RAW is WAR: 25/1/1999
RAW is WAR was live at the America West Arena in Phoenix, Arizona just 24 hours removed from the 1999 Royal Rumble PPV event. Vince McMahon won the Rumble match by eliminating Austin last but it was thanks to the Rock, the WWF Champion. However, at the start of the show, WWF Commissioner Shawn Michaels announced Austin vs McMahon for St. Valentine's Day Massacre: In Your House on February 14th.
In the arena, Shane McMahon, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson make their way to the ring. Entering the ring, Tony Chimel hands the microphone to Shane before leaving the ring.
"I'm gonna get right into this. Kane, boy you've been screwing up lately! I mean, last Monday on RAW is WAR, Kane you defied my father and everybody knows you should never cross the boss. But after the Royal Rumble was over last night, you finally showed some intelligence. You came up to the McMahon corporation suite and you humbly apologized to the McMahons. So Kane, to show you that the McMahon family is a compassionate family, I want you to join me out here, please." Shane said.
"Woah." Jerry says in shock.
Kane's theme plays and and the pyro goes off as the Big Red Machine makes his way to the ring under the red light.
"Michael Cole what do you find hard to believe?" Jerry asks. "That Kane went to the McMahons and said sorry to Mr. McMahon?"
"That's Shane's story." Cole shot back.
Kane makes his way to the ring and gets onto the ring apron, climbing over the top rope and stands across from Shane who looked pleased Kane did as he requested.
"Now Kane, last night's apology was so heartfelt...I would like you to repeat those very words,...in public." Shane said.
"Woah, he wants a public apology from Kane." Cole said.
Kane takes out the voice device Kane uses to speak. He brings it to his neck as Shane brings the microphone to his masked mouth and Kane says. "I apologize."
"No!" Cole gasp in shock that Kane would actually go through with this in public.
"Kane, seriously, I didn't hear that." Shane said with a frown.
Kane clenches his fist as he says once more louder. "I apologize."
"I guess you heard that, didn't you Michael? He apologized!" Jerry said.
Shane nods but smirks. "Hey Kane, that isn't good enough!" Kane looks at him with a glare. "Oh no, get down on your knee and apologize. On your knee and apologize!"
"That Shane is a chip off the old block, isn't he?" Jerry laughs.
"This isn't funny, King. He already said he was sorry." Cole said, feeling sorry Kane had to go through with this humiliation just because he didn't want to be sent back to the mental asylum.
"On your knee Kane!" Shane orders.
Kane gets to a knee, fighting every urge he can to stop himself from attacking Shane and getting himself into more trouble. "I apologize." Kane gets to his feet right after saying those two words.
"Kane! That's not good enough!" Shane shakes his head. "Get down on both knees before me and apologize! On your knees!"
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
"Wait, what?!" Jerry shouts over the loud shocked cheers at the wolf howl as the lights go out. "Is that...?"
"I think it is, King!" Cole grins.
Jim Johnston's Dark Side starts playing as Fire goes off at the stage and the lights change to dark red and dark blue as the Bladewolf walks out to a loud pop from the fans.
"It is!" Cole shouts. "The Bladewolf is back! We haven't seen him since Survivor Series where he defeated the Undertaker, but got locked in a casket that was set ablaze! We thought he was gone for good!"
"Oh my God." Jerry says with concern and worry for Shane.
Bladewolf begins his methodical, intimidating walk to the ring with his eyes on everyone in the ring. He was once again wearing the black, leather trench coat he wore before WrestleMania 14. It had the wolf skull with red eyes on the back of it, and he still wore the same attire he's been wearing since WrestleMania 14.
"I don't think Bladewolf is liking what Shane is putting his brother through." Cole said. "Bladewolf has had enough troubles involving his family and seeing Kane be humiliated like this must make him angry."
"Run Shane!" Jerry shouts.
Bladewolf gets onto the ring apron and stares directly at Shane before climbing over the top rope and briefly adjusts his hood a little, the cameraman getting close enough to see those demonic hellfire eyes of his behind that demonic wolf mask of his.
Bladewolf's theme dies down and he grabs the microphone right out of Shane's hands to laughs and cheers from the fans. The crowd was still buzzing at seeing Bladewolf once again after three months.
Bladewolf stares directly at Shane before speaking. "Who...do you think you are, little man? You dare try to command my brother Kane to do what you want? No one controls my family, we do what we want. When I came here, I was going to start destroying somebody to show that I was back and stronger than ever before...then I saw you demanding Kane to say sorry to you. For that, boy, you just earned yourself a meeting with the Demon Wolf. Now my brothers and I may have our differences, we may beat the hell out of each other, and I have not forgiven my older brother for what he did at Survivor Series but I will say that if ANYONE dares mess with my family...you pay the price...with your souls."
Bladewolf drops the microphone and stares Shane down as Kane suddenly attacks Brisco and Patterson, sends them out of the ring and stands behind Shane who looks wide eyed with terror between the two brothers.
"Get out of there Shane!" Jerry shouts.
Bladewolf grabs Shane by the throat to cheers from the fans, the cheers growing louder when Kane also grabs Shane by the throat. The two brothers lift Shane up...AND PLANT HIM WITH A DOUBLE CHOKESLAM!
"Double Chokeslam on Shane McMahon!" Cole shouts.
The two brothers were not done as Bladeowlf says something to Kane who nods and grabs Shane, lifting him up onto his shoulder and into position for the Tombstone Piledriver. Bladewolf heads up to the top rope before he jumps off...AND THEY HIT A SPIKE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!
"Spike Tombstone Piledriver!" Cole exlciams.
"No Shane!" Jerry cries out.
"Not funny now, is it, King?" Cole chuckles.
Bladewolf and Kane stare down at Shane's unconscious body before Bladewolf grabs the microphone and gets to one knee, leaning close to Shane's ear. "When you wake up and see daddy...tell him the Bladewolf is back and Kane will be teaming with me. The Brothers of Destruction are back."
Bladewolf drops the microphone and stands up, fixing his coat, as Kane raises his arms, about to summon fire when they saw the rest of the Corporation running down the ramp. They slide into the ring but the two brothers easily fight them off.
"The Bladewolf and Kane fighting side by side once more!" Cole exclaims over the cheers.
Bladewolf grabs Big Boss Man by the throat and Kane joins him. Nodding, both brothers lift Boss Man up...AND PLANT HIM WITH A DOUBLE CHOKESLAM!
"Double Chokeslam to Boss man!" Cole shouts.
Bladewolf whirls around and locks eyes with Vince, the man who has not given Bladewolf what he wanted and that was the cause for Bladewolf's foul mood for most of 1998 and today. Vince goes to run but Bladewolf grabs him to cheers from the fans as Bladewolf grabs him by the throat with both hands before he nails the boss with a hard right hook to a pop from the fans.
"Bladewolf knocks out the boss!" Cole shouts.
"That's Mr. McMahon!" Jerry shouts.
Bladewolf fixes his trench coat before he grabs Vince and hoists him onto his shoulder and stands in the middle of the ring...THEN HITS THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER ON VINCE MCMAHON!
"Tombstone on the boss!" Cole exclaims over the loud cheers.
"Good God." Jerry said in horror.
Bladewolf and Kane stand tall amongst the carnage around them, bodies laid out. Bladewolf looks at Kane and the two brothers nod before Bladewolf gets to a knee and does the Undertaker salute, his tongue seen coming out the mouth part of the demonic wolf mask. Kane stands behind his brother, raises his arms and throws them down which makes fire explode from the turnbuckles.
"Oh my!" Jerry exclaims.
Dark Side plays under the dark blue and dark red light mix as Bladewolf stands up, the two brothers looking at the bodies around them before Bladewolf leaves the ring with Kane following.
"The Brothers of Destruction are back together." Cole says. "Well, half of it really. But they still go by that name even without the Undertaker. This team is going to be unstoppable. Think they'll make a run for the WWF World Tag Team Championships?"
"I pray for Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart if they do." Jerry says. "Nothing will stop these two monsters if they became the World Tag Team Champions."
Well, Kane and Bladewolf are now a team and it seems they may be wanting tag team gold. Will they get it or will they cause destruction until they get it? Oh who am I kidding, they'll cause destruction on their way to get a title shot.
I hope everyone is excited to see Bladewolf and Kane as partners and using the Brothers of Destruction name.
