In space, the Macross Elysion and Ken's Stealth Class Cruiser flew out from a large opened Defold Portal as they arrived right near the airspace sector of the planet Windemere.
Within the Macross class battleship, every member of Delta Platoon and Walkure with the exception of Mikumo were gathered in the briefing room as Scarlet stood in the center of the attention with Ernest sitting beside her.
"well then, let's begin" said Scarlet before she snapped her fingers and showed many information hologram screens, all filled with data on Ken and Mikumo's profile to the Protoculture Ruins that are all in every planet of the Bringsr Global Cluster system. "first off, we can't the trust the NUNS anymore. We won't be safe with them around."
"why?" said Hayate while raising an eyebrow and looking confused before Scarlet showed him one hologram screen that has information regarding Mikumo's Bio Fold Waves along with Ken's which both seeming identical to one another. "Bio Fold Wave?"
"I checked the data that was forcibly transferred into Ken's mind when we were on the mission to get my mother from Al-Shahal and found classified information of the NUNS that I couldn't get access to." Scarlet explained while creating a 3D hologram scale of Mikumo's and Ken's Fold Wave that looks to be resonating each other. "Mikumo is a clone of the original Star Singer, and Ken is a clone of a humanoid Protoculture species who just happens to be a distant relative of the Star Singer."
"Distant relative?" said Arad as Scarlet nodded before she showed one hologram screen that has information of Mikumo's DNA and Ken's DNA.
"I couldn't believe it until I did a check in every form and found that Ken with Mikumo shares a single trace of their DNA that are nearly splitting image of one another." Said Scarlet as the two DNA scale of the two individuals showed a 99.99% of a scan that resulted in it. "the creation of Mikumo wasn't just planned for the prevention of Var 4 years ago or so. It was also to create the ultimate controller of the galaxy."
"ultimate controller? Just like when Windemere capture Mikumo and forcibly awakened then used her Star Singer's power?" Mirage asked as Scarlet nodded in reply.
"the project was that of a top secret that was made in the back of Lady M." Scarlet stated as she showed information of several NUNS high officer ID, two of them happen to be Ronald Valan and Laurie Valan. "these power hungry jerks were planning to use Mikumo's power from the get go, but to be able to utilize her power effectively, they need something to be able to control her. and that's where Ken comes into the play."
Scarlet showed more information of Ken's DNA that belongs to the Protoculture humanoid and the real Ken Siriunis that has shown their DNA being a perfect match to one another.
"the original Captain Siriunis' DNA and that Protoculture guy's DNA….is a perfect match?" said Chuck with a confused face. "what's this about?"
"if you think about it logically, it's nearly impossible for anyone's DNA to be a perfect match to one another, even for twins." said Scarlet while crossing her arms. "that's when I checked, researched, and found out that this was all planned."
"planned?" Arad stated before he sees a photo image of Meltys Kurenai and the several NUNS high officers in a laboratory of some sort. "this is?"
"a secret NUNS laboratory that I have no information on its location or anything about it." Scarlet replied as she enlarges the image and showed several more of the laboratory that is filled with large glass tanks that have human males inside. "everything that was made in order to create Ken."
"create? Just what do you mean?" said Hayate as his mind can't process such an explanation.
"you see, the NUNS weren't just formed for galactic peace and such. But they were created as a cover for that bitch and her underlings to move behind the shadow." Scarlet stated while looking serious. "they were somehow informed of the existence of Âúèý áÉÃÍà"
"aue..what?" Freyja looks confused as she tilts her head from hearing Scarlet's sentence.
"what language was that?" Mirage asked.
"sorry, I forgot that there was a translation for that." Said Scarlet while shaking her head as she snapped her fingers twice and several monitor screens disappeared before a larger one appeared and showed some sort of stone tablet with the image of what appears to be a shining hawk and a man. "Âúèý áÉÃÍà is the Protoculture Language for Galaxy Knight."
"Protoculture Language!?" "Galaxy Knight?" said Reina and Makina.
"w-wait a minute! Are you saying that you could speak Protoculture's language?!" said Chuck in surprise.
"in a way." Scarlet replied while shrugging her shoulders before she shakes her head. "but that doesn't matter now. What matters now is that we have to see this. This tablet's image is nearly 5 million years old that predates to who knows what time of an era and was found in the remaining Protoculture Ruins of Baraqut."
"but what is this got to do with everything?" said Arad before Scarlet showed an image of the Protoculture Humanoid corpse getting taken out from a strange-looking coffin in some sort of cave that has glowing symbols of an unknown language.
"in order to make a clone, you need a stable DNA of someone who has a nearly perfect match with the clone." Said Scarlet before she showed information regarding the cloning project of Mikumo. "in the case for Mikumo, they found someone who has the perfect DNA holder as the host. But for Ken, they needed an improvisation which was the mixing DNA of many men into one."
"mixing DNA?" said Kaname as Scarlet showed a roster tree image of several men combining into one.
"10 out of 10000 subjects were tested and only they had several unique DNA than any other." Said Scarlet. "their DNA's were genetically edited and mixed together in order to create Ken Siriunis whose DNA is the perfect holder for the cloning of the Protoculture Humanoid's clone which later created the Ken Siriunis who we know of."
"c-can you repeat that? I can't understand at all" said Freyja while holding up her right hand as Hayate and everyone did the same.
"this is going to be a long explanation." Scarlet stated while shaking her head and sighs before she rolls her head around then looks back at the group. "I'm going to explain it one more time, listen carefully and understand it all carefully, alright?"
Meanwhile at the medical room area of Macross Elysion. Mikumo slept with Ken on his medical bed, the Mysterious Venus snoring in the slightest noise before she slowly wakes up.
Mikumo slowly sits up before she gently rubs her eyes and then looks at Ken, the man still laid unconscious on the bed while breathing with the need of the oxygen mask.
She frowns before laying back down and leans her forehead close to Ken's head.
"Ken….please….please wake up.." Mikumo muttered out in a whisper as she sheds a few tears from her eyes while her right hand gently grabs Ken's and holds it in a soft grasp. "Ken….please…"
Without knowing, Ken's right hand grasps hers in return and that made Mikumo a bit surprise from the action. She sat up a bit and sees Ken slowly opening his left eye that glances at her.
"Miku..mo" Ken muttered out as his lips formed a small yet weak looking smile.
"Ken!" Mikumo smiles while shedding a few tears as she is relieved to see him waking up.
"sorry….always being in the infirmary…every time…" Ken muttered out while taking deep breathes of air from the oxygen mask. "i….am sorry….for just going…out on my own….on Ragna that time…"
"it's fine…" Mikumo replied while wiping away some of her tears and smiled at Ken. "…it's fine"
Ken smiles while sighing before he glances around the room and sees that it was only him and Mikumo.
"is everyone…in the briefing room?" Ken asked before glancing back at Mikumo.
"yes, everyone's in the briefing room for an explanation from Scarlet." Said Mikumo before standing up from the bed and then looks at Ken. "I'll call the doctor and inform everyone of you waking up, alright? Don't try to leave again."
"I don't think…I can….in such state.." Ken joked with a few chuckles and a weak smile.
Mikumo smiled before she left the room and Ken behind.
We turn our attention back to the briefing room as Scarlet reexplained the entire information that she had to everyone slowly and calmly to the point that they understand it all.
"got it? That's why we got to get to Windemere." Said Scarlet while having her arms crossed.
"somehow" Arad replied with a nod.
"I had that Berger to be there with his company's most finest medical equipment." Scarlet added before she checked a screen that showed a map of their location and to Windemere. "The Aerial Knights were kind enough to provide us with a temporary refuge area for the time of our escape. We should be arriving there in 30 minutes or so with a single Defold Portal through a back stream jump channel."
"still though, with how the Captain's DNA being part Protoculture Humanoid…" said Chuck before sighing. "even getting the explanation from the guy, it's still hard to believe."
"rather than believe, it's hard to understand." Said Hayate while crossing his arms.
"that also leads to another problem." Scarlet stated as she revealed back the Bio Fold Waves of Mikumo's and Ken's that are resonating with each other. "we got to find a way to help the two in being close to each other."
"what do you mean?" Freyja asked in confusion.
"I did a check on Ken and it's a check that I regret doing." Scarlet replied before she snapped her fingers and the large monitor screen that showed information of the Protoculture Ruins changed to information about Ken's body scan in every form. From his body's age to his very DNA. "his body is somehow dying from the inside out and the cause is from Mikumo."
"what did you say?" said Kaname while nearly gasping.
"Scarlet, what do you mean by that?" Ernest asked while having his arms crossed.
Scarlet sighs before she looks at the large monitor screen that showed Ken's body scan information that soon shows his blood cells as some were eroding and turning black.
"I don't know how to explain it in words, but ever since Ken been getting close to Mikumo. There's been a sudden change to the DNA of his own body in the smallest form." Scarlet replied in explanation. "his very DNA is somehow weakening when Ken is in close proximity with Mikumo. Every time I checked, it shows the same result over and over. I hate to say this but if Mikumo stays close to Ken every single passing second. He will die at a very slow pace."
"that's just…" Freyja gasped with a sad look.
"isn't there a way to stop this!?" Mirage asked. "Captain and Mikumo are!"
"I know, that's why I had Ber-!? Shit!" Scarlet replied and soon curses with wide eyes before she looks at the door in the briefing room. "crap! She heard us!"
"what? Who?" said Arad before Scarlet creates a monitor screen of a live security video feed that shows Mikumo running down the hallway with tears in her eyes. "Mikumo!?"
"she heard everything!?" said Kaname before she quickly got up and ran to the door.
"Kanakana!" Makina exclaimed as she, and Reina followed behind.
"Makina-san! Reina-san!" Mirage exclaimed as she quickly followed with Freyja.
"Mikumo-san!" Freyja screamed out as they head out.
"everyone!" Hayate and Chuck were about to join but Arad stopped them.
"don't" Arad told Chuck and Hayate. "let them go and try to console Mikumo. They're the closest to her, after all."
"but…" said Hayate before looking at the door that slides close. "…can they do it?"
Mikumo ran down the hallway of Macross Elysion before she got into an elevator that soon closes and went down.
The Mysterious Venus took several steps to the wall and leans on it before sliding down to the floor while crying in tears and sobbing uncontrollably.
'if Mikumo stay close to Ken every single passing second. He will die in a very slow pace.' Scarlet's words echoed in Mikumo's mind as she was horrified of the thought of Ken dying.
'It's my fault…it's my fault that Ken!' Mikumo's tears endlessly slides down her cheeks and to the floor, her hands hold her face as she started wailing in sadness. 'it's because of me! It's because of what I am!'
Mikumo's wails echo endlessly as she cried non stop from an over pressuring sense of guilt that barrages her heart.
