Chapter Thirty Two

Jin POV

Yoongi had finally come around sometime that night. Namjoon and I sat in the corner with him as he explained to us what had happened in the last several weeks. It was a lot of trauma and hardship he had endured, and I was glad he was no longer alone. I had noticed the large cut on his arm, to which he explained the knife incident just a couple days ago with Tom. He also told us about how Cride was considering helping us out of this hell hole. Only I wasn't sure how he would be able to pull that off with the other men here. We sat now with Yoongi in between us, Namjoon on his left and myself on the right. He had his head leaned against my shoulder, drifting in and out of sleep it seemed. He was beyond exhausted. To the point where he could barely stand on his own anymore. It was from the combination of lack of sleep, constant torment from these men, and little to no food.

"Hey, are you guys up?" I heard a voice say and it startled me awake. I sat up straighter and touched Namjoon's hand to wake him. One of the men had opened the door and was walking in with three bowls.

"It's Tom." Yoongi whispered under his breath, just loud enough for Namjoon and I to hear. I set my jaw as he slid the bowls into the cage. Without another word, he turned and left just as quickly as he came. We were left to stare at three bowls of fried noodles and beef. Namjoon leaned forward and picked them up.

"At least it's something." I said quietly and began eating. It was surprisingly good, but I wasn't sure if it was well made or if I was just overly hungry. We were quiet for a few moments, eating quickly. It was finally enough to fill our empty bellies. I leaned back against the wall, sighing, allowing my stomach to settle. A quick glance over at Namjoon and Yoongi showed they were doing the same thing. Yoongi was falling asleep, leaning over on Namjoon now. He finally just lay down on his side, his head on Namjoons lap. I reached over and gently rubbed his side. His shirt slightly rode up and I could see his pale skin and mottled bruising over his obvious ribs. If what he was saying about this Cride kid was true, then he needed to do it soon. Yoongi wasn't going to last much longer in here, and even catching a cold would send him into a fast downward spiral.

Cride POV

I wasn't aware that their food had been drugged until long after they were already moved. Tom and Adam had been planning this since they found out that the others were already found. No longer concerned for their safety or health, he had ordered them to be moved to the outdoor enclosure in the back. I sat at my desk, leaned into my chair and tapping my foot anxiously. I couldn't just alert BigHit to where they were, we'd be arrested and charged with kidnapping and abduction. I couldn't let them out either, because then they would have nowhere to go on this huge property. My best bet was to take them far enough out of the area and let them go, give them a chance to run. I balled up my fist and slammed it onto my desk. I'd need to do this either in the evening or in the middle of the night.

I stood and walked downstairs, past the guys sitting around the living room. They acted as if they were a regular group of friends, enjoying football night, and not starving three boys out in their backyard for sport. I slipped several protein bars under my shirt before going out the back door. The cold and damp air outside surprised me. I didn't know it was going to rain tonight. I stepped out from under the patio roof and felt fat and cold raindrops instantly. I moved towards the far corner of the large yard, towards the medium sized cage. It was about 30 feet by 40 feet, and had small overlapping bars all the way around. The roof was nothing but a reinforced chain link mesh. The cage was set over a large concrete slab as well, so no mud would get in.

"You three awake?" I whispered. There wasn't much light left, but I could make out all three boys huddled together in the far corner. They were shivering and soaked. Namjoon slowly stood, untangling himself from the others, and moved towards me. He folded his arms over his chest and stood in front of me.

"You're Cride?" He asked, his English surprising me. I nodded and reached for the protein bars, slipping them through the cage wire. He accepted them but still stood firmly.

"I'm sorry you're out here, I wasn't aware that they had moved you out here." I said truthfully. He nodded, looking at the ground for a moment.

"You're supposed to get us out of here?" He said very bluntly. I blinked in surprise again and looked over at Yoongi. He looked terrible; leaned against Jin, shivering, and water dripping from his hair. "He's in rough shape. We need to get out of here as soon as possible, for his life's sake."

"I understand." I looked back at Namjoon as he watched Yoongi. "I need time to figure something out."

"You've had plenty of time." He frowned and shivered again. The rain was only coming down harder now. I was already soaked now, and wondered what I'd tell the guys when I came back inside. "We won't report you, or come after you. I'm only worried for my family." I sighed, looking over at my truck sitting in the driveway, not 200 feet from this cage. If I could just quickly get them there, we might have a chance. "Please." I looked back at Namjoon, his face softer now.

"Tonight." I nodded, the pieces of a quick plan coming to me. "It'll be fast and rough, but it's the best I can do."

"Whatever it takes." Namjoon nodded and turned back to the others. I immediately headed back towards the house. I'd need to wait until the others were asleep.

Namjoon POV

I handed the protein bars to Jin and Yoongi and sat down next to them. The rain was unforgiving, and I shivered violently, my teeth chattering. Yoongi quickly ate the protein bar and pulled his legs up to his chest, his arms folded behind them, and leaned closer against Jin. I moved to sit next to him. Our body height was the only thing we could use in combat against the weather. I hoped Cride would keep his word tonight. Another night of this could be too much.

I heard the back door open. I sat up instantly, my heart speeding up as I knew who it was. Lightning arced across the sky and I could make out Cride quickly moving to us in the quick flash of light. Thunder rumbled moments later, resonating in my chest. The rain was reduced to just a light drizzle by this point. I reached over and gently shook Yoongi and Jin.

"Get ready." I whispered to them and they sat up quickly.

"Move fast." Cride said as he reached the cage, pulling out a key to the lock. "The others are asleep, but I'm sure this cage has an alarm." The lock popped off and I saw a small red flashing light just above the door as it swung open. We ran out and followed Cride towards his truck. My heart was pounding as he struggled to open the door with shaking hands. He finally popped it open and we rushed inside. I heard the back door slam open and I looked up to see Tom with a flashlight running out to the patio. Cride was in the front seat and starting the truck.

"Cride! Damnit, I should have known!" He cursed and ran to his truck as Nix tailgated him. We flew backwards out of the driveway, gravel spitting across the yard. Cride floored it and we raced out onto the main road. I looked behind us and saw two trucks pulling out behind us.

"They're following us!" I yelled and leaned forward.

"I know, I'll have to lose them." Cride hissed and took a sharp right turn, pushing us against the door. Tires squealing, we rounded the corner and sped down the neighborhood road. We hit a speed bump and we violently were tossed up, the bumper smacking into the pavement. I heard gunshots ringing out suddenly, and all three of us ducked.

"Get down and stay down!" Cride shouted, cranking the steering wheel around another sharp turn. Jin reached out and took my hand, his other hand over Yoongi's head and holding him down. This was our last shot at escaping, we'd have to give it everything we had. More gunshots rang out and Cride did his best to maneuver. I took a chance to glane up and saw that we were quickly approaching a busy street.

"Try to get off somewhere," I panted and he nodded, stepping on the gas. He wove through a few cars, the gunshots still ringing out. The surrounding traffic swerved to get out of our way.

"Ahh!" Cride suddenly yelled, holding onto his shoulder. Blood came away in his hand and my eyes widened. "Damn."

"How bad is it?" I asked and he grit his teeth, turning hard to the left and getting in front of a large van.

"Bad." He hissed, putting pressure on the badly bleeding wound. He turned to the left, managing to get into a small neighborhood. "I'm going to let you guys out here, make it to your people." He braked hard, looking over his shoulder for the other two trucks. We had managed to lose them for a few moments, but I could hear the tires squealing as they turned. Yoongi and Jin rushed out, ducking into some bushes by the house next to us. I stopped and reached my hand out. Cride paused for a moment but took my hand tightly.

"Thank you, for helping us." I said whole heartedly. He nodded and squeezed my hand. I quickly got out of the truck and joined Yoongi and Jin as he peeled out, hopping another speed bump just as the other two trucks came into view. They raced after them, gunshots still exploding out the open windows. I pushed Yoongi and Jin's heads down, ducking down behind the bushes. I held my breath as I listened to the high speed chase slowly leave the neighborhood. We waited a few more minutes, huddled together in the cold silence. I could feel both of them shaking from adrenaline and panic.

"Do you think he'll be alright?" Jin asked very quietly, his words shaky. I slowly looked over the bushes at the still neighborhood. A few lights had flicked on as people were coming out to check the area. I could hear one lady on the phone with the police.

"I hope so. Come on." I whispered and stood carefully, slipping behind the house and towards the small wooded area just behind it. Yoongi and Jin followed close behind me.
