Chapter 31

The Quinn jet had just landed but the ramp had already been lowered and Ali could see her mum standing on it, checking her surroundings.

Natasha hadn't known what to except when she had ended her conversation with Clint but this was not it.

At the moment though, all that was on her mind was finding her little girl and getting her to somewhere that she deemed safe. She had only listened to Ali and brought the rest of the team because she had decided that they could be handy if it came to a fight.

She had already seen her daughter but since her daughter was running towards her, she saw no reason to move. Also, because the more distance she could get between her daughter and whoever was standing behind Clint the better.

Ali got pulled into a quick hug by her Mamma when she reached the cargo ramp before her Mamma pushed her back so that she could see her properly. She knew that her Mamma was checking her for bruises but since she had managed to dodge practically every attack in the training room, she had no new ones.

"I am fine Mamma, and I found my sister and Grandad. Please can you and everyone else stay calm and not get angry. Please..."

Natasha was slightly concerned that her daughter believed that there would be something she would get mad at but nodded her head anyways. It wasn't a promise, but Ali took it as her Mamma would try and behave.

Before Natasha could stop her Ali was running back towards the door and upon reaching it seemed to be pulling her sister forwards and out from behind Clint.

Ali had decided that it would probably be best if she started with the easiest introduction which was why she was pulling her sister forwards.

By this point the rest of the Avengers had left the Quinn jet and were now standing on the ramp beside Natasha.

Daisy could see the most famous faces amount the group and so it became extremely obvious as to who they all where after seeing Tony Stark and Captain America both still in their suits.

"Everyone, this is Daisy, my sister, and she has powers like me!"

Ali had managed to drag a shell-shocked Daisy so that they were both standing in front of the whole team.

"Wow. This is awesome! It is so good to meet you all. I am one of your biggest fans."

"And Daisy this is my Mamma."

Natasha stepped forward when her daughter had addressed her and was now standing slightly in front of the others.

"Well, that explains a lot. Especially how you were able to defeat May in like 2 minutes!"

Ali was grinning at the compliment, but Natasha was more focused on the name she had just heard.

She had been on a few missions with May but even though they hadn't been on many together May had still made a big impression on Natasha. Mainly just because she was the only one who had ever come as close as she had to beating Natasha in a fight. Natasha didn't count Bucky and Steve into that equation as they had super strength and so didn't count.

"May? As in Melinda May?"

"You know May!"

"We worked together on a few missions when SHIELD was still around."

"SHIELD is still around. Your standing in the relatively new SHIELD building."

Daisy looked thoroughly confused as she had assumed that the Avengers would know everything about SHIELD. Especially since Captain America had helped found it.

All the Avengers were in slight stages of shock, but all knew that this would have happen sooner or later.

"Why am I even surprised?"

Tony still had yet to get out of his metal suit, so Ali went over out of curiosity to go and look at it. She also knew that the next conversation that would start was going to be boring.

Daisy was talking to the others on the team while Ali was looking over her Uncle Tony's suit. Tony was watching the girl and was lifting his arms when it was evident that that was what he wanted him to do.

Ali wasn't paying any attention to the conversations but did know that Daisy was explaining something about powers. Probably to do with her sister's powers and how her own powers worked.

Once Daisy and the team had finished talking, Ali stopped analysing the suit and went back over to her Mamma. She knew what was about to come so tried to put off the inevitable.

"Uncle Tony's suit has over 50 weapons installed that range from knives and guns to grenades and missiles. He also needs the code updating."

Ali could hear laughter and not only from Daisy and her Mamma but also from the door where Clint and the rest of her family where hiding.

Tony looked slightly shocked since he had updated the code only yesterday and all his weapons where hidden beneath his amour.

"How did you know about the weapons? And for your information I updated the code yesterday."

"The plates of your armour don't sit right like they would if they were directly touching you and I could hack into your suit from over a mile away."

"She is right. I have actually recently hacked into your suit and found a lot of AC/DC music."

Everyone now turned their attention to Daisy who after realising what she said quickly tried to make herself look less guilty.

"It was for research purposes. I mean I was also really bored but you really should update your security."

Of course, Tony being Tony completely ignored the fact that she had just admitted to hacking into his suit and probably breaking a dozen laws.

"You know if you ever get bored of SHIELD you can always come and work for me."

"Thanks, but no thanks. I like working for SHIELD. Besides I don't think you would let me practice my fighting techniques on you."

Everyone was now looking at Daisy. Before they had been analysing her but now, they were looking at her with approving smiles.

"Ali why is Clint standing over by the door and blocking whoever is behind him from view?"

Natasha had of course noticed Clint when they had first arrived but had too many other pressing matters to question why he was there. Now, however, Natasha had asked most of her questions.

Ali quickly dashed over to her Mamma and turned her eyes blue. She did it as a precaution as she had no idea how everyone would react to seeing Coulson alive.

"Please don't be angry. You don't necessarily have to forgive him right away, but he is my Grandad so please don't hurt him."

Natasha had no idea what her little girl was talking about and that just set her even more on edge.

Clint got out of the way of the door and went to stand beside Natasha. That way he could grab her before she could do anything.

Coulson stepped out of the doorway and into the light. He started walking towards the group. Wanda and Bucky knew who Coulson was and that he was supposed to be dead but had never met him. They looked confused while Vision had some understanding written on his face. The others, apart from Bruce who they had left at the scene of the mission to help medical, were standing there in shock.

Natasha picked Ali up and put her on her hip while Ali cuddled into her. Without Ali on her hip Natasha knew that there was no way she would be able to control her actions. Ali kept her grounded and she would always be able to control her actions when she was near her for fear of hurting her.

Clint was a little relieved when Natasha had picked up Ali since he knew that while in her arms Natasha would do nothing that could possibly hurt Ali.

Tony was the first to speak,

"But you died! We saw you die! Loki killed you!"

Ali didn't like the tone in Tony's voice and so gave in to her instincts and froze him. He could still talk and move his head, but his arms and legs were frozen in place to that he seemed to notice.

Steve seemed to be calming down and was trying to make sense of the situation while, Natasha was trying very hard to reason that going over there and punching her mentor in the face was not a very good idea.

"How?"

Natasha got it out through clenched teeth. Coulson knew that if he didn't speak fast then he was going to get hurt.

Ali was gripping on tightly to Natasha mainly just to remind her that she was there and so wasn't allowed to do anything stupid.

"Loki did kill me, and I was dead for 3 days before Fury brought me back to life using some alien blood.

"That's not possible."

Still only Tony had found his voice. Vision seemed to be sharing all he knew with Wanda through her mind while Bucky still looking confused stood off to the side waiting for answers. Steve was trying to process what was being said while Natasha expression changed slightly so that she had a hint of concern on her angry and upset face.

"Fury forbid me from telling you but after SHIELD was disbanded and I became the director I started drawing weird symbols on the walls. It got so bad that I made Agent May promise to put me down if something happened. I didn't want to put you guys through that again if I had died."

Natasha's face now was full of sadness and concern, but Ali could still see some anger in her eyes.

"After we worked out what the symbols were, I stopped drawing them. I should have told you after that, but I was so scared that they would come back and then after that I was just to busy to even think about it. I am so sorry that I didn't reach out. I should have defied Fury's orders and just told you I was alive when I had my first opportunity."

Steve, Tony and Bucky both nodded their heads in understanding. Wanda and Vision were still having a conversation in their heads.

Clint was analysing Natasha who now seemed to be able to control her actions, but Clint stayed next to her just in case.

"You should have told us. I can't forgive you yet for that."

Coulson nodded his head in understanding. He had come out of this way better than he had expected he would. Even in the best scenario that he could think of he would still end up getting slapped.

Ali released Tony from being frozen and turned eyes back to their brown as she could feel the anger in the room dying down.

She stopped hugging her Mamma so tightly as she felt the tension in her body disappear.

There were still 3 others in the doorway. 2 of which Natasha didn't know but 1 of which she did.

"According to Daisy, Ali has ruined your reputation Mel."

Natasha had a grin on her face that matched May's as she stepped into the room.

"I wouldn't say she has ruined it since she was trained by you but I honestly really want to see her fight some of our younger agents who seem to be so full of themselves these days."

"Weren't they always?"

"Yes, but with me being busy all the time and not getting much free time there is no one to squash them down and teach them a lesson."

Daisy chose that moment to intervene and add her own comment which she knew would open up a range of taunts and jokes that she could use to her advantage.

"You get way more time off than me!"

"Well see I don't think she is counting the time she spends with Coulson."

Natasha's comment had been so much funnier than any of the ones that Daisy had thought of. Ali and Daisy were in hysterics mainly at Coulson red face and the boys looks of confusion. Natasha had a slightly wider smile than May who just shook her head and gave Natasha a quick hug before saying,

"It is good to see you again."

"You too."

Authors note: I am running out of ideas for this story and so am probably going to skip it to the point when Ali starts school however if you have any ideas then those would be appreciated. After this story is over I already am have plans for two one shots and another proper story like this one. The proper story will start a few years after this one when Ali is 15 and so is a certain Peter Parker.
