32. A terrifying discovery
TW: Abortion talk
Uraraka had finished her shower and was drying her hair in the common area. Hagakure and Ashido were laughing loudly and Shoji and Ojiro were chuckling.
"You massive idiot!" Jiro growled, "What jerk texts someone that!?" Kaminari put his hands up in defence.
"I'm sorry, I thought it was one of your friends, not your parents," the blonde hid behind Iida.
"What happened?" Uraraka asked.
"This dumbass texted my parents 'Guess who is pregnant!' and didn't tell me! Now my parents want to visit me to make sure it's not me because they now don't believe me that it's Midoriya,"
"I said I was sorry," Kaminari dodged a pillow she threw.
"My parents," she pinched her nose, "my PARENTS DENKI! They think I'm pregnant," she barked.
"Oooooh~ she used your first name," Ashido snorted.
"Oh, let me grab my phone! I have proof that it's Midoriya- hold on!" Uraraka left for her room and got her phone. She selected several of the pictures she had been gathering of Midoriyas ever growing belly. She quickly sent them to Jiro and stuck her phone back in her pocket. She returned to the common area to see that Bakugo and Todoroki had returned from their remedial classes. Todoroki immediately spotted her coming out of the elevator. He walked up to her with Bakugo stomping behind him.
"I want to see more of those-"
"Send me those pictures," Bakugo demanded as he interrupted Todoroki. Uraraka waved them off.
"In a minute, I gotta check on Jiro," she walked to the other students. "Did you send them to your parents?"
"Yeah," she sighed, "But I think I need to have Midoriya meet them and confirm it himself,". Hagakure gasped excitedly.
"You should bring them to the baby shower!"
"No," she said flatly.
"Why nooooooot?" she whined.
"They don't even know Midoriya. I don't know if I'm even invited to the shower," Jiro shrugged.
"Of course you're invited! I think we're all invited," Uraraka smiled.
"Don't say that without Midoriyas permission. You never know for sure if he even wants a baby shower," Iida had to be a downer. The girls, besides Jiro, pouted.
"You're no fun, Iida!" Ashido folded her arms.
"Show me the pictures, cheeks," Bakugo barked again. She rolled her eyes.
"I'm going to ask Deku if I can," she smirked, "I don't know if he would want me to send such personal pictures to his exs," that was just the right thing to say to piss Bakugo off.
"What was that you damn extra?! I'm his boyfriend!"
"You're his Ex. Not his boyfriend," she mocked as she started walking away. Bakugo followed her.
Shoto turned to Jiro.
"Can you send me those photos?" He asked her.
"Sure," She didn't even think twice about it.
"Take that back!" Uraraka and Bakugo stepped into the elevator. She smiled to herself as the elevator climbed up. He hissed and growled all the way to Midoriyas room. Uraraka knocked on Midoriyas door and waited.
"Just let me see those pictures. My mom has been hounding me for pictures of him,".
"Why?" Uraraka asked.
"None of your business," he yelled. Uraraka flipped her hair at him.
"Fine," she banged on Midoriyas door again, "DEKU! Your ExBoyfriend is stalking me! I don't think you should choose Todoroki!" she joked.
"Shut the fuck up!" He pushed her out of the way and opened the door, "Deku why the fuck are you friends with-" he stopped and grumbled to himself. Uraraka looked around the taller student.
"Oh," she shrugged, "he's not here," she stepped further into his room, "I didn't see him in the showers,". Bakugo followed her into his room and sat on his bed. She gave him a stern look, "you know you shouldn't stay in here without-"
"Shut up," he laid back on the bed, "I'll do what I damn well please,". Uraraka shook her head and turned her head to Midoriyas desk.
There were the normal things you would find on a desk; pencils, papers, a calculator, and a ruler. Her eyes scanned the desk until she spotted something different. It was a pamphlet. It looked like it was for a doctors office. Uraraka absentmindedly grabbed it and read it.
'Cental Tokyo Family Planning Clinic: Abortion and Other Alternitives'
Uraraka blinked. She read it again. It had that day's date written on it.
"Hey, Bakugo," she spoke calmly.
"What," he spoke gruffly.
"Are you guys going to the central Tokyo Family planning clinic for any reason?"
"Never heard of the place. We go to the local hospital, you know that," he didn't even look at her.
"Like- is there any reason you two would go there?" she asked again.
"No- Tokyo is too damn far away,".
"Are you and Deku... keeping your baby?" she asked hesitantly. Bakugo sat up and glared at her.
"Of course we are! Why the fuck are you asking that?" he was starting to get annoyed by her questions. Uraraka looked at the pamphlet unsure if she should show him. She pulled out her phone. "Are you gonna answer me?" he growled. The phone didn't even ring. It went straight to voicemail. She shivered.
"Deku.. Where are you... I found... this in your room, please call me back," she looked at her phone as she hung up. Suddenly Bakugo got up and snatched the pamphlet from her hands. "No, don't look!" she tried to snatch it back. He read it quietly. She watched his face contort into an angry scowl.
"Where the fuck is Deku," he barked in her face.
"I don't know! I didn't know anything about... this," she dialed him again, "I'll call him again,". She tapped her foot as it didn't ring once but went to voicemail. She sighed and shook her head. Bakugo grabbed the phone.
"Deku! Answer your fucking phone!" he shouted helplessly.
"His phone is off. That's the only reason it would go straight to voicemail," she tried to reason.
"Don't you think I know that?!" he yelled. He hung up and looked at the pamphlet. He tore through it like he was looking for something.
"What are you going to do?" she asked, twisting her finger in worry.
"I'm going to call them," he seemed to find the number. He dialed it in Urarakas phone.
"They won't tell you anything, you know that, right?"
"I fucking know, but I have to try. Go get Half n Half and bring him here," he spoke without thinking. Uraraka nodded and ran out of Dekus room. She went to the common area where he was looking at Jiros phone.
"Uraraka," Jiro smiled at her, "Those pictures calmed them-"
"Do you know where Deku is?" she asked immediately. The group looked at eachother.
"No, I haven't seen him, why?" she answered.
"Have any of you seen him? Or know where he is?" She panicked.
"Uraraka, you look pale," Yaoyorozu clutched her chest.
"What's wrong with Izuku?" Shoto asked with a straight face. Uraraka pursed her lips and looked at the group.
"Can you come with me?" she waved him over. Shoto looked to the others for some kind of answer of what was going on, but followed her without a reply. He followed her up to Dekus room.
"FUCKING TELL ME NOW! I'M THE FATHER AND I DESERVE TO KNOW!" Bakugos yelling could be heard from down the hall. There was a beat of silence as they walked in.
"FUCK!" he screamed it into the phone before throwing it onto Dekus bed.
"What's going on?" Todoroki asked.
"Fucking Deku-" Bakugo grabbed his hair, trying to think.
"Did they say anything?" Uraraka asked.
"No. They said that was private information. Then they fucking hung up on me," Bakugo answered. He noticed Todoroki in the room. He snarled at him. He grabbed his collar and pulled him up. "Where the fuck is Deku?!"
"Bakugo!" She tried to pull Todoroki out of his grasp.
"I said where is he?! What kind of fucking ideas have you been giving him, you fucking coward," he spat.
"I don't know," he answered with anger in his voice, "Why?" Bakugo grunted and tossed him away. He looked at the crunched up pamphlet in his hand and glared at it for a moment. He pushed it at Todoroki.
"We found this on his desk. Do you know anything about it?" Todoroki took the pamphlet and looked at it. His eyes widened with recognition. "You fucker. You gave it to him," he clenched his fists.
"No... my... brother," he remembered that night. "My brother must have given it to him somehow,".
"Why does it have todays date on it?" Uraraka worried. Todoroki started putting two and two together.
"Oh no," he covered his mouth.
"Now you fucking get it," Bakugo grumbled. Todoroki pulled out his phone and started calling him. "Save your breath. His phone's off," Todoroki didn't listen. He called him, and yes, it went straight to voicemail.
"Izuku. It's Shoto. Please call me back," he hung up and looked at them. They didn't say anything. Uraraka covered her mouth with her hands and closed her eyes.
"This has to be a misunderstanding," she whispered.
"What kind of misunderstanding could it be? Either he's giving the baby away or he's getting an abortion! It's pretty damn simple," Bakugo glared at her.
"No," she shook her head and looked at him, "This has to be something else. Deku wouldn't just- do that without telling anyone. I don't think it was even an option for him!" Her shaking hand grabbed onto Bakugos jacket. "It just can't be true,". Bakugo rolled his eyes.
There was a polite knock on the door. The three looked over to see Yaoyorozu and some people behind her. She was carrying a tray of hot tea. She gingerly stepped in and lifted the tray.
"You seemed frazzled so we brought some tea I was brewing," she revealed the trio of Hagakure, Ashido, and Aoyama. "Is everything okay?" she asked. Uraraka looked at Bakugo and Todoroki. She took the pamphlet from the red and white haired boy and handed it to Aoyama.
"Do you know anything about this?" she asked. The four looked at the pamphlet. They all lost color in their faces.
"Dear god- where-" Ashido looked up at them, "Did you call him?! Where is he? Did he say that he was going there?" Uraraka shrugged.
"I'm going to text the house chat," Aoyama pulled out his phone.
"We don't know. His phone goes straight to voicemail. And look- todays date is on the cover,".
"We! We have to stop him! We have to leave now!" Hagakure shook. Todoroki and Bakugo looked at each other.
"We need to go and get permission to leave," Todoroki reasoned.
"Fuck that," Bakugo scofted, "it'll take hours for them to process it,".
"We'll just go straight to the teachers dorms and get special permission," Yaoyorozu suggested.
"Okay let's go!" Uraraka took off, everyone following her.
They ran to the common room where Jiro, Denki, Iida, Shoji, Kirishima, and Ojiro were. They quickly explained what was going on and they decided to follow them. They all ran to the teachers dorm and Bakugo banged on the door. Jiro rang the bell several times waiting for someone to answer. After a minute the door opened to Hound Dog glaring down at them.
"What's the big idea?!" he growled. Literally. The students started talking at once, some explaining the whole story, the rest just said they needed special permission to leave. Hound dog went back and forth between each kid, trying to decipher what was going on. His brain could only handle the screaming children for a few seconds.
"HEY QUIET DOWN NOOOOOOW!" He howled. Literally. The students quieted down. "Now... what's going on!"
"We need special permission to leave campus to go help our classmate!" Iida took charge.
"What for? Who's in trouble? What's going on?" His hunting mode started. The students looked at each other.
"It's Midoriya, we found this in his room," Aoyama handed the pamphlet to Hound Dog. He looked at it for a long moment. He closed his eyes and sighed. He offered it back. Bakugo took it. Hound dog kneeled down and looked at the kids.
"Look- Midoriya is the pregnant student, right?" They knod, "He has a choice that all pregnant wom- people have to ask themselves. If they want to keep the baby. It's not a good idea if you all push him into keeping the baby if he doesn't want it. You have to put yourselves into his shoes. He's a teen. He's in school. He wants to be a hero. Those are already hard enough to accomplish without a baby. If he chooses to give up the baby, then that's his choice," He reached out and placed his hand on Bakugos shoulder. The teen knocked his hand away.
"Bull shit! I'm the father! I need to stop him!" Bakugo shook with rage. Hound Dog shook his head. He stood up.
"I'm not changing my mind. You do not have permission to leave this campus," he crossed his arms finalizing his decision. The students deflated. They exchanged scared and worried looks. Bakugo started walking away. Hound Dog knew something was up with him. "And where do you think you're going?" He barked. Literally.
"Going to Tokyo," he waved back. Hound Dog snarled.
"You leave and you'll be expelled!" he shouted. Bakugo stopped walking.
"You have to be FUCKING JOKING!" He screamed. He practically ran back to the councillor and pointed at him. "Somebody better call animal control because there's a stray bitch running around!"
"Bakugo!" Yaoyorozu froze up at the disrespect.
"Don't worry, he's just hurt," Hound Dog is an excellent councillor when his temper is cool. "It's okay,". Bakugo grit his teeth. Of course he was hurt. Who wouldn't be. It was his baby. Deku is his wife. He didn't know why his Deku would do this to him without a word. Did he really think he would get away with it? Bakugo stood there and did nothing.
Just then the teachers' dorm doors opened. It was Aizawa and Present Mic.
"Hey, Hey, Hey! What's go'n on here?" Mic loudly asked.
"Fucking Deku-" Bakugo shook, "We need to go to Tokyo to stop him,".
"Stop who, little dude?" Mic leaned down to level with the other blonde.
"Deku! He's going to get an abortion!" Ashido shouted out. Aizawas eyes opened wide in confusion.
"When?" he asked.
"Today, in Tokyo. He's not in the dorms and he's not answering his phone,". Aizawa looked at Hound Dog.
"I gave him special permission to leave today," Everyone looked at their teacher.
"Did your fucking quirk erase your brain? Why the fuck would you let Deku go and get an abortion?!" Bakugo yowlled. Shoto started to shake and freeze the area. Yaoyorozu and Ojiro put their hands on his shoulders.
"B-Bakugo be- respectful," Iida tried to scold him but found it hard to even listen to his own request.
"How could you let Midoriya go and get an abortion?" Kirishima said and he walked behind Bakugo to hold him back if needed. Aizawa shook his head and put up his hand.
"I gave him special permission to go to a baby store with Togata, Hoda, and Amajiki. They took Eri too. He wouldn't go with them," he spoke in a determined tone, even though he secretly didn't know for sure.
"You should have made that many students write up a request any ways, Eraser head," Hound Dog growled.
"You shouldn't have let him leave!" Bakugos hands started popping off explosions. Kirishima put his hands on him pulling him back.
"It was a mistake, calm down man!" Present Mic tried your calm the other blonde.
"I said I would take full responsibility for their missing paperwork. I gave them special permission just for a few hours," Aizawa pulled out his phone, "They should be back any minute now,".
"Where is my fucking boyfriend you fucki-" Kirishima covered Bakugos mouth stopping him from barking like the councillor.
"Where is Izuku?" Shoto was shaking. Uraraka stood next to yaoyorozu and Ojiro.
"His phone goes straight to voicemail," she was worried, "where is he? You said you let him leave the campus,".
"I told you he went to a baby store,". Aizawa explained again.
"Then what the fuck is this!" Bakugo held the crushed up pamphlet, "Did you let him go get a fucking abortion?! Where is he?" his voice cracked. Everyone froze and looked at him. Denki cringed, and Shoji lowered his head. The students looked back at Aizawa. The teacher looked at each of them and took in a deep breath.
"I sent them to a baby store with Eri," he repeated, "I don't know if he went to the abortion clinic-"
"Aiz-tan!" Eri ran up to Aizawa holding up an orange keyboard. She nearly rammed into his legs.
"Eri, careful," he warned as he picked her up and placed her on his hip.
"Eri- that means," Hagakure paused, "Midoriya is back!". Everyone looked around and saw Togata, Hoda, and Amajiki huddled around someone. Bakugo jumped out of Kirishimas' grasp and rocketed over to the group. The rest of the students followed. Bakugo pushes the trio away and grabbed Izuku by his wrists. His red eyes pierced into the greenette.
"Izuku- Did you go and get an abortion?"
