Chapter Thirty-Two: Another Crisis
The feast was unlike any feast Vanessa has ever gone to in Hogwarts. Everyone was in their pajamas and it was celebrated all night. Dobby was free thanks to Harry's plan. All those that were petrified were now unpetrified and had gone to the feast. Harry and Ron were happy to see Hermione. Hagrid had turned up half past three and hugged Harry, Ron and Vanessa for clearing his name. Gryffindor won the House Cup again thanks to the six hundred points she, Harry and Ron. Best of all Professor McGonagall announced that all exams had been canceled as a school treat. Everyone was excited, well everyone except Hermione. Dumbledore announced that Professor Lockhart wouldn't be able to return next year as he needed to go away and get his memory back. Not only did Vanessa and a few other students cheered but all the teachers joined in as well.
When school had came to an end everyone packed up and headed towards Hogwarts Express. Vanessa sat in a compartment with Dawn, Rain, Artism and Malcom. Rain was telling them how she found out that Ravenclaws' prefect, Penelope Clearwater, is dating Percy Weasley. Vanessa chuckled as she wondered if Fred and George knew about this yet. Happy she may seem but she was still wondering what to do about telling Harry. Dumbledore understood that Harry should know but not before Hunter. He and Vanessa believed that Hunter would take it well, especially since his adopted parents are Hades and Maleficent. And Maleficent is known as the Mistress of Evil. But she's not sure if Hunter wants to hear it.
It didn't take long till they made it to Platform 9 3/4 and to King Cross station. Waiting for them was the Weasley family, Vanessa's parents and the lawyer they hired. Hilda Shadows was a witch lawyer that dealt with cases like Harrys' and one of the few witches that knew how to dress like a Muggle.
"Mrs. Shadows, this is a surprise." Vanessa said
"Well we got some good news. Thanks to the information about the bar window and lock door with a flap I was able to get something on them." Hilda smiled "Once your uncle Vermon heard the word prison for child neglect, abuse and endangerment. He caved into signing forms along with a little vile of your Aunt Petunias' blood for the protection charm."
"Wait? Are you saying...saying that I…that I no longer have to...have to…" Harry smiled
"Yes, you no longer have to live with the Dursely's." Hilda smiled "All you have to do is gather your things from the house and that's it."
Harry and Vanessa smiled and hugged each other in happiness.
"We'll take Harry there while Merlin takes you and Malcom to Auradon for Jane's birthday party." Adam smiled
"Oh, that reminds me, who were the new arrivals. How did the event go?" Vanessa asked
Adam and Bell both tensed but still placed a fake smile.
"We'll tell you when we get home." Adam said
Vanessa knew that something was wrong as she knew that tone in his voice. Something must have gone wrong when Mal and the others got the new VK's.
While Harry went with her parents Vanessa and Malcom said goodbye to their friends Merlin used his magic to take them to Aruadon. When they got to the school both teenagers sensed something was off. After they got closer to the school they saw everyone either asleep or turned into statues.
"Vanessa, what's happening here?" Malcom asked
"I don't know." Vanessa said as she got Dude out of his crate. "But suggest we keep our wands out just in case."
They looked around until they heard voices up ahead. When they got closer they saw the VK's, Uma, Hook, Gil and three kids that Vanessa didn't know. Hunter saw his girlfriend and friend and hurried over to them.
"Vanessa." He said hugging her.
"Hunter, what's going on?" Vanessa asked
"Believe it or not, but Audrey took mothers' staff and now she's...evil." Hunter explained. "Well more than usual and powerful."
"Somehow I knew that this would happen one day." Vanessa muttered before waving at Uma. "Hey, Uma. I love your new look."
"Hey girl." Uma smiled
"Oh, Vanessa, there are few people I would like you to meet. This is the other friend of mine and Malcom's, Axel, son of Chernabog." Hunter said and gestured to a tall boy with brown shaggy hair. "The little one is Celia, daughter of Dr. Facilier." He pointed to the ten year old girl. "And this is…"
"Maggie!" Malcom said fear.
The teenage girl had long dyed pink and purple hair and the same green eyes as Malcom.
"Malcom's sister was one of the chosen five?" Vanessa whispered
"No, only Axel and Celia were one of the fives. She snuck out along with Hook and Gil." Hunter muttered
"Hello brother dear. Two years and not one letter." Maggie said "You broke Mommy and Grammys."
Malcom let out a barking laugh.
"Ha, yeah right. You were always moms' and Grams' favorite." He said
"Well not anymore since you got accepted to Hogwarts. Now that you got magic they can't stop praising you." Maggie glared as she crossed her arms
This got Malcom to raise a brow and looked at Axel. The half demon nodded as he kept an eye on his family every once and a while. Their confirmation was cut off when Jay and Hook started an argument. Uma and Mal were able to stop them.
"Look, since we're here, let's check the school." Uma said
"No. Audrey went straight for the crown, so I think it's safe to assume she's gonna go for Ben and his castle next." Mal said "That's where we'll go."
"Says who?" Uma glared
"Says me." Mal glared
"Say you and that's suppose to me anything." Uma scoffed
"Guys, come on. Both of you are right." Vanessa said "We'll check both places. From what Lonnie and Pandora has written to me she's still pining over Ben so I agree with Mal on this. If she's not there then we'll check the school to see if we can find something."
Uma and Mal looked at each other and silently agreed. With Dude he was able to track Ben's scent. On the way Hunter explained everything that has happened. When he and the VK's got the new arrivals and were about to leave Hades used his amber to try and break out when the barrier was slightly opened. Mal was able to stop him but Hades' amber nearly drained her of her powers. This frightened the kingdom and Mal told them that her parents wanted to stop bringing more VK's from the Isle. Hunter said Mal wasn't gonna let that happen but when Vanessa looked at Mal she could sense guilt from. Then Audrey cursed Mal to be old and the only way to change her was Hades amber. The curse broke when they got through the barrier and Mal was able to get Hades amber. Hunter also told that her father was still safe and looking better. The Ministry did find out that he escaped and wanted to let the Demintors' check the Isle but Ben wouldn't allow it. So once a week an Aurora would come by to search the Isle. Vanessa was happy to hear that her father was safe. Then he explained how Hook, Gil and Maggie got out and Uma appeared as she caught the amber Mal almost lost. The only reason Uma and the others came was because she promised to give Mal back the amber if only Mal promised that she'll free all the VK's after this. Once again Mal had the sense of guilt on her again.
After a while they had gone to Vaness's home and they found some walls with claw marks on them. After following the Dude and the claw marks they ended up in one of the army rooms. They all spread around to look in the different rooms. Well, minus Celia as Evie wanted to keep her safe and Jay as he was keeping an eye on Hook to make sure he didn't steal anything.
"I bet you lost some sleep thinking about me on the loose, huh?" Uma said with a mocking tone.
"No. Dragons don't really lose sleep." Mal said "I wonder what fried octopus tastes like."
"Okay, why do we not?" Evie sigh
"We're celebrating our differences." Uma said
Suddenly a knight moved and only Hook noticed this. He tried to warn them but Uma and Mal continued arguing.
"Girls! We have a situation here." He said
They looked at the knight and Audrey's voice came out of it.
"You like a prince, Mal? How about a knight in shining armor? Or Knights!"
Suddenly all the knights in the room started coming alive. Everyone backed away to the center of the room until Uma had Hook gathered the swords.

Having enough of this Vanessa got between the two with her own sword.

Everyone broke off to take out a knight. Vanessa hurried towards a few to fight them off and Uma went to help her out.
Vanessa 'This situation's getting kinda heavy

They were able to take them down and everyone gathered back to the center.

Suddenly more Knights barged into the room to fight them.

The knights gathered together and did a few dance moves before stalking towards them with their swords out. Mal and Uma clashed their swords with the knights and their magic electrified them.
Mal 'Suit of armor strong and true
Make this metal bust the move!'
She started doing some dancing moves and the Knights followed her move. Uma and Carlos did the same thing before the four girls gathered together and conjured their magic together to control them. With them everyone, including the knights, were dancing.

Once their spell was done the Knights collapsed to the floor. Everyone cheered at this and for a second they were all almost friends. That was until Mal and Uma almost high five each other. It was long till everyone broke to their group. Only Vanessa and Evie stood in the middle, a little disappointed.
"Guys, come one. This was so great!" Evie said
"Yeah, for once we weren't divided." Vanessa said "We were a team. We worked together."
Evie sighed.
"You know what we should try?" Evie said "An ice breaker."
Mal, Hunter, Jay, Carlos and Malcom groaned at this as they didn't think this would work. Vanessa stood by Axel and Celia as they didn't want to choose sides.
"You say something you really like about the other person." Evie said as she looked at Uma, Hook, Gil and Maggie. "Okay? I'll start. Harry. Great accent. Now, you go."
"Is she always this perky?" Uma asked
"It wasn't really your turn, but thank you." Evie smiled
"Okay, Evie? Come here." Mal said
"Okay, guys. Since Audrey isn't here and now knows where we are, we should go with Umas' plan and go to the school." Vanessa said "Maybe we'll be able to find out where she's hiding in her dorm."
Mal was gonna disagree but Vanessa put her hand up.
"No offense Mal but you're not the Queen yet. Until we find Ben or until my parents come back, that makes me in charge and I say us girls do Umas' plan while the boys look for Ben." Vanessa said
Mal looked a little taken back by this while Uma smiled at Vanessa's leadership.
"We'll meet back at the VK's house in an hour. Does anyone have a problem with that?" Vanessa asked
Mal looked at Hunter for some support.
"I'm sorry Mal, but girlfriend or not she does have a point. At least Uma will be with you so you'll know where fathers' amber is." Hunter said
Mal sighed but agreed.
Vanessa led the girl group towards the dorm while Hunter led the boy group to find Ben with the help of Dude. The girls found her room and started looking for Audrey. Like Uma and Vanessa thought she wasn't around they checked the room. Uma found her diary while Maggie and Celia were trying on Audrey's clothes and jewelry. She found out that she hangs out at Fairy Cottage. Sadly Vanessa didn't know where it was as she was never invited to it but Ben does. Seeing that they couldn't find anything else they headed to the VK's house. When they got there they found Dizzy, Squeaky and Squirmy under the sleeping spell, along with Doug. Evie was able to break the spell by true love's kiss.
With Hunter and the boys they followed Dude to the woods. When they got deeper Dude stopped when something fowl caught his sense of smell. That's when a Beast creature jumped out of the trees and tried to attack them.
"You need some serious nose adjustments." Hook said
"I'm not so sure." Carlos said
It let out another roar and Hunter realised that the Beast was wearing Bens' clothes.
"Ben?" He asked "Did Audrey do that?"
"Ah. I thought I recognized those pants." Jay said
Ben growled before cradling his beast hand.
"Aw, he's got a boo-boo, that's why he's so cranky." Gil said "You know, my dad said that his dad did not handle pain well at all."
Ben growled deadly at them.
Axel hit Gil's arm.
"Gil, for once shut up." He muttered
"Uh only if Artism was here. He's pretty good with magical creatures." Malcolm said
"Um, Carlos, you're good with animals. Do something." Jay replied
"But...Okay. Alright." Carlos said and started walking closer to Ben with precaution. "Okay, Ben. It's me, Carlos. Alright?"
Ben swiped at him with his claw hand.
"Whoa! Ben, Ben, it's Carlos. Alright? You know me." Carlos said "You helped me once. Remember with Dude? Right? Let me help you. Come on, let me see your hand."
It took a while but Ben let him see his hand and Carlos pulled out the torn. That calmed him down. Suddenly Jane appeared and sprayed some water on Ben. The water happened to be from the Enchanted Lake and it helped Ben change back a little. He only had a facial beard and beast fangs. Carlos was glad to see that Jane was alright and hugged her. Jay and Hunter helped Ben down and helped sit on a log.
"Oh, that was...funky." Ben sighed
"Was. Still is." Jay smirked and pointed to his face and teeth.
"Huh? Oh, wow." Ben asked before feeling his own face and realized what he meant.
"Yeah, can't wait for Mal to see that." Hunter chuckled
"Don't worry, he just needed another blast." Jane said and sprayed again but it didn't work.
"Huh. It's Enchanted Lake water, but I guess it can only do so much." She shrugged
When Hook saw her he tried flirting with her until Carlos told him that she was his girlfriend. Axel couldn't help but laughed at this as he knew Maggie was gonna get jealous when she hears this. She always had a crush on Hook because he either hadn't noticed it or he was afraid of her and her grandma.
"Wait, hold on. Whose side are they on?" Ben asked
"They escaped and joined us. Mal has the ember, which is our only hope to stop Audrey, details to follow." Jay explained
"Hades' ember? Has Mal gone back to the Isle?" Ben asked
"We'll tell you on the way. We're meeting up with Vanessa, Mal, Evie, Maggie and Uma." Hunter said
"Uma?!" Ben said disbelief
"Details to follow!" Everyone said
