yes, I know it's another exceedingly short chapter, yet again. but, like I have said before, the lengths of my chapters always vary.
disclamation: I do not own Fruits Basket in any way, shape, or form. all the rights of ownership towards the anime are reserved for the folks down at the Funimation Anime Company from Southern California in regards to the US dubbing and for the staff over at TV Tokyo regarding the original dubbing in Japan. all of the manga's ownership rights are reserved solely for Natsuki Takaya-sensei.
the only thing(s) that I truly own in the series are 'Fruits Basket' fanfictions which i have written such as this one right here along with my 'Fruits Basket' OC's, like Hikari.
Kyo: Wait, back up for a minute. Akito called Tohru what? 'Ugly'?! Who does he think he is to call her 'ugly'? Hold on, how would you even know that? You weren't there when the new term began at our school.
Hikari: Akito said it to Shigure; Shigure told Hatori his own opinion of Akito's words; eventually what Akito called Tohruko found its way to me through Kazuma. Honestly, after meeting her for myself, I find it kind of impossible for such an opinion to be anywhere near as accurate as Akito seems to think it is. I suppose that even as the Sohma equal to God from the zodiac folktale, his opinions of people fail to be very accurate if they extend to everyone physically, but are limited to his own mother mentally and emotionally. Just remember that Tohruko is never to learn that Akito does think of her as ugly.
Kyo thought about this for a moment. Should Tohru ever find out that someone did, in fact, think she was ugly, she could wind up being broken beyond repair in the aftermath. He simply could not let her learn of anyone (else) who thought of her like that.
