"So, I was thinking we could go out for some donuts tomorrow, maybe Zoro and Usopp can tag along to help us brainstorm with campaign ideas." Luffy suggests, hand in hand with Nami while carrying both his and her bag. Nami's bag on his back whilst his own slung over his shoulder.

As they walked the familiar trail to Nami's house, she didn't say much, she was in her own mind. "Hey, Nami? Are you listening?" Luffy stops walking so she'd stop too. She looks at him in surprise.

"What's the matter?" She asks, looking around.

"I said, let's go out for donuts tomorrow and brainstorm for your campaign." he repeats himself.

"Oh...donuts? Yeah, donuts are good."

"What's the matter? You seem to be out of it ever since we left school." Luffy furrows his brows lightly.

"N-nothing, haha, the campaign has me really stressed is all. I want to win this so badly." she lies.

Luffy stares at her before saying, "...yeah...I'm gonna make sure to help you win. So don't worry, you've got this." he reassures him with a smile. Luffy obviously knew she was lying to him. He felt a bit saddened that she wouldn't tell him the truth.

"Also, my grandpa wants me to get a job because working for Shanks and Makino isn't really sufficient." Luffy mentions.

"Have you thought of where you wanted to work?"

"He mentioned something about whole cake donuts. If I can get a job there, I get an employee's discount, plus I can get free donuts to bribe the kids at school to vote for you."

"Sounds like a master plan, but first you have to actually be hired." Nami smiles up at him. "And I don't think your boss will be too happy with you handing out free donuts almost everyday."

"I'm positive I'll get the job! I'm sooooo loveable."

"You sure are." Nami tiptoes to kiss him on the cheek.

Once Luffy says his goodbye to Nami, he starts his own journey back home. He thought to himself humming, "What is she hiding?" They basically told each other everything. "I better not think too hard or else my head will hurt." Luffy playfully kicks the rocks that were in his way like a child.

Coming across a little convenient stall on his way home, the smell of food made his stomach growl, he didn't recognize the old man, but stopped anyway. "Hey old man!" he cheerfully walks up the older man's stall.

"Watchu got here?" Luffy looked around to see if he wanted something.

"See for yourself. I'm trying to sell out before it gets dark."

"How much are your meat sticks?" Luffy inquires, practically drooling.

"How much do you got?"

"Three dollars."

"It's your lucky day, I'll sell them to you a dollar each."

"Sweet!" Luffy waits as the vendor takes three meat sticks off the pile. "Wait, don't bag them, I'll eat then right now."

The vendor just hands the meat sticks over like cotton candy. "Thank you!" Luffy walks away, leaving the money on the counter.

On his way home finishing his snack after taking five steps, he throws away his trash in a nearby bin. In some bushes nearby, Luffy hears something snap. He looks back at the vendor, then at the bushes. "Probably some animal." he thought to himself.

Once Luffy got home he threw his bag somewhere and kicked his shoes off, heading to the fridge. Already hungry again. The sliding doors leading to the backyard opens to reveal his grandfather.

"Oh, you're home." Garp kicks his shoes off to the side and goes to sit at his favorite place on the couch to watch the afternoon news.

"When will the car be out of the shop? Can you start teaching me to drive?" Luffy asks, heating up some leftover pizza.

"Sometime next week. I'll teach you when I have free time."

"You're retired, you always have free time." Luffy looks over to see him fast asleep on the couch. Luffy takes his pizza out of the new microwave and goes to the living room to eat. He looks at the television, then at the remote next to his grandfather.

Luffy snatches the remote quickly, "Oi, I'm watching that." Garp wakes up.

"You were just sleeping!"

"I was resting my eyes! Go watch television in Sabo's room!"

"No! I want to watch it down here, I'm already comfortable!"

"You damn brat, I told you about talking back to me!" Garp hits Luffy on his head.

"Ow!" Luffy cries out.

"Oh, I've been meaning to ask you, when are you gonna introduce me to your little girlfriend? After all this time and you haven't thought of bringing her around not once?" Garp snatches the remote back from Luffy.

"You want to meet her?"

"Yeah, who knows, you could just be making this entire thing up as a reason not to come home early when you don't have practice."

"I'm not making her up! I'll bring her around next week, or maybe Sunday."

"No, we need to clean up around here first. Just give me the heads up before you bring her."

Luffy takes a look around the house. "You're really a slob for an old man." Luffy eats his pizza in two bites.

"This is all your shit!" Garp hits him again.

Walking along the streets of downtown Luffy, Nami, Zoro and Usopp all walked together heading for the donut shop. Whole Cake Donuts. A beautifully decorated shop with a theme of hot pink and white.

Zoro held the door open for his friends to walk in first then follow behind them.

"Wow! I've never been in here before, it smells great!" Luffy marvels, looking around the shop.

"Welcome to whole cake donuts." A tall man with spiky crimson hair walks out the back with an apron on spelling the name Charlotte across.

"You guys, it'll be my treat. Luffy go easy on my pockets." Usopp warns Luffy.

"Do you want anything Nami?" Luffy looks over to Nami across the shop who had claimed a seat for the four.

"No, I'm fine. I ate earlier." Luffy's smile drops a little then proceeds to order some donuts for himself.

Once the boys were seated with their donuts. Nami pulls out a notebook and an orange pen to take notes.

"Okay, let's do some brainstorming." Nami titles her page.

"I say, we bribe them with donuts." Luffy stuffs his face with the dozen he ordered.

"We can't bribe them, Charlos will just copy us and probably buy them all sports cars or something. They're loaded." Usopp shares his thoughts.

"Can be positive for just a minute?" Zoro asks sarcastically.

"This...I… fine..maybe I was being negative for a second." Usopp tries to fight back.

"I already hung up posters around school, I should try to get on the intercom and say a speech after morning announcements. What do you guys think?" Nami asks.

"Go for it!" Luffy encourages her.

"Are you gonna write it this week?" Usopp asks cleaning his fingers of the powdered donuts.

"When I get back home."

"Well, you're pretty popular at school, you have a decent amount of followers on Kumagram, all the teachers love you. Just use that to your advantage. Get them to mention how important it is that they pick a good leader for the school." Usopp suggests.

"Isn't there gonna be a debate that you have to prepare for? You should win since you're the captain of the debate team." Zoro comments.

"You guys are making me nervous."

"Then don't be. I already told you, you're gonna be fine." Luffy tells her and stuffs his face with another donut.

"Yeah, I wish it was that easy." Nami rolls her eyes sighing.

"Oh, I'll be back guys. I've got to get a job." Luffy slides out of the booth and goes up to the counter.

Luffy rings the bell on the counter for an employee to come on out. The same man that served them comes out. "Hey, I heard you guys were hiring, can I get a job or what?" Luffy asks.

"Do you have a scheduled interview?"

"Do I need one? It looks pretty empty in here." Luffy looks around only seeing him and his friends as the only customers.

The crimson haired guy just stared at him with his crimson eyes. "Come around to the back."

"I can't believe he just asked for a job like that. How much do you want to bet he's gonna fail?" Usopp asks Zoro and Nami.

"He's probably gonna get it. The universe always works in his favor." Zoro sighs and closes his box of unfinished donuts.

"Well….like he said he's a 'loveable' person." Nami doodles in the corner of her page.

Luffy went around back to the office of the donut shop. Walking by all the machinery and freezer. Sitting aint he chair opposite to the crimson haired man.

"Firstly, I'm Charlotte Katakuri. Address me as Mr. Charlotte."

"You got it Katakuri." Luffy nods.

Katakuri looks at him with no emotions then proceeds, "Secondly, why should I hire you? It's a simple question."

"Well, my grandfather said I should get a job, because I need to have money of my own and start helping out with the bills. He's been retired for a while and he doesn't like it when I have to borrow money all the time, taking money out of his pockets."

"Your grandfather sent you?"

"Yup."

"And he's retired?"

"Yeah."

"Is he sick?"

"Well, he falls asleep a lot of the time at random times, like midway conversation, watching television, eating or taking a shit. I don't know if that counts as sickness."

"You're hired."

"Really?! Sweet! When do I start? Can I have free donuts? Do I have an employee discount?"

"I'm only giving you the job because of your grandfather. Don't fxck it up."

Luffy walks out back with a smile on his face which immediately gives away his big news. Usopp stares in disbelief, Zoro also shocked at the happy go lucky boy. Nami smiles at him with her chin resting in the palm of her hand.

"Hey guys, guess who got a job?" Luffy grins, "this guy." and points his two thumbs at himself.

"You came back really quick. How was the interview." Usopp comments.

"I nailed it. How do you think I got the job?

"I guess you really are just 'loveable'." Nami beams at him, sharing his excitement with him.

Luffy slides in the booth next to Zoro sitting across from Nami. The four are still confused at how Luffy got the job.

"Ah, well, that explains it better. You told him about your grandfather. Some people have tender hearts towards the elders." Usopp smiles in satisfaction.

While the four talk about Luffy and his new job, completely forgetting why they were there in the first palace. The bell above the door chimes as the door opens. Katakuri walks out from the back to assist his incoming customers.

"Hey big bro, I came to say hi and get some donuts." a familiar voice says.

The four turn their attention to the two incoming customers, who happened to be Sanji and his girlfriend Pudding. Zoro's face immediately fixes into a look of disgust and Luffy flares his nostrils in distaste.

Sanji turns around sensing people staring at them. "Oh." he says with hands in his pockets. "Nami-san...Usopp...shitty moss and….you."
