Bugs! So yah Daffy would jump into on going traffic for Bug's! Daffy continued to taunt the creepy cat who didn't talk. Daffy was soon getting closer to traffic. Success Daffy crossed the street before the red light! After the cars passed by Alex did not know where Daffy went!? Alex didn't know Daffy grabbed the side of a moving fast bus. Daffy kept on hoping car's worried this cat guy was still following him! Then Daffy remembered Betty Boop she was in trouble!

Normally Daffy wouldn't go back to save someone but Daffy felt he owed Betty! Daffy took the fastest way to Betty's apartment only to find the place destroyed. Then Daffy remembered Mugman in the closet! Daffy opened the closet only to find Mugman crying and sill hiding in the closet! Mugman saw Daffy and ran and gave him a hug. Daffy did not want a hug he was still in pain from his battle!

' It was him the small Toon who took Boris Heart! he did this! I ran hid before he could find me! '

' Kid where's Betty?! '

' I don't know..'

' You where supposed to protect her! '

Mugman started to cry. Daffy grabbed Mugman by the shoulder's hard!

' This is not the time to cry kid! help me find her! '

Mugman nodded yes.

They looked threw out the apartment. Then they found her lying on the ground. She was still breathing! But Daffy put his head to Betty chest to hear her hear- her heart was gone!

' Those Despicable Ass's took her heart! '

They where to late to save Betty!

Mugman gasp's in horror! Daffy already was calling the police and a ambulance.

Hours Latter after getting Betty to the hospital.

After Daffy listens to the auto of his recording's. The voice recording would make Daffy be able to remember Oswalds name! But not who Oswald was! only Woody wanted revenge against this Oswald person. Who was this Oswald was he human or what animal? But now Daffy knew why Woody Woodpecker took Mickey Mouse's heart! And something about Mickey having a older brother? Daffy knew he had enough proof to get another Toon on his side! So Daffy called Donald Duck for help. Daffy knew he was way over his head on this one! And Bugs Bunny wasn't the only Toon who lost there heart Mickey Mouse did to! And Now Daffy had the proof that Woody took Mickey Mouse's heart! Daffy was willing to put aside his differences with Donald if it meant getting Bugs Back! Also Daffy needed someone who knew magic! And Donald knew Toon Magic well!

Mugman Begged Daffy not to get anyone else involved!

Only for Daffy to turn his head and yell at Mugman.

' I haven't given up yet have you?! '

Mugman nodded his head yes had given up.

' Then I want nothing more to do with you! If your not willing to fight for your friends then Leave! These Toon's mean WAR! '

Mugman ran back to the Hospital restroom crying.

Daffy didn't want to go after the sap Mugman! Daffy wasn't going to babysit him! No! Daffy was going Woodpecker and Cat Hunting!
