Area 11

"I need a status update now!"

"We can't get a hold of the Bureau!"

"All attempts to message the homeland have failed."

"Officers sent to the power station have yet to come back."

"Multiple hostile enemies have been seen all across the city!"

"Spider-Man, what do you know about these hostiles?." Cornelia turned towards him as he watched all the military experts turn as well.

"You want my advice? Back off." Cornelia clearly didn't like that answer.

"Not good enough. I need concrete details on how to deal with this threat."

"Your army isn't suited to deal with them, they'll wipe you out faster than anything the Black Knights could pull off. We're talking about meta-enhanced super villains. One is literally made of sand." These villains weren't just people in suits (well except for Doc Ock...and maybe that Mysterio guy...and also Venom but that was beside the point), they were dangerous. They managed to cripple the entire nation under his nose, and they were all gunning for him.

"Focus on helping people for now, I'll deal with my rogue gallery. Where are they now?" Spider-Man asked.

"Police are currently engaged with numerous entities all across the city, luckily the station has a backup generator and our radios are working." George walked up with a map of the city and flashlight. The sun was already low, and darkness had fallen onto Area 11. It was going to get harder to see soon.

"We have officers engaged all over the city with men who 'look like opposite imitations of themselves.'"

"That must be Mr. Negative, he can turn people into slaves for him. They're strong, able to withstand a shotgun blast to the chest. They also have weapons that they can imbue with their power. Very dangerous, tell your men to keep a distance. They are still people underneath the corruption, so try not to kill any of them." George nodded.

"The power station is being guarded by something. Any cop I've sent hasn't come back. But reports I have gotten back is a woman with metallic arms is there as well."

"Electro, he's living energy. Venom probably assigned him that cuz he can stop the power from being distributed. He's one of the most dangerous villains I know. Doc Ock is probably with him to reign him in. Tell your cops to steer clear unless they want to be burned to a crisp." George turned to talk into his radio and direct his officers.

"I've deployed the army, we're being met with just as much resistance. I believe your Sandman is to blame." Guiford pointed to the nearby military base, the same place he fought the Black Knights with Kururugi.

"Flynt is hard, he's made of sand so some water trucks can take him out or extreme heat to turn him into glass. But he's smart enough to not fall for it anymore, not after the last time he's been beaten. I'll deal with him, maybe I can convince him to stop."

"Do you really think you can convince someone like that?" Guilford asked, not believing him.

"Flynt isn't a bad man, he just had unfortunate things happen to him. If I can get through to him I can talk to him. Who is next?"

"Hi-TV tower is evacuated but we know whatever remains of the rest of the hostile party are there." Spider-Man nodded, Venom and Mysterio were in the Hi-TV tower waiting for him. But before that he had to deal with the others.

"I'll reach you over the radio when I can. It's about time for this spider to do what he does best." Spider-Man turned back towards the city and swung off.

"We're going to need to establish connections as fast as possible, Captain Stacy, send some of your men to the Bureau and military base. If we can't solve our power problem soon we're going to be in a lot more trouble." George did as he was ordered, tonight was going to be a long night.

All across Area 11, darkness had enveloped everywhere. None more so than Ashford Academy, power was out and a hundred students and staff were crowded in the auditorium. Milly did her best to corral and calm everyone.

"Miss Prez!" To her right, Shirley, Rivalz, and Nina came to her aid. All three of them were in some state of dishevelment. Nina's hair was wet, as if she had just gotten out of shower, Shirley had a face mask still painted on, and Rivalz was wearing his school jacket over a sweatshirt and pair of shorts.

"Good you're here, I was worried I was going to deal with this all by myself. I need help keeping everyone calm, Nunnally and Sayako are doing what they can but we're tragically outnumbered. Have any of you seen Lelouch?" The three friends shook their head, their Vice President was nowhere to be seen.

The sea of students and faculty spread so far Milly could hardly see the ends of it. Miles was out there, so she had hope that he could stop his enemies. But she was still worried, not just for him but Lelouch too. He was out there somewhere, and while she couldn't count him out of getting out of a sticky situation...this situation was definitely different than the others.

"Where are you Lelouch?" Milly quietly asked as she looked out towards the windows that showed the city skyline.

In the surrounding waters, the Black Knights were not unaware of the growing problem.

"We have to do something!" Kallen was the loudest of the bunch, her fiery passion is what made her a central piece of the Black Knights.

"I agree with Kallen, it is our duty to safeguard the innocent." It was Steve's turn to speak, but not all simply agreed with them.

"This is an ample opportunity we have here, the Britannian Military is off-foot. We can use the advantage we have here to deal a crushing blow." Diethard, always the opportunist, spoke his mind. It definitely wasn't a popular opinion though.

"What you're saying is leaving the people of Japan to fend for themselves! How long before people start to die? We have to prioritize the civilians." Ohgi argued differently, as expected, he had his heart on his sleeve sometimes.

Fortunately for them Zero had already made his decision.

"I have already decided, the Black Knights are dedicated to all those who support us. Right now these hostiles are a threat to us all, Britannian and Japanese alike, and we must eliminate them. Activate our cells within the city, and protect the people." Everyone quieted down and nodded, before Diethard could leave he was stopped by Zero.

"Yes Zero?" He asked.

"You worked for Hi-TV, surely someone like yourself would have the blueprints to that building. It will most likely be important in the next 24 hours."

"There's nothing very unique about it, but yes, I do happen to have a finalized blueprint. I'll send it your way." Zero nodded, and the two of them continued to the hangar. "Tell me, Zero, do you believe the Viceroy would look the other way? We're blatantly moving out in the open."

"I believe she'll have no other choice. Japan is on its knees right now, the next 24 hours will determine if the long term damages can be mitigated or disastrous. I'm sure you know where both the Viceroy and I stand on this?" It was a hypothetical, of course Zero and Cornelia looked to save the country, but for their own benefit.

The two watched as the Submarine came to shore, Knightmares were launched and cells within the city were activated. Hopefully it will be enough. It was going to be a long night.

The streets of Area 11 felt like a warzone. Civilians fled for their lives while law enforcement and terrorists (which weren't Japanese freedom fighters for once) duked it out in a blaze of gunfire. They may be different from the original force, but these were the same Demons Martin Li unleashed on New York years ago trying to poison the city with Devil's Breath.

"Hey monochrome I think you lost this!" A bike rack was thrown into the crowd of Demons, knocking down a handful of possessed slaves.

In front of Spider-man stood another handful of Demons, each with their guns pointed at Spider-Man.

"Fire!" Spider-Man threw himself out of the way of the oncoming bullets and shot a web grenade into the group, restraining all of them. But he knew that wouldn't last with their enhanced strength.

"Looks like you guys are tied up in something, let me help!" He leapt forward with a double kick to the face, causing one of the Demons to fall on his back. To his left, the other Demons managed to tear the webbing off of them.

"You should lend your friend a hand!" Spider-Man grabbed the Demon on his back and tossed him towards the others, the Demons could only fall backwards as the human body was thrown onto them. But that didn't stop all of them, a large tower of a man managed to avoid the fumble and fire at Spider-Man.

The Demon threw a meaty left hook that Spider-Man caught and flipped him over, with a precise jab the Demon was knocked out.

"All clear!" Spider-Man called out to the officers taking cover behind their cruisers.

"Uh, thanks." One of the officers said as he stood up from his spot.

"Report to Captain Stacy, he'll give you something to do." Spider-Man pointed behind them back where he left the Captain.

Spider-Man swung away, there were more patches of Demons that needed to be taken care of and he needed to find Martin Li fast if he wanted to cripple the attack on Area 11.

"I just cleared out another squad of Demons, any news on Li's location?" Spider-Man asked over the radio.

"No, it's chaos on the open channels, we're both literally and metaphorically in the dark. When I do, I'll let you know." George spoke over the radio.

Before he could reply his spider-sense alerted him, and he dove to the ground as an explosion roared behind him. Spider-Man rolled and took stock of his situation, in front of him were another handful of Demons, one with a RPG and the rest fitted with automatic rifles.

"You heard the boss, get him!" The Demon with the RPG pointed to Spider-Man, who was ready for an attack. The Demons, however, weren't ready for an ambush.

A red blur bounced in between all five of them, Spider-Man didn't waste his time and shot webbing at all of them pinning them down.

"Are you always cutting it close?" Captain America stood as he caught his shield in one hand, standing on a car.

"Almost as much as I cause property damage, yeah." Spider-Man shrugged, Steve could only chuckle as he walked off the car.

"So, what are we dealing with?" Steve asked.

"Just a collection of my worst enemies all vying to kill me and threatening the entire country in the process. Regular Spider-Man stuff."

"Uhuh, well the Black Knights are deployed, hopefully we can stop this before it gets too bad." The two turned their attention down the road as they heard an approaching noise, coming their way was a mob of Demons equipped with Li's enhanced abilities.

"Ready to duke it out?" Spider-Man said.

"I can do this all day." Steve said as the two charged forward.

Britannian Military Base

Suzaku was only alive by the grace of his skill and luck.

"Watch your left!" The voice of Lloyd shouted in his headset as Suzaku jerked the Lancelot away from the wave of sand.

Suzaku fired his VARIS Rifle again, but the blast flew through the large body of sand. The Sandman was a monster on the battlefield, anything fired at him went right through him, I guess being made of sand did that to someone.

"Cecile please tell me you have an ETA on reinforcements." Suzaku said.

"I'm sorry Suzaku, we're still having problems reaching out and the enemy has demolished any defenses we had. You're on your own." Suzaku could only give a silent nod and focused on his opponent.

Suzaku looked around him, APC's, Knightmares, and all kinds of equipment were strewn across the ground, forgotten against this goliath of a monster. Suzaku checked the energy on Lancelot, he only had a few hours left in the battery.

"This isn't looking good." Suzaku said as he holstered the VARIS Rifle and took out his MVS, he was running out of options.

Another wave of sand shot his way, Suzaku dodged to the left.

"Suzaku watch out!" Cecile shouted in his ear piece, and the Lancelot was rocked. Suzaku put the pedal to the metal and got out of there. He raised the Knightmares left arm, only to see nothing pass the shoulder.

"I still have one arm, I can make him busy while you and Lloyd escape." Suzaku raised his right arm and MVS.

"Suzaku no!" He didn't listen, maybe this was how it was going to end. Repentance has finally come.

"You cannot die just yet Kururugi!" The west wall of the military base was blown wide and a handful of Knightmares emerged.

"Zero." Suzaku acknowledged as they grouped up on him.

"Suzaku, did you really think to strike head on? I thought I taught you better." Suzaku looked at the black Knightmare to see his former master.

"Tohdoh?" He asked incredulously.

"Don't look so surprised, the enemy forces need to be purged from Japan." Tohdoh said.

"I leave this in your hands Tohdoh, rout out the enemy and return Japan to its people." Zero's voice left his radio, and Suzaku was left with the Black Knights.

In the Guren, Kallen looked at the large sand monster with awe, what the hell kinda enemies do you make as a vigilante to warrant this?

"Kozuki, how is your arm?" Shogo asked.

"It's fixed, why?" Kallen said.

"I have an idea."

The seven Knightmares looked at their opponent, this was going to be a rough one.

The lights going out wasn't really a problem for Tony when you were a super genius. Well, a super genius with your own backup generator.

"JARVIS, get my suit ready would you?" Tony asked.

"Of course sir, would you also like a weather report?" JARVIS asked in his usual sarcastic snide.

"Oh I think I can tell." Tony looked out to the city horizon, or whatever he can see of it with it being in total darkness.

"Plan to go to the power plant, sir?" JARVIS asked.

"Well someone has to turn the lights on, and I really wanted that smoothie." Tony looked at the smoothie maker he had with it's contents still in the process of being mixed.

Tony walked down to his garage to see his new Mark IV armor, "Guess it's time to see how the new kid works under pressure."

Aaaaand done, I definitely had to delete a draft or two cuz I didn't like what was happening but I think I'm very happy with what I settled on.
