"Here we are, intrepid adventurers! We've finally made it to the esteemed Port Timblin just off the coast of East Akkala Plains. This is our final stop along our perilous quest, folks. We hope you enjoyed your ride aboard the steam spewing vessel that is the Hyrule Express because we're heading back to Central Hyrule after this expedition. From now on, it's ship travel if you want to experience the rest of this expansive yet crawling with monsters world."

"Huh, so this is the port people have been so interested in. It's quite prevalent on most travel pamphlets too. The iconic red and white lighthouse is a staple of modern architecture. It's impressive that this rather large settlement was erected in only under five years," Riju reflects.

"Well, ever since the Rist Peninsula sunk deep beneath the ocean, this place became the perfect breeding ground for sailing and shipbuilding alike," Mr. Plum argues with a glint of wonder inhabiting his small brown pupils. "But yes, it's truly a remarkable feat that such a populated district could see the light of day in such a short span of time. I find it positively marvelous that I can be standing here today."

"I'm all for sightseeing, but I'm really hoping to find my Uncle soon. That is the mission princess Zelda imparted to us on our most recent video call. If I remember her words correctly, she said: try reasoning with any unhinged forces that threaten Hyrule's safety."

"It sounded as noisy and irritating as ever, but I got the memo."

Antihero's Wrath

"What were the rumors again? Let's see... oh yeah, he's already secured a ship and ravaging crews beyond the border," Gustav informs.

"So we're gonna need to find a ship to reach him."

Mr. Plum takes the opportunity to flaunt his nautical expertise, "From how I see it, you're basically limited to two options. Option one, you build your own ship and then recruit how many people you want to come aboard with you. Option two, you beg one of this village's many captains to take you with him across the border."

"Welp, since we're broke, I don't think we could ever afford to build our own ship. Plus, what would we even do with the boat after we're finished?" Tobias considers. "Let's go with option two. I'm sure there are plenty of starry-eyed captains looking to fulfill our request."

"What do you mean no one will go with us."

"Sorry lad, no one I know is willing to risk life over limb for just a silly little voyage."

"What are you talking about? Life over limb?"

"No one who's journeyed beyond the border ever comes back. Legend has it that a fabled island, known as Outlast Island, entangles sailors within its grasp. Once stranded, there is no hope of escape as you're confronted by the demons and monsters that inhabit your mind."

"Really? You're gonna believe that hunk of baloney. That sounds like a poorly made old wives tale. Haha, come on, you gotta be pulling my leg here," Riju ridicules.

"Good luck trying to find someone who will brave the journey. I'm surely not going out there."

"Come on; there's gotta be someone smart enough not to fall for this nonsense," Riju rallies.

"There is the town drunk, Captain Quark. He's one of the few survivors that's ever washed up on shore after traveling past the border. But he's basically crazy; you'll be lucky to knock some sense into him, let alone get him to take you along."

"Then we have our guy. Where can we find this fabled figure, Captain Quark?"

"Beats me, but you should probably start searching at a few of the local pubs. You know how the old adage goes, where there's smoke, there's fire."

"Where there's rum, there's a drunk," Riju expresses, surveying the ravenous bar.

"Are you sure about this, Riju? This place doesn't look the most kid-friendly."

"Says the guy who wants to be treated like an adult. Pick up the pace, and start moving those feathers," Riju motivates.

Gustav is greeted with a surplus of fiendish grins, "Yeah, I agree with Tobias on this one. We don't exactly belong here."

"Oh, be quiet, you two. There's nothing for you babies to be scared of. How about we split up? It'll make the search much easier. Link and Gustav, you go right. Toby and I will head left. Got it, okay, let's go!"

Gustav, the gigantic mass of muscles, cowers behind you as you approach the drink-ridden counter.

You order a nice glass of rum on the rocks from the bartender to brace the midnight slog.

You continue your search for the legendary captain, hoping to upturn any clues about his recent whereabouts. You and Gustav start chatting with some of the tavern's regulars to narrow down the list of locations Quark might be. Your conversation seems to spread around the bar, attracting the attention of multiple vital witnesses.

The bartender slides your drink along the table. A captain with a goatee and a blue feather sticking out of his hat stops your drink mid-slide, "I (hic) heard you were looking for (hic) Captain Quark, is that right?

"Yeah, do you know anything about him?" Gustav presses.

"You're (hic) looking at him," Quark says, chugging your glass sky high. He slams the drink on the table and demands another round of cactus juice—his long brown frilly coat acting as the perfect napkin for him to wipe the excess alcohol from his lips.

"You're Captain Quark, the mythical man who survived the deadly return trip home."

"Tch, please, no autographs."

"How did you do it? What happened to your ship. I have so many questions."

"Sorry, pal. I'm (hic) not in the mood to answer any questions."

"You could probably teach me a thing or two about using my strength wisely, like Guster. You could help me not be scared of entering places like this."

"Like I (hic) said. I'm not helping you out. I'm (hic) busy. I was just curious to see who was searching for me. That's (hic) all; you can go now."

"Did I mention that we need you to take us across the border? Or if I didn't, let me elaborate."

"What did you just say?"

The bar grows silent.

"We uh need you to take us beyond the border."

"Do you have a death wish, you piece of shit?" Captain Quark explodes, breaking the glass overtop the counter.

"Hey, hey, calm down. There's no reason to be so angry." You intrude.

"Why would any idiot wanna ever put themselves through the same traumatic experience I went through."

"Well, I want to find my Uncle."

"Your Uncle? Your Uncle! Seriously, your Uncle is fucking dead. Dead like anyone I ever loved."

"He is?"

Quark slams his fist, "If you go out on that ship, you'll lose everything too, your family, your friends, the person that matters most to you."

"But maybe we can."

"NO. You're not listening to me. I would never, under no circumstances, let anyone ever go beyond that border."

Riju appears, "What's all this commotion about, Link?"

"Caleith," The Captain mutters after spotting the Gerudo chief.

"You're alive."
