Welcome viewers to another chapter of SSU! Last chapter, the heroes received some much-needed upgrades as well as finding out that Alpha was R.O.B. Master also found out the location of the next Smashers, which was located at the top of Mount Icy, a monster of a mountain known for its deadly temperatures, snowstorms, and various hostile natives. At the same time, the Subspace Army found them as well and sent Jeff and Dave to retrieve them with the army providing backup. With the two opposing forces after the same target, it became a race. Who will get to the Smashers first? Let's find out...

Chapter 29: Coming Round The Mountain (Side A: Dark Side)

"It's where!?" Kimani exclaimed, causing Master to sweatdrop in response.

"Mount Icy. One of the 7 mountains here. Unfortunately, Icy is the biggest one here and also the most dangerous. Below freezing temperatures, frequent ice storms and even natives that don't take too kindly to intruders," Master explained. Kimani's posture dropped as a result.

"Man... At least I can set myself on fire..." He sighed, casually igniting his hand.

"What kind of monster would I be if I didn't help you survive?" Master asked, snapping his fingers and causing everyone to glow before it stopped. They looked at each other and saw that their outfits had changed. Kimani had on thick black snow pants with two red lines going down on the side, a red sweater with a vest over it, (The vest has a hood on it) and he had a red snow cap on as well. Jordan also had thick snow pants on as well but he had a full blown winter coat on that made him look even bigger than he already was. He also had a wool cap on with two horns on it. Austin had pretty much the same thing as Kimani, but his pants were a bit lighter than Kimani's pants and he had on fingerless gloves. Dylan had snow pants and a thick winter jacket on in yellow and he had a Pikachu hat on with two long drawstrings on the sides.

"Oh, nice!" Dylan exclaimed, playing with the drawstrings on his hat. Kimani squealed at he eyed the vest.

"Is this a sleeveless hoodie!?" He loudly asked, flipping the hood up, his eyes sparkling in amazement. The others snorted in response before Master snapped his fingers, causing a tray with 4 mugs of what seemed to be Hot Cocoa to appear in his hands.

"Yes, it is. Here, drink this as well," He answered, holding out the tray. The others took it and looked at it in displeasure, confusing the reality warper.

"What's wrong?"

"No marshmallows?" Dylan dejectedly asked. Crazy choked back laughter while Master loudly facepalmed. He used his other hand and snapped, causing some marshmallows to appear in their Hot Cocoa. They quickly downed the drink, feeling extremely warm inside.

"Oh wow. I'm feeling warmer than usual!" Kimani exclaimed, looking himself over. The others agreed as well.

"These clothes have minor heat magic within them in order to keep you warm, with the exception of Kimani's who have heavy heat magic." Master explained, giving Kimani a wink. Kimani thanked him for the consideration as he continued.

"The Hot Cocoa also had a enchantment in it that will ward you from the cold for about 12 to 15 hours so try and finish the mission before that,"

"Isn't it a giant mountain? You think we can get there in that amount of time?"

"To the top? Yes. I have a way to get you back to the Manor when you reach them so don't worry about the climb back down," He told them. The four of them nodded, before Master told them to grab Mario and Red as they had asked Master earlier to accompany them. The four of them walked out the door towards the Living Room while the brothers stayed behind, finishing one more thing for the heroes.

Smash Manor- Living Room

The four of them arrived in the Living Room, gaining a few looks from a couple of Smashers. Mario walked in at the same time, bundled up in a red puffy winter jacket and blue snow pants on. His hat stayed however. Red appeared as well with a red jacket, black snow pants, snow boots and a snow cap with a pokeball icon on it. Six Pokeballs were strapped to his belt loop, however they were shrunken so they didn't take up too much space.

"Hey guys! Ready to climb up this mountain?!" Mario excitedly asked, gaining looks from the teens.

"How can you be excited about this!?" Kimani exasperatedly asked, his hood falling off when he snapped towards him.

"I've always had a soft-a spot for snow,"

"Yeah, well. I'm just happy to help you guys out. It's the least I can do for you guys after protecting my Pokémon as well as detrophying me," Red added, his hands in his pockets.

"No problem!" Dylan answered. The six of them idly chatted before Master and Crazy warped into room. Master turned towards Austin and handed him a small orb.

"Here, this will teleport you guys back to the Manor's front lawn once you activate it. Just crush it in your hand and it'll teleport you four along with anyone close by," Master told him, getting a nod in return. Austin stuffed it into his pocket before Crazy stepped up.

"Be careful guys. I've been getting some dark feelings around the mountain so keep your eyes and ears out for the Subspace Army," He warned.

"No problem, Crazy. Alright, everyone ready?" Mario answered, looking back at his party. Everyone, including the ones in the Wii-Mote, grunted before Master snapped his fingers, teleporting the group.

"You think the Subspace Army will stop them?" Crazy asked his brother.

"No of course not. They haven't stopped us before and we don't plan on changing that now," Master answered, placing his hand on Crazy's shoulder. Crazy looked at him before his trademark grin appeared.

Subspace Base- Barracks (30 minutes before heroes departure)

In the Barracks, Primids were scattered, gearing up and readying themselves to board the Subspace Halberd. In the corner was Jeff and Dave, silently waiting for the signal. As usual, Jeff looked aggravated while Dave eyed him cautiously. It was then that a klaxon rung out, signaling that the ship was ready to be boarded. The massive amount of Primids went towards the exit but was forced to stop once a portal opened in front of them, the Leader stepping out of it.

"Before you all go. I've realized that things haven't been going to plan," The Leader starred, already gaining sour looks from a few Primids.

"However, all I ask is that you bare with me for just a bit longer. Despite these... Shortcomings, we're still on track for our plan,"

"How? We keep losing to them," A Metal Primid pipped up. The Leader shot him a look, causing him to shrink on the spot. The others near him stepped away in response.

"That's a completely valid feeling. You think we need the Smashers in order for our plan to work? No, not at all. Yes, it would make things easier but ultimately, they aren't needed. I can make clones of them just like that," The Leader explained, snapping his claws. In front of him spawned a swarm of Shadow Bugs that eventually formed a dark copy of Mario, causing everyone to gasp and mutter in surprise. Jeff raised an eyebrow while Dave flat out yelled, "Wait, what?!"

"Unfortunately, this drains quite a bit of energy from me. Master and his goons will eventually come here and I plan on wiping them out with a gift from Tabuu,"

"A gift?" A Fire Primid asked. The Leader smiled under his cloak as two large wings appeared on his back. They were large butterfly-like wings that were complex in design. They were blue in the middle and turned progressively more purple as they got farther away. The entire room went silent in awe as The Leader flapped them lightly, almost blowing the front row over. Dave was obviously confused on what this meant, but Jeff's entire posture seized up, his hand tightening so much that the sound of his glove tensing caught Dave's attention. To describe Jeff's look at that moment would be impossible. It was confusion, rage, relief, betrayal and about 6 other emotions rolled up into one complex look.

"Tabuu was gracious enough to lend me his wings," The Leader said. That line was enough for Jeff to snap as he unsheathed his sword, which was curved slightly. He then quickly drew a card from his scarf and threw it with a quick snap of his wrist, watching as it arched towards the Leader. Before it made contact, he muttered "Brink," causing him to suddenly warp to his card. Using the momentum from the spin, he launched a vicious backswing at the Leader, however the Leader grabbed his blade, stopping him.

"That's horseshit..." Jeff borderline growled out. The Leader gave him an interested look.

"And why is that?"

"Tabuu didn't give you his wings, you scavenged them off his dead body. Stop acting like you're buddy buddy with him and stop acting like you're doing this for our health,"

"..." The Leader said nothing to this as Jeff glared daggers at him. The others looked in confusion at Jeff's actions. They already knew that something has been riling him up recently, but they had no idea the Leader was the reason why. Finally, the Leader placed a hand on Jeff's shoulder.

"...Please. Do this task for me. After that, I'll tell you everything you need to know," The Leader solemnly asked. Jeff's face didn't falter at all. It was only when he scanned the crowd and saw Dave's worried look did he finally sigh and sheathed his weapon. He roughly shook off the Leader's hand off him before he leaned in dangerously.

"You better keep your fucking word, because there are two options. Either I get some answers, or I'll do everything in my power to take. you. down." Jeff harshly whispered to his "superior" before he gruffly walked past him towards the ship. The Leader breathed in deeply before he sighed, eying the rest of the Primids. Noting that the moment was ruined beyond repair, he simply crossed his arms and nodded to the others, getting salutes in response before he disappeared into the portal. Once it disappeared, the others shared looks before Duncan walked inside.

"What are you guys doing? Let's go! We're on a tight schedule!" He yelled out causing them to start moving. When Dave got close by, Duncan first swallowed heavily before he grabbed Dave's sleeve, yelping when Dave flared up on reflex. When he realized it was Duncan that had grabbed him, he cooled down instantly and apologized.

"I'm so sorry, Duncan!" Dave said, making sure he didn't burn him. Duncan lightly brushed him off.

"It's fine. You're at least the one Fire Primid I don't hate so it's cool," Duncan started, giving him a light smile before it dropped.

"So what's up?"

"That's what I was going to ask you. What's going on with Jeff? He walked past me and boarded the ship,"

"...And?"

"Usually, you and Jeff are the last ones on board. Jeff because he's asleep all the time and you because you're the one that has to get him. Is everything ok with him?"

"Duncan..." Dave started, before he sighed heavily, placing a gloved hand over his red eyes before he continued, "I have no idea. I barely recognize him anymore..."

"Hey, hey. Calm down, kid. Maybe everything will be better after this mission," Duncan offered. Dave slid his hand down enough so he could peek at him.

"I hope so. I never thought I say this, but Jeff was easier to deal with when he was sleeping the whole time..." Dave muttered, removing his hand and joining the crowd of Primids. Duncan frowned before he followed after him, boarding the ship as well.

Subspace Halberd- Near Mount Icy

The trip to the mountain was quiet as the sight of Tabuu's wings as well as Jeff's reaction caused everyone to be silent in their own thoughts. Speaking of Jeff, he was currently resting against the wall, looking disdainfully outside the window. From here, the mountain was visible. Dark storm clouds covered the top half of the mountain, showing the sheer size of it. On top of that mountain laid a chance for him to finally get some answers. Jeff clenched his fist in anticipation as the intercom sparked to life with a loud crackle.

"Everyone get ready to land. Rendezvous with Lieutenant Johnson's team for further orders," Duncan commanded, followed by the bay doors opening. Almost everyone turned into Shadow Bugs, causing the dark bugs to mix with the pure white snow that was slowly falling. Dave appeared next to Jeff, nudging him. Jeff looked at him before he nodded, detaching himself from the wall and producing a card from his scarf.

"Ready?" Jeff asked Dave, walking to the open door with Dave close behind.

"Yeah. Don't worry. We'll get this done so you can get your answers!" Dave answered, eagerly adding that last part. Jeff looked at him for a while before he snorted in amusement.

"Yeah," He said, flicking his wrist, which sent the card darting towards the ground. He then placed a hand on Dave's shoulder before he paid attention to where his card was.

Mount Icy- Base

While Mount Icy was known for its heavy snowfall and various icy areas, the base of the mountain was probably the most tame area of the mountain, being covered in a light dusting of snow. Johnson, who was watching as various Giant Primids walked up the mountain path, carrying various creatures, noticed the Shadow Bugs falling. He looked up before he heard a card impale a small patch of ice next to him. He stepped to the side as Jeff and Dave Brinked in front of him.

"Private Dave and Major Jeff reporting for duty, Sir!" Dave announced, causing Jeff to place a hand on his head.

"What's up, Johnson?" Jeff greeted.

"The usual," Johnson answered, causing Dave to sweatdrop. Sometimes he thought he was the only one taking this seriously...

"Sounds about right. What do you got for us?"

"I've went ahead and got a path laid out for you, courtesy of Prime," Johnson said, handing him a watch. Jeff snapped the watch on, instantly getting greeted by a holographic display of the mountain. A path was highlighted for them and it even showed their current position. Jeff dismissed the hologram before he nodded. He nudged Dave before he started up the path, making sure his scarf was on tight. Dave was right behind him, flaring up slightly so the two of them wouldn't freeze.

Just as they started up the mountain, a brief flash of light appeared, catching everyone off guard. Standing a far distance away were the heroes, alongside Mario and Red. Johnson bristled before he started barking orders, taking off behind Jeff and Dave. A good chunk of the Primids immediately started to attack the heroes. Johnson order a good bit to run ahead of them before he ushered Dave over.

"Help me block the path real quick!" Johnson asked, unleashing a stream of fire from his free hand. Dave nodded before he inhaled deeply before unleashing a huge blast of fire that caused a large amount of water to start flowing down. Jeff whipped out a card with a diamond suit on it before he flicked it above the water.

"Gambling Arts: Diamond Dust," Jeff said, causing the card to hover over the water, spinning rapidly. It then shot a bunch of ice shaped like diamonds at the water, freezing it instantly. The two Fire Primids looked at Jeff, who recalled his card and kept walking.

"...did you know he could do that?" Dave asked, never actually seeing Jeff fight before. Johnson shook his head.

"Kinda? I've seen him Brink before but I didn't know his cards could do different things," He answered. Dave nodded as the 3 of them continued up the path.

Mount Icy- Mountain Pass A (Music Playing: Singing Mountain (Chrono Resurrection/Mathew Valente Remake) Extended)

Jeff, Dave and Johnson continued up the mountain path, the snow steadily coming down. They passed a few Giant Primids, who were setting up various creatures for the heroes right behind them. One came up to Johnson and crouched so he didn't have to look up that much.

"Lieutenant Johnson, Major Jeff, Private Dave," The Primid greeted. Jeff and Johnson nodded while Dave saluted.

"What's wrong, Lester?" Johnson asked as they kept walking. Lester stood up and stomped next to them.

"We've had some issues with the wildlife here. Further up the mountain, we've been getting reports of attacks from them," Lester informed them.

"What kind of wildlife?" Dave curiously asked.

"Weird ball like creatures that throw ice blocks, pterodactyls that have been throwing our smaller troop off the mountain, polar bears with sunglasses that cause the ground to break apart from under us, ...And that's all we've gotten so far. Just be careful going up,"

"Noted. Thanks, Lester," Jeff thanked, eying a Giant Primid struggling to place what seemed to be a turret with a skull on the front in place.

"Sure thing... Mickey, you gotta fli- ugh, nevermind, I got it!" Lester said, noticing the same Giant Primid and stomping over to help him. The three shared looks before they continued up the mountain, gazing at the barren trees and bits of rocks jetting out of the snow. About 10 minutes in their walk, Jeff raised an arm, stopping his companions as he felt movement nearby. He squinted his eyes at what seemed to be a snowball moving. When his eyes finally adjusted, he found that it wasn't a snowball, but rather a creature with pure white fur. His red nose and eyes were the only visible things on him. When it noticed him, it snorted in aggression before he quickly created a giant ice block and kicked it down towards the group.

"Guys, move!" Jeff commanded, flicking a card quickly and Brinking to it, dodging the block. Johnson jumped before he caused a jet of flames to erupt from his feet, shoving him out the way while Dave just threw himself into a snow bank. The mini-yeti snickered before it bellowed, causing the snow behind it to rumble as 5 more appeared from the snow banks behind it. Jeff placed a hand on his sword hilt before rumbling was heard behind them. 5 more appeared behind them with Dave being launched from the snow bank he was in. The three of them regrouped as they started making smaller balls of ice.

"These must be the round creatures Lest brought up," Johnson said, unholstering his pistol. Jeff nodded, unsheathing his sword. Dave cracked his knuckles before he ignited his hands. The three of them nodded before the yetis let loose with their attacks. Jeff quickly flicked three cards at the closet yetis while Dave slammed his fist on the ground, causing a dome of fire to surround them, melting the ice before it hit them. Jeff then Brinked to one card, kicking the yeti in the face before Brinking to the next one, cleaving through him with his sword. The next marked one countered by kicking up the snow in front of him, instantly turning it into ice shards, but Jeff Brinked behind him, taking him out with a swift backswing seconds after. A yeti almost ambushed him with his foot covered in ice but Johnson put him down with a well placed bullet. Dave slapped his hands together before he pulled them apart, a long blade of fire appearing in between his hands. He then clenched his left hand and raised his arm, slamming the blade down seconds after, sending a crescent wave of fire at 2, incinerating them. He got bonked in the face seconds after by an ice ball. Johnson flew toward his attacker, flipping and dropkicking him, sending him flying. Still on the ground, he quickly shot him twice before he phased through an ice block by turning into fire briefly. The remaining three sweat dropped before they worked together to make a golem of ice. They then sent the golem after them while they ran away. However, it was made of ice so Johnson and Dave simply shot a strong stream of fire at it, melting it almost instantly. Jeff eyed the escaping 3 and pulled out a card with a heart on it. He shifted his hand slightly, revealing that he actually produced 3 of them before he flicked them at the 3, nailing them in the back.

"Gambling Art: Heartburn," Jeff said, causing the cards to suddenly explode in large funnel of fire. It died down after a few seconds, however. With the minor nuisance dealt with, the three of them recollected themselves before continuing up the mountain, wary of anyone else. A few giant birds got brave but Dave was able to flambé them before they got close. As they made progress, the snow progressively got worse. Dave upped the flames radiating off of him while Jeff and Johnson simply scooted their scarfs up a bit more.

"Guess this is as far as the Subspace Army got," Dave mentioned, not seeing any extra footsteps. The other two looked as well.

"Oh. Well, guess we're in uncharted territory now. Hopefully the others can slow the heroes down enough for us to grab the Smashers," Johnson pondered. Jeff grunted in return.

"You feeling better, Jeff?" Dave suddenly asked. The Sword Primid gave him a sideways glance before he sighed.

"A tad bit. I'll feel better when I get some answers," He muttered. Johnson looked at the two in confusion.

"Answers for what?" He asked.

"The Leader, for starters. Like, where did he come from? How do we know we're not just being used? How did he get Tabuu's wings? I... Just don't trust the guy," Jeff rambled. Johnson thought about this before he saw Jeff's point. Their leader was rather secretive and he did come out of nowhere. The wing bit was a new one however.

"Are you sure it was Tabuu's?" Johnson cautiously asked. Jeff nodded without looking.

"Without a doubt," He instantly responded. Johnson decided to call it quits there but doubt begin to fester in his mind. The Leader was surely on their side... Right? His thoughts were interrupted when Dave pointed out a cave. Noting that the snow was picking up even more, they unanimously decided to take a detour in there to stave off the snow.

Mountain Pass A- Cave (Music Playing: Chrono Trigger- (Zeal Theme)- Corridor of Time (Hip Hop Remix))

The gang of Subspace members arrived within the cave, seeing that it went on deeper than they thought. Dave tapped his head, causing the top of it to ignite and illuminate the area. Johnson did the same, giving the group a solid amount of light. The cave had stalagmites that slowly dripped water on the group, the sound of droplets echoing throughout the cave. The cave even has a light coating of ice everywhere, giving it a slight blue hue that was enhanced by the fire wielders flickering flames. The group cautiously continued forward, stepping past patches of slick ice. The cave slowly started going up in elevation but they quickly got into fighting positions as many blocks of ice started to slide down towards them. The group yelled as they took cover behind some stalactites. Jeff tried to get a look at their attackers but Dave and Johnson's headlights didn't reach that far. Noticing that there were various stalactites scattered around, it gave them hiding spots from the ice blocks. It also made the ice blocks bounce around sporadically.

"We need to get closer! I can't Brink to places I can't see, nor do I know where to throw my cards!" Jeff said, dashing forward and putting his back against a stalactite, barely avoiding two rather large ice blocks. Dave scrambled to the left most one while Johnson moved to the right. They let a few more pass by before they advanced a bit more. Dave got walloped by two fast blocks, sending him back down the hill while Jeff and Johnson made more progress.

"Don't worry about me! Keep going!" Dave said, flaring up and freeing himself from the block that pinned him against a wall. They moved up once more, finally getting close enough for them to see their attackers. There were 6 more Yetis as well as a polar bear with pink trunks and sunglasses standing there as well. The polar bear stomped his feet hard, which made the entire cave rumble. The shockwave caused the two of them to lose their footing and started sliding back down, but Jeff was able to flick a card quickly, embedding it in the ceiling over them. They were then assaulted by the blocks, sending them back down to Dave, who got tripped up by a low block. Once the two of them tumbled next to him, Jeff growled before he put a hand on his partners. Grunting in effort, he Brinked, bringing the two of them with him. They ended up above the group. Dave was all over them, coating his body in fire and colliding with the ground, blowing up and taking out 3 Yetis. Johnson, who had never gotten Brinked before, wasn't as ready as Dave and ended up face planting in front of the Polar Bear. The bear grabbed him by the back of his scarf and swung him around before hurling him at a wall, earning a pained grunt from him when he connected with it. He was quickly crushed by a block of ice seconds after. Jeff launched a swing at a nearby yeti, taking it out before he was forced to weave away from another ice block. The polar bear threw a meaty claw swipe at Jeff but he was able to move away from the attack, sliding away once he stepped on a slick patch of ice. Jeff planted his blade in the ground before he flung himself around the stuck blade to redirect himself toward the bear, feet first. He planted his right foot into the bear's stomach, but he got no reaction from him.

"Well, fu-" Jeff got out before the bear grabbed him by the face, squeezing seconds after. Jeff, tired from Brinking with two people, could only grab the bear's hand in an effort to relieve the pressure on his head. Fortunately, Dave came to his rescue and fired a gout of flames at his face, making him release Jeff, who landed with a pained thud. Dave made a few darts of fire and hurled them at the bear but a Yeti came to his aid and caused an ice block to block it. He then booted the block towards them. The block collided with Dave and Jeff, smooshing them against a wall, knocking a few Shadow Bugs from them.

"Blarg!" The two of them yelled out, crying out in pain again as the bear shoulder charged the block, crushing them again and causing them to lose more bugs. A small circle of fire appeared under him seconds after. Before he could questioned it, a snap echoed, causing the ring to erupt in a pillar of flame, defeating the bear as well as melting the ice block. Johnson them unleashed a hellfire of bullets, taking out the remainder of the Yetis. Once the last one went down, Johnson sighed as he moved to the other two, who were still on the ground.

"You guys ok?" Johnson asked. The other two grunted in return, their Shadow Bugs remerging with them.

"Kinda... Good thing I don't have bones..." Jeff muttered, getting up and placing his hands on his knees. Dave, who was flat on his back, simply raised his hands, flashing him a thumbs up. From his hunched position, Jeff messed with his watch, bringing up the hologram. Currently, they were a little under 1/4th of the way up. The path was illuminated by a yellow glow but a loading circle appeared before the map zoomed into their location, giving them another path they could take through the mountain.

"Huh. Seems like this mountain has a bunch of caves and stuff that lead further up to the summit," Johnson said, eyeing the map.

"You think that's where these things are coming from?"

"Most likely,"

"Well, it's either that or walking though the snow the entire time,"

"I don't mind fighting. Gives me a chance to warm up... Uh, no pun intended. Also, I can watch you fight more," Dave offered, sitting up and readjusting his hat. Jeff snorted at that last reason before he stood up. Dave also got up and they continued through the cave. The steady incline gave them comfort that they were making progress. After a few bends and turns,(along with Dave tripping on one occasion) they reached a steep hill that was too steep to walk up. At random intervals were platforms that they could leap on. Learning from last time, the group instantly got ready for a fight. A few seconds later, the sound of ice and stomping was heard, but curiously, there was a buzzing noise as well.

"Get ready..." Jeff told everyone before he leaped up to a platform, cleaving a block in half seconds after. Dave and Johnson followed his lead, jumping onto another platform. The two fire Primids fired a blast of flames at the approaching ice before Johnson took flight towards the top, barrel rolling and shooting any rouge blocks that got near. He also gave Jeff enough sight in order to pull out three cards and flicking them forward. The first one latched onto the wall above a platform while the second one curved and landed on Johnson's foot. The third one went past him. Jeff Brinked to the card on Johnson's foot, grabbing him by the ankle once he appeared. Johnson swerved a bit from the unexpected weight but he kept his composure and kept flying.

"You gotta start warning me with this Brinking!" Johnson said, extending his free hand down and grabbing Jeff's hand. Jeff sweatdropped in response.

"Sorry. Not used to working with anyone," Jeff apologized. Johnson swung him towards a block, which he sliced in half before Johnson fired a barrage at the Polar Bear once he was in sight.

"Dave, grab that card I left on the platform ahead of you!" Jeff shouted back to Dave, allowing Johnson to hurl him at a Yeti. He impaled it on top of his head before ravaging the nearby two with a slash. Dave arrived at the platform and yanked out the card.

"Got it!" He shouted, causing Jeff to yell "Brink!" Once he said that, Dave suddenly appeared at Jeff's 3rd card, which was currently floating down towards a yeti. He appeared above the yeti, so he decided to stomp down hard on him before exhaling a cone of fire onto two more yetis. One ambushed him with an icy foot but he rolled with the hit and nailed him with a quick fire dart. Johnson landed next to him just as the buzzing sound got louder. The two of them looked to see a giant Bumblebee glaring at them, his stinger glistening from their light. Johnson could see a hint of poison on the tip.

"Careful of that stinger!" Johnson commanded, launching a barrage of pistol shots at it, only to hit air as it darted away from it before dive bombing towards them. The two of them yelled before they avoided the attack barely. Jeff heard them yell and prepared to flick a card, but the polar bear appeared in front of him and whacked him in the face, sending him sliding on his back until he hit his head against a wall, dazing him slightly. He produced another card and flicked it low towards the ground. The card skimmed the ground before it bounced up, spinning quickly in front of the bear. He Brinked to it, stealing the momentum from the card and kicking the polar bear in the jaw, knocking him back. Jeff then cocked his arm back and hurled his sword at the bear. The makeshift energy saw buzzed along the ground, colliding with the polar bear. It grinded against him for a bit before Jeff Brinked to his sword, dashing through the bear seconds after.

"Gambling Arts: Texas Hold'em!" Jeff yelled, releasing 5 cards at the bumblebee, who was still terrorizing the Fire Primids. The five cards spun around the Bumblebee before they latched on to him, stopping his movements. The two Fire Primids took advantage of this by roaring, releasing a huge burst of flames from their mouths, incinerating the airborne attacker. The three of them caught their breaths as they looked around for more enemies. To their satisfaction, they were in the clear. Sharing a sigh of relief, they sat down, getting their energy back.

"Didn't think there would be this much opposition..." Jeff said, reshuffling his cards. He placed them back within his scarf after a moment.

"So, Jeff? How exactly did you get these powers?" Dave decided to ask. Jeff looked up before he sat back slightly.

"That would be thanks to Tabuu. He gave me a bit of his teleportation magic and he made my natural luck into a power I could utilize," Jeff told him, messing around with a card.

"Wait, really? Why?"

"...I was suppose to be his bodyguard, just in case anything happened,"

"Huh?! Really?!" Dave exclaimed, causing Jeff to nod. Johnson snorted.

"I always wondered why Tabuu kept you close by back then," He mentioned. Dave was lost on the entire thing.

"So... You mean to tell me you were the bodyguard of Tabuu? The Tabuu?!" Dave repeated.

"Yes, Dave... Now can we move past that?"

"Sorry, but... Why did you never tell me?"

"...well, look at what a good job I did. He's dead..." Jeff muttered.

"...oh,"

"Yeah. My entire purpose was to keep Tabuu safe. When he died... I... Just lost all motivation to do anything else..."

"Hence the copious amounts of sleep you did?" Dave guessed. Jeff shrugged in response.

"Possibly. All I know is that I feel... Empty without him here. However, hearing how the Leader speaks of him and the fact that he has his wings..." Jeff continued, clenching his fist. He sighed once more, relaxing his hand.

"And the Leader promised you answers after this mission?"

"I'm not an idiot. He's not going to give me shit. But I'm not strong enough to stop him nor do I have enough dirt on him to expose him," He explained, rubbing his brow.

"Let's say you're right. Why tell us this? Aren't you afraid of us blabbing this to the Leader?" Johnson mentioned. Jeff removed his hand enough to look at him.

"No, because I trust Dave with my life and I know you're not an idiot," He simply said. The two of them shared looks before Jeff stood up.

"Look, I'm not going to pretend I have an idea of what's going on or how I'm going to stop him but I just need you guys to be careful around him," He told them, walking up the path again. The two flame wielders shared looks before they got up and followed the ex-bodyguard, thoughts running rampant in their minds.

Mountain Pass A- Outside (Approximately 1/4th of the way up) (Music Playing: Singing Mountain (Chrono Resurrection/Mathew Valente Remake) Extended)

The group of Sub-Species exited the cave, recoiling from the snowfall that increased since they were gone. Dave flared up again while Johnson and Jeff fixed their scarfs. They started walking again, holding their arms over their eyes.

"Jesus, this snowfall is not making this easy!" Dave complained. The other two stayed quiet but they didn't completely deem him wrong. The snow was just enough to limit their visibility but not enough to fully blind them. They continued to trudge alongside the mountain side, slowly moving so they didn't fall off the side.

"How much further are we from the top!?" Johnson yelled to Jeff. He pulled his hand into his jacket and looked at the watch from inside. From what it looked like, they were just passing the 1/4th mark.

"1/4th of the way there!" He yelled back. Dave and Johnson groaned in response.

"Johnson, can't you just fly to the top?!" Dave asked.

"No! All this wind and snow messes with my flight! I'm certain Jeff can't Brink there as well!"

"Nope! I gotta see what I'm Brinking to! The bigger the object, the more energy I use up so I use these cards so I don't burn through my energy too quick!"

"Ugh! This blows!"

"Yeah!" "You aren't wrong..." The two of them responded. After 20 minutes of suffering, the snow died down enough that they could see better. They shook off the excess amount of snow before they eyed their location. They were still on the mountainside, the ground being far away on their right side. The steep mountainside greeted them on the left and in front of them was a slightly untrustworthy pathway that kept going up. Sighing, they kept going, hearing squawking in the distance.

"Must be those birds that were dropping troops off the side," Johnson put together. It was then that they heard a lot of commotion coming from in front of them. Picking up the pace, they trudged up the path, ending up on a flat landing. In sight were a few Primids defending themselves from some orange birds with pure white eyes. Occasionally, a bird would swoop down and snag a Primid before hurling him off the mountain, their screams slowly becoming farther and farther until disappearing.

"...I hope they remembered that they can turn back into Shadow Bugs before they actually hit the ground..." Dave muttered, the other two sweatdropping in response. Before any of their other comrades got thrown off the mountain, Johnson let out a few warning shots, causing the birds to scatter. The remaining troop, which were 2 Metal Primids, a Sword Primid and a Boom Primid, looked over and waved.

"Guys! Thank the Leader you're here!" The Sword Primid thanked. Jeff bristled in response, but he didn't noticed.

"How did you guys get here so fast?" Johnson asked.

"We kinda just hid behind Stock and Gus the entire time," The Boom Primid admitted.

"Yeah, being made of Metal has it's perks sometimes. Don't have to worry about snow blocking our vision or birds taking us away," Gus said.

"Too bad about the others however. We didn't have any Scope Primids with us so we didn't have many options against them," Stock added on.

"Are you guys the only ones here?" Dave asked.

"In general? No. Tusk and his group were ahead of us before we got attacked. Zack and his group was supposedly ahead of them," The Sword Primid answered.

"Wasn't Doug's group there as well, Hugh?" The Boom Primid asked. Hugh placed a hand on his chin.

"Why would I know, Tucker?" Hugh responded with an exasperated tone. Jeff snapped his fingers, getting them to focus.

"Focus. We have no idea how far or behind the others are. Will you guys be ok here? Can you stall just in case?"

"I mean, yeah. Not sure how much help we'll be with those birds assaulting us," Gus said.

"We can take out those birds. Just get yourselves in a good spot to hold out until then. If not, then just regroup at the ship," Johnson commanded. They saluted in response.

"Yes, sir!" The four of them yelled, moving under a small ledge. Dave, Jeff and Johnson nodded as they continued up the path, eying the birds that were stalking them from above. Johnson kept his pistol out just in case while Dave sent them dirty glares. After about 5 minutes, they were ambushed by more Yetis. Once they attacked, the birds decided to take advantage of them and attack as well.

"I'm tired of these yetis!" Dave said, cannonballing forward and exploding, taking out 3 yetis. He was bonked by a block moments after before a fast one clipped his legs from under him, causing him to face plant. Johnson shot 2 of them before he ducked and avoided a swoop. He shot him moments after before a yeti tackled him, sending them both off the side. Johnson's feet jets saved him, however. Jeff put a card on the ground before he flicked 5 cards at the birds above. He Brinked to the first one, stabbing a bird in the wing before he Brinked to another one, bonking him in the face with the hilt of his sword. While Jeff took care of air support, Dave and Johnson cleaned up the ground force with a mixture of flames and bullets. They ran into a snag when Dave got knocked off the mountain by an ice block, but Johnson was quick to the draw and swooped down, catching them by his scarf. He didn't have a neck so Dave wasn't choking from the pressure around his neck area. Jeff just finished de-winging the last bird before he Brinked to the card he put on the ground earlier, taking a quick breather. Before they could say anything however, a loud cry of "BAAAAA!" rung out. The group looked up to see a large ram gunning towards them. Johnson popped a shot at him, but the bullet bounced off. Dave and Jeff launched their own attacks but they didn't work as well.

"IS HE INVINCIBLE!?" Dave yelled, looking for a hiding spot. The small path had no hiding spots and the ram was big enough to cover the entire path. Jeff quickly tossed a card in the air and grabbed the two.

"This is gonna suck... BRINK!" Jeff muttered before they disappeared, appearing in the air just as the ram past them. The group landed on the ground, Jeff breathing heavily.

"Jeff!" Dave worriedly asked, Jeff waving him off in return.

"I'm fine. All that Brinking kinda drained me. Bringing you guys along just sorta emptied me. Give me a second, I'll be ok," He explained, focused on breathing. As he said, after 30 seconds, he was better.

"You weren't kidding. That didn't take long at all,"

"I got used to burning myself out with this. Got good at getting my energy back,"

"Location?" Johnson interrupted the two. Jeff snorted as he pulled the map up.

"Uh... Almost half way, it looks like."

"Progress is progress, I suppose..."

"Yeah, but once we reach the halfway point," Jeff started, pointing at the dark storm clouds that loomed close by, "We'll be in deep shit, weather-wise,"

"More reason to pick up the pace," Dave said, already starting up the path again. This was foiled when another Ram appeared and collided with him, knocking him off the mountain. Jeff flicked a card at him and placed one on the ground afterwards. Once the card hit Dave, Jeff Brinked him back to the group.

"Maybe stay with the group?" Jeff slyly asked. Dave sweatdropped before he nodded, the group moving forward. The Ram was still there so the group made him charge before avoiding him. More buzzing was heard up ahead, signaling Bumblebees. Everyone prepared themselves as 5 Bumblebees jetted from below, attempting to ambush the 3 but Johnson was able to snap his fingers, causing a wall of fire to appear between them. Four of the Bees were able to stop in time, but the last one couldn't and ran into the wall, incinerating almost instantly. The other 4 circled above them dangerously before one darted towards Dave. He yelped as the stinger grazed him, ripping his outfit slightly as he passed. Johnson attempted to get revenge for him, but he missed the speedy target. He also got bonked by a fast moving bee as well, his goggles getting knocked off as well.

"My googles!" Johnson yelled, diving for them before he lost sight of them.

"Jeff! Wanna stop them again?!" Dave yelled, avoiding another potential impalement.

"I can only snag one at a time!" Jeff responded back, avoiding a close shave from a stinger. By now, Dave reclaimed his goggles but another bee attack knocked both him and his goggles into the snow. Frustration didn't begin to explain Johnson at the moment. His body flared up in response as he stood up.

"Get..." Johnson started, his body slowly glowing white. Jeff immediately recognized this attack and moved quickly, grabbing Johnson's goggles and Dave by the scarf before he Brinked behind a tall rock.

"Wait, what's going on?" Dave said, peeking past the rock, only to be yanked back into cover by Jeff.

"Stay here unless you want to be incinerated," He warned, seeing the light grow to blinding levels of white.

"...LOST!" Johnson roared, causing a humongous explosion that would have blown everyone off the mountain if they hadn't taken cover earlier. The heavy winds lasted for a good moment before it died down. Once he was sure, Jeff got up and peeked from their hiding spot. Laying there on the now barren rock was Johnson, his body slowing coming back together from the flames in the area. Dave peeked and saw Johnson, causing him to freak out and sprint over. Jeff stopped him however.

"Give him a moment to recollect himself,"

"So... what was that?"

"Supernova. A Fire Primid can use it's life to explode. Usually a last ditch effort since it completely wipes them from existence, but since Johnson here is a Blaze Primid, he has a bit more control of his power," Jeff explained as Johnson had finished reforming, groggily crawling to his feet.

"Forgot how painful that move was..." Johnson muttered, grabbing his head. He tapped his head a couple more times before Jeff held out his goggles. A sigh of relief escaped his throat as he reclaimed his goggles and placed them back over his head, deciding to slide them under his scarf for safe keeping.

"It's rare to see you lose your temper," Jeff teased. Johnson shot him an aggravated look before he continued forward, the others following after him.

"They're just really hard to hit," Johnson muttered, keeping watch for more hazards. Jeff snorted in amusement before he eyed the clouds, hearing the heavy winds they carried. He frowned in return. Just past those clouds would be a hellish trek through heavy snowfall, winds and whoever else. He hoped they would find a cave once more that could at least take them somewhat up the mountain. It was then that he remembered the map updating. He quickly pulled out the watch and ultimately, the map. He eyed their position, where the halfway mark was and where the nearest cave entrance was. To their luck, right as they got to the halfway point, a cave opening was seen. Jeff fist-pumped, gaining Dave's attention.

"What's up?" Dave asked, causing Johnson to peek behind him.

"According to Prime's map, there should be another cave opening just as we past those clouds," Jeff told him, disbanding the map. The others expressions brightened for a second before they picked up the pace, eager to get out the snow. The 20 minute journey to the clouds was uneventful for the most part with the only thing happening being another ambush that didn't last long. As they approached the clouds, talking was heard nearby. They rounded the corner to see a Giant Primid hunched over the edge with a Scope Primid keeping watch. When he saw Jeff and the others, he quickly jabbed the Giant Primid in the side with his elbow. The Giant Primid first looked at the Scope Primid before he followed his gaze, spotting the others. The Giant Primid had a different attire on which consisted of a black suit of armor. His fist had gauntlets on while his hat was replaced by a green helmet that only let one of his eyes be seen. At the mouth piece, a singular fang could be seen. The Juggernaut Primid stood up, easily dwarfing the others before he approached the others.

"Sir Johnson! Great to see you and the others safe!" The Juggernaut Primid exclaimed in a voice that didn't fit his look. The others nodded before shouting from below was heard.

"TUSK! WE STILL NEED HELP DOWN HERE!" A voice yelled from below, causing Tusk and the other to sweatdrop.

"What's going on, Tusk?" Johnson asked.

"Gyro and the others fell when the floor gave away! They're stuck on a ledge right now! Me and Rocket were able to move before that however but we have no way of reaching them from here!" Tusk rapidly got out. Jeff stepped forward and looked down. On a less than safe looking ledge was a Fire Primid, Metal Primid, Boom Primid and a Sword Primid. They all were pressed against the wall, doing their best to not breathe. The Metal Primid noticed the new face however.

"GOOD! WE GOT SOME BACKUP! GET US OUT OF HERE!" He yelled, getting bonked by the Sword Primid seconds after.

"Iron, you can't just tell at Jeff like that! He outranks you!" He irritably told him, causing him to sweatdrop.

"Oh... Right, thanks Saber. Uh, sorry Sir. Kinda in a bad spot right now because of Teriyaki's flames..." Iron blamed, causing the Fire Primid known as Teriyaki to snap his head in his direction.

"NO IT WASN'T! IT WAS IRON'S WEIGHT THAT DID IT!" He loudly defended, deafening Gyro the Boom Primid.

"TUSK IS RIGHT THERE!"

"CLAM IT, YOU TWO!" Tusk's voice boomed, causing the two Primids to go silent. He sighed before he turned to the others.

"I really hate to ask you this, Sir Johnson, but could you help us out?" He exasperatedly asked.

"Of course. Uh... Jeff, you think you can Brink down there and back that many times?"

"No can do. I can do maybe one trip with two people but any more than that and I might pass out," Jeff informed him.

"Why not just get the heaviest people then and have Johnson fly down there to get the rest?" Dave pondered. The two looked at each other before they nodded. Just then, they heard a loud crack. The group above looked down again and saw the cliff slowly cracking.

"Uh... on second thought, any more weight on that could cause the cliff to fall..." Tusk deadpanned.

"Any ideas, Rocket?"

"No, no idea. But we gotta do something soon!" The Scope Primid, Rocket exclaimed. Another loud crack caught their attention.

"Screw it! We gotta risk it!" Johnson yelled, jumping off the cliff. Jeff growled before he followed suit, setting a card down before he jumped. Johnson activated his jets just before he touched the ground.

"Not sure if I can carry two, but Saber and T, you're with me," Johnson commanded, waiting until the two grabbed his hands. Just then, Jeff landed, causing the ground to crack even more.

"Sorry, didn't have time for caution. Hold on you two," Jeff hastily said, snagging Iron and Saber by their shoulders, Brinking from the other's sights seconds after. Jeff and the others appeared back up seconds after, Jeff leaning over and breathing a bit heavy afterwards. Down below, Johnson had just activated his flame jets again and struggled to get altitude.

"Uh, Lieutenant? I don't mean to be this person, but could you get away from the ground faster?" Gyro timidly asked, watching as the cracks got even worse.

"I know, Gyro! I can barely fly with one extra person let alone two!" Johnson snapped back, a sweatdrop appearing on his head. An exclamation mark appeared over Dave's head afterwards.

"Wait, Jeff! I have an idea!" He mentioned.

"What is it?"

"Fire Primids can absorb fire and heat around us to give us a boost in fire power!"

"...An- Oh! Good idea, Dave," Jeff started, not getting his point at first. The gears clicked into place a second after as he produced a card with a heart on it. Just then, the ground made one more loud crack noise before the ground gave away, causing the three to start falling. Jeff quickly staggered to the end, throwing his card afterwards.

"Heads up, Johnson! Gambling Arts: Heartburn!" He warned, using the attack afterwards once the card got beside Johnson. Johnson saw the giant pillar of flames erupt from the card. Getting the idea instantly, he breathed in deeply, allowing the crackling flames to flow into him. This caused the jets on his feet to grow 3 times larger, causing the group to suddenly jet upwards, gaining a surprised yelp from the two passengers. The group flew above for a second before they crash landed in front of the large group, the jets on Johnson's feet sputtering out seconds after. The Blaze Primid sat up, spitting out a mouthful of snow before he looked at Jeff.

"That's a lot of fire in those cards of yours..." He mentioned, earing a sly grin from Dave. This was interrupted when Tusk scooped up the three and hugged them.

"Thank you guys!" He exclaimed, causing the three to sweatdrop and earned a few snickers from the others. He placed them down afterwards.

"No problem. Find a spot to stay and be ready to stall the heroes should they come by," Johnson commanded. The others nodded in response.

"After this, of course, Sir!" Tusk answered, ushering his squad back down the mountain to a safer location. Jeff snorted.

"I forgot how much of a teddy bear Tusk was," Dave muttered.

"Yeah. Crazy how he's the oldest Giant Primid here..."

"Original?"

"Yeah, actually. That's why he's the only Juggernaut. Speaking of originals, why didn't you cling on to Tusk?" Jeff asked, eyeing the storm clouds nearby.

"He's... A bit too big for my taste..."

"...Understandable,"

The path ahead became a narrow walkway with two deep ravines on the side. The group blanched at the sight as they started forward, careful not to make any hasty movements. Dave burned a bit less out of fear of disrupting the path in any way. One harrowing minute later, and the group reached the clouds. From where they were standing, they could feel the amount of wind up above and hear it howling violently. Visibility was next to none and they didn't even want to think about how cold it would be. Johnson put on his goggles, seeing that it would at least protect his eyes while Dave flared up once more.

"I'll keep a lookout for that cave, Jeff," Johnson told him before he started moving forward, tapping a button on the side of his goggles. From Dave's point of view, it was still pretty bad but certainly better than the other two. Jeff quickly placed a card on both Johnson and Dave before he grabbed the part of Johnson's scarf that dangled behind him. Dave did the same to Jeff's and they slowly started moving in the storm. Inside the cloud was torture. The snow upgraded to ice, which mercilessly pelted them while the winds blew snow and ice in their faces as well as pushing them back. Dave gritted his teeth as he willed himself to burn hotter while Jeff just narrowed his eyes, determined to see this through. Johnson kept a sharp eye out, doing his best to ignore the ice, wind and Jeff's unintentional tugs on his scarf. After a good 5 minutes of agony, Johnson spotted an opening in a wall. After closer inspection, he realized it was the cave. Moving as fast as he could at the moment, he briskly walked towards it, dragging Jeff and Dave with him.

Mountain Pass A- Caves (Music Playing: Chrono Trigger- (Zeal Theme)- Corridor of Time (Hip Hop Remix))

The group stumbled into the cave, shivering violently before Dave grunted, blasting everyone with a brief heatwave that warmed them back up.

"Dave, have I mention how much I enjoy your powers?" Jeff mentioned, enjoying the warmth. Dave sweatdropped.

"Kinda? You tend to mutter in your sleep..." He sheepishly answered, scratching his head. This caused Jeff to quickly shoot him a look while Johnson scoped the place. Like the last cave, darkness was the first thing that greeted them but the light coming from Dave fought it off enough to see somewhat ahead of them. Johnson set his head on fire again, which extended their sight. Once the two were done chatting, they joined Johnson. The cave slowly went upwards like the last one. They started walking up, keeping their eyes and ears alert for any strange noises or foes. It didn't take them long to pick up on distant grunting. Strange thing about it was that it sounded nothing like the Yeti's they've fought before. The group quickened their pace before they rounded a bend, seeing six Primids against a wall, frozen up to their necks. The normal Primid looked at the three before he sighed.

"Well, this is embarrassing..." He muttered.

"Zack, what happened here?" Dave asked as he and Johnson moved forward in order to defrost them. Zack snorted.

"Nothing, just hanging out," He answered. When Jeff's harden glare set on him, he sweatdropped and apologized before he said, "Beats me. We were moving through this dark cave when all of a sudden, a roar rung out and blew us into a wall. Next thing you know, something cold froze us here,"

"Just when we thought it couldn't get more dangerous..." Jeff deadpanned, thinking about if this was even worth the trouble. By now, the Fire Primids were able to free the rest of the troop which consisted of Zack, Scout the Sword Primid, Tungsten the Metal Primid, Cyrus and Delta the Boom Primids and finally Yue the Giant Primid. All six of them thanked the group.

"Thank Subspace... I was starting to lose feeling in my legs..." Yue muttered, stretching. Zack immediately rounded on him.

"And why couldn't you break the ice!?" He squawked, causing Yue to flinch.

"Hey, it was stronger than it looked!"

"Anyway... Thanks guys. We really appreciate it," Cyrus interrupted, ignoring the two in the background.

"Yeah. I think we'll stay near the cave entrance where there's some form of light and keep watch. Be careful going forward as that... Creature might still be lurking around in here..." Scout offered.

"Thanks guys. Stay safe, alright?" Johnson responded, earning salutes in return. The three then started back up the path, leaving the six there. Once they were out of earshot, Dave started talking.

"So that means Doug's group should be some where up ahead, right?" He started.

"Not in here, maybe. But yeah," Jeff answered.

"Guys, heads up," Johnson interrupted them, and for good reason too as 2 Polar Bears were standing in their way. Behind them were 6 yetis, ready to throw blocks at them.

"Well, that didn't take long..." Jeff deadpanned, readying a card. Dave cracked his knuckles while Johnson cocked his pistol. There was a moment of silence before the left most Polar Bear roared, causing the yetis to spring forward, launching ice attacks at the group. Dave pounded his fist together, causing a heat wave to melt the approaching attacks. He then charged forward, a bunch of fire appearing on his back.

"Bouncing Betty!" He exclaimed, tucking into a ball and landing on the ground in front of the Yetis. Once he landed, a swarm of fire darts shot off of him in every direction, pelting the Yetis and taking out 4 of them. The other two were weak enough for Johnson to take out with a well-placed shot between the eyes. He then ignited his free hand before sending a blast of fire at the right Polar Bear while Jeff flicked his card at the left one. The right one dodged the blast of fire before charging at the recovering Dave while the left one got ready to block the card approaching him. This ended up failing when Jeff Brinked in front of him and clobbered him with his sword. He was able to block still but the energy blade singed his arms, angering him and causing him to stomp hard, making a crack appear under Jeff. Yelling in surprise, he quickly flicked a card back, Brinking to it to avoid falling just as the crack filled up with ice. Jeff then charged at him, launching a sword attack at him. Learning from last time, he avoided the blade, lashing back with a wild claw attack. Jeff ducked under the swing, his hat getting knocked slightly ajar. He quickly fixed it before launching a card at the Bear, but before he could Brink to it, the Bear cleaved the card in half, nullifying it. Jeff sucked his teeth before he charged the bear again. Meanwhile, Dave had just backpedaled away from a claw attack, gunning forward afterwards with a blazing fist. It clocked him in his jaw, making him recoil. The Bear snarled before he lunged forward, taking a bite at him. Dave yelped before he avoided it barely, his hat taking the hit in his steed. Dave eyed the huge bite in his hat and frowned slightly. Johnson stopped the second bite attack by shooting the Bear in the mouth. Dave got revenge by pounding him in the face with his fist.

"Bite my hat, will you?" Dave muttered in spite, creating a knife out of flames in his hand. He then chucked it at the Bear, nailing him in the chest. He then whistled, causing the knife to explode.

"What do you call that one?" Johnson asked in amusement. Dave snorted.

"I don't name all of my moves. Kinda weird. Also, you're kinda just announcing to the enemy that you're doing moves," He explained, eyeing the downed Bear. Jeff, who had just landed after a close shave, sweatdropped in response.

"Names have power, Dave..." He defended, chucking two cards at the bear. One went straight for him while the other curved around him. Like last time, the bear got rid of the card in from of him but Jeff Brinked to the card behind the Polar Bear, taking him out with three precise cuts to his back. Dave shrugged, earning a sigh from Jeff as they continued through the cave. Glancing at the map, he saw that they were halfway to reaching the 3rd checkpoint. Sighing, he covered the watch before following his companions further up the cave, his thoughts wandering due to the silence. Exactly what should he do? Even if he gets the Smashers, he doubt the Leader would keep his promise... Wait, what was he talking about? Of course he wouldn't... The faint but still detectable hostility that flared up from the Leader earlier was more than enough proof. So... How would he ever take out the Leader? He was snapped out of his thoughts when he ran into Dave, who stopped due to a giant gap in front of them.

"You OK?" Dave asked. Jeff blinked a few times before he nodded, eyeing the gap.

"Yeah. Just thinking. When did this gap get here?" He asked. Dave shrugged.

"How would I know? Either way, I can't see the other side,"

"Here. I can go scout it out," Johnson offered, taking off and flying into the darkness. He flew a good distance before he ran into a wall, confusing him.

"Well, so much for that..." Dave muttered, leaning against the left most wall. The light from him didn't go that far, but Jeff noticed something on the left.

"Wait, are those platforms?" Jeff pointed out. Dave raised an eyebrow before he followed his gaze. He then asked Johnson to float over there, which he did. True to Jeff's word, there was a thin platform built into the wall. The two of them nodded before they leaped on to the platform, noting that it started to crack. Quickly looking around, Dave spotted another platform above the opening they just appeared from. Grabbing Jeff, he leaped towards the platform just as the previous one broke apart.

"To your right!" Johnson yelled, watching as the others followed his directions. He quickly scanned the area before he noticed the next one right across from them. He barked out the direction before he went scouting for the next one. This one took him a bit long but he was still able to find it just as the platform broke from under them. A quick Brink from Jeff saved them however. This went on three more times before Johnson noticed an opening that was a bit too far to leap. Johnson soared so that he was in the middle before he ushered for Dave to leap. Before he could question the order, Jeff booted him in the back while throwing a card at the opening, Brinking to it once it reached. Dave yelled in fear before Johnson snagged his hand and swung him towards the opening, launching him to the awaiting Jeff. Jeff grabbed him, stabilizing him while Johnson landed, breathing a bit hard.

"Thanks," Dave got out, a hand on his chest. Jeff questioned the motion, seeing as how they didn't have hearts but decided to let it go, opting to eye his watch. The vertical climb gave them a huge chunk of progress as they were just approaching the third checkpoint. He put the watch away, eying the two who were waiting for him.

"We're approaching the third checkpoint," He simply said, getting smiles in return. They then started walking with Dave and Johnson leading.

"Awesome! One more final push and we'll be out of here!" Dave cheered, his headlight flaring up slightly. The other two snorted in amusement before Johnson slowed down and ended up beside Jeff.

"So, any ideas yet?" Johnson lowly asked. Jeff's smirk slowly died down to a neutral look.

"No. No ideas at all, and I know for a fact that the Leader has something up his sleeve," Jeff bitterly muttered. Johnson frowned before he looked at Jeff's watch. After thinking for a moment, he slipped his goggles on and looked at Jeff's watch. He then started to swipe his hands around, causing Jeff's watch to spaz out for a second.

"There," Johnson said, gaining attention from the Sword Primid.

"What did you just do?"

"Made it so your watch can't be tracked. Also, linked it to my goggles so we can stay in touch,"

"But, why?"

"Look," Johnson started, giving Jeff a hard stare, "You're right. I'm not an idiot so I can tell when something is up. You've been acting irregular for a while now and it never started until the Leader got on you and Dave. So, leave. Find a way to stop him. I'll keep you updated on whatever I can without tipping anyone off,"

"..." Jeff stayed silent as he processed everything Johnson said. He was pretty much a dead man anyway, so he might as well make it hard for the Leader to get him. But where was safe even? The Leader possessed teleportation as well as ample magical abilities that he didn't fully know and he was certain he could track his unique energy to the ends of the earth. He was in deep thought before Dave's evaporated groan rung out, causing the two high rankers to look up and see the exit, snowfall greeting them.

"Here we go again..." Johnson muttered, putting on his goggles again. Jeff slightly sighed as the thoughts subsided slightly, dumbing down to a moderate headache. Where ever he went to, he would have to make sure the Leader had no ways of reaching him. He pulled out two cards, an Ace and a Joker card. Turning them over in his hand, he wondered when he would use these cards again. Sighing, he carefully placed them back in his scarf before he followed then others out the cave exit.

Mountain Pass A- Outside (Approximately 3/4ths of the way) (Music Playing: Singing Mountain (Chrono Resurrection/Mathew Valente Remake) Extended)

The three Sub-Beings were once again, outside in the snow that howled against them. On the plus side, they seemed to pass by the worst of it but it was still pretty strong where they were so they had to slow down, just in case. They trekked through the harsh weather for a good 20 minutes, noting the increased incline before they ended up on a flat plateau that stretched a good distance in both length and width. Johnson glanced at his watch, seeing that they were about another 30 minutes away from the summit. He covered the watch back up before he noticed some sounds. From what it sounded like, there was fighting up ahead. He informed the other two before he picked up the pace, hearing them more clearly. Eventually, he saw a group of 6 Primids attacking a black furred Polar Bear with red shorts and sunglasses. The two Sword Primids both went to attack the bear, but a roar sent them flying. A couple of bullets nailed him in the chest, courtesy of a Scope Primid while the Metal and Giant Primid charged at him, roaring powerful. A normal Primid was unconscious next to the Scope Primid The Polar Bear readied himself before he clobbered the Giant Primid in the jaw with a paw. He then jumped high in the air before he crashed down on top of the Metal Primid, earning a loud cry from him. The Scope Primid sweat dropped before he noticed the approaching Primids. Waving them over, he popped a few shots at the Bear, catching him again but not getting much reaction from him.

"Guys! Glad you're here! The entrance to the summit is right up that pathway but this bear came out of nowhere and is preventing us from getting up there!" The Scope Primid explained, taking a moment to fire again.

"How long have you guys been fighting?" Dave asked, watching as the Polar Bear slammed his fist into the ground, causing a crack to move towards one of the Sword Primids. Once it reached him, an ice pillar jet out and uppercutted him. He ended up landing in front of the group.

"15 minutes. Nothing seems to phase him!"

"We'll take it from here, Doug! Get the others to a safe spot and hide!" Johnson commanded, taking out his pistol. Doug nodded in response.

"Of course, Lieutenant! Roger, Steel, Westley, Kel, Fencer, we're leaving!" Doug yelled out. The others heard the command and started staggering towards them but the Bear wasn't allowing anyone to escape and slammed the ground again, causing a plethora of ice to pop up in front of him. He then punched it causing shards of ice to fly towards the group. Dave slid in front of everyone and roared, belting out a plume of fire that melted most of it. One got past his attack however and nailed him in the shoulder, making him grunt in pain as a few Shadow Bugs fell off of him.

"Give him hell, guys!" The Giant Primid, Westley cheered, Steel dangling under his arm. They nodded as the Polar Bear eyed the new threat. Johnson shuffled his cards while Dave cracked his knuckles.

"We're so close to finishing and I'll be dammed if a overstuffed toy stops us!" Jeff dangerously announced, causing the Polar Bear to move his sunglasses down a bit to glare at him.

"Let's get him, guys!" Dave cheered, charging at the bear with Johnson following him carefully behind. Jeff stayed behind, opting to figuring out his attacks first. Once Dave got close enough, he socked the Polar Bear in the side. Besides a twitch, he didn't really react. Johnson followed up with a few rounds to the face but the same thing happened. The Polar Bear quickly grabbed Dice by the face before he hurled him at Johnson. Johnson jumped and flew over him, spinning around before he kicked the Polar Bear in the face. The kick itself didn't do damage, but the flames from his foot caused him to flinch a bit more than before. Johnson retreated before the bear could grab him but he did send a barrage of ice blades at him. While Johnson avoided the razor hail, Jeff produced a heart card.

"Gambling Arts: Heartburn!" Dave announced, hurling a card at the Polar Bear, engulfing him in a tornado of flames. Once they died down, the Polar Bear was still standing there, a bit burned but still strong. Jeff raised an eyebrow before he unsheathed his sword and darted towards the Polar Bear. The Polar Bear identified Jeff as the greater threat so he punched the ground twice, sending two cracks darting towards him. Jeff produced a card and flicked it forward, Brinking to it before the pillars erupted. He appeared in front of the bear and launched an attack aimed at his neck. The Polar Bear avoided it before he roared, blowing Jeff away. But he was able to throw a card at the Polar Bear before he got too far away. On the card was a club.

"Alright wise guy, what about this? Gambling Arts: Conductive Club!" Jeff yelled, causing an enormous bolt of lightning to strike the Polar Bear. This attack was enough to stagger him so Dave tucked into a ball and started spinning rapidly, becoming a fireball. Johnson appeared behind him and gave him a kick, sending him towards the Polar Bear. At the same time, Johnson punched the ground, causing a faint ring of fire to appear around the Polar Bear. Once Dave got close, Johnson snapped his fingers, causing the ring to erupt in a pillar of fire. When Dave collided with the pillar, it caused an explosion to happen, sending Dave flying. He landed on his feet before he fell over from the extra momentum he had.

"No way he's done from that," Johnson muttered, cocking his pistol and aiming at the cloud. He fired a few testing shots, hearing a ricocheting sound. Once the dust cleared, they saw the Polar Bear standing there, a thick amount of ice encasing his entire body.

"Seriously? He was already hard to damage as it was!" Dave exclaimed. The Polar Bear roared loudly, causing the group to cover their faces from the pressure. He then growled at them, signaling that the battle had just begin.

Keeper of Mount Icy: Frostbyte (Music Playing: Tuba Archmage Boss Theme)

Frostbyte made the first move by extending his arm and releasing blades of ice at the three. Dave went to melt them again but Frostbyte stomped the ground, causing a pillar to jet from under Dave, knocking him in the air. Jeff quickly Brinked out the way while Johnson turned into pure fire, allowing the attack to pass through him. He quickly put his goggles on and started hacking his own gun, causing the glow on it to increase. While he did that, Jeff produced another card from his scarf. This one had a question mark on it.

"I need a good one here. Impact Roulette!" He muttered before he launched the card at Frostbyte. Once the card connected, a spinner appeared over his head. After a few seconds, it stopped on 4, which caused Frostbyte to glow a dim red. He debated on doing it again, but decided against it and went after him with his sword. As he charged, he saw three big bullets wizz past him, colliding with Frostbyte's armor. The impact alone almost knocked him over. While he was distracted, Jeff pulled another card of hearts out and slid it over his blade briefly, causing it to glow red. He then slammed his blade against the ice armor, causing it to melt and crack slightly. Frostbyte swatted Jeff away before sending a wave of jagged ice at him. He quickly rolled to his feet and leaped away from the attack while Johnson unleashed a few more bullets, hitting the cracked part of his armor. He finally noticed Johnson and gunned towards him. Dave stepped in his way and slapped his hands together, creating a longsword out of flames. He then slashed at the approaching Polar Bear. Frostbyte coated his mouth with frost before he bit down heavily on Dave's sword, dispersing it. Before Dave could comment, he was trampled by him, causing him to grunt and yelp in pain.

"Finally attacking me, huh?" Johnson asked, activating his flame jets. He bolted away from the rampaging bear while simultaneously pelting him with shots. After the 5th shot, Frostbyte slammed a fist in the ground, causing a wall of ice to appear behind Johnson. He crashed into it, getting blown through the wall by Frostbyte's burly body. Johnson yelled in pain as Shadow Bugs leaked from him. Frostbyte went to bite at him, which Johnson tried to counter by turning into fire, but Frostbyte's frost infused mouth canceled his abilities. Johnson's eyes got wide as the teeth latched on to where his neck would be.

"Johnson!" Dave yelled, flaring up and running to his rescue. Jeff hissed in response to Johnson's injury while he readied another Impact Roulette. He then launched the card and bonked Frostbyte in the nose, distracting him enough to let Johnson turn his head so his eyes were visible. He then caused a bright light to flash from his eyes, causing Frostbyte to be blinded. Clutching his neck, he staggered away as Dave jumped onto the Polar Bear's back, socking him in the back of the head repeatedly. By now, the spinner over Frostbyte's head stopped, landing on a six. Jeff smirked as a red X slowly rotated around Frostbyte before it slammed on him, causing his ice armor to melt away.

"Hell yeah! Got a Silent Six! He's unarmored for 2 minutes!" Jeff informed them, Brinking to Frostbyte and cutting him in the face with his blade. Dave pounded him in the skull five times before Frostbyte roared loudly, blasting them away.

"Silent Six? What is that?" Johnson said, tending to his wound and focusing on reabsorbing his lost Shadow Bugs.

"Makes it so a target can't use their abilities," Jeff simply said, Brinking to him and attacking him again with another sword swipe. Frostbyte tanked the hit and returned his own in the form of a solid fist to Jeff's face. He eyed the approaching Dave and fell backwards, squishing Dave with a surprised "Mmph!" before he rolled over and charged at Johnson again.

"BACK OFF!" Johnson yelled, brandishing his gun and firing at him. Frostbyte avoided the blasts and pounded him in the chest, causing him to spit out more Shadow Bugs.

"Dave, we gotta help Johnson! He's not going to keep his form for much longer if he keeps taking hits like this!" Jeff informed him, launching his blade like a sawblade. The blade buzzed along the ground and collided with Frostbyte, knocking him away from the wounded Johnson. Jeff used his Brink ability to recall the blade seconds after.

"Thanks..." He got out, crawling away. By now, he was barely holding it together so Jeff stood in front of him, ready to defend him from any more attacks while he regenerated. Dave pulled himself out of the snow before he created three daggers and tossed them at the still downed Frostbyte. They collided with his side and with a sharp sounding whistle, they exploded. Frostbyte roared in pain as his armor reformed. Jeff sucked his teeth in response.

"Two minutes already?" He muttered, readying another card. This one had a spade on it. Frostbyte got up, growling dangerously before he roared again, blowing a huge amount of frost at the three.

"Gambling Arts: Sturdy Spade!" Jeff yelled, hurling the card at the ground in front of him. Once the card landed, a giant spade rose from it, blocking the frost breath attack. Dave shot from behind the spade, throwing fire darts at Frostbyte, but they clinked off his armor harmlessly.

"Not sure why I thought that would work," Dave said as he put his fist together in front of him, aiming them at their foe. He then charged up power before unleashing a spiraling blast of fire at him. The blast was countered by a breath of frost, causing the area to get bombarded by steam. Dave looked around in confusion before a meaty claw walloped him upside the head, sending him bouncing along the ground before he ended up next to Johnson. A roar rung out before Frostbyte leaped towards them, blasting the steam away. The two Fire Primids grabbed each other and screamed loudly causing Jeff to sigh and flick a card somewhere before he grabbed the two and Brinked just as Frostbyte landed. The group appeared a good distance away with Jeff taking a moment to get his breath back.

"This bear is annoying me..." Jeff grunted out, watching as Frostbyte rolled his shoulder before sending more shards at the group. Dave went to melt them again, but as he inhaled, Jeff attached a card to him while throwing another one at Frostbyte. Once it got close enough, he Brinked him while throwing another Study Spade in front of him and blocking the attack. Dave unleashed a point-blank breath of fire on Frostbyte. Dave then backed up as a claw jet out from the snow, almost taking his head off when Frostbyte made his claws longer with ice.

"Jeff, can you get rid of his armor again!?" Dave asked, avoiding another close shave. Jeff pulled another question mark card out, looking at Frostbyte.

"No, I can't roll the same number back to back!" Jeff told him, using another Impact Roulette. The number this time was a one, which caused Jeff's face to fall as an energy bolt shot out from Frostbyte and collided with Jeff, knocking a good bit of Shadow Bugs out of him. By now, Johnson recovered from his wounds and checked on Jeff, who had a small hole in him.

"Sub-Space! Are you ok!? What even was that!?" Johnson asked, looking Jeff over. Jeff groaned as he sat up.

"Rolled an Overwhelming One so I took recoil damage based on some of his life. The fact that it put a hole in me means that he's pretty strong..." Jeff explained. Johnson raised an eyebrow at this before Dave's cry for help snapped his attention to him. Back with Dave and Frostbyte, Dave was currently getting mauled by Frostbyte.

"Go help him, I'll be fine," Jeff told him, earning a nod in return before Johnson took off towards him. By now, Dave was losing a lot of Shadow Bugs and only had a bit more time left before he lost his form. Johnson gathered fire in his glove before he flew and socked Frostbyte in the jaw. His punch was hard enough to not only dismount him from the helpless Fire Primid, but it also shattered the ice on his face. Dave grunted as he propped himself up, wincing from his wounds before he started to reacquire his lost life. Johnson then hacked his gun again, before firing it again, launching even bigger blasts of energy. The shots collided with Frostbyte's armor, cracking it slightly. He reloaded his pistol but it was halted when an ice shard hit him in the shoulder, causing him to grunt. He went to shoot him again but two more shards collided into him, knocking him down. Frostbyte panted slightly as he started walking forward, eying the regenerating Sub-Space soldiers. By now, Jeff had recovered so he quickly counted his remaining cards before he grunted in annoyance. He didn't have that many left and it would take too long for him to reshuffle his deck. He pulled out another question mark card before he grunted with effort, throwing the card at Frostbyte. It hit him and caused a spinner to appear.

"C'mon, please be Eleven..." Jeff muttered, throwing his sword at Frostbyte in order to stall time. Frostbyte knocked the incoming projectile away but Jeff Brinked to his blade, coming after him with a downward slash. Frostbyte blocked that attack as well and countered by biting Jeff in the side and ripping a good chunk out of him, earning a loud grunt from him. He then slammed him on the ground and raised a paw up to finish him. The next few moments almost happened in slow motion. Jeff watched as the paw rushed forward to finish him as the spinner started slowing down. He also heard Dave scream his name in fear. Jeff ignored all of this and fixed his gaze solely on the spinner which finally stopped... on eleven. From behind Frostbyte appeared a dark, lanky figure with a ragged hood on and a joker mask. In his gnarled hands was a wicked scythe that gleamed dangerously. Looking at his master, he laughed eerily as he raised his scythe up and brought it down with such speed that Jeff had a hard time keeping up. Frostbyte froze on the spot, his paw just inches away from Jeff's face. With his task done, the robed joker placed one arm in front of him and gave Jeff a performer's bow, fading afterwards with a chilling chuckle. Sweatdropping at the close shave, Jeff let out a hollow chuckle himself, but this was short lived when Frostbyte's body fell onto Jeff. squishing him.

"JEFF!" Dave yelled, scrambling over while clutching his side. Using his free hand, he pushed against Frostbyte, freeing Jeff. Jeff sighed as he looked at his side, which was slowly reforming.

"Holy shit, that was way too close..." He honestly told him, earning a snort from Dave as he sat in front of him.

"Who are you telling? We almost got send back to the Halberd," Dave responded. The two of them let out nervous chuckles at the thought of having to reclimb the mountain again. Johnson walked over, his wounds healed.

"Regardless, what the hell was that last attack, Jeff?" Johnson asked. Jeff scratched his chin.

"That was Eleven," He simply said. The two of them gained question marks over their heads in response.

"Care to elaborate?"

"Impact Roulette has eleven different outcomes depending on what number I get. You already saw what One, Four, Six and Eleven did,"

"What did four do again?" Dave butted in, causing Jeff to sweatdrop.

"Made him weaker. That's the reason why he didn't outright kill us immediately,"

"So what do the others do?" Johnson asked. Jeff eyed his still recovering side, deciding that they had time to burn anyway.

"One hurts me based on a target's amount of life, Two attacks twice, Three ignores any type of defence, Four weakens them, Five doesn't really do anything special and it's the only one I can roll back to back, Six takes away their abilities for a while, Seven does a lot of damage but I take some in return, Eight deals damage and gives me back that energy, Nine does damage over time, Ten augments the others including itself and Eleven summons... Eleven to instantly take out whoever I hit. However I can't call Eleven again until I 'roll' fifty times," Jeff rambled. The others just eyed him in curiosity.

"So on top of that, you have various other cards you can use, as well as the ability to teleport at will?"

"Yeah, pretty much,"

"...Dude... You're the strongest Primid out of all of us! I thought Prime was the strongest at first! You could probably beat Ganondorf!" Dave exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air. Jeff snorted in response while Johnson grinned. By now, Jeff's side had fully recovered so he stood up, testing it before they looked at the path leading to the Summit.

"Up there are the Smashers..." Johnson muttered.

"Yeah... I can't believe we did it!" Dave cheered.

"Mmm-hmm. Good going, guys,"

"Yeah, good going..." Another voice rung out from behind them. The group of three turned around to see the heroes standing there, weapons online and ready to fight. Jeff gritted his teeth in response while the other two got into battle stances. Jeff thought about their current predicament. He still needed to shuffle his cards and he refused to use the Ace up his sleeve as well as his Joker card. All three of them, while fully restored body-wise was still aching from the long trek and Eleven wasn't available for a while. On top of that, he didn't even know what he was going to do about the whole leader situation. That was until he looked at the heroes in front of them. The ones that were actively trying to stop the Leader. It was then that an idea sparked in his head. The smaller one stepped forward, igniting his hand.

"So, how about you get out of our way and this won't have to end with you splattered all over the mountain," He threatened. Dave opened his mouth but Jeff raised a hand up, stopping him. He then stepped forward before he held his hands up.

"...How about we make a deal?" He started, earning weird looks from everyone. Jeff wasn't sure how this would work, but the best way to take down an enemy... was to befriend an enemy of an enemy.

And that's the end of this chapter! I know this took a different turn perspective wise but I assure you it was for good reason. (That and I just really wanted to write this chapter in the Sub-Space Army's perspective.) Exactly what will happen next chapter? You'll just have to wait and see... As always, feel free to read and review or ask anything that you might be confused about and I'll be sure to answer them as soon as possible! This is Kooper Shellington, signing off!

Other facts: has a fang that sticks out of his mouth, Very friendly despite his look, cares deeply about the army. An original Primid

Bio: Tusk is a Giant Primid that was here when Taboo was in charge. While not official, Tusk is seen as the Barrack's Caretaker as he's always there for his fellow crew members both in and out of missions. After some experimentation, he became a Juggernaut, a heavily armored version of a Giant Primid that focuses more on defense and protecting their allies with various shields and buffs than attacking. Don't take that as they are purely defensive as their giant gauntlets are more than enough to deal damage. Tusk, already being protective of his smaller troop members fits his role perfectly, making sure everyone is safe. This is one person you want on your side during a brawl.

Bio updated: Jeff

Name: Jeff

Species: Sub-Space Being/ Joker Primid

Other facts: Was made to be Tabuu's bodyguard, utilizes a curved blade as well as magical cards to combat foes, has various luck based attacks and abilities at his disposal. Can use a technique known as Brinking to teleport to different locations.

Bio: Jeff was brought into the world by Tabuu in order to be his bodyguard, just in case of anyone entered his realm and attempted to take him out. Jeff faithfully did his job for years until the battle between Tabuu and the Smashers happened. Being sent away by Tabuu in order to help the others fend off the Smashers, a small group was able to slip by and defeat him. To this day, no one knows exactly what happened to Tabuu but all Jeff knew was he was gone. Overwhelmed with guilt and frustration, he roamed the Subspace Realm for years, looking for any signs of his beloved leader, but this was met with no luck. With his purpose gone, Jeff went from sharp-eyed, no nonsense soldier to a noncaring, napping bystander. When the new Leader appeared and gave the Primids purpose again, Jeff was the only one that wasn't on board. Still, he joined as a way to stay close to his fellow brethren, the closest thing he would get to Tabuu. Nowadays, he can be found sleeping in various places with Dave by his side. However, due to dangerous rumors as well as a piece of his past popping up, he's more awake and hostile, especially towards the Leader. He doesn't know what it is, but he's determined to not let this faker destroy Tabuu's legacy and he's not afraid to do whatever it takes to put him down.

On the surface, Jeff seems to be a normal Sword Primid but he's actually a Joker Primid, an exclusive class for him that allows him to utilize his natural luck to hinder and defeat his foes. To help him with this, Jeff has access to a magical deck of cards that have various effects once thrown. His most powerful moves consist of his Gambling Arts, which uses various suits or card terms in order to invoke magical abilities, as well as his Impact Roulette attack which consist of eleven different possible outcomes both good and bad to Jeff himself. Should he get an Eleven, he can summon Eleven, the Joker, to instantly slay anyone Jeff wills. He also has access to two very powerful cards. One is an Ace given to him by Tabuu while the other is a Joker card given to him by Eleven when he first rolled an Executing Eleven. Jeff knows that the Joker card does but he's never used the Ace, opting to use it when he's been backed into a corner with no escape. With an unpredictable moveset as well as sword skills and a teleport, facing Jeff is a dangerous idea. Pray that luck is on your side to get you through this card game, otherwise you'll fold.
