Chapter 31

Leeeeettttttsssss get ready to RUMBLE!

Neo grinned as she skipped down the hallway, happy as can be, why the fuck wouldn't she be?

She was better!

She had woken up this morning and hadn't felt the pain she had expected to feel… huh, it must have been her boyfriends' awesome Semblance making her painful suffering better! Whoo!

She'd have to thank him later for it… hrmm… she had just the perfect idea!

Said boyfriend was walking just behind her with a smile, the rest of their friends were already down in the lunch hall and were more than likely stuffing their faces with all the delicious grub! Neo… yeah, she was feeling like a starving dog looking through a window at meat pies and smoked sausages.

Be it through getting the biggest portion she possibly could in the shortest amount of time if there was enough food left… or stealing it from anyone who looked easy enough to snatch it from before they even noticed.

Heh, maybe she could take it from that asshole who had apparently bullied Jaune in the past… Gotta remember to kill him at some point. No one bullies my adorable himbo but me! and only I get to do it the cute way, the way that makes him call me a little terror the way he knows I like!

… And she was the only one allowed to call him her adorable himbo! Anyone else who dared to do it would get their ass kicked! She had already done so to some bitch who'd dared to mutter 'I'd bang him if he wasn't such an idiot. Hah! Regular himbo!'

Getting her head put through a wall was fair punishment in her opinion!

Sunshine hadn't been too happy with her… in fact he'd told her off after pulling the girl from the wall who had run off screaming at the black-eyed glare Neo sent her way.

Meh, a batting of her eyes and a shake of her ass had killed his telling off powers pretty damn quickly, Neo grinning cheerily as she clambered up over him back and onto his shoulders, appreciating the new broadness he had gained over his intense workouts over the holiday.

Hell, he had actually needed to get a size up on his clothes that she and Princess had brought for him, the old ones being a little too tight for him… hah… she'd convinced him to keep the shirt, Neo doing her very best to not openly drool at how it clung to his muscles… what? She was allowed to enjoy how sexy her boyfriend was! It was basically a privilege of being his girlfriend!

Yeah, she imagined the fact he had been touched up by that bitch she'd done her best to impale with anything pointy she could find, had been the reason he had gotten most of it for free.

"So… you enjoy yesterday with your uncle? I… uh… I hope he's okay?" heh, aw, he was trying his best. Sunshine obviously hadn't met her uncle yet, why would he? It was… not the sort of thing that would end well.

Neo… Neo knew that Jaune was not on good terms with her uncle.

He'd been training hard, Neo worriedly watching him as he had come back some mornings in the very early hours, drenched in sweat and looking dead on his feet.

Yeah… she had put a stop to that by waiting up one night and frowning at him in her hoodie pyjamas when he had come through that door.

While he hadn't told her why he was doing what he was doing, and Neo had asked only for him to look away ashamedly, the way he had clutched at her that night and whispered her name in fear had told her all she needed to know.

Plus, that one time her uncle had appeared on the news, being chased by the cops in his getaway car… he had gotten this dark look in his eyes. Cold and hard as steel as he had glared at the screen.

He hated her uncle.

Hated him truly and passionately.

Heh… she needed to tell him at some point. She loved Jaune. Loved him with all her heart and begged herself to not hate herself every night that she kept the truth from him…

But! Back to the fun stuff! She… Jaune knew when she was down, even if she hid it with her Semblance, he somehow had this way of being able to tell when she was feeling bad. so that meant that she couldn't let herself feel sad for long.

She had been feeling kinda alright yesterday, at least better than the near homicidally shit she had been feeling the day before, and had gone and seen her uncle and… urgh… his girlfriend.

But, she would admit. The birthday party they had thrown for her had been nice!

There had been cake, and not just any cake!

Ice-cream cake!

Neapolitan style of course, what else?

He had brought her a nice ass bunch-ah-stuff, new TV, a little charm with their initials engraved into the surface that she hung just beside the one Jaune had gotten her, a bullet proof corset, and… oh, she was gonna make some damn good use out of the, uh… eheh… the little thing Svarti had slipped her when her uncle had been busy cutting the cake… it had been her way of apologising as she had told her that it had driven her uncle wild when the giant boobied bear Faunus had worn it for him.

She… hadn't needed to know that but had appreciated the thought and personally wanted to see just what Jaune's reaction would be.

Then, they had spent the night enjoying a good movie marathon, Neo catching up with her uncle about everything she had gone through at Beacon.

Told him about all the friends she had made, about the things she'd done, about the teachers, about how she had kicked the crap out of some idiots who'd dared to lay a finger on her man!

Yeah… probably not her shining moment to call Jaune her man in front of her uncle, judging from the way his eyebrow twitched.

Hell, she had been honest and told him that she was thinking of maybe giving the whole Huntress thing a go… and had nervously looked at him in worry for his answer.

Her uncle?

He'd smiled and told her he had no problem with that… so long as she stayed safe, and never went on missions with people she didn't know, staying with Jaune whenever she did go on missions. He had made it clear to her that he didn't want her doing missions for the Council or for the Headmaster.

She had understood his worry, naturally. Too much risk of her past being discovered, and way too much risk to her uncle and everyone she called friend in the criminal underworld of Vale.

Then… Neo had popped the big question.

When could she tell Jaune about… them? That he hadn't been trying to hurt her that night? That he was her uncle and had kept her safe all these years?

Yeah… the answer hadn't been as good as the first one…

"Neo… hah… with Cinder around, him knowing anything puts us in danger just as much as him. I know you care about him, that you think you're-"She had interrupted in that moment to make it clear that she… that she did love him, and was only waiting until she had told him everything about herself and her family, to confess it to him like Jaune had with her… Uncle had looked even more torn up about this whole thing when she'd said that. "That's what I mean, sweetheart… can you imagine what he'd do if he found out they were threatening us? He'd try and be a hero, try and 'save' us… and that'd only get him hurt or worse… look, wait until the bitch gets caught. Then? We'll meet up and, hell, I'll even let him sock me in the jaw for knocking him out that Bullhead, alright?"

She hadn't been too happy about it, hell, it had been written all across her face… but her uncle had been there to hug her gently and whisper his apologies to her. That had cheered her up a little, knowing that her uncle was telling the truth in that moment.

The night had ended… with Neo having to part ways with him… hugging her uncle close and making it clear she was gonna be coming back as soon as she could.

"Tell you what… why don't I… heh, dammit, next time that I get free from fire bitch and you and me can go to Juniors and enjoy a nice drink? Hell, you can even disguise us and I can formally meet your boyfriend… ek, that's gonna take some time to get used to, but he makes you happy… so I guess I can let him live"

He had laughed at the kick she had delivered to his shin, making sure to steal his ice-cream from the freezer before she left just to make sure that he knew the massive mistake he had made in daring to talk about her boyfriend like he was anything other than the best!

"Neo?" She looked down from her reminiscing, her boyfriend smiling up at her as she found herself in the lunchroom… their friends smiling there wa-Oh, wait. Blondie looked murderous… Hahah! She knew she couldn't shit though~! Neo and Her awesome boyfriend had made certain that she knew if she tried anything, Neo was gonna send the video to the rest of their friends.

Amber Eyes even joined in, ribbing the blonde brawler by saying that it was cute and was nothing to be ashamed of… yeah, she bet Blondie wasn't buying it from the giggles the kitty Faunus had been badly hiding.

They moved to grab some grub, letting the others know they would be there in a minute and… and… holy crap…

"Heya, young'un! Is my favourite lil ice-cream addict here for some grub?" the burly guy behind the counter asked, with a big smile on his face as he grinned at Sunshine and asked if he was being her beast of burden once again.

Heh, he loves it~ she grinned, patting her boyfriends head cockily as he rolled his eyes and smacked her thigh.

"Hey, Copper, Nora clear out the pancakes yet? You know how much she loves your delicious recipe" he smiled, knowing Nora had kinda gotten the shakes the day he had made her go without her usual twelve high stack.

"Hah! Little'un just got herself another stack, poor thing was looking so frail and scrawny I just had to give her extra syrup!"… Uh… yeah, he wasn't gonna touch that subject. Seeing as Copper was so big that he struggled to get through most doorways… well, he guessed even the massively powerful and, uh… well, he wasn't gonna think it in case Neo somehow found out, but Nora was anything butscrawny.

"Heh, I'll take your word for it" he grinned, watching Neo near snatch away the bowl of ice-cream that was offered to her. Huh, smelled like… wait… "Neo… is that… salted caramel?"

Yep! I've been wanting to have this baby for a long time! Indeed she had, Jaune knowing just how excited Neo had been to try out the delicious flavour. See, this wasn't just any salted caramel ice-cream. This was the kind that Beacon and only Beacon could make.

With cream and butter from cows raised in the greenest of paddocks with the finest of grains and beds of swan downy feathers stuffed inside silken pillow cases.

Sugars of the finest quality and refinement, gone over by a man whose soul purpose it was to find imperfections. The same went for the sea salt flakes...

All of this, among a few other ingredients, were blended together by hand. Mixed together so lovingly with the gentlest of care, and then 'cooked' to perfection…

He knew that Neo had been excitedly waiting for this, but that wouldn't stop him as he proceeded to cough out an "ahem!" As she tried to steer him back to their friends.

"Neoooo… You can't just eat ice-cream for breakfast" he told her, glad she was on his shoulders so that she couldn't hit him with the full force of her puppy dog pout.

Hands appeared before his face and Jaune stood firm as she begged him to just let her have it.

"Nope! Now, proper breakfast"

With a great, put off huff, Neo pointed out the many things she wanted that he knew was just to spite him since he knew that he was gonna be the one to carry their food.

Heh, he loved Neo, but she was a vengeful little thing.

Carrying platefuls of food, Neo seemed to realise she had been a little mean back there, kissing his forehead as he caught a whiff of salted caramel.

Would you like some? I… uh… sorry, got ice-cream fever there, heh one opening of his mouth later, and Jaune was tasting heaven. Hah… gods that was so good…

"Okay, Okay, you're forgiven" he grinned, Neo cheerily patting his head before hopping down and grabbing her plate off of him. he joined her as their friends grinned excitedly about their arrival… well, except Yang, but that was just funny to be honest.

"Heya, Fearless Leader!" Nora grinned, slapping his shoulder in joy as Jaune sat down beside a practically drooling Neo. "Ooo! That looks good, Neo! Can I have so-oop! Okay, nope! Won't touch the ice-cream!" Nora laughed at the way Neo threatened her with her spoon, glaring at her and protecting her precious dessert with the fury of the gods in her eyes.

"Hey, Nora, Yeah… I wouldn't risk doing that, Neo is kinda protective of her ice-cream normally and this one? Nah, wouldn't even try it" he joked, grinning as Pyrrha giggled into her hand and Ren patted the pouting berserkers back.

"Don't worry, I will make you some mochi later with some salted caramel in, okay?" he offered, Nora doing a Nora and perking up immediately, Neo and Jaune sharing a conspiratorial look with sly grins appearing on their faces. Yep. There was that thing they needed to sort out later.

"Hello, I hope you two enjoyed yourselves over the holidays" Weiss greeted ever so poshly, Jaune sending a beaming smile her way as he noted that Weiss was looking a little… huh…

You okay, Princess? Neo asked, clearly having noticed the almost sad look in Weiss' eyes.

"Hrmm? Oh, yes… just glad to be back… I guess you could say I got used to having friends and being without you all was…. Rather unfun" she admitted, Jaune watching as Neo gently took her hand and smiled cheerily at the tiny little one that appeared on Weiss' face.

"Well, We're happy to have you back, Weiss... And thanks for helping me get the new clothes, that clerk looked ready to faint when you glared at him over the Scroll" he laughed, Weiss having been the one to remind him that their employee had been the one to... Well, to touch him. Yeah, he... Hadn't been the biggest fan of that or having the drag a pissed off Neo out the store.

"Not a problem, couldn't have your clothes tearing off because you moved a certain way, mid... Fight..." Weiss paused, her eyes slowly going wide as he looked at her curiously, Pyrrha was much the same too as he looked to her for help... Uh...

"Weiss? Pyrrha? Are… you okay?"

Thankfully, he guessed, Neo came to their rescue via smacking the backs of their heads and glaring at them for some reason.

"Wh-what!? I-I-I wasn't having improper thoughts! How dare you insinuate it!" Weiss squawked, Jaune inching back a little, alongside everyone else and especially Blake who covered her Faunus ears with a wince.

"Ah! Oh, I… sorry…." Pyrrha whispered, Jaune further confused by the fact Neo seemed to decide she needed to latch onto him via patting his arms until he let her onto his lap, kissing his cheek and feeding him a bit of baking, aw… was she jealous at the thought Weiss and Pyrrha were thinking of him like that? Hah! As if, they were probably cringing at the idea of him embarrassing them like that by tearing his clothes.

He snuggled her closer, whispering that she was the only girl for him and that would never change.

Hah! Suck it, bitches! He's mah boyfriend and you can just deal with it! She sent them the most evilly victorious smirk she could muster, turning it into a sweet lil' smile whenever Jaune looked her way.

Hah… oh, he was so innocent and, while she knew Nikos and Princess wouldn't try anything while they were together, like hell was she gonna let them drool over her boyfriends' sexy body!

Maybe if they offered their undying loyalty to her and kept bringing her offerings of sweets, then maybe she would allow them to do it once a week.

"S-so…um… moving on from that, Jaune, did you and Neo enjoy yourselves on her birthday?" his partner asked, the others peaking their heads in interest as they'd seemed to have forgotten that it had been Neo's birthday the other day.

"Oh! I'm so sorry for forgetting!" Blake interrupted with that animation to her actions she only really ever got around Neo and Yang… though, he imagined it was for entirely different reasons seeing as Neo was Blake's book buddy. "Here, me and Yang-"

"Grr!"

"-Hah… We got you a nice little selection of books and I stopped Yang from burning the jar of jellybeans she got you. They're ice-cream flavoured" she smiled, Neo giddily taking the offered things with reverence. She thanked Blake profusely and… well, she didn't tease Yang with the video she had on her Scroll. Heck, she actually made sure Yang saw the sincere thank you she sent her way! That was nice.

Hee… we'll share these later at book club, cool? She asked, Blake producing a package of fish shaped snacks and shaking them with a smile. And Blondie? Tell you what, if you can beat me in a spar later, I'll delete that video~

"… this is a trap… but deal, I'll cream you, you little shit" she growled, red eyes flicking to Jaune and making it clear she planned some kind of revenge on him. Hah, good luck to her. He already had contingency plans in place that were needed since he remembered the time he had tricked Vert into smoking an exploding cigarette behind the shed after she'd drawn moustaches' all over his comics' and hadn't planned a counter for when she'd put baby oil on the kitchen floor and he'd gone flying.

Neo would be proud of him, he literally had a plan for anything Yang could try and pull, even if he had the idea that she wasn't gonna try anything for a while after the blow he'd dealt to her pride.

"I got you something as well, though I suppose it would be more appropriate to say it's for both of you" Pyrrha mentioned, pulling out a movie series that Jaune knew were hard to find and what looked like a blanket of sorts that had him and Neo looking all sorts of confused.

It turned out, that the blanket was actually an official Pumpkin Pete snuggy with arms either side but he had the feeling Neo was going to have him be both arms while she cocooned herself within the warmth. Alongside this, the thing was warm with a neck hole big enough that he and Neo could both easily fit their heads through it. Neo smiled, happily telling Pyrrha that she was gonna make some good use of this tonight as he and Neo had planned to have a get together with everyone to ring in the new semester.

Weiss, Oum above, she'd gone and gotten them an all expenses paid trip to a beach in Vacuo! When she and Jaune had told her that this was too much, that they couldn't do this, Weiss had simply raised an eyebrow.

"You seriously think this is a lot of money for me? Hah! Besides… I… consider it a thank you, for helping me with my combat a little while ago. You made me realise I focus a little too much on style and formal fighting forms. All well and good when it comes to fighting Grimm who are mindless creatures, but other Huntsman? Hah, you should have seen my sisters face when I managed to kick her legs out from under her!" she giggled, actually giggled, as she clearly thought on back to the scene.

Nora and Ren had come next, the pair having given Neo a… huh…

Neo stared… she stared and stared at the present that the pair had gotten her…

I… this…

"It's something we thought you'd really like… I… I know how much you care about Jauney, so me and Renny made this. Wouldn't believe how hard it was to carve the Forever Fall tree wood, but it was worth it!" Cow… Nora told her, a gentle smile on her face as Neo continued to stare at the picture she had been given.

It… it was a picture of her and Jaune… smiling brightly and holding each other close in a picture that Nora had taken the other day.

It was a happy moment between them, then again they always were when they were together.

But that wasn't the only one. The picture was almost like a collage with little pictures surrounding the main one of them. It was all of them… her and… Ren doing a bit of Yoga with Jaune and Nora stood in the background with giant nosebleeds.

Nora and Neo in an eating contest where she was devouring ice-cream and waffles while the berserker was eating just as big an amount of pancakes and syrup, Neo giggling at the memory with a bit of regret since neither had ended up winning and had suffered the worst of stomach aches.

She and Pyrrha sparring in the ring, a grin on the spartans' face as Neo had challenged her in a way she apparently never had before. Neo had won of course, but… well, to be fair, that was more because of the fact she had pulled a fast one and used a combination of ballistic plastic and bullet proof glass to create a badass replica of her weapon that Pyrrha couldn't manipulate. Heh, it had been so funny to watch her eyes widen when Neo's blade had carried on the stab her in the boob despite that black glow.

Then… then there was all of them… having gone to an arcade, the one on the pier from their first date, all smiling at the camera as Pyrrha had floated all of theirs Scrolls into the air on timers. Their smiles wide and joy in their eyes as Neo's had shone yellow in happiness, joyfully being held in her boyfriends arms while the other huddled around them… it…

Ah shit… *sniff* I…

A hand touched against hers, Neo's head snapping up to find Nora holding her hand while Pyrrha and Ren looked at her kindly.

"I… I never really had a family, my mom abandoned me the second Grimm came near us. Ren was my only family for the longest time, but then I met Jauney and Pyr… and I had an even bigger family in them! Now… I… Neo? I'd like you to know you're also a part of my family. Of our family" the words boomed in her head, sounding throughout her body as she thought on the words…

Family… The only family she'd ever had was her Uncle and, to a lesser extent, the twins… but she was really inviting her to be a part of their family? Jaune was… well, family wasn't really the right word considering family was something she reserved for people like her uncle… but the others… ah, fuck!

She sniffled and snuffled, greedily grabbing at them as she was enveloped in many a hug from her… her family… heh, she liked considered these idiots as her family… heh.

Jaune smiled as Neo was engulfed in happy time hugs, readily accepting the affection. Why wouldn't she?

Nora was, without a lot of people realising it, the most emotionally mature person on their team. She knew just what to say at times, and clearly she'd put a lot of thought into this.

"So, Jaune" Blake quietly asked, clearly not wanting to interrupt the cute scene, even Yang was clearly doing her very best to not 'aw' at the scene before her. "Did you and Neo enjoy her birthday? I remember you telling us all about the things you wanted to do"

"Oh, see… we didn't actually end up doing that… Neo, uh…" He looked down at her, silently asking her for permission as Neo thought about it with a small frown… before smiling his way kinda shyly and nodding her head.

It was strawberry season… She announced with a frown, the other girls getting far away looks in their eyes as they silently sent their condolences to his poor girlfriend.

"Neo… had lady problems and so I cancelled all the plans and spent the day comforting her in our dorm room. Shoulda seen her face when I made her that sundae!" he happily supplied, taking a forkful of nugget and bringing it to his mouth… only to pause as the sounds in the lunchroom proceeded to grind to a halt.

He looked up in confusion, not really sure as to why he was being stared at.

Yup. Weiss, Pyrrha, Nora, Neo, Blake, Yang and… weird, more than a few other girls as well…

"Uh… what?"

Blake was the one to reply, though it wasn't without coughing into her fist.

"S-Sorry… it's just… um… Well, it's rare for a guy to sound so cheerful about taking care of their girlfriend during… the season, I mean.. what you spent must have cost a lot of Lien… and yet you dropped it all without a single bit of argument?"

"Okay, why the heck does everyone act so surprised when I say this? Seriously, what else was I supposed to do? Just let her suffer? Force her to have to deal with it on her own?" he asked them, a little confused and annoyed as they genuinely looked at him like he was a rare species or something.

None seemed to notice a few guys getting glares from their girlfriends who in turn glared at the unaware knight.

"I mean, yeah she threw a cleaver at my head and kinda destroyed the hallway when Cardin and his team somehow managed to not get the message that she didn't wanna answer the door. But hey! She apologised as soon as she knew it was me" he added on quickly, feeling Neo shrink in on herself a little and jab his side embarrassedly. "Sorry" he whispered, kissing her forehead.

"That was you!?" Nora gasped, looking affronted and almost annoyed at Neo who glanced at her confusedly. "Why didn't you let me join you!? I've wanted to do that for ages!" she gasped, Neo… oh gods, she texted that she'd let her help her next time, clearly still riding on her high of being considered like family to the ginger… that was not going to end well.

"You… you spent the day… taking care of anything and everything she may have needed, and did so with a smile? As in, you actually enjoyed doing it?" Weiss asked, an almost disbelieving look on her face.

But for now… well, he would ignore the impending sense of dread and despair at the repair bill he knew that he was gonna be stuck with, later. He could spend time enjoying talking about what he and Neo had gotten up to the other day!

"Eyup! I mean, why wouldn't I? I gave her hot water bottles whenever she needed them, massaged anywhere that ached, made her food whenever she wanted it and of course, sweet, chocolatey stuff was a must have"

Neo proudly and extremely smugly grinned a Cheshire smile at any and all that caught her eye, ready and willing to show off just what she thought of their jealous glares and stares via projecting the image of a giant Neon sign of a blinking arrow pointing down at her boyfriend with MINE displayed at the top. A couple mini 'hers' were also there, toothy grins as she flipped the bird at anyone who looked ready to try and challenge her title as girlfriend.

Of course, Mr Abs was completely unaware, couldn't have him realising he was more than likely making an enemy of most of the guys in the lunchroom after all. she'd simply kick the crap out of them from the shadows if they tried anything on him.

"-And then I braided her hair after she tried to leave it a rats nest, heh, like I would have let that happen… We… we ended the night with me admitting something to Neo… something that I guess I knew for the longest time…" he felt Neo freeze, her eyes bugging out as she silently stuttered out a question as to what he thought he was doing. He gently took her lips, kissing her gently until she relented… before muttering "I love you… and I'll help you whenever you need it" he whispered, many an 'aw' escaping the lips of their friends as Jaune remembered they weren't quite alone… oops?

Still from the way that they were all smiling their way, even Yang who quickly tried to kill it before Neo herself caught it. Hah, fat chance, Neo was always one for seeing things others didn't. he imagined it was from the fact she was mute so she had less distractions from noticing the habits of people… and… well, okay it was more than likely mainly because she used to be a thief… but hey! The only thing she'd stolen in the last couple days was Weiss' shampoo that she'd left behind so… yay?

Once again, Neo managed to enjoy the love and affection he showed her, despite the fact her face was going tomato at the open display of affection. Still... It was nice that he wasn't afraid to admit that he loved her in public... even if she had to throw a spoon into the crotch of a guy who was looking ready and willing to try and whack her boyfriend over the head with a tray. She'd seen him get smacked around the back of the head by a thoroughly pissed off girl who she assumed was his soon to be ex.

"So... Feel free to not answer, but how are you okay? I mean... Surely, from the sound of it, you were suffering rather badly..." Nikos asked her, a worried and curious expression on her face as Neo proudly hugged herself close to her boyfriend as she proudly announced.

My awesome boyfriend here has a badass Semblance that somehow made it all go... Away... Oh fuck... Too late did she realise what she had done… too late did she realise what hellish torment she had surrendered her boyfriend to…

But still, she could easily avert this hell by simply saying that it only worked for h-

"Eyup!" Shit! I forgot how oblivious he is! Dammit, how could I forget the most adorable yet dangerous thing about him!?"You see… I know that normally, a Huntress'… visit from mother nature is shorter than usual because of aura and all helping to heal"

Neo desperately waved her hands near his face but Mr Abs was on a world of his own, proudly saying how he had helped her in her time of need… which was sweet and all but this was literally the worst possible time for this shit!

Jaune! Look at me! Hey! Look down, you handsome dumbass before it's too late! She tried in vain to get his attention, but his eyes were closed and was too lost in probably being proud of helping her to notice the way everyone at their table was staring at him… wide eyes, mouths falling open and cutlery clattering to the table. But the scariest part? The looks in the eyes of everyone but Captain Neutral… oh Oum… it was already too late… "But I guess my Semblance also helps with that! Pretty neat, huh? Oh, uh, hey… Yang? Why are ya leaning against me?

"Oh…~ Nothing, nothing ol' buddy of mine!" she answered, Jaune's danger senses firing off for reasons he didn't quite the meaning of… Oh, wait.

"Uh… I thought you were mad at us? Me specifically?" he asked, Yang smacking his arm and blowing raspberries out of her lips.

"Hah! No idea what you're talking about ol' pal oh mine! My near as dammit brother from another mother! Say… you ever considered switching teams? I mean, how hard would it be? I can totally see you being a new member of team RWBY! Why don't you give it a think! I mean… we could really use your help and you wouldn't just abandon us, right? By the way, my favourite ice-cream is toffee"

"Uh… one, that doesn't really work name wise, and two… why the heck would I? I'm more than happy with my own team after all? Three… Whadda you mean?" He answered, turning with a start when the iron hand of Pyrrha clamped down onto his shoulder with a smile on her face that… kinda worried him…

"Yes, Yang. Don't you see? He is happy with his team and would never abandon us~ I mean, his loving girlfriend is on ours, how could you ever think of being so cruel as to try and tear them apart? On a completely unrelated note, I am rather fond of candle lit baths" She asked, Nora and Neo joining in, with his girlfriend… oh crud, why did he let her have a metal knife? Where was the plastic one's he'd brought for her!? Neo and metal cutlery was never a good thing when she was angry!

"Why yes, I completely understand such a thing, but mayhaps Jaune would appreciate a change in scenery? Why, I think Jaune would like a good old week-long visit to our dorm room in say… ooo about two weeks, right Blake? Does that sound lovely, Jaune, because I think it does~" Weiss added with a smile that… looked really out of place on her face… Weiss smiling was a rare thing normally but this one… yeah, it sent shivers down his spine.

"Oh, that sounds right, Neo, you haven't got a problem with… letting Jaune come over, once a month, right?" Apparently, Neo did from the way her eye twitched, Jaune finding himself trying to shrink back as the dawning realisation that revealing he had a quick way to get rid of period cramps to his very much female friends was… probably not his brightest idea…

He yiped in fear as Nora slammed her hand down on her table with a manic grin on her face. What shocked him most though, was the fact that Ren was glaring as well…

Heheh… I'm… I'm in danger, aren't I?

"You trynna steal my fearless leader there, girls? Fat chance!" She growled, clutching at a nearby watermelon like a rock.., Huh Neo could appreciate the improvised weapon skill there.

"Jaune is our leader, he will be staying with us, wouldn't want you… taking advantage of him" Captain Neutral added… yeah, she guessed she understood that. Oum knows how scary Cow Tits could be on a bad one…

She turned to her team with a start.

Knowing exactly what she had to do as they started arguing with the bitches of WBY who dared to try and steal her man for themselves! Claiming that she should share his power and not be selfish! Hah as if! She had girlfriend privileges to hold up after all!... Okay, maybe she would be nice and let her team have it as well… but only the Semblance! Nothing else! Snuggle and massage time was hers and hers alone! Besides, she doubted after the little 'thank you' she'd given him this morning that Jaune

Nora? You thinking what I'm thinking? she grinned, Cow Tits' eyes flying wide and that grin got even bigger… as she picked up a bowl of tomato soup…

"FOOD FIGHT!"

… Okay, not what she was thinking but hey! Watching Princess get a bowl of soup to the face was the funniest thing ever!

Ruby skipped dreamily down the hallway… hah~ She'd never known how cool it would be meet someone who was as much of a weapons lover as herself! No! She wasn't a nerd or a geek like Yang claimed she was! Nope! And… well, it was also kinda nice that he was cute… like, really cute… hee… he had been so nice! And he had promised to make her a nice new weapons mag that would discharge a full two seconds quicker and hold more ammo without getting too much bigger!

A-and... Well... K-kissing Charbons' cheek goodnight had been rather embarrassing to do, but the way he had smiled had just made her day!... Well, night but meh!

And then she had met her new friend! She had kinda awkward and... Well, for some reason had been scared of magnets... But had been really cool! Aw, and the way the two of them had gotten on had... Okay, Ruby may have gotten a little bit jealous and clung to Charbons' arm and he'd gotten a nose bleed for some reason...

Hah! But still! She was a young girl in love and she was gonna show Charbon her cherry hot forge later, asking if he wanted to temper his sword in it... She'd had no idea why her dad had looked ready to have a heart attack when she'd said that... But what she did know was that she was gonna hide her dad's weapons when she came to introduce Charbon to him…

With a slightly nervous giggle, Ruby opened the doors, ready to greet her friends and show them the cool binder she'd made in preparation for the new semester… only to have to jump out of the way of a flying cheese wheel with a squeak of terror…

"What the heck!?" She yelped, finding that all her friends were having a giant food fight! Well, everyone but Jaune… he was kinda running around screaming with Neo beating up anyone who came close to grabbing him using anything an everything she could get her hands on, a swordfish she stole from Weiss, throwing shrimp like ninja death stars at Blake who… heh… Blake really didn't hide her catlike nature well as she chased after the fishy food.

"Ruby!" Yang yelled, fighting a watermelon on a pole wielding Nora with two turkeys on her fists. "Help us kick the crap out the guys keeping us from the chosen one!"

"Uh…" Ruby was about to nope out of there, food fights seemed fun and all, but the fact that Neo had found a very pointy looking shish kebab, made her think living was more important… that was, until the grinning mute grabbed a tray of cookies… her favourite kind of cookies… the kind that she knew the bakers in Beacon only ever made a single tray of per day… and proceeded to throw it straight at a screeching Weiss who ducked out of the way…

Ruby felt her heart shatter as they smashed against the wall… the precious cookies being completely obliterated and reduced to nothing but crumbs…

In a matter of seconds, she appeared before her team, holding a tray in either hand with a hatred filled glare that did not look like a puppy!

"Team RWBY! Take. Them. Down! Justice for the cookies!" she screeched, charging forward and ready to kick the stuffing out of the treat destroying monster!

Jaune hid behind the mountain of tables that Nora and Pyrrha had stacked high, Ren stood behind him with a deadly seriousness in his eyes, fighting away a hissing Blake who tried to claim she would teach him something that would turn Neo to jelly if he swore to using his Semblance on her in a few weeks… before Ren batted her away with a leak to the face.

"Ren! What the heck is happening!? And why are you joining in with it!? Nora was the one I would expect to do this, but you!?" he yelled, hearing the sounds of battle as Ruby, who had come into this at some point, tore after Neo with murder in her eyes as Neo squirted lemon juice at her that made her all the angrier.

"You made the choice to reveal you can stop any girls time of the month from being too bad in front of a group of people who are mostly girls!" he announced calmly but forcefully, flicking a table upwards that Nora batted into Yang before-

"Oh Oum, you put her through the roof!" he screeched, watching Yang disappear into the stratosphere with a screech that Neo should learn to share…?

"Yes. A sacrifice… but on that needed to happen" he told him…. that didn't exactly help put him at ease! "Jaune. You are a precious thing that must be coveted and protected at all costs. You have no idea how much pain and suffering you will save me"

He muttered, before Jaune could try and explain to him that it couldn't be as bad as he was making it out to be, Neo vaulted over the table before them with a grin on her lips and ice-cream war paint on her cheeks.

Jaune! I got a plan but I need you to boost me up! She told him, her grin faltering as Jaune continued to look at her like she was insane… he loved Neo… but the ever loving heck had they started!?

"Neo! Seriously, what is going on here!? What's so wrong about me helping them!?"

The fact that Neo looked at him in horror and betrayal was a further confusion to the already seriously confused Arc. Before she simmered down and hit him with a deadpan, but very serious stare.

Jaune. You know how much I care about you, right?

"Of course! But… that doesn't really answer my questi-"

Good! So know how serious I am when I say that if you don't just go along with my crazy and juice me up, you are never, ever getting another butt job from me.

"Charge!" he bellowed, throwing forth his tray like he'd seen Captain Vale do in the comics with brandishing his mighty stick of bread as she charged forth with his team, Pyrrha having been boosted as well as she summoned a storm of anything metal in the room while Neo used her Semblance to hide them, both girls with manic smirks upon their faces as the previously proud looking Ruby… suddenly looked a little nervous… Blake was by her side but she was the last one there, Weiss having been taken out by Nora's melon hammer and was currently being dramatic as per usual and acting like she was dying a heroes death in the corner.

"Uh… truce?" she asked, but Neo clearly had no mercy as she nodded her head at Pyrrha to end this battle of thei-

"WHAT IS GOING ON IN HERE!"

Ruby turned in fright as Miss Goodwitch appeared with a fury in her eyes and a crop in her hand, she raised a hand, ready to give a really good explanation for what had happened... Only for it to die on her lips as Yang crashed back through the roof with a yelp.

Yeah... Miss Goodwitch's eyebrow twitch got bigger and bigger as she stared them down... But Ruby. Had just thought up a fool proof answer!

"JNNPR STARTED IT!"

"Oh, really now? So. Where are they then?" She asked with her glare not getting better as Ruby turned with an evil smile, ready to make the cookie destroyer… pay?

Right where her enemy should have stood, with the rest of her evil henchmen… there was only empty air and a hastily dropped ice-cream cone, somehow even a ball of lettuce floated on by on a breeze Ruby couldn't feel.

"Uh… b-b-but they were right there!" she yelled as the Headmistress barrelled down on them with her crop raised. "Oh poop…" she muttered, her friends clutching at her in fear… where was a hero when she needed one!?

"Oh, aunty! There's my… heh, my girlfriend! Hi, Ruby!" came her hero, Ruby turning in joy as her darling Blacksmith appeared with Jaune's terrifying mom beside him who was looking not too happy with the suddenly scared looking meany who quickly zipped over and patted her head.

"Oh, hello there, Joan! I… was just telling these lovely young woman how I am so glad they destroyed my lunchroom… hah… hah, children will be children after all!"

Neo giggled as she leaned into Sunshine's side, him clearly doing his very best to not actually show that he'd found her escape plan earlier funny. Heh, she'd pulled a fast one and slipped them away under her Semblance, sneaking past the pissed looking woman and even past his mom… who turned her way as Neo had frozen in fear… oh dear gods… how the hell did she notice them!?

Thankfully, she'd smiled there way and wished them a good morning as Sunshine had shakily given one in reply, Neo patting his cousin on the shoulder as he bashfully thanked the partially decloaked girl for helping him get a girlfriend. Neo's revealed head had gone a little red as she smiled bashfully, before disappearing once more as she ran like hell down the hall with her team following, the rest of them saying hello and goodbye to the mother and cousin pair.

A very un-killed Team RWBY had appeared during the middle of Walrus Faces lecture, Neo doing her very best to burn a hole through his head whenever he looked her way. apparently having forgotten the insult he had made at her height and age. She did not look like a tween! No! Like hell did she!

They were currently sat in the library, team RWBY surprisingly having not been too salty as they had looked back on the event as being funny as hell. Plus, there was the fact that Jaune had told them, despite her pout and the yelling of Cow Tits that he was a traitor, that he would help them out if they needed a 'boost'… but had made it clear that Neo herself was the only one who got the other stuff. Neo smugly beaming as Blondie had slumped, having whined about needing a back massage.

Heh… Neo guessed that would be good enough.

She still got the special attention and treatment that she deserved… meh, maybe she'd follow through with her earlier idea and… well, treat her boyfriend to a special treat later. Her honorary sister… heh… that was nice to say… Nora had made it clear that they could have the room whenever they wanted as she was good at finding stuff for her, Captain Neutral and Nikos to do for a couple hours.

Currently, she was enjoying a good convo with Amber Eyes about a book the two of them planned to read later. She... Had seemed a little off lately, her eyes seeming tired at times but she had been happy enough to join her for a good book talk. The rest of them were playing Remnant, the game where Blondie was dominating surprisingly.

But... just as she was about point out that the one character just had to be gay if the way she kept trying her best to be anywhere and everywhere the hero was just to try and talk about how amazing and sexy they were... That only a hero could possibly tame... Amber Eyes froze... Before immediately leaping behind a confused Blondie.

"Oh gods, it's my stalker!" Blake helped, Jaune turning with a start as... Did he have a cousin he didn't know about? He was certain he had no Faunus relatives... Hrmmm... Wait, oh dear gods... He needed to keep Neo's eyes covered!

"Hey Blake! Sorry I lost you in Vale, but hey, look! Guess who is also here at Beacon?" came the guys cheery reply, waving excitedly as a guy in blue walked next to him (Edit; Elder here. Journey does NOT like Neptune for reasons she is not wanting to reveal and is part of the reason this took so long to come out, actually caused an argument so I am writing this bit as she refuses to write for him)

Hiss!* was her reply, the table growing a little tense at the way Blake growled his way with Yang moving to stand fully before him with crossed arms and red eyes.

"Uh Huh. Lost? Sounds more like she was trying to get away from you" she growled, but the blonde guy kept smiling cheerily, unknowing of the impending butt whooping Yang was clearly planning on him.

"Huh? Oh, sorry if scared ya! You just seemed upset and I wanted to try and cheer you up, hey, any way I can make it up to you? Oh! I got some banana bread, want some? Home made!... Not by me, but hey, food!" he cheerily asked, offering a hand to Yang who... Well, he guessed he didn't blame her for looking like a deer in headlights. Everyone else was watching the weird conversation as well, not Neo though! Dear gods... Those abs... Jaune knew he was bi, even if he leaned more towards girls and yet... Oum above, he may just join Neo in drooling over those glorious things of she ever saw them.

"Uh... The hell?" was all Yang said in response.

Blake ever so slowly came out from behind her, a curious and confused expression on her face.

"You... aren't stalking me?" she asked, Nora ever so slowly putting away Magnhild away much to Jaune's relief.

"Stalking? Nah! I mean... Wow, okay that kinda did seem a little... Ah .. but nope! Just wanted to help a pretty girl out" he grinned with a roguish wink that... Okay, seriously, this guy was everything Jaune wanted to be and more... Then again, Yang looked a little pissed again so he guessed that there was something about him that Jaune didn't wanna be.

"Pretty girl who is my girlfriend" she growled… and then there was silence as the guy cocked his head to the side… literally nothing but the sound of Neo struggling to pry his hands from over her eyes.

And then…

"Oh! cool, fair enough then, no biggy!" he announced with a care free smile, the guy behind in blue looking a little annoyed at the monkey Faunus' reaction. Yang… for some reason got a little bit of an ick factor from the guy… like he was looking at her the same way as the other guys back at Signal had stared. "My name's Sun and the blueberry here is Neptune"

"Heh… such a lame move, dude-also I'm not a blueberry!" he groaned at his… friend? Who flicked a hand through his hair and grinned at them… yeah… ew. "Yo, name's Neptune… so, you ladies… fancy showing me around sometime? Show me all the cool places?" he asked, Yang and Blake pulling back in both confusion and a little ick at the way he smiled, Yang noticing how those eyes of his dipped.

Thankfully, this Sun guy lent a hand, elbowing Neptune's side and shooing him away.

"No. Bad. Go away. I will spray you with water" he threatened, pulling out a tiny little bottle of water that sent the idiot packing with a squeak of horror. "Sorry about him, he means well, but… eh?" he responded… and Yang growled out in annoyance that made the guy jump back in fear as Blakey looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"You. Are telling me. That you aren't some creepy stalker who was chasing down my girlfriend?"

"U-Urgh… nope?"

"That you're just a decent guy who was trynna help someone? And it came off the wrong way?"

"Yep!"

"And… now that you know we're together… you're…?"

"More than happy to just be friends!... well, if you wanna, anyway. She seems cool, and so do you!" he smiled so… so fucking innocently… and it pissed her off!

"Urgh! Dammit! Why!?" she yelled, glaring at him with red eyes. "I wanted to be the angry, protective girlfriend! I wanted to kick your ass and be the awesome girl who would get all the kisses! But… but you just had to be like this! Dammit! Why couldn't you be a creepy weirdo instead of a nice person who just wants to help!?"

Neo rolled her eyes as she managed to break away from my boyfriend, seriously, why was she worried she would leave him? What? Did he seriously think a pair of abs would have her… holy shit…

She watched the guy talking the Amber Eyes and Blondie who… well, from what she'd heard, Blondie was just pissed she couldn't play hero and get Amber Eyes to give her heart eyes.

But… then there was the fact that the guy… fucking hell…

No! Sunshine's abs are all I need! She yelled at herself, spinning around and slamming her head into his stomach, touching up his abs up and giggling to herself as she met the familiar sight of those delicious abs… eheheh… huh. Actually… what the hell had she been thinking? The best part about Sunshine's abs, that made him better than anyone else, was the fact that… well, they smelled like him… his personal scent. It had changed a little, the scent of blade oil and lemon grass all overlaying a hint of cinnamon.

Then there were the small scars upon them hard muscles, the ones he'd gotten trying to save her during that terrible, horrible night…

She looked up at her flushing boyfriend who was stuttering a little, trying to from words as Neo smiled up at him.

Your abs are all the only ones I need she told him, her boyfriend pausing in his movements… and smiled down at her, Neo hopping up and leaving a kiss on his lips. She turned around, the wide eyes of Captain Neutral and Nikos causing her to flush red in embarrassment for a moment… before she saw something that made her blood freeze… and then she got pretty damn fucking angry.

Jaune? Don't get involved. She told him, Jaune looking confused for a second… before he saw what she was seeing and tried to argue… but she stared at him knowingly, letting him know that she had to be the one to do this.

As soon as he reluctantly nodded, Neo moved.

Weiss giggled behind her hand as the handsome stranger leaned over her, a suave smile on his lips and an intelligent glint in his eye as he had asked for her name…

"And I don't believe I've caught your name, Snow Angel~" her cheeks flushed as Weiss introduced herself with a stutter… images of a blonde knight that she had lost the chance to be with fluttering through her mind as she wondered… just maybe… would this young man, Neptune… be the one?…

"Huh, Weiss? Pretty name… say, we're clearly both intellectuals, I know a smart girl when I see her, wanna come with me to read a good book?" he winked, Weiss allowing him to heap on the praise as she honoured him with a shy smile.

"Well… I wouldn't be opposed to such a thi-"

What the hell do you think you're doing, asshole!? Neo suddenly lunged forward, Weiss recognising the signing for what it was as Neo got into the face of the tall boy as best she could.

"Uh… what? I've… got no idea what you're doing" he muttered, Weiss just as confused as she asked Neo what was going on.

This asshole was staring at Pyrrha and Nora's tits while talking to you, pervert was damn near drooling over them! She told her, Weiss' eyes flying wide as she turned to the oblivious boy who was glared at by the angry girl…

"Were… were you looking at my friend's… chests, while talking to me?" she asked, eyes narrowing as his flew wide. The pair in question jolted at the accusation, Weiss hearing the faint click of a weapon as Lie Ren appeared with a storming glare in his eyes, directly opposite to the hearts that near appeared in Nora's at the sight of the defensive Mistralian.

"I-I no! Hah, why would I do that? Pfft, she's wrong! Nah… say, wanna come and show me around the school? Cou-YOUCH!" He screeched as Weiss shot to her feet with an imperious turn of her head and a flick of her pony tail as she stomped onto the foot of the perverted idiot as she stormed off in a huff.

As she shoved open the door in anger, she felt a hand on her arm, her anger fading as she realised it was Neo…

"I'm… sorry… tha-That pervert!" she yelled, stamping her foot on the floor, looking behind her to see the idiot was coming her way with a hobble in his step that would have brought a smile to her lips, if she wasn't so furious at a man trying to flirt with her while also checking out the breasts of her teammates! "Hah… Neo, would you mind dealing with him? I… I think I need to go for a little walk, send Ruby to the gardens, would you?" she asked, Neo nodding her head, Weiss blinking in shock at the action, squawking and shouting to get off… even if she appreciated the action.

Neo stood there with hands on her hips and a scowl on her face as the asshole opened the door, the angry faces of their friends following suit until she stopped them at the doorway with a raised hand. This fucker was hers.

"H-Hey! Where'd she go?" he asked, a panicked expression on his face as he looked for her friend.

She went for a walk. Unless you want me to kick your ass, I advise you stay the hell away from her she texted, showing him the response that caused him to… look pretty guilty, Neo pausing for a moment as she looked at him suspiciously.

"Hah… I… I'm sorry, about before, that was a stupid thing to do and I know I messed up… listen, my name's Neptune and I'm sorry for upsetting you all… is there any way I can make it up to you all? Weiss especially… she seems like a really nice girl and I think she may be the right person to help me stop… me being me!" he said with a look in his face that Neo… hrmm… she wasn't sure what to think of it… here he was, pleading with her… and he looked pretty guilty, but then again, so had that one asshole that had tried to rufie a girl at the club… Neo didn't really remember much, her head had started hurting as soon as she realised what had been happening… the twins had dealt with him.

Now, she doubted this guy was like that other one. But she needed to be sure he wasn't gonna hurt her friend!

Do you actually mean that? Your teammate over there doesn't seem to be acting like this is anything new she informed him, Turd (her nickname until he proved he wasn't) turning to find Banana Boy (he seemed nice so he got a nice nickname) was smacking his forehead and looking a little ashamed and embarrassed.

"Ah… yeah, I guess I deserve that, but I swear I'm a pretty cool guy, just haven't met the right girl to make me see the error of my ways is all! But you helped to prove what I just did was messed up! I swear! I'll show her I'm a pretty great guy, I mean, look at me!" he proudly announced, hands gliding through the air around his body showing off himself that Neo… ew. Like, seriously, ew. Clearly he saw her unimpressed stare as he deflated a little and coughed into his hand. "Ah… yeah, okay… but hey, does this mean you'll give me a chance? At least to say sorry to Weiss?"

… hah… dammit, Sunshine was making her soft… normally she would have kicked the shit out of this asshole for hurting her friend's feelings in the first place… but she guessed that wasn't too bad of a thing… it meant that she trusted more, meant that she had been able to trust Jaune enough that she had… had been able to enjoy a very intimate and loving thing with him…

"He really is a nice guy! He's just an idiot, I swear!" Banana Boy called through the door, the rest of them looking at him unconvincedly. "He is! He's… well, he kinda just needs a good smack on the back of the head!"

…Fine. But if you dare look at my friends like that again, or if Weiss forgives you and you make her upset? They'll never find your body she accentuated the threat by making the image of a guillotine with his cartoon self, getting decapitated by the sharp blade as she grinned evilly at him. the terrified gulp he let out made it clear that he knew Neo was serious.

"Y-Yeah… okay! I'll go see her now!" he said, walking off with a purpose in his step as Neo made to send Amber Eyes to keep an eye on him. "Oh! Before I go… if things don't work out between me and Weiss… are you with that geeky looking guy? I mean, no offence, but he seems a little too wimpy and gangly to be with a girl as hot as you~" he grinned, leaning down and winking at her.

… whelp. I guess I'm not going soft after all!

Jaune held in a wince at the kick Neo delivered to the guys balls, hearing a sound that reminded him of a boiling kettle escaping his lips as he went down, even through the door… Jaune knew that the kick she had just delivered would put him down for a while. It didn't end there, either, Neo punting him in the jaw with the reinforced toe of her shoe before hopping onto his head that sent him slamming into the floor. Sun, who it turned out was definitely not his cousin from the fact he was from Vacuo, had seemed pretty nice if the way Blake had said she was glad he was nothing like his friend. In any case, Sun had gone and helped his crying teammate up, smacking the back of his head and asking just how stupid he had to be to try and pull a stunt like that!

He oof'd a little as a flying Neo slammed into his gut, rubbing her head against him with a smile, despite the dark colour in her eyes… she was angry. Not that he could blame her, he imagined most of the others would be showing their own… annoyance at the blueberry idiot.

"… Neo?"

Yep? She cutely asked, her head twitching to the side as Neptune called her a psycho, Jaune imagining the look she had given him as he yelped and told Sun to move faster!

"… heh… you only get away with that once. No more beating up idiots in the hall, okay?" he told her, Neo not looking guilty for a second as he happily took the high five that Yang and Nora offered her. Ruby was apparently her next target as she showed her a text as Ruby flicked her a salute and disappeared into the wind in the direction that Weiss went.

Neo smiled to herself proudly, not giving a shit as more than a few guys who had seen her little display in the hallway ran like hell the moment she appeared.
