Hey Cherith, it's me.

I got to Hawaii safe, settled in Maui to be precise.

It's really beautiful… I could see myself settling here.

How's Tyler?

I hope he's not too mad at me…

Take care of yourself Cherith Gilbert, and thanks… for everything.

It had been a week since the whole Mason Lockwood and Jenna incident and Cherith could say she was still on edge.

She had stopped talking to Jeremy…

Preferring to instead make him stew in his own self pity for a while.

He brought it on himself anyways… not her fault…

Also… Jenna had finally convinced her to do the shoot and tomorrow was the day as well…

Thankfully for not just her, but also the woman, it wouldn't take a lot of time… if it had… Cherith would have definitely said no to it…

But hey! Stepping out of your comfort zone every once in a while could prove to be nice too…

Today was the masquerade ball that everyone had been looking forward to.

Everyone that is… except her.

This whole town drama had definitely taken her frustration level off the charts and she was counting down the days when she could have her little seniors trip which was coming up in some months…

At least one week in New York should prove life changing…

Cherith jogged down the stairs as she heard voices and knew that Jenna had arrived back home.

It had been a stressful few days.

She ran into the living room with a grin, ignoring Matt, Elena and Jeremy whom had brought her home and playfully dived into Jenna who was sat comfortably on the sofa and hugged her softly.

"Well someone missed me… even if she saw me yesterday evening."

Jenna joked as she brushed her hand through Cherith's hair whose head was laid in Jenna's lap and she sighed.

"Yeah well you were in the hospital. I hate hospitals… I always have this sudden urge to go berserk in there… I think it's my survival instinct or something."

Jenna snorted.

"I don't know what you mean about that brat, seeing as hospitals HELP people."

Cherith shrugged as she sat up with a wry grin.

"I don't know about that… I mean… they do help but they do it in a way that makes you never want to return there ever again."

"Isn't that a good thing though?"

Before Cherith could reply back, Jeremy cut in.

"Hey Cherry… um, can I see you for a sec?"

He asked hesitantly, knowing Cherith had been ignoring him all week and even if he was sad and angry about it, he was still guilty about what had happened.

Cherith gave him a glare, lips involuntarily going into a stubborn pout and Jenna sighed, tapping at her head.

"I don't know what happened between you two but he's the older one brat… see what he wants…"

Cherith puffed out air frustratingly before grumbling under her breathe and walking outside with her brother, stopping on the porch.

"What?"

She demanded, arms folded and glaring up at him.

When did he even grow this tall?!

She mulishly wondered.

She wanted to be the tall one!

She almost stamped her foot angrily.

"I know you're not on talking times right now Cherry… but we need to talk about Katherine."

Cherith scoffed.

"Oh don't worry about the bitch. Next time I see her, I'm giving her nightmares for the rest of her life. Better than ending her misery… and believe me, I've been practicing."

She smirked deviously and Jeremy looked at her weirdly before shaking his head.

"You're not the only one gunning for revenge though…"

He mumbled under his breath and her eyes narrowed at his shifty look.

"Don't tell me… the Salvatore bastards… my bad, brothers, also have a plan up their sleeves too?"

Jeremy nodded impishly and sighed, running his hand through his hair.

"Look, Cherry I know we're not on the best of terms right now, but I can guarantee we both want revenge for what Katherine did to aunt Jenna. So, Stefan and Damon at the end of the day, are just a means to an end… that's all… please, Cherith…"

He begged and Cherith looked away from him, drawing a pros and cons table in her head.

The pros really outweighed the cons… and at the end of the day, no one would be getting hurt, especially with her putting her foot down on whatever stupid decisions anyone raised.

She sighed, turning to him and waving him away.

"Let me get my keys…"

She turned and walked in with a disgruntled look on her face.

Salvatore Boarding House.

Cherith stared at the front door of the house, anger slowly building up as she idly wondered if she should walk in, guns blazing and just—

"You ready?"

Jeremy asked her and she glared at him before huffing and walking in without any invitation, ignoring Jeremy shaking his head.

"What's going on?"

She heard Bonnie's voice as soon as she walked in and Jeremy who was behind her answered.

"We're gonna kill Katherine."

Bonnie turned to him incredulously as Cherith walks past them moodily and sits down, arms folded and legs crossed, looking the picture of innocent and cuddly but dangerous and deadly.

Damon knew to stay the hell away from her immediately as she shifted a few feet away.

"I can explain."

Stefan finally spoke up as soon as he saw Bonnie's face and she gave him a look.

"Please. Before I loose my mind."

Stefan opened his mouth to explain further but when nothing came out, he just shrugged.

"We're going to kill Katherine."

Cherith and Bonnie gave him unimpressed looks.

"Hey Cherith."

Alaric greeted the teen who was still ignoring every single person in the room and she only gives him a grunt and Damon smirks.

"Well someone's going back to their cavemen days…"

He jests and immediately, over 20 hard cover books levitate out of bookcases with red mist surrounding them and begin to attack a shell shocked Damon, hitting him all over as he yelps while others stare with a mixture of both shock and amusement.

"How are you doing that?"

Bonnie asked with awe and Cherith shrugs, still not willing to talk and Stefan watches as his brother blurs around in an attempt to evade the speeding books, eyes filled with amusement.

Alaric shook his head and addressed the rest of the group, showing them some of his hunting weapons.

"Okay! This works with compressed air. The trigger mechanism is up here. I have two of these in a different size. For you I recommend this. It fits nicely under the jacket sleeve. You use the trigger when you're ready."

He fakes killing a vampire and Stefan raises an eyebrow at just how accurate he was at doing that and Alaric shrugs.

"Hey, you wanted my help with killing a vampire."

Cherith scoffed, turning from them.

Honestly, they were like a bunch of baby chicks and she sure as hell wasn't about to join them…

The little she'd learnt about who Katerina Petrova was made her seem like a devious bitch who always had a plan b, c, and z.

She for sure suspected that this plan would not work.

And that was where she herself would come in.

She didn't need them to know she had her own plans already…

But she sure as hell knew that when their plans to kill her didn't work… she wouldn't step in to kill Katherine… oh no, she wouldn't.

Instead…

She'd give her nightmares so bad that the sweet relief of death would be what she'd welcome as a release.

"A little help here?!?"

Damon huffed as books trailed behind him.

"Are you sure you guys don't want me there tonight?"

Alaric asked again for the millionth time and Cherith stifled a groan while Stefan shook his head.

"No, I need you to stay with Elena. I don't want her to know about this."

"Okay. Well, I'll make sure she doesn't leave my sight."

Cherith snorts.

"And that is a full time babysitting job, I can assure you."

Stefan gave her a look before looking around.

"Alright, if anybody wants to back out, I'll understand."

"Yeah. Cold feet speak now. I don't want this going wrong if someone chicken's out. Caroline."

Damon turned to the blonde girl who scoffed, folding her arms and fire in her eyes.

"Oh I definitely won't. She killed me. Fair's fair. As long as there's no werewolf running around."

"Oh, I took care of Mason."

Damon smirked smugly and Cherith tilted her head with a blank smile as Jeremy wilted slightly and quickly changed the conversation.

"As long as Tyler doesn't kill anyone, he won't turn."

"Even if he turns you won't touch him. I don't know about you guys but in the land of the living we don't go around killing friends except we're psychopaths or they've angered us one last time."

Cherith dryly spoke up, looking at her manicured fingers and everyone looked at her oddly before Bonnie spoke.

"We really need to get you a therapist."

"No need. I'd drive them crazy anyways."

"Okay then. Bonnie? Are you with us?"

Stefan turned to the mocha skinned beautiful who was still slightly unsure about the idea. She turned to Cherith who gave her a shrug and she sighed.

"No one gets hurt."

"Except Katherine. How about you—"

Damon began speaking, turning to Cherith but paused when he saw her eyes turn crimson mixed with her amethyst and decided against turning her ire onto him. Again.

Stefan snorted before turning to said girl.

"How about you, Cherith?"

Cherith folds her arms as everyone turned to her, the air still as they anticipated her answer.

"I'm definitely not with you guys… but I want to see Katerina crash and burn. So…"

She looks right at Stefan, giving him a steady look.

"If this plan fails, I do hope no one gets in my way of revenge. Either way, Katerina dies… huge win for us."

Damon grins anticipatorily and looks around.

"Tonight Katherine gets a stake through her heart."

Lockwood Residence.

Cherith stood in front of the building dressed to the nines and a small smirk on her face.

She wore a black mesh tulle bustier gown with gold chain straps.

Transparent but sexily elegant.

She'd paired it with black, heels and black lace mast tied to her head.

She had idly played with wearing gloves before going with it and digging out her black gloves just over her elbow to complete the look.

All in all she looked like some English aristocratic bitch.

All she needed was a champagne glass and it would be complete.

She smirked, her red lips prominent over all the black as she walked through the doors and into the house, all eyes zoning in on her.

Why had she dressed like this, one may wonder.

Easy…

She was prepared for a funeral, if the plan if the Scooby gang went in their favor.

Personally, she didn't want Katerina dead.

She wanted her to suffer… she wanted to be the bane of her existence.

Katerina Petrova was a very curious being.

She looked like Elena, except for her hair of course… she was daunting, proud, vindictive and manipulative from what she'd heard.

All good qualities if Cherith wanted to admit… heck, she had all those qualities… maybe if the bitch hadn't been hell bent on attacking Cherith's family, they would have gotten along superbly.

Cherith grabbed a champagne glass from a passing waiter and took a sip.

"Pity…"

She mumbled… before walking out the back door, gown flowing around her as people parted to let her through.

Yep.

She indeed felt like a bitch this wonderful, wonderful evening.

A cultured one though.

The backyard was well parked as people walked around, a fire show happening just down the stairs.

She walked down to watch it when she saw the Salvatore brothers on a step a few feet away from her and she stifled a sigh.

She hadn't been expecting to see them so soon anyways.

As they quietly talked amongst each other, she walked past them down the stairs but they spotted her hair color and Stefan was the one who called out to her.

"Cherith??"

Cherith sighed before turning to the two speechless brothers as they stared at her and she smirked dryly.

"Yes. I look downright like the forbidden apple. Try and take a bite."

She twirled and walked away, their eyes following her and Damon cleared his throat.

"Sometimes I forget she's absolutely dangerous…"

He looked at her impressed and Stefan had to agree with his brother, even if internally.

No need to let him know that.

"Oh my God! Cherry?!"

Leslie's excited voice resonated and Cherith turned with a grin to her friend who was in a sexy black satin dress and holding a hand held mask in her hand, over a face with a grin.

"You look amazing! Oh my God! I am so jealous!"

She pouted and Cherith snickered.

"Perks of midnight online shopping dearest friend. When you can't sleep, shop. It makes you feel good surrounded by darkness."

Leslie snorted.

"We're not all rich brats like you bitch. But damn! You literally came to slay!"

Cherith smirked.

"You have no idea…"

She mumbled, especially when a certain vampire was ending up getting slayed today.

If… and only if, the Salvatore brothers did their jobs well anyways.

She knew Jeremy and Bonnie were setting up the room to trap Katherine in.

While Cherith had unlimited potential and power, she wasn't well versed in all things magic, and so the little things that most witches and warlocks could possibly do, she couldn't as of yet, especially since she had no help nor grimoire.

Speaking of… she wondered about her family… had they had a grimoire too?

It would be very fascinating and life saving if she found one when she went to the UK.

"Anyways! This party is really nice… all elegant and stuff… makes me feel all important and queen like."

Leslie puffed up, a drink in a hand and Cherith chuckled slightly as she looked around.

"Yeah well… Mrs. Lockwood sure knows how to throw her parties. Must be where Tyler got it from. And I thought he got it from his father."

Leslie snorted before her eyes widened slightly as she looked behind her.

"Hey… isn't that Timmy Turner?"

Cherith's face wrinkled slightly as she turned and spotted him before turning back to her friend.

"Well! I guess this is my cue to leave dearest friend. I'll see you before all this is over."

She winked at Leslie's amused look and walked off, back into the mansion.

It had been a bit cold outside anyways.

As Cherith walked in, the ringing of her phone stopped her as she brought it out from her mini pocket in the gown and clicked without bothering to check who it was.

"Talk to me."

"Cherry?"

Elena's voice sounded and Cherith sighed, bringing a hand to the bridge of her nose and massaging it slightly.

She knew Alaric wouldn't have been able to do his job well… probably thirsting over Jenna.

Sick ass bitc—

"Hey, is Stefan at the party?"

"Nope. Didn't see him. At all…"

She quipped back, grabbing a finger food from a passing platter and munching on it, making a pleased moan escape her lips, startling a guy who blushed slightly and she smirked.

"Could you help me check?"

Cherith groaned.

"Elena, I'm not his babysitter, okay? I haven't seen him around."

Lie.

"You should probably call Bonnie or Caroline or whatever… they could help you find out. I, on the other hand… cannot help you out as this party is filled with over a hundred people and I can't slave around for you."

Elena sighed and Cherith knew she was shaking her head over the phone.

"Alright. I'll talk to you later Cherith. Just… message me if you see him… or Damon."

"Bye."

She immediately cut the call and sighed.

She should probably go tell them Elena was becoming sus already.

Let's see their look of panic.

Meanwhile…

Elena folds her arms, staring incredulously at Jeremy and Bonnie, having somehow left the house without Alaric noticing.

"You guys are trying to kill her here?"

Jeremy shrugged unconcerned.

"We saw an opportunity and we knew we had to take it."

"Okay, will you like, stop with the "we", are you guys crazy? You're gonna get yourselves killed!"

"We know what we're doing, Elena."

Bonnie replied stubbornly but Elena was still not having any of it.

"And how am I supposed to feel if one of you guys gets hurt because of me?"

This time, Jeremy answered her.

"It's not just you anymore, Elena. She's messed with all of us, she has to be stopped. Even Cherry is in agreement."

Elena's eyes widened slightly.

"Cherry?? Cherry knows about this and actively joined??"

She asked, aghast and honestly, Bonnie and Jeremy could understand where she was coming from.

Cherith had never been a fan of the Salvatore brothers in the first place, but…

"She almost tried to kill Jenna, Elena…"

Jeremy reminded her softly and her expression softened.

"If anything, Cherry is vengeful right now."

Cherith walked around before groaning slightly having not found Stefan or even anyone in particular.

She finally shrugged.

They'd know if she stumbled into the masquerade party anyways…

Cherith could already imagine it.

Two doppelgangers walking around. One in a black dress and Elena probably in PJs or whatever and people start to question their mental health.

She turned when she heard hurried footsteps and saw her brother running towards the staircase with a look of panic on his face and she ran to him, grabbing his hand.

"Jeremy?? What's going on??"

He quickly turned to her.

"Stefan and Damon are killing Katherine and it's affecting Elena! I have to stop them!"

Was all he said as he ran up the stairs, leaving a shell shocked Cherith behind.

Affecting Elena??

She looked out the back door, something pooling in her chest which she wasn't sure about…

Her hands shook slightly and she looked up the stairs again before running outside as fast as her heels could take her.

No matter how much Elena angered her… no matter how much she wished she could slap her sister over the head and miraculously make her less stupid, she was still her sister…

And she'd be damned before she let anyone kill her.

Her family belonged to her.

She had no idea where she was going but her magic seemed to be directing her as she stumbled upon Bonnie whispering something into Elena's bloodied palm as they knelt over a bench.

Her back was all red with blood and her bicep.

The two looked up once they spotted her and Elena's crying face shook slightly.

"Cherry…"

Was all she wobbled out in pain as Cherith slowly walked up to them, sitting on the bench and looking at her sister with an unclear expression.

"Are you okay sis?"

Elena nodded slightly, even though it was a lie and Bonnie looked at her fellow witch.

"I can't… do much about it, Cherry… I don't know how to heal her, I can only take some pain off of—"

"I'll do it."

Was all Cherith said as she grabbed Elena's hand gently and her hands lit up crimson.

She closed her eyes slowly and breathed in and out, the air picking up slightly as crimson mist moved around Elena, healing all her wounds and leaving both Elena and Bonnie in awe.

Cherith soon opened her eyes, standing up as Elena flexed her hands, standing up a bit.

"Thanks Cherry…"

She smiled softly but Cherith shook her head.

"Don't thank me yet. Katerina Petrova is a seemingly vindictive bitch with plans up her sleeves. I knew this would happen so it's not exactly surprising. Let me just… I'll be right back…"

"There was another witch."

Bonnie spoke up as she sat up.

"There's another witch here. I don't know but… I'll join you in there to find her Cherry…"

Cherith nodded and turned on her heels, walking back into the house, a slightly stony expression on her face.

She had to have a talk with a certain doppelganger.

As soon as she entered the house again, she walked around, looking for anything that would alert her to the presence of another witch.

She bumps into Caroline who looked slightly shaky.

"Oh! Sorry Cherith… is she..??"

Cherith knew who she was asking of and shook her head.

"No. Not yet but—are you okay?"

Cherith frowned at the faraway look on the blonde's face before her eyes widened in alarm as she runs off.

"What the fuck is it with people today?? Is another person dying??"

She sarcastically asked herself, ignoring the look of alarm people shut her as she walked past them and towards where she'd seem Caroline go through.

Even though she had a sort of vendetta against a certain vampire bitch, Caroline's face had been worth investigating.

She heard some muffled noise and a shout in what was the Old Mayor's office and rushed towards it, stopping in shock as she sees a girl on the floor, neck turned at a disturbing angle and Cherith's face wrinkled in disgust and shock.

Nearby, Matt was also on the ground and unconscious and Tyler was staring at the girl with a look of fear.

"What the fuck?!"

She spat out, making Caroline turn to her.

Cherith though, had a look of alarm in her face as she turned to Tyler… a dark feeling blooming in her chest.

"Tyler…"

His conflicted face turns to that of pain as he suddenly falls to the ground with a pained groan and Cherith knew it was already too late.

"Tyler??"

Caroline hesitantly walked over to him but Cherith held her back.

"Don't!"

"What's happening?!"

Caroline whispered harshly until Tyler raised his head and his eyes flashed amber.

"Well I'll be…"

Cherith muttered slightly fascinated.

Tyler Lockwood had activated his curse.

Cherith paced around, looking at the people in the room before turning to Caroline.

"I have to go…"

"What?"

"That vampy bitch is still alive, Caroline… take care of… this… call me if you need any help."

Cherith promised, before rushing out, not wanting to stay in the suffocating room, ignoring Tyler's look.

She'd talk to him later or something…

Cherith walked away from the passageway and stumbled into the huge dining where she saw Bonnie confronting another mocha skinned lady, hands clasped together and the lights flickering.

She frowned, walking over to them.

"Bonnie?..."

The two turned to Cherith and Cherith looked at the other witch oddly.

"Is she the witch?"

She motioned to the lady whose eyebrows raised slightly and Bonnie hesitatingly nodded before turning to the lady.

"She's… she's a witch too."

The mocha skinned beautiful looked at her in surprise.

"There were two of you here?!? I had no idea! Fuck, Katherine!"

She groaned and Cherith raised an eyebrow.

"So you work for her?"

"No. My name is Lucy. I had a favor to repay her and that's why I'm here. But I won't let her use me again. You can trust me with the stone."

Bonnie hesitated and Cherith's eyes hardened.

"Sorry but, I don't trust people."

Lucy turned to Cherith with a slight raised eyebrow and held out her hand.

"My magic… use my magic to test that."

She said resolutely and Cherith frowned, lips pursed as she stared at the open hand, not exactly sure what to do to it.

"Okay…???"

She whispered slightly and put her hand in it and immediately Lucy bunched over with a gasp, the room flickering dangerously and a strong wind busting through the windows of the house, startling a lot of guest and Cherith quickly took back her hand.

"Uhh…"

"You have a truckload of power…"

Lucy mumbled, looking at Cherith in a new light and a flash of jealousy went through Bonnie.

"I always have… now, how can I trust you?"

Cherith asked strongly, eyes becoming crimson and Lucy's eyes widened as if she'd come to a conclusion.

"So that's why…"

She shook her head before looking at the two girls.

"I swear I won't use it against you guys… Katherine deserves whatever it is she ends up getting. I don't care. I just want out of this as soon as possible. So please… trust me…"

She begged and Bonnie and Cherith turned to each other and seemingly communicated before Cherith sighed and waved at Bonnie who handed the moonstone to Lucy.

"Thank you. I won't betray your trust."

"You better not."

Cherith frowned disgruntled, before a light appeared in her eyes.

"Speaking of… what exactly are you going to do to the stone?"

Lucy smirked.

"I'll just put a little curse in there for Katherine… no biggie."

She smirked innocently and Cherith smirked, nodding.

"I like the way you think. Hmm… perhaps… could you give me the stone for a moment?"

Cherith held out her hand and Lucy frowned slightly, handing it to her and Cherith cupped the stone in her palms, bringing it close to her lips as the other two watched.

She'd been practicing on curses for a while now.

While she was not proficient, she had been researching a lot on her ability of mind control and how she could expand on it.

And in came nightmares.

If she could tap into people's minds… even read them… surely she could lull them into something… whatever it was that she wanted.

And now was a perfect time to try it on a suitable candidate.

Like she'd said… she didn't want Katerina Petrova to just die… no, that's the easy way out… and Cherith never did like that…

Instead, she'd prolong the bitch's torture.

Nightmare.

She opened her crimson eyes and seemingly breathed onto the stone red mist which settled around it before sinking into it and she grinned victoriously, handing the stone back to a slightly wary looking Lucy who took it slowly.

"What did you do to it?"

Bonnie asked curiously and Cherith shrugged.

"Eh… just added my own sugar and spice to the formula…"

She smiled so innocently that both of them didn't believe her a tick.

Lucy sighed, turning to the two of them.

"Thank you, for believing me. I won't let you down both… and you…"

She turned to Cherith, a strange look in her eyes mixed with slight awe.

"Do you know what you're capable of?"

Cherith looked right at her, a small tilt to her head as a curious Bonnie watched them both.

"I… am not sure yet…"

Lucy nodded understandingly.

"Be careful. Not everyone would be happy to know of your existence."

With a nod, she walks off and Bonnie turned to her.

"What's that about?"

Cherith waved her off.

"Not important at the moment… now we wait and see what's going on, I guess… I have to go find Caroline… I promised to see her immediately after I was done."

She sighed, getting frustrated.

She was getting pulled into a lot of things and she didn't want to.

"We'll talk later though… you have to teach me what you did."

Bonnie gave her a look and Cherith scoffed amused.

"If I can."

With that, she turns and walks off and in the direction she'd left Caroline.

Katherine smirks at the two brothers when she spots Lucy walk towards the spelled room.

"Katherine, the spell on this room has been broken, you're free to leave."

Katherine groaned with relief.

"Ugh! Thank God. They were becoming bores anyways…"

Lucy raised up the moonstone and Katherine's eyes brightened.

"When I hand this over my debt to you is over."

"Done."

She moved to grab it but Lucy pulled it away, giving her a serious look.

"I owe you nothing."

"I said done. Give it."

Katherine frowned and Damon shook his head, taking a step forward.

"I wouldn't do that."

Lucy ignores him though, looking right at Katherine before dropping the moonstone in her palm. As soon as it makes contact with a smirking Katherine's skin, the vampire frowned, bringing a hand to her throat and choking as she suddenly couldn't breath.

But that wasn't all though… a crimson red light shine from the stone like crackles of electricity and moved through her hand, settling on her forehead and dissipating.

It almost made Lucy want to stay back and figure out what the young witch had done.

Almost…

"You should have told me there were other witches involved in this. One's a Bennett witch, Katherine, and the other is a practical Myth in the supernatural world if I felt that right, but I'm sure you knew that."

Stefan immediately pounced on that information, saving it for later.

Lucy watched as the last bit of oxygen seemed to be gone from Katherine's body and Stefan stepped forward with an urgent look of panic in his eyes.

"Wait, Elena!"

"Elena's fine."

She assured him as Katherine was finally unconscious.

"The spell is broken. She'll heal quickly, Bonnie's with her. And the other witch. My my… you're building yourself powerful enemies Katherine."

She smiled pitifully at her and Stefan questioned her again.

"You said something about Cherith… something about a myth."

That caught Damon's attention too as he looked at her and Lucy nodded.

"Yes. That girl down there isn't just human… she's human and more… she's something that has existed for thousands and thousands of years amongst the supernatural kind. A mythical secret to say… or, I think she is. I don't know much, it's just that it's an open secret amongst witch kind too… it makes me wonder what she did to the stone and what the red mist was… very curious."

She whispered, making Stefan and Damon turn to each other with startled looks on their faces as they suddenly realized there was indeed more to Cherith Gilbert than her weird and obviously powerful magic.

Damon stared at her.

"How different are we going here?"

He asked and Lucy shrugged.

"You could always ask Katherine. She's lived for hundreds of years so I'm sure she knows a lot than I do. I'll be leaving now though… I apologize for my involvement."

With a nod, she turns and saunters off, leaving the two brothers staring at the body of Katherine Pierce, while their minds were also swimming with the new information they'd just stumbled across.

Cherith walked back to the room quietly and sees Caroline explaining the whole situation to Carol Lockwood who had a disturbed look on her face.

Cherith had nothing to explain to the woman and so decided to turn back and leave.

It wouldn't do for them to know that a lot of people were involved in this whole madness and this really touched the ruby haired witch.

Sarah was close friends with another girl… Aimee Bradley, who was coincidentally another cousin of Leslie's if you'd believe it.

She wondered how the girl would feel when she knew that her close friend was dead.

Speaking of Aimee…

Cherith walked outside and the night air beat against her skin…

She hasn't seen the girl much and she was usually everywhere with Sarah… and she knew Caroline had not been a fan of said girl when she'd been flirting it up with Matt.

Anyways!

Cherith shook her head as she walked towards her car.

She just really needed to go home.

"Cherith Gilbert, right?"

Cherith immediately turned to see Lucy staring at her.

"Thought you'd be gone by now though…"

Lucy scoffed with a small smile.

"I would… but I thought I should also come find you, so you'd know that I did my part… I really want no part in this vampire business."

Cherith scoffed, dark look on her face.

"Don't we all…"

Lucy looked at her closely and shook her head.

"Well… that's bad for you then… you're basically a magnet for the supernatural… it's been before you were born."

Cherith frowned, suddenly remembering this lady knew something about her powers.

"What do you know about me?"

"Just the Myth. If I'm too believe what I saw when I saw your eyes… or how your magic felt… I'd hazard a guess and say you're the Scarlet Witch."

Cherith's eyes widened and she stepped forward.

"You know… what… what do you know about it? I have no one to ask… no one to turn to."

Lucy gave her an apologetic look.

"I'm sorry… I really don't know much… the myth is quite well known and people believe it to be just that… a myth… because it has existed for thousands of years… and now, I find her in the middle of a small town… in a tiny adorable person."

Cherith gave her an unimpressed look.

"I am definitely not tiny missy… say what you want about other people but I am not them…"

Lucy chuckled.

"You be careful though… according to the myth… you're a Nexus being… meaning you are basically a mini god yourself… people will try to control you… or even take your powers."

"Let them come."

Lucy frowned.

"Don't act so cocky… everybody has a weakness… it doesn't matter how minuscule it is… there always is… and magic… wiccan magic almost always comes with a price, especially when used for a powerful phenomenon… you on the other hand, can use magic without the fear of a price. Chaos magic. A lot of people would be tempted to use that… and they will come for you… by any means necessary."

Cherith swallowed slightly at the dark look on Lucy's face and suddenly realized just how right she was.

Mystic Falls had always just made the world seem small to her… but out there… there were billions of other people… probably hundreds of thousands of other supernaturals as well…

And while Cherith knew she had potential… she hadn't accessed all of them yet.

"Do you know who the Harkness Clan is?"

She whispered slightly and Lucy's eyes widened in surprise.

"How do you know that name?"

"Sheila Bennett… she told me to be wary of them."

Lucy nodded strongly.

"And she is right. That name is a blacklisted one in the witch community. There was an accident 16 years ago that wiped them off… but there are still whispers of some left alive… they don't come across the pond but they are well known here… for their dabbling in the darkest of magics… if they are indeed still left around, and if Sheila Bennett of all people told you to be wary of them… then you better be… they really are one of the worst sort."

Cherith nodded with a serious look on her face.

Meeting someone who actually knew quite a lot about things like this was super rare, and she was glad she's been able to meet Lucy.

Said lady looked around and smiled.

"I have to leave now. It was nice meeting you though… do take care of Bonnie for me, will ya?"

With a playful wink, she walked off, leaving Cherith swimming in the information she'd gathered.

All in all, she decided she hadn't had enough to drink for such bombs to be dropped on her lap that night.

After all, finding out you were some sort of a minor god… in the supernatural community… that could break a girl.

Fell's Church Ruins.

Katherine wakes up in the tomb with a groan as she idly wondered where she was. The moonstone lay on the messy ground, next to her and she immediately grabs it, getting up and looking around.

Blurring towards the open passage, she bumps against an invisible wall and bounces back, a dark feeling trickling in her as she realizes that she wasn't getting away any time soon.

Damon walks to stand in front of the doorway, a small smirk on his face.

"Hello Katherine."

"Where am I?"

She demanded as she banged against the invisible doorway as if looking for a weak spit she could escape from.

"Where you should have been all along. I thought you'd have learned your lesson by now, messing with a Bennett witch to help you acquire the moonstone. Didn't have much trust in you, hm?"

He mocked and Katherine looked at him icily.

"You should have killed me."

Damon scrunched his nose up.

"Hm, nah. Like Cherry Berry said, death would have been too kind."

He goes to close the tomb door and Katherine panics, calling out to him.

"No, Damon, don't. Damon, don't. You need me, Elena's in danger."

That immediately stops Damon short as he looks right at her.

"From who?"

She doesn't answer, still hoping to keep all information to herself as a bargaining chip but Damon scoffs, not believing her.

"You're lying, you're always lying."

"NO! Why do you think I haven't killed her? Because she's the doppelgänger. She needs to be protected."

He gives her a look and turns away.

"Then I'll protect her, while you rot in hell."

He starts to close the door, ignoring Katherine's panicked shouts.

"No, Damon, don't! I'll do anything, please. Damon! You need me! Damon!"

She banged against the walls as no one answered her.

"You need me! You need me!"

But the door is already closed. She cries out and hits the door very hard. Nothing happens and she drops to the ground in terror.

Breathing heavily and thinking about her ruined plans, she doesn't noticed the floor around her seemingly bubbling up the sands were boiling.

The little light in the room seemed to emit an harsh and judgemental look against her and she looked around as she heard eerie whispers.

Head whipping around, she blurs up to her feet, thinking someone was behind the door.

"Damon?! Stefan?!"

She called out with a little bit of hope but the eerie whispers seemingly increased, focusing mainly only in the place she was and all the hairs on her body raised apprehensively.

As she took a first step though, she tumbled with a yelp to the ground as she felt a hand hold onto her ankle and let out a terrified gasp as she saw a bunch of bloodied hands rise from the ground and hold onto her wrists and ankles.

"No… no! No!"

She shouts out, trying to use her vampire strength to drag her hand away but it only lifts the head connected to a limb holding her hand and she lets out a scream as she sees the lifeless corpse of her mother, skin rotten and a eyeball dangling against her cheek.

"No!!! Mama!! This isn't real!!"

She screamed out as she felt herself being dragged into the sands…

Heads began to pop out, limbs connected to them as they dragged her down with them and she began to recognize faces of her old villagers who had been slaughtered because she ran.

She cried out when she saw her father, jaw unhinged and dark blood pouring out and his face all blank and soulless.

As she was halfway through the ground, it began to take an eerie reddish yellow glow and the floor began to turn hot and she felt her skin cook up as she screams out, blood pouring down her eyes and she coughed as her teeth began to fall from her mouth, blood dripping and leaving her a mess.

The whispers increased.

"Katerina…"

She knew that voice anywhere.

"It's been a while, Katerina."

A shadowed figure materialized from nowhere and she whimpered as the smell of her skin entered her nose, pain clouding her whole mind.

"Katerina…"

But the voice was… distorted… like it was two people speaking at once.

A man and a woman.

The corpses of her parents began moving towards her as the shadowy figure go closer and she cried out.

"Please!!! Help me!!! Stop!!"

"Katerina…"

The shadowy figure stops in front of her and indeed, it was made of shadows that alternated between a man and a woman.

The male voice, oh yes she knew.

The bane of her very existence.

The female it sounded so familiar.

"Zdravei Katerina."

She cried out in pain, and fear as the rotten corpses of her parents pulled out her hair with as much strength as they could, blood pooling on her head as the other villagers corpses moaned all around.

"Zdravei Katerina…"

The female voice was now more focused than the hybrid's as Katherine whimpered and opened her eyes.

"Zdravei Katerina…"

That voice…

It was… Cherith Gilbert.

The shadow must have seen the look of recognition on her face as the air turned sinister and suddenly the voice was monstrous, as if iron met iron and made a disgusting screeching sound.

"ZDRAVEI KATERINA!!!"

It screeched out loud, growing in height and turning into a nightmare so scary that it should never be seen by the human eyes.

And Katherine Pierce let out the loudest scream she'd ever made in her life as it dived down at her.

Lockwood Residence.

Elena walked towards her car in the darkened spot as she talked with Jeremy on the phone.

"Yeah Jeremy, I've got my car. Tell Bonnie thanks and if Cherith is still at the party, that whatever she did, I'm all better now, though I may still see her at home if I don't fall asleep."

She stops in front of her car.

"Yeah, you can drive Bonnie home. I'm just gonna go straight to bed. Okay."

As soon as she hangs up, she goes through her bag for her key, not noticing a masked man coming up behind her, not until he harshly grabs her from behind, covering her mouth and hitting her head against the window, successfully leaving her unconscious and kidnaps her.

Hi guys!

So this happened...

Poor, poor Katherine.

And oh! Elijah will be showing up in the next chapter!! Yay!!!

We'll finally see the noble one again.

And then there's going to be Cherith's reaction to Elena being missing.

I hope you all look forward to it.

What did you all think about what Lucy said too??

It seems the well kept Scarlet Witch secret Cherith had been hiding is starting to unfold slowly but surely amongst the 'Scooby gang'.

Let's see what happens next.
